The Hibachi chicken is not cooked hibachi. It is thawed chopped chicken with soy sauce slathered. The fried rice is white rice with nothing except soy sauce. I paid $50 for delivery of this food and had to throw it all away! read more

If you've ever been to Benihana's, this place is similar in their menu offerings. However, they don't cook it at your table. It's more like a conventional restaurant where they bring it out to you. This place is a hidden gem! We started off with the tuna tataki which was delicious, the tataki sauce was super flavorful and the tuna was melt in your mouth good! The service was very good, our server was very attentive to us, filling our waters, refilling our sake etc. I got the chicken hibachi dinner which was more than enough food, in fact I have some for lunch tomorrow. My favorite is the Jeromy roll. The Hibachi meals are great too! They don't seat you in front of a grill, you are at a regular table which is fine with me. I mean how many times do you need to watch that whole show anyways? We get the filet and scallops, which I highly recommend. It can be busy there so we usually order online and then go pick it up. This place is amazing! They just opened Wednesday. I drove by Thursday and saw that they were open, and went Friday evening. I obviously wasn't the only one that had the same idea because there was a long line to get in. I wondered if it was worth the wait, so I started to ask people leaving if it was good. They all said it was, and they had happy facial expressions. We had left the house much later than planned and were starved, so we ordered appetizers. Shrimp tempura was amazing, wouldn't change a thing. We also had an octopus thing that started with a T, it was quite good. The gyoza was good, but then most places can do that. The rolls are amazing! I had the Crunchy Shrimp Roll. It was the best roll I have ever had! Seriously. The spicy mayo on the octopus thing was really good, so I asked for a tiny bit of that. It put the roll right over the top. Daughter had the Dragon-something roll. She ate all but the end pieces which is twice as much as she usually eats. The rolls seemed nicely large. Husband had the Steak/shrimp combo plate and liked it. Then he had the eel roll, which he said was quite good. As we left we discussed how reasonable the prices were. They're expensive in comparison to the quality offered so it's better to just leave town for a day/night out and get sushi while in McKinney/Frisco/Plano/Dallas. I would leave 0 stars if I could. This is absolutely not worth the money. The portions are incredibly small, especially considering there is no salad or soup. The fried rice we paid extra for is bland and there aren't any vegetables and very little egg. The shrimp was flavorless and overcooked. The fried rice is served with tiny salad shrimp. The hibachi is served with larger shrimp that are so overcooked that they are hard rubber balls that are hard to swallow. We spend $60 plus dollars and ended up putting a frozen shrimp in the oven instead. As I said, I would give 0 stars if I could. read more

The white rice itself is pretty "meh" since main course came with two sauce options I didn't mind as much. The peanut sauce was very delicious ! Dipped my meat, veggies and rice in it ! The sauce next to it was also very good but I'm not sure what it is ? I also got some soup as a side. ( You can also replace it for a salad) I'm usually used to a miso soup but this place has a "light mushroom soup" instead. My boyfriend said there was "too much mushroom" but to me there seemed to be just enough. I don't mind the "lightness" but i can easily see someone calling this "watery" if they're expecting something more "flavorful" For two appetizers, two main dishes & a sweet tea (I got water) it was about $42 - $43 Which is pretty average when we both go out for a meal.
