The food was great but the place was SO loud. So loud that we really didn't enjoy our meal.

Quite possibly the best breakfast place in town. And if you are looking for a GREAT and HUGE breakfast, the lumberjack breakfast is great... and huge! Also they are great with substitutions, a family member can't eat eggs and they are fine swapping out the eggs for extra non-eggs. read more

some mixed reviews here on yelp but my take on Toast is positive. small parking lot, small building and crowded - tables are close together but not too bad. our waitress was quick, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time and all of it was good - she also kept the hot coffee flowing. its the kind of place you want to go back to because there is so much that looks so good on the menu - and when you see the table next to you getting what you didnt order and it looks so good you know you will be back soon! i had eggs and french toast, want to go back and try the oreo pancakes .. they look interesting. at our table we had some scrambles and a breakfast burrito and there were no complaints. good stuff! read more

Great service! The staff is nice and helpful, but the food is just ok, parking in the area stinks, the chairs are hard, and the restaurant is very loud and noisy when it's busy because of how the place is setup, and the lack of sound barrier material on the walls and ceiling. You have to yell across the table to have any sort of conversation, not exactly how you want to have brunch with friends. read more

My family went here early in the morning on a Saturday. The service was okay and staff was nice. Coffee not very good. I ordered French toast for myself and French toast off kids menu for my two children. These were huge slices of bread that were not expected. We had the same size and slices of bread(?) A heads up would have been appreciated. Nothing else came with these slices. I was expecting white bread, Texas toast style. The bread was large, multigrain artisan style; not great for a five and three year old. My five year old didn't like or eat it. My husband ordered an omelette which was the wrong one and side potatoes were not fully cooked. Our bill was pretty high for what we ordered. Disappointing experience. Will never go back. Will go to Village Inn with coupon and get better food for less. read more

Rock hard chicken fried steak. Returned it for a redo but they said it would be the same. Not cool! Food should be made to order, especially at a place that has "fine food" in its name. Potatoes were cold and dry. Decaf coffee was warm, old and had a weird after taste (wouldn't call that fine coffee). Service was good, but a little slow. The atmosphere was drab and loud. Biscuits and gravy and pancakes were good. Overall the worst breakfast I've had in the Denver area. If you are looking for a good breakfast in Denver, try Sassafras. read more

This place it totally overrated. I tried the joint several months and had heard good things about it. I was so excited when I saw Chicken Fried Steak and eggs on the menu. Much to my disappointment, they were out of CFS. How can you be out of Chicken Fried Steak? I could understand being out of an item if it was difficult to prepare, limited quantity or just plain hard to find. But come on. So, thinking this was just an anomaly, we tried Toast again. And once again, they were out of Chicken Fried Steak. Are you kidding me? I tried to order some Orange Juice. Sorry, we are out of OJ. What the heck? What are you going to tell me next? No more eggs? Did I mention we tried to dine there at 9am? How are you out of breakfast items at 9 am? And....if you're lucky enough to find your breakfast item in stock it is mediocre at best. My theory is..... first time, shame on you, second time, shame on me. Needless to say, there will not be a third. In summary, avoid this place. Cuz you will only drive down there and they will be out of want you wanted. I was 0-3 in trying to find something to eat. read more

I will preface this review by saying that I used to like Toast quite a lot (that was in my pre-Yelp days). I have been back twice recently and was not even underwhelmed. The service was lacking any kind of hospitality - wait staff unfriendly and hard to find. On my most recent visit, our food took forever (ok, maybe it was 15 min) to come out, and it was all COLD. When we pointed it out to the waitress, she just grabbed the plates and took them back to the kitchen. The food did come back warm-ish (after 10 more minutes), but there was no apology. My eggs in the Benedict were overcooked (hard yolks) and the potatoes were literally a baked potato sliced into 5 or 6 thick pieces and wiped in a little bit of grease. Certainly not worth the $49 tab for 3 of us for breakfast. I'm sad that this previously great neighborhood place has fallen so far. read more

Coffee wasn't impressive. They were unable to provide the crab cake po' boy, so I opted for the nutella french toast. What disappointment. Not only did my plate look like a blind, one-armed gimp prepared it, the french toast was really dry and so un-egg dipped and fried. The lazy chef must have taken a tablespoon a smudged nutella on top, failing to cover half of the bread and the bananas looked like they used a fork to chop it- uneven and chunky. He had the carrot cake pancake and it was delicious! Full of carrot cake flavor and yummy cream cheese drizzle. His plate wasn't impressive presentation-wise, but it tasted fabulous and that's all that matters. If only my dish was prepared properly, I could have easily given 3-4 stars.. but it wasn't, so there you go. read more

This place was great. The latte was the size of a fish bowl and 10 times better than any coffee chain. The pancakes were the size of plates and like 2 inches thick. The Devils Food pancakes were chocolate heaven. Eggs Benedict was amazing. Really neat and fun place. Get there early on weekends. It gets crowded fast. We went at 8:30am and got a table but minutes later there were people waiting. Worth it. So good. Love this little town. Littleton has something for everyone. read more

Pancake Heaven !!! Just take a quick look at the menu and you'll see that there's a ton of variety of pancakes and french toast. All of it is awesome! From the 'biscuits and gravy' (awesome and hearty) to strawberry cheesecake pancakes. The French Toast is soooooo good. My advice is come hungry, the portions are very filling. I met friends here for a late breakfast, early lunch in order to avoid the wait and so that we could find parking. The location of this place is pretty crazy, but I'd heard good things. My go-to breakfast is Benedict, and I went with Garden. The veggies were almost non-existent, the "TOAST" was just ho hum and the worst part was that the 3 meals were all cold when they arrived. We waited forever and I can't help but think that the food was ready but the waitress was napping. Overpriced and over-hyped. read more

Here' the email I sent the owner, I haven't received a response. Good Afternoon, My husband & I just left with a bitter taste in our mouths. We save "Toast" for special occasions, this being my birthday. My husband ordered a club, & I ordered the pumpkin french toast with coffee. I added a sweetner, and about 1/2 a cup later asked for a warm up. The waiter fills my cup and returns it to me & as I'm stirring it I notice that there's something wrong, with the spoon I pull out 2 raw sugar empty packets! Meaning I was drinking out of a used coffee cup, extremely grossed out. (After hearing about a "new bug"in the United States from Mexico that feeds on your face and transfered from kissing or from mouth to mouth) I tell the waiter who says, I'm sorry & removes the cup from the table, and promptly brings me a new one. Of course I'm not going to drink coffee! He immediately brings us our check & says I've comp'ed your coffee, Needless to say after owning my own restaurant, he should have at the very least spoke to a manager & the manager should have came to the table. Overall I would say this is one of the top breakfast spots in Denver. The food was delicious and unique. The atmosphere? Quaint and nothing like a big chain. My only complaint is the service, slow and inattentive. However, I saw other waiters doing a much better job with their tables so I will definitely give it a second chance. The food is worth it. I had bacon, eggs, potatoes and chai french toast. The chai french toast taste like fall, heavenly. If you've got a sweet tooth this is a place you'll have to try! read more

Stopped in here for something brunchy on Saturday around 11:30 after hitting the Parisian Market at Aspen Grove. The parking lot in front is very tight, but there was a sign that said additional parking was available out back. I never did find that other parking lot (I circled the block looking for it) but lucked out as someone was just leaving the front lot when I came back around. It appeared that there was going to be a wait for a table, but since there was only two of us, we were seated immediately in the rather crowded and noisy front dining room. As we were led to our table by the hostess, I caught glimpses of some fantastic-looking French toast and pancakes. However, I'm not a big fan of sweets for breakfast, so I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Perfectly wobbly poached eggs perched on top of crispy fried pancetta, a toasted English muffin and the best damn Hollandaise sauce I've ever had in a restaurant. Yum! OH, and nestled up against all that goodness were the best browned potatoes with bits of onion and green pepper - their version of home fries. Delicious! My dining partner, the lovely Twiggy, ordered the breakfast burrito - a flour tortilla stuffed to the gills with spicy Chorizo, eggs, and other goodies, then smothered in green chile and cheese. She said it was amazing and I believe her (and how can someone so skinny consume a burrito the size of her head, anyway?)! The service was attentive and friendly, albeit a little on the slow side, but that's understandable as the place was mobbed. Really good place. I've been once, and I thought it was great. If you want something really over the top and great, order the blueberry and cream cheese french toast. Holy Moly! The french toast is really thick and the cream cheese and blueberries pushed it over the top. Just a little maple syrup to go along with it and it's heaven. Of course, after eating it I felt as if I would die from being so full, and from sugar overload. It's not overly sweet for what it is, but it's simply huge. Easily enough to share. Pretty sure it came with eggs and potatoes as well. I haven't been back simply because I don't like to eat like that but about once a year, and I know if I go again I'll never resist the french toast! Love coming here for breakfast! The tables are small, parking can be difficult, certain staff members are quite quirky, and the decor (paintings the shape of a slice of toast) is nothing short of odd... But forget all that! The food is fabulous! I highly recommend Toast to anyone that will listen! Probably my favorite cinnamon roll in the metro area and the perfect compliment to the coffee. I also recommend the bourbon praline pancakes if you have someone to share them with! Their toast is pretty awesome too :) well worth the weekend wait! read more

Such a cute and homey restaurant with real creative toast art! And the food was DE-LISH! We got seated right away when we arrived. We had actually sat in the back room because the front dining area was packed, but that was fine with us. The back room was fairly simple, with no order to any of the tables and chairs set up there. The walls caught my eye first--toast art! Such a creative idea to have paintings on a toast outlined pallet, with each art based on the theme of toast. Funny how I'm making this restaurant sound like an art gallery, but that's what intrigued me first. My tummy's grumble reminded me of the primary reason of why we're here! We each ordered our drinks--a hot cocoa, a creme brulee cafe latte, and a regular coffee. Nothing to rave about, but it's still a great start for breakfast! This place is awesome if you're craving pancakes and sweet breakfast dishes. Three of us shared the pancake flight (shown in the pictures). My fave was the strawberry pancake, but I'm biased towards strawberries. The oreo pancake was also good too; the crunchiness of the oreo cookies complemented the softness of the pancakes well. However the best part of the pancake was the dallop of creamy chocolate on top--not super rich or super sweet either (it means a lot for me to say that given that I"m not a chocolate lover). I couldn't taste the lemon in the blueberry lemon pancake, but my friends sure did (which is why I let them finish it). I'm not big on nuts, so I didn't care too much for the banana nut, but my friend surely loved it! The sweetness wasn't overwhelming--just perfect for me. You can always add extra syrup if you like it super sweet! Ok, we didn't just have pancakes, although I can go on some more about the pancakes. We also had the berry-filled french toast. We couldn't finish this one! While we tried to finish the pancake flight, the sweetness of that dish completely saturated our tastebuds, so it was difficult to finish this huge plate of sweetened french toast. It didn't appear to be a lot, but as they say, "your eyes are bigger than your stomach!" The salty dish finally came, and thank goodness we didn't order 3 sweet breakfast dishes! You can only have so much sweetness in the morning. We had the Denver omelet which came with 2 slices of toast (although we ordered English muffins) and herbed roasted potatoes. The potatoes were so tasty--crisp on the outside, soft and warm in the inside. We ended taking home half the omelet and part of the french toast. We're really not small eaters--the portions were just really that big! This is a great weekend spot to come to, especially when you're craving something sweet. I'm sure the other wholesome non-sweet dishes are just as tummy-satisfying, but I liked what we tasted, so that's what I'm recommending! They have a triple, yes TRIPLE decker BLT. It is so big my son can't even fit the entire height of the sandwich in his mouth & he has a BIG mouth. We were in Denver visiting and had breakfast at Sassafras-Jefferson, Snooze, and Toast. Toast was by far the best in all ways. The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was comfortable/pleasant (love the hallway plastered with kids' art and the painted toast in the main dining area and the food was outstanding. I had a basic breakfast of eggs, bacon, potatoes (standout) and pancakes (in all, more than enough to share with my 3 yr old daughter, although they have an extensive kids menu); my aunt had the same with a giant piece of ham; and my husband had the country fried steak which was ridiculously huge with really tasty gravy.
