The bread had herbs on top and the dipping sauce is olive oil with fried and then mashed soft garlic. The bread looked nothing special, but once I touched it, I was delighted to find out that they were warm and crusty on the outside but soft on the inside. It took a bit of wait for our food to came, I think it meant they were freshly cooked. The portions were big. Once laying down our food, the lady came with a big bowl of cheese and helped us sprinkle on top. It looks amazing with the cheese on top, like snow flakes melting on. I am so impressed with my short rib bolognese. The piece of short rib was sumptuous, a whole piece, resting on top of the pasta that is covered in meat sauce. The meat itself was so soft that it was super easy to tear off and just melts in my mouth. Flavorful and soft and juicy, super yummy! The pasta is cooked el dente, and each bite there's a bit of ground meat coated on the ziti pasta from the bolognese sauce. Very satisfying! I had a bite of the ravioli and these huge dumplings are covered in fresh pesto sauce and very cheesy inside. Although I was a bit confused on the difference between a pesto sauce and a pesto cream. I felt like the sauce was more pesto but we ordered pesto cream. Anyhow, it tasted good but I prefer my short rib bolognese more. Bus boy service is fast and responsive. i have been going to tomato thyme for long time (very long time) i love everything about this place. the food is amazing, the customer service is great but some time it can be...... this last friday my kids and i went for dinner even tho we had to wait for 22 minutes we had a great time. my two kids had corn dog and cheese pizza i had steak salad and a glass of wine. we didn't care for dessert so we told our lovely waitress to get us the bill and told her we had to get up in the morning, she smiled and said well maybe you should come and have a brunch. well to tell you the truth i didn't know they serve brunch. i pay the bill and as i was walking out my server said " i will be here in the morning you should come and try our brunch" i smiled and said good night. the next day i was meeting my sister so i told her tomato thyme is serving brunch and if she want to go? we went and i have to say it was fabulous. who knew u can get fabulous lunch, fabulous dinner and amazing brunch and service at one place. oh try the spicy bloody marry its killer read more

Have been here about 5 times now and have not been dissapointed yet. Food and service has always been excellent. They have a great selection on items other than the traditional spaghetti and pizza. This last time we went my parents were in town and we had a party of 6 people. The wait was about 5 minutes as we got there about 5:50 which was god timing because about 20 minutes later when I went out to get something from the car it looked to be about a 30 min wait. We ordered the fried ravioli as an appetizer this time and it wad pretty darn good. That might have to be a "goto" item from now on. Pizza there is good, steak salad was good, they offer kids meals and the price for them is reasonable. Would be nice if they had a kids eat free night but that's just for selfish reasons. Great little neighborhood find! I have driven by this by lots of time and it has always looked a little cheesy from the outside. Last night we went to eat there with a gift card that I had gotten for Christmas. We were very surprised how cozy and friendly of a vibe it had. They also had a full bar , which is always a bonus! They have a good variety of entrees and pizza's on the menu. I had bruschetta, which was tasty , a garden salad, and a gourmet style pizza. Yum! Our waiter was very friendly with good service. So much good food! I came here at least 3 or 4 times and I have never been disappointed. Sit at the bar, order your food and you are sure to get a warm and very small-town charm smile and service. I'm big on service and nothing leaves me with a good impression more than a great wait staff. I had this charming young lady named Katie serve me and she was all smiles ear-to-ear the entire time. After a lengthy discussion on where to go to dinner with the family, we decided on Tomato Thyme. I ordered the Fettuccine Chicken Tequila which was fantastic. The ingredients were very fresh and the flavors popped. My husband had the Chicken Marsala which came with perfectly cooked seasonal vegetables. It was delicious. The service was excellent and despite the fact that the restaurant was packed, we did not have to wait long for our meal. Great job, Tomato Thyme. I had heard this place was amazing but you have to try it for yourself to really understand how good it is. The waiter was very knowledgeable and recommended we have pre wine cocktails, then recommended a bottle of wine based on what we were ordering. I had the rack of lamb, which was cooked to perfection. I was told to go and try the butternut squash ravioli. The waiter suggested I pay a little extra and he could get me a half portion to go with my lamb. He is amazing! They have adjusted the CA law to fit their own needs, so unless you just came off a 40 day fast and you are ready to eat an entree for every cocktail you order then you should eat here. I had one of the worst meatball sandwiches I've ever had here. Meatballs were rock hard, there was more cheese than meatball, and the sandwich was so poorly constructed it was inedible. The servers seemed rushed but we were seated almost immediately. My friend ordered Kettle One on the rocks, I got a glass of house chardonnay and we also ordered the parry melt. The pours were more than generous, we thought the Kettle One was water at first since the glass was so full. And, my pour for the chardonnay was a full glass! We are not complaining but that seems to be the way the owner pours. The patty melt came with a large order of fries and the sandwich itself was gooey and perfect. Despite how full the place was, service was prompt and polite. There have an extensive menu and open at 8am for breakfast. The day time menu serves, burgers, sandwiches, pasta and more. I've been here now about 4 times and I've tried different food items and every time I tell myself, "self" remember to get the same thing next time because it's so good but when the next time comes along I forget what it was that I ordered the last time so I try something new and you know what? I'm never disappointed. The food is always excellent and so is the service. Today I ordered the mighty Cristo creep, Bariteau thingy "lol" see photos. Comes with what looks like 2 crêpe burritos filled with cheese, ham, and eggs and comes with a side of jam and crispy kind of smashed potatoes "again see picture" I also for pancake syrup because that pears so well with Montecristo's.

It is convenient to downtown, Arena Green Park, and the SAP Center. Food comes out relatively quickly.. so if you are attending an event - you should stop by. Parking could be a little tricky. It wasn't a big deal, but then I remembered that's what we'd ordered and asked about it. They explained that their sausage is usually shredded, which I'd honestly never seen before. Even though that's how they normally make it, they went out of their way to make us a medium pizza with chunked sausage so we could try it that way too. Totally unnecessary, but such a thoughtful gesture. Everything was delicious, the staff was super friendly, and they were welcoming to our pup, Maverick. Great food, great service, and we'll definitely be back!

I usually get the eggplant rolls in meat sauce, but this time there was a new dish on the special menu: Calamari Steak ($25.50). It was delicious! it was tender and covered with a fantastic thick sauce. Yummy! Since it was our anniversary, they provided us with a Tiramisu for dessert (not a low carb item, but extremely tasty, and worth going off the diet to enjoy this). Fresh bread and oil with balsamic vinegar is also provided before the food arrives. The service is friendly and prompt. We enjoy the decor of large photos of Italy.

The other man came over and just stared me down for a moment I looked away and around me then to him again then he says "Um we not taking cash so I don't know what he was doing you can't order I said I ordered online ohhhh great that's great then that works what's your name and hands me the bag and walks away. I honestly don't know what to think feel or say about his one here. I guess just never again!!
