The toasts and juices here are amazing. For the juice in a glass bottle, i did the one with Mango, Pineapple and Spinach. For the toast, i'm glad i went for the Smoked Salmon on GF bread... it was beyond AMAZING!

We were walking around Oldtown looking for a quick bite and a coffee and saw Toastique, it was just what we were looking for. I love a restaurant that specializes and doesn't try to do too much. Toastique has a regular and seasonal selection of toasts, smoothies and bowls and coffees...perfect amount of options without overwhelming diners or venturing into too many categories. Counter service with self serve regular coffee or you can order a speciality coffee. We ordered the burrata toast with crab and a smoked salmon toast. Each toast is served on either sourdough, multigrain or rustic bread or you can choose. Beautifully presented on a board with their "gold" service set, although it was almost too pretty to eat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love a casual place that offers a quick meal with an elevated experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Happy we stumbled upon it and will return!

I discovered this and loved it as a quick little spot to grab something healthy after a workout class. I love that they gave me a samples of the fresh juices because I couldn't decide which one I wanted. The staff has always been really nice and patient at the store and all of the ingredients are incredibly fresh. Took a little longer to get our order than expected but not a crazy long wait and honestly worth the wait. Wife and I got the same thing. 3 cheese Italian toast with an added egg. Very substantial slice of avocado toast loaded with flavor. Maybe the only thing I found issue with was the prosciutto was extremely salty.... Seemed more salty than I've had in the past but if eaten together with the rest of the toast (as intended) was a very good balance. Why the 4 stars? The young lady that took our order said I wasn't allowed to leave a tip with my credit card because they aren't allowed to keep tips and didn't have a tip jar either. Only tips handed to them were they allowed to keep. Not sure if that's a company policy but if so needs to change. Otherwise a great alternative to a big sit down breakfast. Oh and their smoothies are pretty darn good as well.

I had about 20 minutes to spare before a meeting nearby, so I decided to pop into Toastique for a quick bite. I went with the avocado smash toast topped with a poached egg -- and wow, when it came out, it looked like a work of art (almost too pretty to eat). That first bite had amazing flavor and had the perfect texture all around. Honestly, one of the best avocado toasts I've had so far. The staff, incredibly warm and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

The food took about 10 minutes to be ready. The service was good and the employees were helpful. Superfruit Smoothie: 10/10. It pretty much tasted like an açaí bowl. The main ingredients in the smoothie or açai and strawberry. I did appreciate that the smoothie was not too sweet and didn't seem to have much added sugars. Avocado Smash Toast: 9.5/10. I got the avocado smash toast with a hard boiled egg on top. The egg was sliced and placed on top of the other items. The toast was great. However, because the egg was sliced on top the toppings were sliding everywhere as I was trying to eat the toast. It made for a messy eating experience. However, that didn't take away from the flavor!

So I did not believe that a piece of toast would fill me . I stay humbled and wrong. I got the peach , prosciutto toast. This had burrata, flake salt, arugula, hot honey and balsamic glaze. This was packed with flavor and the peach smoothie I had with it on this hot day was saving my life while making me feel healthy for the doughnuts I will be devouring later lol . This was just as beautiful as the venue with very prompt and polite service.

I'm starting a Mediterranean diet which holds avocado heavily as a food to eat in most meals. So I was looking for a local place that served avocado toast. I love the concept and tried the smash toast with egg (hard boiled). Pretty tasty but a bit overpriced. I placed my order over the phone and was serviced really quickly. They are all blended with fruits and veggies. I've tried almost all of them and the metabolize is my favorite. Another items that's enchanting, and after several weeks later I'm still think about it, is that avocado toast. Basic, I know. I mentioned that but LOOK! It is as delicious as it is gorgeous. If you are looking for breakfast and have a few minutes to stop and experience something special for breakfast pop into Toastique. A great menu, clean, ample plugs for devices and great service. I went with the Smoked salmon toast and it didn't disappoint. Generous portion of toast and salmon complimented by the cream cheese spread, arugula, cucumber slices, pickled onions and capers. read more

My family is from out of town, but stopped in based on Yelp reviews and were not disappointed. I had the salmon toast with poached egg and a pressed juice. My kids had pb+b bowl, Baratta toast with prosciutto added and a coffee. My wife had a coffee smoothie. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The favorite was the Barratta toast and the pb+b bowl. Street parking and Seating is limited. The only negative is the cost. For the aforementioned, our bill was just in $100 including tip. read more

I CANNOT recommend more highly!!! I can't rave enough about Toastique. Perfectly fresh, delicious, healthy and interesting menu. I always get avocado smash with smoked salmon. It's plenty for a meal. The bread is fresh with lots of grain and texture. The avocado is perfectly ripe and flavorful. The cherry tomatoes have an unbelievable seasoning that I wish I could figure out - it's tart and savory. There are these absolutely beautiful, very thin slices of I think some sort of mild radish. The salmon is a decent portion for $4.00 and is adds protein and is a perfect compliment. And the staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. I only wish there were more Toastique's around. Don't wait - go as soon as possible! Only suggestion is to try to use recyclable materials for take-out containers. read more

Toastique- You are a delicious addition to Old Town! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a bright, beautiful, and crisp interior with a gorgeous map on the wall of DC, which points out it's original location in The Wharf, DC. There's a beautifully hand-written menu describing all the choices of toast, juice, etc.that you have to decide from (yes, it's a VERY hard decision). We ordered the 3 Cheese Italian toast, and boy did it deliver! The jalapeno cheddar toast was the star of the show in my opinion, I could eat that bread all day long! The toast was loaded with prosciutto, which was scrumptious in itself. I would absolutely recommend the 3 Cheese Italian toast. The service was friendly and bright. The ingredients are fresh, crisp, and such high-quality. Thanks, Toastique, for moving into the neighborhood and giving our tummies such big smiles! read more

At first I really liked this place and was happy to have a decent food spot I could sit in during my lunch break, my only complaint being that their drinking water was lukewarm. Then one day I get salmon toast that has a hair in it, clearly not my own hair. I show the man who made the toast and he simply takes the hair in his fingers and throws it in the trash. He does not apologize or acknowledge me as he goes back to making another toast with same gloves. I'm really put off by this and hesitant to ever go back, but I do go back. A week later I stop in with my husband and we order two juices that are 14 dollars total. Their rewards system is a punch card for 8 plus dollar purchases, buy 10? get one free. The same employee that didn't apologize for the hair in food refuses to give me one stamp because we bought two items for 14 not one item that was over 8?! Isn't the point just that you spend more than 8? So weird. read more

Decided to try this place for breakfast today and I already can't wait to come back again. At first I thought, 12-14 dollars was a bit steep for a piece of toast, but these things come loaded! Well worth it in my opinion. They do not skimp on the food stuff, there was tons of salmon and prosciutto on these things. My hubby and I got the salmon toast and Italian cheese one. Both were delicious but very different. My only criticism would be there may have been a bit too much onion jam on the Italian one, which made it a tad too sweet. I just scraped some off though, so no biggie! Also, their cold brew was delicious and so smooth! They have a host of other items like smoothies and bowls. Awesome concept, great execution! read more

This is a great place for a snack or a good and healthy breakfast/lunch. We stopped by and got the magi tango bowl, pb+b açaí bowl, a cold pressed juice, and a peanut butter cup. Everything was fresh and delicious. The place was clean and had a cute theme to it. We got our food within 5 minutes of ordering as well. I ordered the avocado toast and it was very bland. The presentation was beautiful, but they need to work on the taste. Once I seasoned it with my everything but bagel seasoning, it tasted much better. It's pricey as well, but it's a nice place with a good atmosphere. I also tried the berry oatmeal with a green smoothie. The taste didn't win me over for those either. Probably won't come back, because I didn't think it was worth it. Cute place though. read more

I'm obsessed with their coffee drink / Iced Brew! I'm usually a chai tea drinker (sometimes dirty chai). This is refreshing, smooth, and gives you a kick. Add a bit of almond butter for a creamy treat! Gluten free avocado toast is the bomb, too! The watermelon radishes are not only colorful but tasty ... and add a bit of a crunch. read more

I started seeing pictures of these toasts all over Instagram and I knew I had to go! I ordered the Tomato Burrata Toast and it tasted just as good as it looked, extremely fresh and delicious!The shop is pretty small and there were no indoor seats available when I visited but luckily it was nice out and I was able to grab one of the few small bistro tables they have out front. Will definitely be back to try more off their menu! read more

The staff and service are amazing, and they're always busy. The menu is extensive and there's definitely something for everyone! The Avocado Smash Toast will keep you satisfied all day, and it is just so fresh and delicious! Those marinated tomatoes make this toast sing!! Definitely try that one! And if you're in the mood for a bowl, the Mango Tango is ahmaaaazzzingah!! read more

Came for an avocado toast, stayed for the Pesto Turkey toast of the week and left with a Blue Majik. It SMELLS healthy and oh so good for you. They use only fresh produce and ingredients, the toast I got was nearly a mile high (exaggeration) and sooooo good. Super fast WiFi for those who need it, thoughtfully crafted combinations. The coconut on my toast tasted like bacon, how they pulled this magic off I'll never know. Only recommendation/tip is maybe toast the bread a little more. With so many delicious toppings and flavors the softness of the bread in the middle made it hard to keep all the goodies afloat. SO GOOD! I'll be back the next time I'm in the DMV area. Got the PB+B bowl. It was good, a lot açaí purée, but the toppings were great. Service was ok, cashier just kinda gave monotone answers and seemed frustrated when I was paying. Pretty crowded for a Saturday morning, got my order in about 10 min. Nice location though. read more

Wow! Stopped in earlier this week and was incredibly impressed with how delicious the Tuscan Tuna toast was! Between all the fresh ingredients and delicious balsamic drizzle, it's seriously one of the best things I've eaten in a while. I also enjoyed the cold nitro brew coffee. If you love paying $50 for two pieces of toast and an orange juice, then you've found your new place. Just don't have the audacity to send back an undercooked egg. The food tasted ok, and it was very fresh. I just didn't really enjoy my experience here. read more

Delicious! Love the location! Fast and friendly service! The smoked salmon was perfect and savory my friend had the Açaí bowl and loved it! Clean and fresh atmosphere! I love the straws, although I forgot to ask what they were made of. Parking was a breeze around the time I went. Toastique just opened last week and I've already been 3 times. They have a great selection of smoothies, açaí bowls, salads and toasts. They also have nitro cold brew! I've tried the burrata, the PB crunch and the smoked salmon toasts and been really happy with all of them! They are more filling than they look but you'll never walk out of there feeling weighed down by lunch. Really excited about this addition to the neighborhood! read more

*rating is for the bowls* I ordered the classic açaí bowl. It was fantastic. I am not a "fancy toast/fancy bowl" type of person. But, it was really fresh, tasty and presented well. The restaurant was bright and welcoming. The staffed seemed pleasant and the grab and they had a nice variety of grab and go options. I'm excited to try the other bowls. read more

Interestingly, they also have a wheelchair lift for people with disabilities to get to that level and also the entrance door to the hotel. That being said, it seems like this cafe services a lot of people who stay at the hotel. The cake was delicious and Freddo Cappuccino was even better. We spent the next 20 minutes slowly picking at our salad, growing increasingly hungry and confused. You know something is wrong when guests who were seated after you begin receiving their meals before you. Finally, at 2:10 p.m., our food arrived: my Ahi Tuna Salad and a Pulled Lamb Sandwich for my wife. Except my wife had ordered the Shrimp Burger. When we pointed out the mistake to what was now our third server, she quickly assured us it would be corrected. A few minutes later, our original server returned and took full responsibility. She explained that the lamb and shrimp items are next to each other in the POS system and she accidentally selected the wrong item. She assured us the Shrimp Burger would be out in two minutes and suggested we enjoy the fries that came with the lamb sandwich while we waited. Unfortunately, another ten minutes passed before the burger finally arrived. Here's where things became truly disappointing: the top bun was still cold--almost frozen. My wife ended up removing it entirely and eating the sandwich with just the bottom bun. At best, the Shrimp Burger was decent, but certainly not worth the wait and frustration. As for my Ahi Tuna Salad, it felt like something I could easily make at home, especially considering the $25 price tag. I'm also not entirely convinced the tuna was particularly fresh. I can't bring myself to give Matt and Tony's one star because the atmosphere is genuinely cool and inviting. So I settled on two stars--mostly for how I felt before the experience unraveled. And listen, I get it. Mistakes happen. We're all human. But as someone who eats out frequently, here's one piece of advice: when a restaurant makes a significant mistake with a customer's order, consider taking that item off the bill. Sometimes that gesture is the only reason a guest decides to come back.

I would return here, both to work and to try their beignets. It was tough to stick to my diet while everyone around me was enjoying some!

It comes with five crispy crepes that are folded like thin cookie cups, filled with a light cream. * mango sticky rice - tastes exactly as expected, sweet coconut cream sticky rice topped with ripe mangoes. * affogato Lots of pretty picturesque walls and decor for photo ops. The plate settings are pretty and dessert presentations, even down to the menu screams "take a photo"! So don't mind me that I took plenty! Even the bathroom is cool with their Dyson faucet and dryer.

Whiting Street. It's an office building, so it follows those hours Monday-Saturday. I had just come from Labcorp and had been fasting -needed to eat and ordered a no-frills egg and cheese sandwich cooked panini style. It was good. What caught my eye, though, were the lentil sambusas. They looked super fresh and I asked who made them -Saeeda said she makes them and also the delectable looking chocolate sweets displayed on the counter. The sweets looked professional and polished -Saeeda gave a free sample to some customers behind me and they bought more and were raving about it. Being diabetic I had to pass, but they looked mouthwatering. Those same customers said they always stop in when they are near S. Whiting Street just to get the lentil sambusas. I bought 4 and tried one still warm when I got home. Let me tell you, I know a lot about samosas / sambusas -these were amazing and reasonably priced. They were lightly fried but very crisp and flaky (maybe phyllo dough) and not greasy. The lentils were so well seasoned but not overly so, nor were they salty or spicy -just the right balance of various spices and the cumin came through but not overwhelming. The lentils were not at all mushy and very well cooked -just right. You really need to go there just to get these wonderful homemade sambusas to go -and there's plenty of free parking and a few tables and chairs in the lobby if you want eat there. Like seriously... so flavorful and yummy. If you try, you'll come back. The menu, like the shop, is small -bagel/cream cheese, a few sandwiches, chips, smoothies, various cold drinks, apples, bannanas, packaged snacks/sweets, and the wonderful sambusas and sweets made by Saeeda herself. I'd like to point out that she seemed to be a master of coffee (there's tea also), including Turkish and Arabic coffee. Everyone was getting specialty hot or iced coffee plus something else. I heard one of the customers mention Yemini coffee, too. I only met Saeeda today and it was my first time patronizing her little place. I don't normally write long reviews anywhere for anyone unless they are great. Even as I write, I am very sick and in tremendous pain today... but my little stop at the Coffee Room this afternoon was so pleasant. I really like this woman enrepreneur -such a sweet person and making the most of her tiny business. I truly wish her well and just had to let others know about her homemade savory and sweet treats.
