First time at Tomato & Thyme...and sadly I think it will be our last. Walked in at around 1:15 and immediately got seated...then was forgotten about. Around 1:45 we got our order taken and was told they have no white toast...but when our food arrived lo and behold, there was white toast. I asked for my scramble to have no tomato or onions, and it was covered in onions. But the crowning glory was the long black hair we found in my mum's scramble that did not belong to her. Servers are more concerned about chit chatting with each other than helping their customers...which explains why we were the only people in the restaurant the last 30 minutes of our visit. read more

Very pleasant atmosphere. Seevice was adequate but not special. Beet salad was good but the added roasted chicken was dry. The stuffed chicken breast was not stuffed and looked unappealing with the stuffing piled on top. The mashed potatoes were only partially mashed. Several large chunks were found. The manager didn't feel my comments rose to the level of a managers visit to our table. We asked by the waiter if there was anything he could provide as recompense. We declined. Hard pressed to trust the kitchen when they don't stuff a stuffed chicken breast or mash, mashed potatoes. read more

We've been coming here for over 5 years and while prices have gone up (show me where they haven't) the food quality has never wavered. My favorite is the scallop and prawn risotto or the filet of sole. My husband usually orders a steak or something from the specials menu, and most recently ordered lamb chops, which he said were delicious. Service can be a little hit or miss. But often times I find that it's a little slower when we don't have our kids with us, so I'm ok with a slower paced dinner when it's just us. Overall it's good food with decent service. read more

We came around dinner time and the dining setting was overall giving date night, which was not how I pictured it to be from the photos while looking this place up prior to visiting but I mean that in a "looks nicer in person" way. The room is definitely darker than the photos with a single light shining above the table that lit the table just right to keep the table as the main focus. We ordered the classic caesar salad, chicken marsala, and the fried chicken sandwich. The classic caesar salad was great -- dressing, crouton, and cheese ratio was well balanced with the amount of lettuce plated. The chicken marsala's chicken texture was sort of suspiciously mushy but the sauce and mushrooms on the chicken were quite tasty. The plate also came with veggies and pasta -- the veggies were cooked well and the pasta was delicious (had a buttery flavor). Fried chicken sandwich had coleslaw and an orange sauce inside of it but I'm not sure if they use a chicken breast or what because it was unpleasantly dry. There was a pickle spear pinned to the top of the sandwich that was also dry but I still ate it. The fries that came with the sandwich were okay though. This place has a bar as well which looked to be all filled up, which is good for them, for the business. The cups of water that they had ready for us as we sat down tasted like a rusted sink. Their prices are too high for the quality of the food (of course this pertains to what we ordered) but given its location and the predictable crowd, I guess I get it. read more

Last night my family of 7 decided to go to Tomato Thyme for dinner. We had not dined there for awhile so off we went. We were not disappointed! The service was impeccable from being greeted, to the servers providing us drinks, bread and taking our order. Everything was timed perfectly. Our meals consisted of calamari to start then the family ordered the calazone, lasagna, warm rigatoni with spinach salad, cheese pizza and open faced crab sandwiches. All the entrees were delicious! Next time we won't wait so long to dine at this restaurant again. First time here and the food and service was good. It was pretty overpriced though. I did feel that they had so many on staff that I felt them just waiting for me to finish so they could take my plate as soon as I'm done or fill my water once it was no longer full. As a vegetarian, they didn't have too many protein options so I opted for the salad. It was good and I liked the cheese and dressing they used. I also liked the beets, oranges and seeds to top it off. I would just recommend adding a tofu dish or beyond meat to the menu. The other two dishes were "delicious" as said by my partners. Well- Been here many times since they open. took my BF there tonight cuz I enjoyed all my past experiences but tonight was v upsetting especially as prices arise we deserve decent food and service. When we sat down a Hispanic male employee was our first contact as he asked if we want anything to drink, we ordered a glass of wine and beer. Wine came about aft 10 minutes, no beer ! We saw Adam cleaning dishes and asked him about the beer , he checked into this immediately and Within 5 minutes later the bar tender brought the beer. She said the order was not out in .. Then the food came at least 30 minutes from the time we ordered. We finished our dinner and needed containers felt ignored many times.. we had to once again ask Adam to get us bill and bring us some containers..Where was the waiter? This is one of my go to local Italian American restaurants! The food is consistently good and service is too. I usually order some type of pasta dish every time I go, but they also have really good pizza! My only suggestions are that the food can be a tad bit overpriced and the bread that they bring to the table before meals is not great. Other than that, very enjoyable! read more

During my visit I ordered a egg Benedict with breakfast potato's and an order of avocado toast. Avocado toast: typically when I order this, it's served on a chilled plate. Plate was at room temp. The plating had avocado toast over welted arugula. I ordered the avocado toast with Smoked salmon which was curled on top to give the look of a pink rose. If it wasn't for the salmon, the avocado toast would have been bland. The eggs Benedict was not impressive at all. The hollondaise sauce lack flavor, runny, and the ham tasted like it came from the can. The egg was poached to perfection. The breakfast potatoes were literally 4 potatoes. What mad this dish disappointing was that it was served on a cold plate. Cold plates in hot meals are horrible. I would totally skipped this place. There are much smaller venues that are easy on the pocket and pack more flavor. I give this place two stars only because the ambiance was 3 stars. read more

Usually his brother grills something for dinner but he had plans and his son didn't have work. I suggested we take him out to dinner since we seldom do that. I've never been here and it has been on my bookmarks so I was excited to go. No reservations but we were seated right away but keep in mind that this place does get crowded. They both ordered an alcoholic drink.. Ronnie had 2 Tito's and tonic but it was fine since I was the one driving his car. His son ordered the cheesy bread sticks and they ordered a pizza (pepperoni and sausage, I believe). I ordered the fettuccine chicken tequila.. so scrumptious, heavy, and delicious.. I only ate about 40% of it because of how heavy it is but I'll admit that if it weren't for my fitness goal I would have finished the entire thing and order desserts. I brought my family here for a birthday party celebration. Unfortunately, there were some hiccups. We asked for a party of 11, the table was set for 10. (crowded). They added a chair on the end, it no room on the table room.0n the menu, "Sea Bass " was confirmed as Chilean by the waiter (as per the chef who apparently wasn't even there that evening), was not Chilean Sea Bass. It was an inferior, smelly white unknown fish. One diner didn't get his entree (obviously forgotten) and waited a very long time. One diner ordered Chicken Parm. It was like rubber. Sent it back and ordered a burger that took a very long time. One diner asked for a second beer, the waiter apologized for the wait (20 minutes) and said he would have poured it himself if he was 21. Three guests wanted an after dinner drink and were turned away at exactly 8:30. Patrons were still dining. Overall not a great place for larger parties. read more

My wife and I go there often to enjoy the food and have some drinks as well. The food has a great assortment of items and the price is very fair. The food is always prepared to order amd excellent. In particular I like their "surf and turf" special of filet mignon and lobster. Our other cocktails of dirty martini, negroni or old fashoned are excellently prepared by Alexandria. I went here for lunch with my 12-yr old daughter and her friend (same age). We ordered 1 appetizer (sweet potato fries), 2 pastas with butter and parmesan and my ham/apple pizza plus tiramisu. The girls had shirley temples and I had coffee. The total bill was $95. The food was good. The service was fine until the end. The bill was presented and those 2 orders of buttered pasta with some parmesan cheese sprinkled on top came to $36 ($18 each). Normally, I would have just paid the bill and been done but the portion of pasta was laughable for the price. When I asked about it, I was told by the server that the spaghetti on the main menu is $18/svg. I said I understand but that's with bolognese or marinara sauce. The manager came over and tried to tell me that the register was pre-programmed so he would have to see what he could do, if anything, on the price. He ended up adjusting the bill by $10. When I got home, I looked up the menu and the same pasta on the kids' menu is $9/each. Live and learn to continue ordering off the kids' menu here until my daughter is too old. The server and the manager could have approached this very differently and I would have left a happy customer. I will be back because our family generally loves Tomato Thyme but we'll be sure to check the bill each time! read more
