The service was great and the value is strong, but I can't get past the meat quality. I got the beef with broccoli, and the beef was mostly fatty pieces that were chewy. The broccoli and flavor was good, but I couldn't eat the meat. The hot and sour soup + egg roll + crab Rangoon it came with were all good, and that's what I ate to fill me up. If I order from here again, it'll be to get food delivered quickly, and I'll order a non-meat dish. However, I wouldn't recommend this place if you're craving quality. read more

First, I would normally never blast a restaurant. Live and learn, and move it on. However, I simply owe it to my fellow man to pass along this review. Traveling on business. Just wanted to get some takeout comfort food to bring back to the hotel. Picked up my order, and immediately noticed the familiar smell of wet dog in the restaurant. First thought: "oh no". Two people in the restaurant. Strike 2. Got back to the hotel. Now I'm concerned that the rental car company is going to complain about the smell in the car. I figured out that the smell was the chicken wings. Old fryer oil maybe? I almost vomited immediately. Tossed those in the bag and put them outside the door of my room. Pretty sure they are evacuating the hotel as a result. Ok, I wasn't going to eat the rice, but now I'm thinking, that's my only safe bet. Opened the box. Gray. Gray? I've seen brownish, yellow even. Rice should never be gray. Can't do it. Next, sesame chicken. One bite. Nope. Sorry Ton... This was so bad. This was our first time eating here and I honestly don't think I will ever eat Asian food any where else again!!!! Absolutely the best I have ever had!!! The food is amazingly fresh, the flavor is beyond anything I can explain, and the staff is awesome! This is by far the best chinese food I've ever eaten. I'm guessing mostly because this is the chinese food I grew up on. Unlike most chinese restaurants, everything taste like it's been cooked as ordered, and not just laying around for 4 hours. I don't think I will ever find a better Chinese restaurant anywhere (besides in China haha). The atmosphere is ok. I have always loved the huge ass sculpture art wall hanging thingy (I don't know what the hell it is). Today was my first time eating here, I was at first skeptical. My husband had eaten here before and we were currently looking threw yelp for help around our area. Since we didn't see many reviews and my husband had eaten here before and liked it, I thought we should give it a try anyways and I must say, it was AMAZING the food was completely great!!!! I ordered the chicken lo mien and my husband ordered the Orange chicken with fired rice, the Orange chicken was oh my god, the bomb dot com! I loved this place!! At first I thought prices were pretty high, as when I looked into the bag they severed us in little white boxes but when we got home and unpacked, servings were more then enough, my husbands Orange chicken was enough for the both of us, and trust me, we like to eat lol. Definitely worth the price, portions were huge! If you haven't tried it I definitely would recommend it!! The only thing I didn't like was the charge for silverware, what kind of restaurant charges for take out silver ware, I don't understand? It's hard to find great Chinese food. Even when we lived in L.A., Often we will drive to Monterey Park or China Town for it. Since we've been spoiled by real deal. We are not easy to please. Ton's is our neighborhood Chinese Restaurant and it's not bad but as I said, I've been spoiled. When we went there for a lunch I had lunch special with Shrimp with garlic sauce. My husband ordered Combination lo-main. Lunch special come with Soup of your choice between Egg flour soup, Hot and Sour soup. Egg roll, 1 pcs of very small Chicken wing and Fried Rice which is very bland. My Garlic Shrimp was pretty good and my husband's lo-main was not bad either. Over all, it's a 3 star. read more

Disgusting is about the only thing nice I can say about this place. Nothing gross or anything like that, the food was just disgusting! I've eaten Chinese takeout for over 25 years. This was the worst Chinese food I have ever bought. I ordered for takeout; half duck, lo mien noodles, general tso chicken, crab rangoons and steamed rice. The best part was the duck even though they give no sauce for it. They are very upfront that the require you to pay for extra sauces, I just assumed that $33 worth of food would come with more than 4 packets of soy sauce. The lo mien is actually ramen noodles. The tso chicken has carrots, water chestnuts, celery, broccoli, and a few other items in it. It is so sweet, neither my wife or I ate more than one piece. The crab rangoons are average (just like any other I've had). We are actually going to trash this meal and go down the road to The Wall Chinese restaurant to get some "decent" food. I am disappointed because I thought we finally found a place to get real Chinese food. read more

We really enjoy ordering from here. Why, they deliver to our home. We have never ate in but i have gone to the establishment once. It is dated but it does not take away from the food. The food was fresh and had great flavors. Compared to other restaurants, their portions or different appear to be smaller. However there are other Chinese restaurants in the area that charge a lot of money and for what they give it is workable. They put the fried rice in the compact box containers that rice go in vs the to go containers and maybe that is why i feel short changed but it feeds my family. It's worth a try. read more

This place has been on my radar for over 20 years! The food is just as good today as it was back then. The portions are large enough to share for two and the prices are very reasonable. We waited for refills on our drinks for a bit but they were busy and doing what they could. The food more then made up for it. read more

Tons is one of our favorite Chinese rest. in the area. They have good food, everything we've gotten has been pretty good especially the Sesame Chicken, Lo mein, egg rolls, crab rangoon, & the pepper steak are just a few of our favs... We usually have it delivered and it's always fresh, hot and fast....The delivery service is great, very nice & pleasant. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes. I would recommend trying Tons Palace in Lancaster, hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as my family. read more

First time and NEVER again. Ordered lemon chicken, however, they brought me mystery meat covered in some type of batter, and 1, yes ONE chicken wingette [blink]. When I asked, "what is this"? The "waitress" (who was very hasty & impatient with customers) started to lecture me! First, she said that she had to pay for it (the "mystery meat"). I told her that she shouldn't discuss that with a paying customer and that I didn't care to hear about those issues; she said, "you need to hear it". So, I asked her twice not to speak to me that way. She was persistent in her verbal attack toward me. We left, and WILL NOT RETURN. And it appeared dirty in the back as u walk toward the restroom (Dallas should require health inspections to be posted). I ordered takeout here by mistake, thought it was the previous place I'd received a door flyer from... it was not. We ordered Chicken TSO, shrimp and broccoli w/fried rice, egg rolls and hot and sour soup. The shrimp and broccoli was sub par, over cooked shrimp and soggy bamboo shoots. The Chicken TSO was Soooo sweet it was inedible. I did not get my hot and sour soup so I called back at least 10 times from 2 different number and got no answer. We've ordered from here a few times over the years and considering how hard it is to find good Chinese, we thought it was pretty good...until today. The egg rolls were very good. Everything else was terrible. The soup had no seasoning, nothing. It was a big noodle in water. Nothing we could add improved it. The Mongolian beef also had no seasoning, no flavor. The general tao chicken was just wet. There was almost nothing on it. No spice, no heat. Bloated chicken in wet breading. The sweet and sour pork was even worse. The sauce watered down, very little pork in the wet breading. No flavor. I don't know if they have a new cook or new ownership or what, but this was the second worst Chinese meal I've ever had. First time ordering this food, and we were very hungry, so we ordered several items. They all arrived in square box containers. Food crammed into these little boxes. We normally drive all the way to GP, to King Dragon where the food is spectacular! Ton's, I must say, first, the Egg Roll flavor was very "Fishy", Orange Chicken, where I barely tasted or noticed any chicken in it, at all, was slightly spicy and crunchy in spots, but "doughy", and the sauce was watery and very sugary, no orange taste at all. We also ordered the Combination Fried Rice, which was....so, so, and the Curry Shrimp and Veggies really missed the mark. The Shrimp was old and overcooked, the sauce was a bit slimy and the veggies were unattractive, to say the least. The Beef and Broccoli was ok, however the beef had a "raw" taste to it where the seasoning did not compliment it at all. We definitely will NOT dine or take out again. Also, the entry way hosted an "outdated" fish tank where even the Goldfish appeared frustrated and angry because they began to fight each other in the tank. I thought, if this is an indication how the food's gonna taste, I'm in big trouble..Lol! read more
