I attended the grand re-opening today. OMG! I wasn't prepared for such an extravagant experience. From the walk in the door until the food landed on my table it was exceptional service. Toastique is located conveniently on the outskirts of uptown. I enjoyed their seasonal fig and prosciutto toast. The food came out rather slowly, so be prepared to lounge. The employees were nice and welcoming. I wish the booths had some kind of cushion. It was a very cute brunch place. We had a mix up where one of the juices was forgotten and then the wrong juice was given. Hopefully this will not happen again. I will be back for brunch in the future! read more

Lovely my morning coffee run with my little family. The staff were so friendly on arrival, they also had great suggestions / recommendations on what to get. They were very attentive and brought out coffees to us while we were settling our son. We did not get any grown up toast on this trip but we did get our little one the PB&J kids toast. It came on sourdough and was served with bananas and strawberries. My son enjoyed the jam on the toast, he's 3 so this is a big feat! The coffee was great. They have indoor seating as well as the availability to go outside in the ground of their location. Wonderful spot for brunch or quick stop in for juice or coffee. My son also loved their Cure juice! It's finally time for me to write a review after coming here many times. I ultimately settled for a three star, here's why. I was actually really excited when this came to Charlotte, so much so, I went to the grand opening. The grand opening went swimmingly. I started to frequently patronize after. There have been a few instances that have caused me to decrease me weekly visits. #1: I brought a friend to try this location since they've never had Toastique before. It took, soo long, that we left, DINED at SixtyVines (love that place) and came back to just grab the toast order later. It was about a 25-45 min wait because who knows when it was actually ready. I didn't appreciate how the co-owner, Chris I believe his name is, engaged with me in regard the to situation when we did finally come back for the order. It wasn't rude or brash, but definitely more components of continuing to waste my time even more which I do not stand for. It was very apparent to me things were not running behind the counter as they should. #2: I ordered an acai bowl, and it was not good, at all. I didn't even finish it, I had 2-4 bites and threw it away after waiting an considerable long time for an acai bowl order. #3: The pumpkin spice chai latte tasted beyond artificial. I'm not expecting the employees to mortar and pestle actual pumpkin, but whatever brand syrup they use is very cheap, to my taste buds. I also threw that out. Overall, I highly enjoy the morning crew which consists of Keairrah and a few other ladies. Their smoothies are great and the toast is very delightful. The number 1 downfall for me is the waiting time. I'm patient when it comes to waiting for orders, I've even worked at a wellness/smoothie bar before so I know how this works on the front and back end. There is a difference between waiting an appropriate time and it becoming absurd. I'm hoping whenever I do decide to start visiting again, my experiences are more closely linear and not severely up and down. read more

The ambiance and service gets a 10/10 in my book. Based of the ambience alone, my expectations of the toast were set way higher than what I received. I ordered the spicy crab add avocado which ended up being just a few cents below $20. The avocado used on my toast was as oxidized (brown) as the toast itself. It seems as if it's not made fresh in house and if so it could be better. From experience it tastes like the prepackaged guacamole from Cisco. It was a $2.50 up charge and it pretty much ruined the whole meal. After each bite all you could taste was old guac and for $20 I was highly disappointed. Not to mention the toast had all of two slices of jalapeños and a pinch of micro greens. On a positive note it's roughly 4oz of crab meat and the Sriracha aïoli made it edible. If I had the time to go back and get it remade I would have. I wasn't too pleased with my first experience and neither were the few of my coworkers I shared it with. It was the 1st. time for us at Toastique, so we needed a few minutes to look over the menu even though I had looked at it previous, I still felt the need to glance over it and not be rushed into making decisions about my selection. I mentioned we were 1st timers. Only 2 out of employers were friendly and 1 seem to not to acknowledge you at all while at the register just stood there waiting for My MONEY!! Ok I can read but, goodness a little banter or pleasantries wouldn't hurt you or maybe it would.
