I normally don't ever write reviews but this interaction stuck with me. Walked into the location not knowing that they closed at 9 pm and had no awareness of time. Team was closing up and getting ready to end the night and the owner Garrett asked if I was interested in a slice of pizza. Me realizing that they were closed, I told him not to worry about it and told him I would come next time. He insisted on giving me a free slice of pizza for the inconvenience and told him not to worry about it but he still gave me the complimentary free slice for not having anything that I was looking for. Bought my staff lunch today and their request was pizza. I looked in the area for different pizza places and this one had some good reviews. I ordered it online and picked it up since it wasn't that far from the office. When I got there I actually went in the wrong door. There two doors and I needed to go to the second. Anyways, pretty basic feel and slightly nostalgic. Employee at the counter was super sweet and greeted us with a smile. Pizzas were ready, and I was just excited to get them back to the office and try. I'm always a little skeptical when it comes to pizzas, because not all joints are as good as people rave about. I ordered The Grandma which is a Traditional margarita pizza. On the menu it states spots of mozzarella. Of course not shredded mozzarella, but actual slices of mozzarella. I wish they would've put one of the SPOTS of mozzarella out in the middle of the pizza; instead of making spots into a complete circle towards top of pizza (see picture I attached). It was like biting into a tomato before even reaching any type of cheese. Overall this pizza and the marinara sauce was pretty spot on. LOL! Next pizza was the Barbecue Chicken. I could only taste a hint of the barbecue sauce; so next time I will definitely ask for a little more sauce. This pizza was good though. My third pizza was the Deluxe. They are definitely generous compared to other pizza places (look at picture posted). The olives they use were not too salty, the mushrooms were fresh, and the meat was proportioned perfectly. Pizza was a little soggy at the point, but crispy towards the middle to top. This one was my favorite! The reason I gave a four-star was because there not being a spot of mozzarella in the middle of the Grandma pizza and the first bite tasting nothing but tomato. The barbecue pizza lacking barbecue sauce, and my favorite pizza needing a little more stability. Other than that this is a great pizza place. You can get slices, they have a parking lot, and the slices are tasty AF. What else do you need to know? COVID Precautions - Pre pandemic, you all know how the drill would work here. Families and friends were seated everywhere with no abandon. Now, outdoor dining is encouraged and they have updated their outdoor seating area, which looks quite modern and nice. There is a sign outside of their front door that provides the guest with instructions and general safety guidelines. Overall, a great system to keep guests safe. Ambiance - They have not changed one bit, and thats a good thing. Very casual set up and thats the way a pizza place should be. Food - Ohhhhhhh man. I have had so many of their original pizzas which are all awesome. My wife is obsessed with the Syracuse Pizza which is just loaded with godly goodness. She has every right to love it that much, its the real deal. I love their classic Tomato Pie style pizza. It is so simple, yet so darn delicious. I love in the SFV, and have no problem making the drive out here. We love it that much. Parking - Standard parking area with a shared local business. When busy, parking can be tight but you might get lucky with some street parking. This establishment is deserving of a 5 star review from yours truly. I love this place and it actually is the closest you can get to east coast pizza as an NJ/NY girl. I order a whole pie all the time, and I've gone in and gotten their slices and eaten them in the cute seating they have out back. It's a great time. Docked a star because ordered a whole pie of the eggplant and it wasn't cooked properly and inedible and neither them nor Uber eats did anything about it so it was just a waste of money at that point.
