For people that don't have acid reflux or food allergies, this review will probably not make any sense. People who do will understand how annoying and possibly life threatening this may be. My husband went to Togo's on Geer Rd. in Turlock to order sandwiches for our weekly Friday movie night. I have acid reflux and sulfur allergies so I gave him a detailed list of what I wanted on my sandwich. When the sandwiches were handed to him he asked if they, especially mine because of my food allergies, were made correctly. He was assured that they were. Unfortunately, being assured that my sandwich was made correctly, I bit into it without checking first. That was a serious mistake. It included jalapeños, onions, and pickles basically everything that I wanted left off. For a person with acid reflux, this ensures a very unpleasant evening. For a person with severe food allergies like a sulfur allergy (fortunately this was not included), this insures them a visit to the ER and possibly worse. Most people just don't comprehend the seriousness of this issue. Maybe they are too lazy to remake the sandwich or they simply don't care what happens to their customers! There are some other issues with this Togo's. Closing at 8 pm on a Friday night or the weekend is simply unacceptable. I am sure that there is a lot of business that is being missed out on. The other issue is stocking. Running out of roast beef literally every time we try to order it shows that this location lacks in planning and ordering skills. This location leaves a lot to be desired! read more

First things first, their staff was friendly and promptly greeted me as I came through the door. That's always a positive in my book, kudos! Second thing is, this has got to be the worst sandwich I've ever had from a Togos location, anywhere. I always ask for a hot roast beef, and the meat has ALWAYS gone into the au jus while they prepare the rest of the sandwich, then they add the meat, wrap it, and cut it. Not tonight, she added the meat to the dry bread and threw it in that little convection oven thing. Um, what? When the timer went off, all of the edges of the meat were so dark and it was tough like jerky. Thank goodness I ordered a cup of au jus because I needed it to soften the bread which was now hard and stale tasting and to rehydrate my roast beef. I understand change, but there are some things that you do not change. Those are the things that bring people BACK to your establishment. I won't return to this location for a long while, if at all. And last but not least, the prices of the sandwiches are insane! The price of a large pastrami was $18.25, talk about sticker shock and "Corporate pricing"! Do better. Ordered a large turkey sandwich.Went to pick it up and the young girl had it to go when I said to eat it here.Opened the sandwich and all the turkey was on one half with nothing on the other.Kind of messy to rearrange a sandwich with guac.Seems these young people could care less about customer service.Don't think I will be eating there for quite a while if ever.Whew! read more

This is the first togos I ever ate at. Back sometime in the 80s. They used to have big screens and photos of all the high school teams. Always has been my favorite place for a sandwich. Never had bad service or bad sandwich. The inside is a little corporate institutionalized now. But that's every place now. read more

Togos is usually a treat for us... we love taking them to baseball games, trips as well as just for lunch. At the Giants games, people would ask where we got our sandwiches and were jealous of how the meat was overflowing! Now it's been a while since we have been there but today was a sad day.... I walked in and it was empty in there... the staff was courteous and helpful so I was feeling pretty good about ordering my usual #9 Hot Pastrami. I got 2 meal deals and with the tip for two sandwiches and a drink it came out to about $29... It didn't even phase me because I couldn't wait to have that yummy sandwich! When I got home and pulled my sandwich out it looked big! It was calling my name and then I opened the wrapping... where is the meats? Was it because I got the special? TASTY OR WASTEY? Totally Wastey!!!!! I've been coming to this place for years. Through out my visits, I have taken breaks for months at a time. Yesterday, I decided to go in to pick up my Turkey, avocado sandwich. I should have never walked in.... First of all, the guy who took my phone order, was rude! Talking way to fast. No phone etiquette. When I walked in, the place was filthy. Maybe they should close down for a weekend and do a deep cleaning. So, I , bring my sandwich home.... I open it up and there it is, rotten brown avocado! I tried to salvage a little of the avocado, but, it was awful. Please Togo owner, if the produce is ROTTEN, teach your employees to throw it out. Or, better yet, send them across the street to SaveMart for fresh avocado. I would not recommend this place. The sad thing is, is there are many people like me that don't have time to drive back, so it goes in the trash, and, they lose customers, which means, they lose money. read more

I love TOGO'S as a company. The sandwiches are always good. For this location is good as well but only if it's face to face interaction when you order. Over the phone not so much. When you ask them to toasted it never gets done. I've ordered over the phone twice to this location each time I asked to get toasted and never gets toasted and they even repeat the toasted instructions back to me. I suggest if you want your sandwich done right go in person. read more

I used to come here as a kid, im assuming it was either under different ownership Or management however i hadnt came for a very long time because they changed owners or something because the bread was dry all the time with no flavor, i remember before the bread was soft and tasted good, i just went in today after not going in for a really long time, and jesus christ it was horrible i dont know how they stay open... my tomato was pink and cut thick and meat was all un proportioned. I just left Togo's on Geer Rd in Turlock. The store looks great after the remodel, but the sandwich was very expensive and disappointing. Very little meat and produce. Over the last two years I try getting a pastrami sandwich once in a while. I've tried approximately six or seven times to get that sandwich from togos. Not once did this Togos outlet get my order correct...nor did they have it ready as promised. Sometimes I've called and other times ordered online. Not once. They either leave off the extra meat ordered and PAID for, or add items on sandwich not desired. Never once was the sandwich pre-ordered ready...even allowing 30 minutes lead time. Good food, poor attitudes. I called in my order half an hour before closing. Drove in and arrived with plenty of time to spare before closing. The teenagers working had already closed up the store and were turning people away. I saw my food was prepared and I had to convince the staff to let me pick up my order. I have adored Togos for twenty years but something has changed at the Togos on Geer Rd in Turlock. The people are still clean and professional but there are changes, the amount of meat on each sandwich has dropped. The price has substantially increased, about 2.00 more per sandwich. I just called in an order to Togos. I ordered a total of 3 sandwiches for 3 different people. I have not been to Togos for many years and it was pretty good when I went there years ago. My order was the NEW CHEESE STEAK MELT. I must say it was not good at all. The steak was more like watered down roast and too much salt. The sandwich was very disappointing. The other order was the Italian sandwich and it was passable. The third order was a Turkey and avocado with NO ONIONS. I made this clear when I called it in and then when I got there I had the girl re check it and she said there was no onions. I guess I should have stood over her shoulder but unfortunately I took her word for it as she rechecked it by re opening and checking. When I arrived home I gave the orders to my grandchildren. The one order that the Togo's employee SAID she checked was filled with LOTS of slices of red onion??? My granddaughter pulled them out and ate the sandwich anyway as she did not want to make a fuss. I said, ok I will complain on your behalf because this is unacceptable. This happened just an hour ago. I live several miles away and did not want to go back out in the heat to take this sandwich back. So we just lived with it. This is not right. I mean seriously when the young lady rechecked, what was she looking at? There was so many red onions it was crazy for her to say she did not put onions in there at all. The sandwich was just a few bites eaten and thrown in the trash as the smell of onion was so strong even with pulling them out. From here on, I will never go to Togos again. The Togos I visited here in the past was so much better and a good experience. Wow what a change now! Customer service has reached a new low. The sandwiches are also so over priced for what you get. It is so sad because everything is getting more expensive while quality is going down, down down. I ordered from here and I got a wrap they did not even wrap it they rolled it up so everything was coming out the other end. I had also ordered and paid for bacon on my wrap I did not get it. I could only give 1 star, as it seems since the pandemic, they raise their prices as an excuse to serve you lousy quality food. It seems everywhere now, raise our price and serve crap quality food. I went in and ordered a family sub #26, added 2 sides dry salami at $2 each. Turkey,Ham, Provolone on 24" bread. When I opened the sandwich, we could barely see any of the meats, like a meatless sandwich. All we could taste was the vegetable sandwich for $31.50. I love this sandwich shop. Pros: Sandwich made to order. You can actually watch the people make your sandwich. Sandwiches are huge. One and you are done eating for the day. They slice meats daily (I am told and it tastes fresh too). Joey made my food. He was super busy but very helpful and pleasant. He offered suggestions based on what I said I liked. Sandwich was put together nicely and salad was well prepared. Place is clean including bathroom. Cons: Prices have gone up, but I suppose they have everywhere. We use to go inside and stand in line to order our food, but the employees are so rude, and act as if you're bothering them! If you're getting paid for a job, then do your job. I only came here because the other sandwich place I like was closed. I came around 7:30 and the food preparing area floor was not very clean--I even had second thoughts about ordering food. The person attending me was slow but very nice (which is why I'm giving it 3 stars and not 2). I didn't like that I couldn't see how they were preparing the sandwich since the counter blocks the view. I'm seeing a trend in my recent reviews...all five stars. Well here's a 2 star review. I heart Togo's...I mean, I really do. I ALWAYS get the same thing, #24, turkey, avocado on honey wheat. And, at the two Modesto locations I frequent, I have never been dissatisfied. The same cannot be said for this location in Turlock. Hubby and I on a separate day coming home from the fair went here for lunch. First off, the employees working this day were all extremely UN-FRIENDLY. No greeting when we walked in, no I'll be right with you (and beleive me, they were NOT right with us!), no anything. So after standing there for about 6 minutes, a girl finally says she can help us. She was so bland and monotone I felt like she was about to fall asleep while making my sandwich! Once I get my sandwich, I'm not sure what it was but It tasted different. The avocado didn't seem fresh, I asked for everything but pickle and peppers and they didn't put on tomatoes, mustard, or onions but completely stuffed it with too much lettuce.
