I have never felt the need to write a review on here but I wanted to express my satisfaction. I usually always come here because the staff is amazing at what they do! Today I was seen by Ivy and she did French tips on my toes. She was great and always super friendly :) Afterwords I decided to get my eyebrows done (first timer)... I was NOT disappointed! Ana was the one who I suppose does all the waxing and she made me feel super comfortable and she was very professional and who knows what she is doing. LOVE how my toes and eyebrows look! If you want it done right and with sincere people come here! I will only come here to get my nails and waxing done from now on :) read more

Well I went in to see them with a slightly ingrown toenail and came out with it still in place and hurting worse than ever after she was mashing on it! What a waste of money! If I was able to give no stars I would! Go else where if you are even starting to have an ingrown toenail cause you'll leave with it even worse! read more

I brought my husband here for a Manicure and a Deluxe pedicure. He's a military officer so he enjoys pedicures to heal is worn out feet. As tough and rough as he is, he enjoys getting pampered. From first impressions the salon was adequate. No this too fancy and not to busy. We were a walk in and they were able to help us right away. He really enjoyed the sugar scrub, pumice stone and the mint cooling masque. He cut his chair massager on and laid back while he enjoyed the scrubs. I watched the technician and she was very thorough with cutting, cleaning up, shaping, and filing his toe nails. She took extra time to ensure that his cuticles were maintained and that she removed the dry callous skin from his feet. The manicure was nice as well and she was more than happy to give his hands and toes a shiny buff instead of a clear coat of polish. I am happy to say that he really enjoyed his man-y/pedi and the price ($40) was very reasonable. The only concern that I have is that they didn't use individually wrapped, single use utensils. I noticed that they had a sanitizing machine but were used to nail techs using new tools on each client. Other than that they were great! read more

I love it. I have gone there for the past few years, and they do my nails beautifully. :) When I leave the place, I'm always satisfied with whatever I get. Whether it'd be a pedicure, manicure, or acrylics. The worker are trained professions who do a wonderful job. And as for waxes, they do a nice and clean job of it. Although if a wax burns or rips your skin off, the manager kindly explained to me that it's often because of your skin type. :) For sensitive skin, use lotion/aloe. They also offer a type of wax, with string threading (I have not found this much where else!) that is used for people, who are sensitive to the wax. If I have any problems with them, I bring it up with the manager. She's nice, and is often reasonable or flexible about a lot of issues! read more

I haven't been to a nail salon where I left without hating everything. My nails are either crooked, the paint is so far from the cuticle, there's gel everywhere - OR the worst part, I have buyers remorse because I just spent a ton of money on a horrible mani/pedi. That is not the case with Top Nails. I came by on a Thursday night, it was busy but I managed to get my mani/pedi done at the same time. They had a lot of gel colors to choose from and lots of design. I normally keep it simple so it was a quick visit for me. I told the worker that I liked really short nails and just to keep it as a clean as possible. I walked out of there with my fingers super shiny and looking like like glossy skittles. I was in love. My pedi was amazing too - I even opted for the paraffin wax. The absolute best part was how cheap it was! They got me in and out of there in under hour and a half - seems long but I asked for the deluxe package or something like so there was a lot of exfoliating, massaging and soaking. I've been to this place a handful of times with walkins and was always satisfied. However today I am not happy. I called yesterday to make an appointment. I should have know that something was going to go wrong because while I was telling her my time and info for the appointment, she was rushing through like she wasn't writing the info down. Lo and behold, today I came in and said appointment at 10 and all the pedicure chairs were full and they asked what I wanted done. Now it's 10:30 and my friend and I finally get seated. I'm used to getting my nails done at the Japanese nail salons like Salon Cherie and Salon Glitter, but I was in need of a manicure and pedicure last minute so I decided to come here because of the good reviews. I called ahead of time for a reservation at 4:15PM since I knew their lot was paid parking and I didn't want to be waiting around. Well.. making reservations doesn't matter, I guess. I arrived at 4:10PM and wasn't seen until 5:15PM. I was very irritated waiting for so long, but I decided to stay for my mani and pedi. Now I know why I go to Japanese nail salons. Although my nails turned out nice, they're SO ROUGH with your nails. My nails and fingers literally pulsated in pain following my treatment here. I know that it's common since I don't get nails don't frequently with tip extensions and gel fill, but when I have had it done, it didn't hurt like this. I also felt very rushed and it felt like a factory in there. It was more about how many people they could get in and out rather than the quality of their work. In all, I definitely liked the way my nails looked after and Ana did make sure that I would call if anything happened, but I don't know if I will be coming back for a manicure. Although the other Japanese salons I frequent are more pricey, I know that you pay for what you get. I wouldn't mind getting a pedicure here again, but hopefully if I make a reservation, I'll be able to be seen at the time of my reservation. read more

Initial impression is that it's a nice, clean and organized nail salon. The service was good and the in-salon experience was nice, although, my massage remote for the chair was broken. One star because 3 hours later at home, my nail polish was smudging off as if my nails weren't cleaned of either the lotion or the paraffin well enough. I'm so disappointed given everything else seemed to align. I will not return, nor will I refer anyone to this salon. read more

Been going to a few different salons but find myself going back here because of the evening hours, ample parking and friendly service. I had Kelly who was super accommodating and friendly. She took her time to complete my pedicure even though it was way past closing time. Love the massage chairs! They have a restroom available to patrons. Recommend making an appointment. read more

I have come here years ago and the service was a lot better. Came today and customer service was not up to par. She rushed my manicure and gel recolor, therefore one of my nails are poorly painted. She had no interest in me being there and her main concern was to get me out of her chair. She did my nails within 10-15 min. Horrible. Never coming here again. aaaaaaaahmazing. i can't believe im the first to review! must mean i'm the one to blow this secret spot right out of here. super plush reclining pedi stations!! the best i've seen ever! and clean! and clean! and clean!!!! no rips, no awkward stains.....spotless! plus they play movies round the clock! on their 42 inch tv! and they play it with sound. although it has english captions, because they must be learning the language, its ok, it has sound!! also, the staff is really nice and friendly. i noticed the ladies who come here are pretty local kine so it must be a gem. sorry guys to spoil it, but i'll be back - watching my movies, getting my nails did, sleeping off the hangover in the plush chairs. read more

This was my first time here as I normally go to Smiley's buy my friend recommended this place. It is much smaller than Smiley's. 6 pedi chairs. It seems a bit more expensive then what I am used to. However if you are into nail art and bling-bling this place is for you. They have way more nail art designs than some others. I was impressed but ladies watch your wallet cause it can get very pricey just for nail art. The next time I need a full set with bling art design I'm definitely coming here. read more

I'm biased...I'm an Ana snob. I only go to Ana for the gelish nail treatment aka Shelac. (If you're unfamiliar with this, it's your real nails but harder nail polish that you bake under the UV light. You leave without having to wait for the paint to dry.) She does an outstanding job every time and she's pretty fast. Yes, you def should make an appointment her. Otherwise you will be put with anybody who is available. But everyone is nice here and they seem to be crowded all the time. They are located in Kaimuki next to Hokkaido Ramen. There is a big parking lot and the parking is cheap. read more

I used to come here all the time for nails, but then I started doing my own nails to save money. So my review is about the eyebrow waxing. I've gotten my eyebrows waxed here maybe 8 times tops. A couple months ago I had them waxed by Ana and she dropped wax on my eye!!! Thank god it was closed. It stuck my eyelashes together and was really uncomfortable. Ana felt really bad and got it out, but it took her like 15 minutes and it was awful. I was shocked she actually still charged me after what happened. Anyway, I know she felt bad, so I thought I would give them another chance. Well, I went last week and a different lady did my eyebrows and although she did a great job on the actual shaping, she burned my skin under my brow! I have a scab and it started bleeding the next day after I washed my face. I have had hundreds of eyebrow waxings in my lifetime and I have never had either of these things happen to me. I can't go back there now. I will have to find somewhere else... sad. read more

DO NOT HAVE PERMINANT EYEBROW TATTO DONE HERE! She digs her needle In you so hard. Eyebrows came out loap sided. Way to dark when I kept Insisting to go lighter . I have to use expensive make up cover to hide the mistakes she made. One eyebrow is way thicker then the other. In my opinion I was way overcharged for what she did and the quality of her work truly leaves a lot to be desired. read more

The ladies here are very nice but I am disappointed in the quality. I spent $70 for a mani and pedi. The pedi polish is still intact but my mani polish started chipping off and the studs that were on fell off after only three days. For that much money I expect it to last longer than three days! read more

Never again!!! Got a full acrylic set and deluxe pedi. I left there with crooked acrylics, bloody fingers, left over residue stuck to my fingers from the acrylic, and a whacked toe nail paint job. When I say crooked acrylics, I mean they were filed slanted and at some corners, quite sharp. Also crooked, the way they applied the acrylic. It's wavy and not smooth at all. The girl was filing down my nail, I guess to put the acrylic part on and she filed down my fingers. They were actually bleeding!!! I went home and scraped off the left over residue that was making my skin stick to the fake nails like glue. I went there before and ana burned my eyes during a waxing. And I said never again. Thought, ok, its been a few years and its just nails. But when you sit there anticipating that something is gonna be really painful and quite scared that there will be blood because of the inexperience, it does not make for a happy, relaxing mani pedi day. If you like bloody fingers and crooked manis, go for it. I'm not into the blood... never again! read more

This used to be my favorite nail salon. My last visit here turned me off big time. It was a weekday, and the salon had only 2 other guests. The pedicure was uncomfortable and stabby feeling. The lady working on my feet kept insisting I let her shave down my calluses, but I kept saying no. I finally gave in and said "ok, just a little bit". The owner was standing near me said a few words in Vietnamese and repeated "just a little bit" in a mocking tone. I'm not stupid, I know when someone is making a rude comment about me. Huge turn off. The owner later had to fix one of my fingernails. She kept yanking my hand towards her, as if I were resisting. That nail was crooked and uneven. I didn't even get a chance to check it, she quickly passed me on to the next person. I got charged $5 for a janky nail. The owners here need to take more pride in their work and make sure their guests are happy. And another thing, don't rush through guests especially if you have no one else to assist. read more

I love this salon! Hy husband and I were.in honolulu over 4th of July and went there for a mani pedi before we flew home. They took their time and gave us incredible service. Matta did my nails and she was so sweet and did an amazing job. We realized we were going to be pushing it to get to the airport on time and rushed out of there. I accidently left my rolex on her station. I didn't realize it until we were back in California. I was horrified! We got in touch with Matta.and she had my watch safe and secure. She held it for me until I could make arrangements to pick it up. I was so impressed.by this young lady and grateful that she didn't think twice about secure my watch for me. I wish I lived closer. Went there for the first time with my daughter for a mani-pedi a couple of weeks ago. I also opted for gel nails. I was more than pleasantly surprised with the service and quality. A young woman named Matta was my nail tech and based on my experience with her alone, I would go back. She was personable, friendly and the most socially engaging nail tech I've ever had. The interior of the salon could do with a bit of an update, especially the sink / trash area, but otherwise it was clean, well stocked with an impressive selection of nail polish colors and brands, and functional massage chairs. Its a good place! My friends always get their nails done here and it ends out beautifully. A lot of the time, you gotta just keep track of the price and if they offer extra things, make sure you find out how much it costs first! The problem I see is with a bunch of teenagers coming out saying how expensive it is but they never bothered to calculate all the bling-bling they're choosing and how much that costs. If people got concerns about customer service, they' ve got flaws but they're always trying to improve. Got a problem, talk to Ana! She does her best at trying and always constantly bringing in new colors and improving. She's really sweet though, just make sure you're clear and concise on everything! Made an appointment at 11 for myself and a girlfriend at noon. Showed up right on time and ended up waiting a few minutes to get a chair. We we were brought to our chairs, we sat there for 20 minutes before staff were ready to start. My girlfriends massage chair was not turned on for her and the remote was wedged behind another customer. I had to ask for them to turn on her chair. My girlfriend waited another 25 minutes before someone finally began working on her pedicure- 45 minutes after we arrived! Really disappointing considering we made an appointment. The delay also made us way over with the parking meter, which has a 1 hour limit. Luckily no ticket. Feet feel pretty great but will not go back due to the unprofessionalism. read more
