The Vietnamese steak eggs with potatoes is my favorite thing to eat here and I refuse to order anything else. The presentation has improved and the flavor is just as good as I remember.

The fruity pebbles donut was also standard, it's exactly what you expect it to be. My husband had eggs and pancakes, also standard. Iced coffee was a little watered down, could be creamier and a little more sweet. Service was okay...

I ordered the Hangover Pancakes. The pancakes were out of this world. They were light, sweet and so very tasty. The bacon was crisp without being overcooked and the sausage patty was savory and well-cooked. I was a little...

underwhelmed by the scrambled eggs; they were somewhat bland and tasteless. But, on the whole, the breakfast was delightful and hit the spot. My order was taken quickly, and there was very little time between being seated, getting drinks and ordering and receiving food. The service was very efficient in that regard. I did have to leave my table to find someone to bring me butter for my pancakes (which were pleasingly hot) but other than that, the service was more than satisfactory. I will definitely be back to try other menu items.

I had the hangover pancakes. My friend had the breakfast quesadillas. We both also tried the cronuts and the kimchi fries. We were obviously hungry. Lol. Food and mimosas were amazing! We Will definitely be going back!

The breakfast platter is insane and everything on there was perfect!! the bacon is crispy, the shrimp and grits took my boy back to Baton Rouge that's how authentic it tasted, and that ube waffle is a hit. Chef Tam and his wife Renda are on a whole new level when it comes to cooking and customer service..the personal touch is felt at every plate. Great place to brunch at!

I've come here twice within the past couple of months, and both times I got the chicken and waffles. They were pretty good! Waffle was a little dry my second time coming here, so that's why I'm deducting 1 star. Service and ambience are great. Love that they have halal options, def recommend.

Went with family for brunch. We ordered the following items. Korean sub 4/5. Beef was tender. Plenty of fries. Generous portion. . Fried chicken sandwich 4/5. Also a thick juicy patty. Came with a generous portion of French fries. Surf n turf. 4/5 My son enjoyed his sandwich. Also served with French fries. Pancakes. 3/5. With powdered sugar and condensed milk. They were ok. I figured the milk would enhance flavor, but it was quite the opposite. Service was fine. Good convo with server. Refills on time. The place is relatively smaller inside. I'm drawing a blank to remember, if they have a few seating outside. I wanna say yes, but check at restaurant.

We stopped in after our baseball tournament. Place is small and it can get really loud inside. Our server was really busy but over all okay! I loved that they had breakfast & lunch. I got the buffalo chicken wrap it was delicious. My husband got the buffalo chicken sandwich the chicken was moist. He just didn't care for the ranch. My daughters got strawberry banana French toast it was huge & she loved it!

Used Google to find a nearby resturant so ended up here. Great parking. Walked in the door and wasn't greeted right away. We sat for a few minutes. A few workers passed us by without saying a word and then the host finally came. I will give grace because they were busy. Service was actually pretty quick. Our server was cool. They brought us others people food twice. The workers were moving and grooving.. I won't lie. Our food finally came. Presentation was great. Potatoes were cold, pancake was cold, burrito was hot. Got a new hot pancake but there was nothing special about it. The burritos lacked flavor but were huge. It was decent breakfast. The manager came to to check on us. Probably won't return though.

My my my what an absolute amazing experience. Upon entry, we were greeted immediately and made aware of a 35 minute wait. However, we were seated much quicker. Although they were busy, the service was amazing. Our waiter Michael was such a pleasure. He took our order and food came out quickly. EVERYTHING we ordered was yummy. I most definitely will be visiting again very soon.

Not my favorite. While the service was friendly and fast, they failed in cleanliness for me. I ordered a coffee and an omelette. Very simple. However, the first coffee cup was dirty so I asked for a clean cup. The second coffee up was filled to the rim with coffee and still not clean. Cleaner than the first one but not clean.. So I ended up paying for coffee that I didn't drink and food that was okay. Nothing memorable. I wouldn't go back ‍

My latte was so gross. It came with a thick layer of foam that broke apart into dense chunks when I stirred it. After stirring the whole latte became the consistency of porridge. Alarmed, I asked the server, who took it away and remade. Her explanation was that it was overfilled. That was not a reasonable explanation. Remade latte was not gross but did not taste good. Food was meh at best, and expensive. $6 for a soggy overly sweet cronut.

This is a cute but small place. They have outside seating, bar seating and general area seating. There was a wait when we got there but we opt to sit at the bar; so, it wasn't that much of a wait. Because it's so busy it took a min for us to get served; but it wasn't bad. The food was good. The mimosa flight; in my opinion was drowned out by the juice that was in it. I wouldn't get that again, as I like a whisper in my mimosas, lol. However, the vibe was just right. A very cute place for brunch. I would definitely come back. Oh, and we got the Philly Steak loaded fries, subbed the steak for chicken and it was SO GOOD! Definitely try it. You won't regret it. Promise!

Myself and two others came in on a Sunday morning around 11:30 am and were lucky to be seated right away as it was pretty busy. It took a few minutes to be greeted but we weren't upset as we were busy browsing the menu. Once our server got to us, we ordered mango mimosas which came pretty quick. They were sweet but didn't necessarily taste like mango which was odd - not bad but I've had better. For food we ordered the avocado smash & toast with seasonal fruit (a slice of watermelon), the Korean beef bahn mi with fries, the California chicken sandwich with fries and the Oreo cheesecake kronut. The only things memorable were the fries (well seasoned and crispy) and the kronut (I know it's a mix between a donut and a croissant but it reminded me of a funnel cake - seriously delicious!) but the sandwiches and toast lacked flavor despite the toppings and sauces. Our server was friendly but she was clearly overwhelmed and took a bit between visits. Additionally, the pre-bussing around the restaurant lacked - there was silverware and food on the floor and dirty plates left on empty tables. Again, I understand they are busy and understaffed but being mindful of cleanliness is important. We saw some other, more breakfast-ish items coming out of the kitchen that looked good. Perhaps we made the mistake of ordering more lunch time food vs standard breakfast/brunch. I think it's worth giving it a try but I wouldn't have super high expectations! read more

My family and I drove 40 minutes to Toast after hearing about their great service and delicious breakfast items. Although we felt welcomed, we waited 20 minutes for a table, not to mention there were already 2 tables that just needed to be cleaned off. The environment was somewhat loud but alive, but that should tell you how popular it is. Our visit came to a turn when we waited way longer than expected. We understood that this establishment was a busy one and were willing to wait. As we were seated for almost 20 minutes, most of the staff was simply standing around looking at everyone including us, meanwhile we were simply waiting for a server ask us for what we wanted to drink. No one ever came to help us which made us feel unwelcome after all. Sad to say that Toast didn't meet expectations. Nonetheless, do not let our experience stop you, I'm sure it's a great place for breakfast and/or brunch. Overall our experience was not the best. We hope to come back and maybe get some kind of service to change our opinion about Toast. read more

Went to grab breakfast on 8/21 and was very upset not because my order was messed up. Mistakes happen! But the way the server handled the situation. Ryanna took my order over the phone and I told her not to add any meat in my order. When I came to pick it up and opened it before checking out I saw that my breakfast burrito was filled with minced meat. I was upset because I repeated it twice to Ryanna over the phone to make sure. When I saw it I told her that there was meat in it. She looked at me very upset and said "I told them no meat" she rolled her eyes and took my order to the back and came back out and brought me the receipt and 'threw it in front of me' and said "here see I told them no meat" I said why are you telling me go tell them and have them remake it" she rolled her eye again and went inside then came outside and didn't say nothing to me. I felt ignored and extremely disrespected. This issue escalated even more when I had another lady (who apologized on behave of Ryanna ) take my payment. Leanne came and said I will do it. And as Leanna swiped my card with anger she threw it in the trash (please see picture). Everything about her was awful; she could have avoided all of this and simply should have apologize for what happened and said I'll have it remade. But instead she gave me so much attitude and disrespect that I have a really sour feeling about this place in my heart and will not be returning here again. And will definitely not recommend any of my family and friends to visit this place. We don't come for free food we come for good food and great service and are willing to pay for that good service. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told that Ryanna was the manager. After I paid for my stuff and left I did some research to found the owner so that I can give my feedback. I came to find that there is no use to talk to the owner or the manager because Ryanna turned out to be the owner's daughter. ‍ My advice to the owner is if you cannot teach your own child how to behave and acknowledge their mistake and apologize then I don't know why you would hire your own to ruin your business's reputation. The service was really good as we were a group and got a table pretty quickly. The iced coffee was very good but the brewed one was average. The portions were perfect as they were not too much , but the watermelon was a weird attempt at filling up the plate.The Buffalo breakfast burrito was 8/10. The hash browns were average and the pancakes were a little dry. Recommendations include the Pico de Gallo potatoes and the Fruity pebbles French Toast, 10/10. read more

We went on a Saturday for brunch. Hostess and waitress were friendly. Food was just OK. My husband's food came out 5 minutes after mine. There was only 2 of us. Nobody bothered to sweep the floor with all the napkins and garbage. Outside was very cold and rainy so our table was very cold when people entered and left welcoming a cold draft. read more

This was such a nice place, we were so hungry so we avoided the 20 minute wait by sitting at the bar. The waitress that helped us was quick and very friendly and the food came quickly and was delicious. I got the fruity pebble French toast, I wish there would have been more vanilla cream sauce on top since they were a little dry and I love soggy toast inside was very busy but not too loud or distracting, it was a very nice Sunday brunch spot. read more

Looks small from the outside, however it's loaded on the inside! Toast is a wonderful out of the way place that evidently the locals flock to. We we're staying at the Hampton Inn and missed the free breakfast. Wow! Am I glad we did! This place was fantastic. I had the avocado toast with bacon and added 2 eggs. The eggs were actually done perfectly, the avocado was just seasoned with "everything" ( like the bagel). I also got a " Funky Monkey" Croinut, to die for! My friend got the " Chocoberry" which didn't last long.. If you're ever in the neighborhood check this place out. You'll be more than happy you did. read more

For some reason the pictures posted on a news article makes the space looks huge, but it's not. A small modern diner feel. They just recently open and I can see still working things out. Plenty of parking for now since the other businesses are still under construction. I was hoping for more of the breakfast twist like they serve at their donut shop (the grove donuts) it's more traditional breakfast plates, cronuts, and some lunch items such as wings, salads, sandwiches. Came on a Saturday for brunch after a play date. While waiting for our food they were passing out some cronut samples, which really helped calm our hangry kiddos. My friend enjoyed her burger with fries. The kids meal pancake portion is pretty big, I really thought it was two mini pancake but it's like the size you get from Denny's. Pancakes very fluffy and delicious. They don't have whipped butter, just some land of lakes packaging. I really like my over easy egg sandwich on brioche bun that came with the hash brown casserole & It was cheesy but quite bland to me. I added some salt and tasted yummy. The strawberry cheesecake cronut was delicious that I didn't even share any of it. The sample given to us was cinnamon sugar,reminded me of a fluffy churro. I'm pregnant now and don't go out often anymore during covid but we came here recently because I had a huge craving of breakfast and carbs. It was our first time trying it. I wanted to go somewhere that felt safe and not too crowded. We sat at their side patio that was empty so that was nice. The menu had breakfast brunch on one side and lunch dinner on the other side. We got brunch and the portions were amazing!! The price was decent compared to all brunch places but the portion really made it more of a value. I had the biscuit and gravy dish and my husband got the classic breakfast. Their cheesy hash browns were my FAVORITE!! You MUST choose that every time as your side. Their potatoes were good too it had a nice Cajun seasoning to them, but the hash browns tasted even better. The biscuit and gravy was just okay. The biscuit was a bit dense and the gravy wasn't as warm as I'd like it to be. Everything else tasted really good and fresh. We also got French toast and you can't really go wrong with that. I also wanted to give the place five stars because we received good friendly service that day. I told the waitress I was pregnant and she very accommodating and sweet about it. Let me start off by saying the service was horrible! Our table was unattended for about 15min . I had to grab the host to put in my order. Waited 30min and Food was cold! They messed up the order! How does three little French toasts take longer than steak and eggs???? Waste of time and money read more

I came back a few weeks after the grand opening with some girlfriends to give this place another try. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday morning but service picked up around 9am, which was surprising to me for a breakfast place. Our server was very friendly... Yay for that. This time, I tried out the California Chicken sandwich off the lunch menu since I already tried breakfast, and I wanted to try their fries. Verdict is, its a good sandwich... And I liked the fries too. My friend had the steak and eggs. When I tried it I found the steak a tad dry for my liking but overall not bad. I question the salad... I dont really see salad accompanying a breakfast meal. This place doesmt "blow me away" but its close to home, clean, friendly, ambiance is nice, and food is okay. I would eat here again and I hope in time... It'll get there. Start serving unlimited coffee refills... Then, I'm sold. read more

What a weird experience. Started off very friendly and kind. We ordered and the server was great. Then things went downhill. We got 2/5 entrees, they were great. Then we waited 20 minutes and got the third. Then we had to get up and ask what was happening and we got the fourth. Then we waited another 45 minutes. It's now been over an hour and the only one who didn't get their order, is a 4-year old who wanted pancakes. Server is nowhere to be seen. Friendly owner/manager nowhere to be seen. No apology. We send the kids to figure out how pancakes can take over an hour. Then a random other employee comes and has the gumption to suggest that they'll take the pancakes off the bill because we didn't get it. We told them our four year old is starving and they finally bring it. Again, serve never shows her face again, owner/manager never shows his face. No apology, no discount, and a mandatory 18% gratuity when 0% was deserved. Food is great, everything else is torturously bad. read more

I love trying new breakfast/brunch places out now with a girlfriend of mine. This one was on my list to go try and it did not disappoint. The service was OUTSTANDING! The food was very good and large in size as well. I will definitely go again and recommend you checking this one out. I had the breakfast quesadilla and that cilantro dressing on top was BOMB I also loved the cute way they give you your bill so awesome! read more

I ate here around 1 PM, so perhaps that's why there were so few customers. It did worry me. The BLT and fries I ordered were hot and plentiful. I would certainly come back when craving a BLT. I swear it was a pound of bacon with a small salad on toast. The fries were crispy and seasoned. I couldn't finish them all, and I rarely leave food behind. I will come back and try breakfast. read more

The service is slow. To about 20 min. to get our food. Only 1 other table was occupied at the time. All tables were dirty, we had to clean ourselves. Lots of servers but not very attentive. There were fruit flies in our plates and drinks. One Call Club, a kids grilled cheese with fruit, an ala carte french toast and a decaf coffee was $40. The chicken was in pieces vs one large chicken breast. The grilled cheese was burnt! The french toast was awful, dry. The salt & pepper shoe string fries were good, crispy. I ate them all but definitely not enough to bring me back. I was charged for a side of sauce that I never got. I will not be returning because I prefer Whataburger in the same shopping center. It is so much more affordable. oh well. read more

Amazing location, all of the staff adhered to the COVID 19 Guidelines. Here's the good part! I was greeted and promptly waited on the waitress Jenna was extremely nice and approachable she moved very quickly when bringing drinks back to the table. It was a fairly slow day but she continuously checked on tables and ensured that all of my needs were met while seated. The food was so hot and fresh. The eggs were so soft and cheesy which I enjoyed! The French toast was covered in fresh berries which were delicious. I'll visit this location again. read more

If a pretty plate of food is a turnoff to you then definitely do not come here. Look at these carnitas fries!! Not one of those pretty on the outside but ugly inside kinda thing we all have met The fries were lightly crispy with nice soft interior topped by a heap of carnitas with tomatoes, queso and.... well you can see it. Delicious and I'll be back to try more from this nice varied menu. Oh, and you can order breakfast or lunch menu anytime The staff is all very personable and helpful I cannot point to any flaws at this wonderful Sugar Land gem!! read more

I really wish I could leave a better review here. I've been coming here for some time and really like the food. The service is always so horrible. They either lose an order or take forever to complete an order. I placed an online order and asked the person at the counter about my order. He went to ask about it and said it wasn't ready. I asked him how much longer it would be and he just replied "no" and walked away. Turns out the ordering system crashed and my order was never received. I've been trying to support this place for a while now but their issues continue and never get better. I will not be coming back anytime soon. read more

Walked in and went to bathroom. The bathroom smelled disgusting and the bathroom was sooo dirty. I could understand if it was busy but that bathroom had not been deep cleaned in a long time. The toilet and the bottom of it. The floors everything and the sink was dirty inside. If you think customers are not paying attention. If I'm grossed out by using the bathroom no way I can eat the food. Please hire professional cleaners to deep clean that bathroom. read more

This establishment is truly awful. The service was terrible, and my son's order was forgotten after we waited for over an hour for our food. Our server didn't even offer to comp his meal after he waited so long. The food was so disgusting that it was almost unbelievable. The bill came, and it was ridiculously overpriced on top of everything else. It was shocking to see how crowded this place was with the service and the quality of the food. My omelet was basically eggs with chunky vegetables thrown inside. Do not spend your money or waste an hour and a half waiting for horrific food! read more

anytime i've ever came to visit during peak hours im always disappointed. if you wanted to try the firecracker wings they definitely aren't packing any heat and the only thing "hot" about the flavor would be your breath because it was packed with onion overall. service wasn't too busy coming in but they definitely got busier by 11:30 and were failing to do any check ups in between as customer were trickling in. read more

The esthetics/ambiance for a brunch is good. The doughnuts are delicious. When it comes to the savory part of the menu there is a lot to be desired. We tried the avocado toast and corned beef hash. The avocado toast, was more of a bread (very lightly toasted) making the texture mushy. The corned beef hash was pretty much canned potted beef with little crispy potato straws, maybe the worst I've ever had. Both dishes lacked flavor, salt, and were overall lackluster. Could use a utensil upgrade thinnest silverware I've ever used. We didn't get butter knives and had to use our forks to spread butter and jam on our very lightly toasted bread. Our server was great, she was very busy but still made sure we were taken care of. read more

I paid attention to every single person who sat down after us and witnessed the difference of how they were being treated compared to us and it just validated how we felt, uncomfortable and awful. We will never go back and if you can take anything from this review, try somewhere else.

I recently visited Toast for breakfast based on a social media recommendation, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. We arrived around 10 a.m., so the restaurant wasn't too busy, yet the service was very slow. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the shrimp and grits, Hangover with pancakes, French toast, and an egg white omelette with veggies. The shrimp and grits portion was decent in size, but the taste was a letdown. Instead of the creamy, flavorful grits Texas is known for, it tasted more like grits drowned in tomato sauce--definitely not the comforting Southern dish we were hoping for. The Hangover with pancakes was another letdown. The pancakes were cold, dry, and flavorless--far from the fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth stacks you'd expect from any decent breakfast spot. My French toast took a full 45 minutes to arrive, and by the time it did, it was cold. I actually had to remind our waiter that we were still waiting for it, which didn't help the experience. The egg white omelette was probably the biggest blunder. We asked for fried egg whites, but were told that wasn't possible, so we opted for an omelette instead. What they brought us was essentially fried egg whites with veggies folded inside ...... While it seems like others have had more positive experiences, based on the food we tried and the slow service, we definitely won't be returning. What's most disappointing is that we were really excited to try this place and support local business but there is no way we are going back. Everything except the donuts was bad. There were gnats everywhere, kept landing in our food. My daughter went to the bathroom and said she tried to wash her hands but a whole swarm of gnats flew up at her. Service was bad. The space is quite small, and we had to wait to be seated, after waiting we finally took the initiative to choose a table ourselves. The cleanliness left much to be desired, with several tables needing attention and trash on the floor, including in the restroom, which only had one available. We had 1pm reservations and the sky looked like it was going to pour down ran any moment. Our hostess was very kind and let us pick the table we wished to sit in order to get a good view of the bar and windows to keep an eye on the weather and the arrival of our family members. Our server, Dane, was in top form and gave us suggestions for a starter. We were torn between the Jalapeno-gouda biscuits, Candied Bacon and other tasty sounding dishes and quickly agreed the Goat Cheese Fondue. The dish arrived shortly after our whole party was seated. Dane had great presentation as he drizzled olive oil over the steamy, bubbling cheese dish that looked amazing, smelled wonderful, and tasted even better. Melted goat goat cheese with a blend of olives, roasted tomatoes, garlic confit and thyme that we generously spread over warm toast points. It was all devoured in no time. Dane returned to clear our plates and took our order. The brunch menu is an exploration in so many things to suit your breakfast or lunch craving. We ordered the Strawberry Short Stack, the Hangover Burger, Brunch Sandwich, and the Steak and Egg Hash. Out of curiosity we also ordered a side of the Green Chile Cheese Grits. My wife and I love to share so the Strawberry Short Stack and Brunch Sandwich were perfect for dividing. Those pancakes are picture perfect, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. Interestingly, Dane had asked if we wanted the toppings of strawberry compote, vanilla anglaise, whipped strawberry butter, and lemon shortbread crumble on the side so we could control the sweetness. For us that was the perfect suggestion as we were able to individually taste each accoutrement to build our perfect bite. The Brunch Sandwich was fantastic. Sometimes a breakfast sandwich can appear to be unwieldy but in this case it was manageable to cut in half and handle appropriately, The everything bagel was the right vehicle for this savory bite of fried-medium egg, layered with applewood smoked bacon, pickled Fresno peppers (for nice pop of spice), greens, american cheese, and a garlic-basil aioli. I didn't taste the Hangover Burger nor the Steak and Egg Hash, perhaps because I was a bit gorged on the pancakes and sandwich but the dishes looked amazing and I have a mental shortlist for the next time we dine at WC. Oh, and I did mention that we were curious about the Green Chile Cheese Grits. Out of this world! Those grits stole the show. We all kept commenting on them. Get them. You will be rewarded. When we dine we always expect good food. For us, service is the reason to come back. Dane was an outstanding server. He had personality and hospitality which is rare these days. He was conversationally engaging. He never lingered too long, always seemed to anticipate what we might need, politely asking to clear plates. Hat's off to Dane.
