The other sushi place changed their hours so we had to make a quick change to our plans. This place has some great reviews so we took our chances. First thing is they like you to have a reservation. Even if there is no one in there eating. Just take that as a helpful tip if you decided to visit. They did seat us but they were very pointed towards next time we needed to call ahead. The sushi was excellent. We had the pink lady and another i can't remember the name. We ordered a couple of their side salads and a clear soup as well. Those we could have done without with. It was good enough to make a reservation to visit if we were back in town but I'd also like to try a couple other spots as well. read more

I ordered two rolls -- the shrimp tempura roll and another roll. The shrimp tempura rolls was great, but the other roll was almost nothing but lettuce. The spring rolls are also very tiny for the price. I'd definitely come back here, but would get two shrimp tempura rolls since I know they make it well. read more

Some of fish were still frozen in my Chirashi. Not much variety. Decent fish was only salmon. And also I was very disappointed when I saw the white fish in the bowl, because it is known as cheap and unhealthy... Unfortunately it was the worst Chirashi I've ever eaten. My friend ordered a Tuna bowl and she also didn't like it. Although the restaurant had good reviews, our experience was sad. Perhaps we should have tried something cooked. read more

OMG - dropped in here while doing a quick shop. Ahmazing. Immediate service. Large menu. I ordered the Tuna Poke bowl - a little apprehensive because it had tomatoes in it, which isn't typical. Turned out to be one of the best poke bowls I have ever had. Highly recommend, especially for folks visiting Orlando. They were busy on a Tuesday mid afternoon with customers and delivery orders, so locals clearly get that this is a gem. read more

If you for once in your life want to try real Japanese sushi GO to this place . This place serves no gimmicky rolls with BS sauces all over it . Plain and "simple" sushi . brought my husband here for his birthday (sushi is his favorite food) and it was AMAZING!!!! he says its the best sushi hes ever had. he loves sushi however i have a seafood allergy but they have SO many options like chicken sushi, veggie sushi, hibachi, etc. so he is able to enjoy sushi while i can as well. this has become a regular spot for us and its amazing every single time! we have even brought family here and they love it as well. The food and price alone would've made this a 5 star review. Unfortunately the service was bad. The other tables received more attention than we did. At the end of our meal, the waitress finally asked us if we needed refills or anything else. There was also a gnat in our wasabi and at that point we were halfway through our food when we realized. They did not give us a discount on the bill after letting them know but we also didn't want to fuss after sitting there for an hour already. I understand that they may have been short staffed but the service was highly disappointing. read more

Between a 3 and 4. The fried rice was delicious, not overpriced or under cooked, perfect flavor, the right amount of ingredients. The rolls were also good. The size of the harumaki is very underwhelming (maybe 3in probably less). On the other hand, the location lacks cleanliness. Really hope it was because it was a rainy busy day... or maybe this is just the location because it outside of the outlets. Not sure but that part is beyond disappointing. Stayed because we were starving after a long day at the stores and they greeted us almost immediately. read more

Great food and service. Given I'm pregnant, I only ordered the dragon roll and crunchy roll, but both were great, especially after a hot day out at the parks where I needed healthy but salty. The yaki udon and hibachi were tasty and well seasoned, too. Ambience is that of a local take-out place but the food speaks for itself. Glad we made the stop. read more

This is a hidden gem. I wanted sushi and read the reviews and decided to try it. It did not disappoint us. I had the sushi and sashimi combo and my husband had the spicy spider roll. He usually doesn't go for spicy but this was actually pretty mild but delicious. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. The portion was great for the price. I was a little nervous that it was all the chef's choice but I loved it all. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Orlando. read more

To begin, ITS DEAD SILENT. If you're thinking of taking someone on the most awkward dead silent date of life - THIS IS YOUR SPOT. I got here at 5:40 with my friend and to legit eat a roll and rice, we left at 7:50 because we spent 30 minutes trying to get out check to leave. People were waiting to be seated at the edge of our table. Another group walked out because between being seated and trying to even get a glass of water they waited over 45 min. This was on a Sunday ON SPRING BREAK WEEKEND....and most places should expect a lot of people. Why would they place 1 sushi chef, 1 kitchen chef and 1 girl who was the hostess and server and busser??? Like okay. Dont recommend. And the sushi was below average. The rice was like a pale color and the chicken looks like cabbage. We found two (what we hope) are eyelashes in our food. Disgusting. Never again. read more

What a fantastic find. Sushi grade was perfection. Sushi was fresh and all rolls were well made. We was blown away. We ordered 5 rolls, finished them all and ordered 3 more. I have been going to Tokyo Sushi for years. They never disappoint. They are very accommodating to my avocado allergy. they may be a small sushi location in a strip mall but, produce everything from basic sushi all the way to elaborate combinations. They are reasonably priced and if you're looking for a great deal for lunch specials. A lot of places in Orlando offer sushi at a higher rate without the lesser quality but, this place is really good and not gimmicky. A place to try if you're near the theme park areas and looking for sushi. read more

Upon entry, there was no one to greet us. We headed to the register where they had a bunch of menus and pictures. While we were looking, the lady came out from the back with food items for someone who was already seated. Everything looked good. There was a guy waiting for his order to go, another guy waiting to eat by himself, and another lady also waiting to eat by herself. There was some interview going on between two guys- sounded like it was about the restaurant as I heard them talking about kimchi fried rice. It sounded so good, I ordered that with shrimp. Mom had the bento box lunch. We asked for two cups for water, which she said she would bring to us. We sat for awhile, and saw the others and the to go person get their food. The water cups did not come until after she brought us our food. Maybe that's the way they do it? Anyhow- our food was out in a reasonable time and everything was delicious. I tried some of mom's beef bento box- she got the bulgogi beef and we were both a little shocked that it was ground beef and not thin slices, but the flavor was spot on. My mom did not finish her lunch and I had a small portion of rice left. When I asked for one to go box- the lady almost seemed upset that I didn't want two! She asked me what about my leftovers? To which I said my mom was taking everything in one box. lol. We don't like to waste and I wasn't going to toss mine but it seemed silly to get another box for the little bit of rice I had. So we put it all in one. We paid at the register and took our box. There are many more items on the menu I'd like to try. My mom was pretty impressed with the place. It's nothing to look at, really, but the food is good and she will probably bring her friends here for lunch.

Thrive is nothing new for us. My wife and I love this place with a passion. The food is phenomenal and the staff are amazing. We have probably tried just about every item on their menu and there is no bad choice you can make. If you're in Orlando and want a great dining experience this is the place. This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.
