What are all you people complaining about here? It's still TooJay's, still the same food, and I even saw a few of the same waitresses that used to work at the Wellington Mall location! Food was just the same as it always is -- your standard TooJay's mile-high deli sandwich, delicious flavorful soup, wonderful French fries, Shepherd's Pie, etc. We loved it. We went there today for lunch. It was maybe 40% full with diners. The service was good and quick. My husband ordered a rueben and that was loaded with meat as all of there pictures show their meat sandwiches to be, and their french fries were very good. I got the Chicken Philly that was on there special board as you walk in. The sandwich consisted of more peppers and onions than chicken. It was very disappointing. I had been here one other time for breakfast in the last 10 years that I lived in the area and the fact I had only been once makes me think that wasn't the greatest either. If I went back I would most likely go for the corned beef or pastrami but unless I feel that particular craving I won't be back. read more

Went to lunch with my husband. I had my turkey sandwich and my husband had a corn beef sandwich. Both excellent. Beautiful day to seat outside which we did. Our Server "Nick" was a delight to deal with, great smile, attentive to everything and eager to please. Nick will make us come back and ask for him. I wish you could be able to clone him. We used to eat here all the time. The last two times we ate lunch it was not good. We took friends from out of town for lunch a few weeks ago and it will be the last time we go. The waiter was rude and a smart aleck. The food mediocre. My friend ordered a salad which was nearly all light green, bitter lettuce. My burger tasted odd. Last night we went out with friends and we had been to this TooJay's before. Not great but not bad either. But last night was the worst experience with TooJay's. After being seated for a few minutes the waitress finally came and took our order, there were four of us, along with our drink requests. About 10 minutes later she came back to verify the drink orders and another five minutes we finally got out drinks. We then waited about 15 minutes for another waiter to come tell us the food was made, but the kitchen messed up my sandwich and put the cole slaw on it (which I had ordered it not to be). We should have got up and walked out, but my friends disagreed with me, well 2 of them did. I then told them to just bring out everybody else's food, he said okay. 10 more minutes they bring out all of our meals, except the salad one of my friends ordered ( with chicken). They then brought out the salad without the chicken and said the chicken was being prepared. We asked for the manager. While we ate the manager had to stop at other tables to receive complaints too. When she finally got to us, we explained how poorly things had gone and it seemed her explanation was, "well, we did not know we would be busy at night." I explained to her that I was most upset with being LIED to by the staff. We questioned her, why they were still seating people if the staff was this far behind? There was no answer. The food was not as good as it usually is, and it is mostly prepped off-site so how could they screw it up so badly? I always love TooJay's for breakfast; I used to go once a week when it was still in Wellington mall. After they moved outside the mall to where Jason's Deli used to be, I hardly go - I don't know why? As if like I forgot all about it. They lost a star today because my server was drown in perfume? Cologne? It was so overpowering that I dreaded whenever she comes by our table. Every time I've ever been there, the server always gave me my check and say "no rush". I was accustomed to that, but this time, the server took an extra 20mins to bring our check. I saw a lot of new faces today. Of the foods that were prepared, the appropriate condiments were not included. Although this was a take-out order, there was no silverware or napkins included. The absolute greatest pastrami on rye and the absolute worst fries. When I need pastrami, I head to TooJay's. When I see someone I hate, I encourage them to order a double portion of fries from there. It can't be hard to fix, and I wouldn't care except fries come with a sandwich. Fix it guys. I like this restaurant. Just some feedback regarding the matzo ball soup. Sometimes you are heavy handed with the green herb (not sure what it is, maybe thyme) and it overtakes the soup. It's like eating thyme soup. I don't believe it's parsley as I use that and my soup doesn't taste like that. Sometimes when it comes to cooking, less is more especially when it comes to herbs. read more

We went tonight for dinner 12/9/18 and it was the worst service ever our waitress never came over to see how we were doing how was the food. I waited at least 5 minutes to get a bottle of ketchup and probably another 8 to get a refill on my drink as our waitress was to busy talking to the hostess. Their desserts are wonderful, but they just can't serve a hot meal if their lives depended on it I first started with a lukewarm chicken mole soup, which had to go back. Then, anticipating a temperature problem with my Turkey dinner, I ordered extra gravy. The dinner came with overcooked green beans that were like shoe leather and the dinner was lukewarm and the extra gravy was cold. Sent it all back. Basically, everything got sent back and re-made. Ordered a cake for a nurse in our Unit, who on her birthday decided to still work and spend time taking care of others. I called and ask the store if they can at least write a "Happy Birthday"message on the cake and they declined because of COVID. Disappointed! We love TOOJAY'S but this last meal was disappointing. I order a grilled chicken breast and French fries for my son. I always taste his food just to make sure it's ok and the chicken was extremely dried and tasted old. It was definitely re-heated. My son didn't like it so now he will be hungry again when we get home. Super annoying for me. The fries were good. I really like their fries. I ordered a cup of mushroom soup. The soup was good but watered down. Very runny. I also ordered a Cobb salad. It was good as well. Service was good. I didn't bother to complain about the chicken or soup. I love this place! The food is so good and at great price! I love the bakery items especially the cakes and black and white cookies. My favorite cake is the banana dream! The dill chicken salad is awesome. During the summer they were doing the 2 for $25 which a great deal! I hope they bring that back! This restaurant is always clean and well run! Who doesn't love TooJay's? This location especially! It is extremely clean. Everyone is still wearing masks. They are still practicing social distancing. The food is ALWAYS delicious. The staff is so welcoming. No matter what waitress we get they are ALWAYS extremely friendly and courteous. We never feel rushed when we come here no matter how busy they are. I am a creature of habit so every time we come here I get the same thing! Hey, if it ain't broke don't fix it! Is that the right saying for this? Not sure, but it works! LOL I always get a bacon and cheese omelette and it is NEVER a disappointment. They put the perfect amount of crispy bacon and cheese in the omelette. The home fries are perfectly seasoned. They have the BEST rye bread ever! Their grits are delicious. My husband always gets something different for breakfast and he has not had a single complaint about anything. They have a huge selection of desserts. We have not had the chance to try their lunch yet but we have seen others eating sandwiches and they look amazing! read more

If you haven't eaten at TooJay's Deli in Wellington in a long time....DON'T Ate there tonight for dinner. They have so significantly downsized their dinner meal portions, you'd think you were being served a small tv dinner. Their former dinner portion of the Traditional Turkey Dinner was a generous serving of turkey, mashed potatoes ,etc. Now the mashed potatoes was a small little ball, and the apple sauce I asked for instead of the broccoli, was in a tiny little container, nothing like the past where it was served in a appropriate sized saucer. The waitress, Sophia, was amazing. She tried her best to accommodate me with her hands basically tied. But, first, let me let you know that the turkey dinner was not my first choice of the evening. I first ordered a hamburger, medium, with crisp french fries. What I got was a thin, greasy burger that would make McDonalds look like a gourmet restaurant. It was not medium but super well done and gray on the inside. The fries were a mushy mess. The waitress brought back another one but it was identical to the first, well-done and greasy. That's when I opted for the turkey dinner having had a delicious experience in the past. This was far from it. Maybe I'll try a simple sandwich next time if I ever go back, but this was a most unpleasant experience. read more

I have never been to Toojay's and I came here to meet a couple girlfriends for lunch. I waited in line to get a table and the line moved pretty quick around lunch time. I was debating to get a sandwich since I heard that Toojay's is famous for them, but I settled for the cheddar bacon dogs with fries. Oh so good! It is exactly what it is. If only it had a little bit of chili on them, it would be perfect. My friend loved her cheese blintzes and was raving about it the entire time. Our waiter was nice and he made sure that we were happy with our meals. I didn't dare touch the black and white cookies that they are also famous for since I was stuffed from my awesome lunch. A sad experience. We have been frequenting TooJay's regularly when in Wellington for the winter every year. Food and service have always been excellent. I repeat: "been". When we were there last week, the restaurant was nearly deserted--- only one other table occupied inside and two on the patio. They were --get this-- out of matzo balls and out of the soup of the day. How can a deli that offers takeout and catering be out of matzo balls? The rest of the meal was tasty as ever and our server (Javier) did his best, but the overall feeling was depressing and we wonder whether we'll be coming back to what has always been our favorite restaurant in the area. Too Jays has always been great. I have always been to the Palm Beach location. The Wellington shop needs to take some notes. They should always check the order before you get a take home and see items missing. Now you may say I should look. When you pay over 24 dollars for 2 sandwichs... I should not have to. Too Jay's is always a good choice. The food is consistently good for deli sandwiches, soups and salads. My personal favorite is the turkey on challah bread. You can't get sandwiches on challah bread at many other sandwich locations. Also, their mazto ball is one of the best. A cup of mazto ball soup comes with pieces of chicken (mostly dark meat), onions, celery, carrots with crackers on the side. read more

Surprised because i have been coming to toojays for 25 years now I had a great experience helpful friendly people and the food was very tasty. I love TooJay's, mainly because it's hard to find decent deli food anywhere around here. Now is the food always delicious? No, not really but you just need to know what to get. Their fries are usually spot on. The cold sandwiches you can't really go wrong on. The reuben and rachel will always be classics. I like the Mediterranean trio and Matzo Ball soup. Potato pancakes are hit or miss, but when they are a hit, they are a fly ball out of the park. I hear the desserts are really good but out of the dozens of times I've been here, I have yet to try any. Overall, I wish there was better deli food around but until that day, this will be my spot when I am craving some classics. read more

This used to be my favorite toojays. It seems like they are all going down after new management! I came to this location and waited 15 minutes to even be acknowledged! And it is not even busy! I asked the busser if he could please get our server and he told us "he'll be right out". Instead of getting him for us. Our waiter walked by us at least four times without any acknowledgement.
