This recent trip to TooJay's, Florida's version of a New York style deli was prompted by a collaboration with one of my other Florida favorite brands Lilly Pulitzer. For Lilly's 65th anniversary, these two partnered together to create a custom coconut lemon cake. We love coming to TooJay's for some hearty homemade comfort foods. Menu items like potato pancakes and matzo ball soup to name a few. And no meal is complete without a made from scratch bakery treat. This restaurant always provides great service, the servers are knowledgeable and provide great hospitality! Ambiance is casual, lots of tables and booths to choose from. Lastly, back to the refreshing coconut lemon cake. This white cake features layers soaked in lemon juice filled with coconut and lemon cream, lemon buttercream frosting, and adored with a candied lemon slice. Yumm Only 20 of the restaurants are carrying this delicious cake, until the end of April 2025.

Nice and clean. Very light crowd on a Saturday night, mainly older people. Their liver and onions is really good.

    Turkey Avocado

Ordered a turkey avocado to go. When I got home it was a small piece of turkey between a hard, dry brioche bun. No avocado, no dressing, no nothing. Very disappointing for $20+

This was the first take out squished pastrami sandwish very little meat

Pictures are better then words. We eat in this place often and the food is aways fresh and delisious. But i ordered out the same food i usually eat in door and as you can see, the contrast is striking. The pastrami was disgusting. It was all fat dark and two pieces. The cole slaw usually you get a bowl ( see below) takeout you get half of a tiny container. The equivalent of three teaspoons total. The joke is, we complained to the manager. He promised another meal which we took him up on his offer the next day. Unfortunately, look what we got as a second meal to go. The manager didn't even check to see if it was acceptable. At least the sandwich wasn't squished like the first one.but there was still only two pieces and it was dark and there was still only a tiny amount of cole slaw. ( it looks like they saved their crappy meat for takeout). My recommendation, eating in? go here.Takeout, go somewhere else to someone that cares what they send out. Update. Spoke to the manager George. Said he would comp me a meal when I came back. I came back he was not there.. Payed in full. Maybe next time

I came to TooJay's Deli after a funeral with a large group. Our table was waiting on us and our server, Jasmine, was extremely polite and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I ordered a soup and sandwich lunch combo with chicken noodle soup and a turkey sandwich with french fries. The avocado, tomato and arugula were very fresh. The French fries were steak fries and were crispy. The rye bread was soft and drag tasting. Our table was given plates of bread and pickles. My husband ordered a pastrami sandwich. He loved it. It was a mile high sandwich and was loaded with meat. I posted pictures of the desserts in the bakery and from the menu. It all looked so delicious. If I wasn't so full, I would have ordered the banana dream dessert too.

    Hold time on phone

Food was good but the hold times could be better. Drove over, picked up a Jamba Juice and walked in the Toojays building before anyone got the phone.

Today's soup was picked up at the Too Jay's deli in Wellington and brought to me. It was filled with vegetables, chunks of chicken, lots of egg noodles, tons of flavor. It was a bit too salty for me. The best part of the soup was the special friend brought it to me; she gets 10 stars!

I really wanted to like this place. Havent been here for a number of years. I ordered Steak Frites…read morewhich i assumed was "Steak Frites" (being that Bistro is in the name of the place!). What i received was a strip steak that looked and tasted like a solid Publix steak. I had to ask for steak sauce (which again defeats the purpose of steak frites). The fries were ore ida crinkle cut fries...again not bad tasting but not steak frites. I had no interest or desire in complaining...so i had a publix steak and supermarket fries for 39 bucks. (Which these days is just a little more than publix would cost). Texas Roadhouse is a way better option if you want fairly priced steak w great service. I hate to leave a bad review bc the service was fine and the place is nice...but any chef would know what steak frites are...lol

We kicked things off with the deviled eggs appetizer--an absolute must. Perfectly seasoned and totally addictive. The tuna poke bowl was fresh and light, while the beef stroganoff hit all the comforting, rich notes we were craving. The seafood fra diavolo (pro tip: order it spicy!) brought the heat in the best way. And if you're a sandwich fan, the French dip is done just right--tender, juicy, and satisfying. Don't skip the wedge salad either... crisp, creamy, and downright delicious.

Quick summary: Food = 5 stars, Service = 3 stars…read more I went to lunch with some friends, and everyone enjoyed their meals. We shared an order of delicious lobster deviled eggs. What's not to love with this flavor combo? Three people had salads including the Healthy Nut Salad, the Chopped Salad with Chicken, and the Necane Chicken Salad. Each of these included an interesting and tasty mix of greens, nuts, fruits, veggies and a delicious citronelle dressing. The portion sizes were large and the salads were quite filling. The only concern was that the piece of chicken on the Healthy Nut Salad was somewhat dry and did not have much seasoning. When cut and mixed in with the other salad ingredients and dressing, it was ok. I had the turkey melt sandwich, which included a fabulous blueberry chutney and melted cheese on a tasty toasted "rustic" bread. It came with a large quantity of oh-so-edible french fries. One person had the ahi tuna poke, which was as delicious as it looked. Such a nicely stacked presentation! It included quinoa, cucumber, mango, avocado, tomatoes and onions. The service was a bit lacking throughout our meal. We did not consistently receive refills on our water in a timely fashion, and we had to go searching for our server to bring us our check. Would I go back? Absolutely! The lunch menu had a wide variety of options including a large range of interesting appetizers, salads, flatbread pizzas, tacos pastas and larger entrees. Probably not the best place to go if you are in a hurry though. Instead, plan to enjoy a delicious leisurely lunch.
