Left to right: Lemon Glazed Old Fashioned Apple Fritter Valley Girl Lemon Salted Caramel Old Fashioned Maple Bar Bavarian Creme
    Carina R.

Heard that this place had amazing donuts, and they are indeed great! But nothing to rave or write home about, in my opinion. Coffee quality is par for the course in Seattle. We got a couple of their unique coffee offerings: Ovaltine latte and Opal Vietnamese style cold brew. Both were pretty tasty, but I think a little bit on the too sweet side. Service was fast though, they got the Vietnamese coffee out shortly after I signed the receipt and the Ovaltine latte out within 5 minutes. They were out of Marionberry fritters (seasonal June offering) even though I went at 10am. I guess they're super popular? Got a half dozen including: maple bar, bavarian cream bismark, apple fritter, lemon glazed old fashioned, valley girl lemon, and salted caramel old fashioned. All were chewy and doughy without a greasy mouthfeel. They also didn't make me feel physically terrible like your standard donuts would, which is a big plus. Loved the interior of the place. This would be a wonderful cafe to sit and work/read in because it feels very homey. I loved the appearance both interior and exterior. Took the donuts to go though because I was in a hurry to the airport. If I were a local Seattleite, I'd probably come here again because their donuts are yummy, the coffee is quality, and the vibes are great. But as it stands as a visitor, I wouldn't say this is a "must go" place to hit up if you're not from the area.

Ready for a 5 star review? I have been to a few Top Pots and the donuts are always a hit due to consistency BUT the beverages are not. This place though, makes the best matcha latte! I am looking at the pic and reminiscing the taste LOL. The service was great especially since I showed up 30 mins before closing and I just hate being that person! The drive to Seattle sucks but I would do it again, especially with Spring arriving.

Solid donuts, they have all the basics! Great for bringing to work as a sweet treat for the team!

Cutest, quaint cafe in Cap Hill to come in and read or work with excellent service, and great coffee to sip on! It had very inspiring and unique ambiance with book shelves and library type set up. I spent my Thursday morning working on my laptop, at this cafe. It opens at 7 AM. The staff was very warm and friendly. Highly recommend it!

Don't expect your coffee or tea to be churned out quickly, but the results are going to be far superior to the average coffee chain or shop. Kiddo and I popped in while waiting for friends to meet us at the vintage store across the street. The vibe is very mellow, with low lighting, floor to ceiling bookshelves covered in old encyclopedias and book series, and in mid February, aliens shooting heart lasers at other aliens amid spaceships. I loved it. There was plenty of seating at 4 on a Saturday, even with space between tables. A spectacular London Fog and cinnamon sugar raised ring set me back $7 and change before tip. Staff was really friendly.

Top spot is known for being one of the best donut shops in Washington and it didn't disappoint! They have at least a dozen different types/flavors to choose from daily. I loved the glazed chocolate old fashioned. Prices are pretty normal for a donut (around $3) and they also have drinks available. Great for a little afternoon pick-me-up!

I have been here about a dozen times. The coffee selection is par for the course in Seattle. The fritters are rather doughty in the center. Thr chocolate frosted cake are tasry. I take off two stars for a very simple reason. I've lived in Seattle in over 25 years. Twenty years back i lived on the hill, queer, young, and thin. I'm older, fatter, and had the temerity to quip, "why not?" In an eager and enhusastic manner when asked if I wanted whip cream. The gentleman at the desk could not help but comment under his breath when he handed my cup to the batista. I did not notice, until the batista asked "what?" and the cashier (quickly and quietly) said "it doesn't matter." It is bad form to mock customers in such a way that they notice. I've worked customer service plenty, and waited until they were out of earshot.

For the love of doughnuts! I've made it my business to cut out sweets for awhile but I had to make an exception this time around. Parking is a little snugged around this location so be patient and be mindful not to block the driveway of the local residents. Once I was able to park, I walked half a block over this wonderful spot. Not only did I see a mouth watering display of donuts, I also saw decor that included books! (Blerd moment) What is better than doughnuts, books and coffee?! Nothing! (Ok, maybe some things but in this case, nothing!) The gentleman that assisted me that day was so delightful and upbeat (his name escapes me but he wore glasses and super helpful with my selections). It's impossible to walk out of this place without a smile on your face. I wanted only a couple of donuts but it made no sense to get anything less than half a dozen. The only one I will share that you have to try is the large original glazed... other than that, I recommend going crazy and trying as many as you like. I seriously cannot wait to go back!

Everyone was nice and we were greeted us right away. We took a while to order and we were not pressured to rush. Drinks were great but the matcha was delicious. I wish this Top Pot was closer to me, I'd visit quite often!

Friends are visiting from Bay Area, Top Pot is one of his request stops. I got blue berry cinnamon and maple. Cinnamon was sweet but not too sweet, donut was still soft not hard but not fresh if u come in the morning. I still like my maple donut! The staff was friendly and helpful.

Not just a donut shop! I love this little spot. They have amazing donuts but they also have other tasty bake goods! The location for me is pretty convenient. I come to Swedish hospital weekly, and this is right across from Swedish first hill/ cherry hill campus. Or even Nordstrom tower. There isn't much choices in the area but this is one of the fun one. It's cute. Smell like sugar and butter! And I had my first actual, real donut! I've had mochi donuts before I've tried real donuts which was here. I was today's years old when I tasted my first real donut: 2021 years old. Place itself is cute, small, clean and inviting. Didn't realize how many choices there will be for donuts. But I went with raspberry glaze and chocolate rainbow. Super rich! Both of them. Even the dough itself: it's soft but chewy and sugary. And all the flavor explosion. Definitely a good stop when you need that sugar rush or donut craving!

I had 4 different donuts during my visit to Seattle. I had the blueberry glazed, maple, chocolate cinnamon/sugar, and Oreo crumble. The donuts were the prefect level of sweetness but nothing I'd write home about. Out of the couple that I've tried, I would say the blueberry one had a nice crunch.

    Chris L.

Sorry, needing to downgrade this to two stars after my latest experience. I can't help myself but need to occasionally get my doughnut fix. They're still good. But if you have three untrained vanity dogs yapping at each other, one of them literally trying to hump your leg and the owner trying to tell you "he's just curious" - no thanks! Gross.

I had to try it…read more I saw this cute spot on inKind after walking by it during several Seattle visits and finally decided to stop in after reading another review that mentioned that they are nut-free. Spoiler: Absolutely no regrets, I wish I had visited earlier! I ordered a six pack with a variety of their donuts and shared them with four friends, having a bit of each. I'm glad we did it this way because I don't think I could have finished some of these donuts solo. I also had a seasonal rose latte at half sweetness which was decent, but very wholesomely came with a little donut hole that was pretty good. I will say, they nailed all the flavors. If you like the flavor, probably a 4/5 donut overall. They just weren't always my cup of tea. So the scores here are for personal enjoyment more than anything - like I said, they're solid donuts. Sour Watermelon (2/5): Holy smokes, this one felt like it was punching your taste buds. It's almost confusing on how this is in a donut form. It's more like a sour patch kid. It's intense. I don't think I could solo one. Mango Tajin (3/5): Similar to the sour Watermelon, it's perplexing how this is a donut. It was a bit spicy and tangy, just as the flavor implied. Cookies & Cream (3.5/5): Get ready to get messy. It's crumbly. It's sweet. It's more like a normal donut. Matcha Strawberry (4.5/5): My favorite of the weird flavors of donuts. They really aced the matcha flavor and it's well balanced for a donut. Blueberry Fritter (2.5/5): This was pretty hyped up, but honestly I felt like the blueberry flavor was overpowered just by the sheer amount of sugar. Texture was good, it just felt so sweet. Overall, I'd definitely recommend for a fun experience. Share some different flavors! Paid via inKind with no issues.

We decided to drop by after eating lunch in the area for a sweet treat afterwards, then ended up picking up a whole dozen... Some notes for a couple that I tried: Maple Bar ($4.99) - Hmm.. Not that fluffy or light. Instead or being airy, it's more dense and has a kind of springy chew. The glaze is sweet and gives off a heavy maple fragrance, an indication they use real maple syrup in the glaze. Maple bars from other places are usually disgustingly sweet with basically no maple flavor - this one is sweet but more well balanced. I think the texture is definitely different from a typical yeast donut. I wonder if it's just because it more difficult to make vegan yeast donuts vs cake donuts? It's a different type of yeast donut, but still very good. (4/5) Chocolate Peanut Butter ($4.45) - Good peanut butter flavor in both the topping and glaze. I think the donut base is also peanut butter but it could be contamination from the glaze. The base isn't very sweet and is kind of almost savory in flavor. The donut is dense but not crumbly and instead very moist. Not really crusty, so not too much textural difference. I think it's baked rather than fried. Still very sweet. (4/5) Devils Playground ($4.45) - The donut base is dense with rich chocolate flavor, and coated with a chocolate ganache of just the right thickness. I hate it when donuts just have a smear of topping to make the donut look attractive, but does barely anything flavor wise. This one, on the other hand, is richly flavored. (4/5) Chocolate Raspberry ($3.65) - This is my favorite, same chocolate cake donut base as above but with bright berry notes and specks of seeds. The tangy berries do wonders to temper down some of the sweetness. (5/5) French Toast ($3.65) - My least favorite by far. Covered with peanuts (which is fine), but the cake donut base or perhaps the glaze tastes heavily earthy, like an overload of cinnamon and nutmeg. (2/5) People who expect the exact same texture as a non-vegan donut, both the cake and yeast types, will probably be disappointed. If I just think of these donuts as their own thing, they're actually quite good. There's another donut shop that I prefer down the street, but Mighty-O Donuts certainly isn't a bad choice for a sweet treat.
