I was in the neighborhood and decided to walk in. Cathy was able to take me right away and did fantastic work. I got a hard gel fill with gel polish and am very happy with the work. I also got a pedicure and unfortunately didn't get the name of the lady that worked on my feet. My biggest complaint with pedicures is they usually never cut my nails as short as I ask. Thank goodness for this tech! She did exactly as I asked and took care of some ingrown nails as well with great care. Not only did they do great work but the prices were very reasonable. read more

This was my 1st time here. Walked in-Only had a pedicure with callus remover added on. There weren't a lot of color options for regular polish but I only like super dark reds. I did find a good one I liked though. 3 weeks later my pedicure has held up perfectly- no chipping or missing polish!! Very happy with the service, polite lady did my pedicure. It didn't take forever and there was no wait as I went in the morning on a weekday and sat right down to be be served. She had me getting up well before my toes were dry to leave but I'm careful so I didn't mind. The price can't be beat it was super inexpensive and the place is in a big free parking lot so parking isn't an issue either. It's not a huge place at all and the inside isn't brand new looking but the massage chairs vibrated and reclined great and nothing was broken or dirty. They have a tv playing the news on the wall. They took cash and card and I was able to tip with my card payment. I'll be back to try a full set for my fingernails soon with my next pedicure. read more

Have never had such a horrible experience, in 20 years of visiting nail salons...I walked in on my lunch break and they said they had time for a fill. I've NEVER had a fill take longer than an hour, ever. I was sat immediately, and the tech doing my fill was clearly new (just based off the tools she was using, and her obvious apprehension). She was taking a really long time just to get my old color off and prep my nails. I'm patient with that sort of thing, as long as she still does a good job. Then when she finally got to filling my acrylics, she tried like 7-8 times and kept scraping it off; clearly she did not know what she was doing. She finally went and asked for helped. At this point, I had already been there for 50 minutes. A different tech stepped in to actually do my fill and finish. This other woman, I did not get her name, was extremely rude and rough with me. She kept throwing and shoving my hands and fingers, she was extremely rough with the tools she was using and kept cutting me with the Dremel and burning my skin with the buffer. She was using her nails to push down on the sides of my fingers but doing it so roughly she actually cut me with her fingernail. I kept telling her it was hurting, but she kept doing it, despite the tears welling up in my eyes. TWO HOURS later, she was finally done and my nails look horrible. None of them the same length. None of them the same shape. None of them the same thickness. The polish job was extremely rushed and looks horrible (read: bubbly, uneven, polish on my skin, etc). When I went to pay, I paid with a card, and the tech who did my nails was the one who rang me up. She handed me the credit card slip, with a tip line on it, and wouldn't give me my card back. I asked for my card and stood there until she gave it to me. She wanted a tip, despite how awful I was treated and how horrible my nails looked. 100% will not be going back to this place. They might have better techs, but the two I experienced were NOT good, and the one was down right rude and treated me like I did something wrong. Avoid this place. read more

I have been going to top Star Nails for 10 years and absolutely love it. The employees are attentive and professional and always aim to please. I especially appreciate being able to do a manicure and pedicure at the same time by two employees. If you get a scratch or a smudge afterward they are happy to fix it with no charge. They have recently remodeled adding brand new Spa chairs, chairs at the manicure tables and decorations. Yen gave wonderful pedicures and I finally convinced her to do my acrylics. OMG.... she is incredible! Sweet ladies but their work is not too good. I asked for "coffin" shape nails and maybe 3 of the 10 are a good coffin shape. I got 6 cuts on my fingers from her using the nail file too rough. The gel paint is gooyie looking second day. My pedicure massage was great but she dug into my toes too hard and I said don't cut them and what she do, cut them too short. My toes and fingers were so sore coming out of this place. The ladies were super sweet to me but unfortunately I don't like being tortured during my spa sessions. I went in on a Tuesday evening without a appointment and they were able to accommodate me for a gel manicure with nail repair. They follow Covid restrictions, taking contact info,temperature check on entry and sanitizing several time while I was there. My nail technician was friendly and did a wonderful job, she listened to how I'd like my nails to look and made it happen. She suggested a beautiful color after I showed her my preferences. Annie has been able to shape the acrylics in a way that works with the natural curl in my nails and keeps them strong and looking like new until my next appointment. I've been going to her for ten (10) years. The salon is very clean and no nonsense - the neighborhood feel allows me to relax and be myself when I'm there. The technicians care - they treat me like they would like to be treated, like I'm their favorite customer every time I go. I've had acrylics, pink and white tips, gels, gels over acrylic, manicures and pedicures, spa pedicures, and eyebrow and lip waxing. They offer shellac in many, many colors. The sensation of a soft brush dipped in polish remover used around each nail for a more finished look is wonderful. I try to call a day ahead and have a time in mind when I call and Annie fits me in. So I asked for a full set of natural ombré nails and they told me they could do it. I even showed them a picture so they knew exactly how I wanted it. During the process I noticed how lumpy the surface was starting to look and bulky/wide my "square" shaped nails were. The outcome was horrifying as you can see for yourself in the picture. I walked in to come get my nails done. I came in asked them for a manicure to get my cuticles removed dip and design. While she was removing my cuticles I still felt a little bit of uncomfortable in my fingers that more needed to be removed I asked if she could remove or check a little bit more. She got frustrated because I asked after she removed a little I said okay I'm ready for dip and she told me to go somewhere else to get the manicure that she didn't have time she called the manager and I told her what happened I just wanted a little removed and I was already ready for the color. Her manicurist was refusing to do the work. Then the manager said she couldn't do the dip because of my hands then she said for me to go somewhere else then they where arguing in front of me then they said they would do gel for me. I picked a color I was feeling so uncomfortable the lady the manicurist I don't know what happened if she saw my phone looking them up online but she grabbed my hand and started removing a lot more skin off my cuticles that she had missed she said she could do design now after saying she wasn't when I got in I asked for that service then she said she wasn't going to do it that she wasn't going to just the gel when she settled for that. I just couldn't stay there any longer I felt so uncomfortable I had to go I paid for what they did and left. I was almost crying. I never felt so bad. Humiliated and rejected somewhere I wanted a service. I was just a walk in and getting my nails done is something nice I do for myself the only time I spend on myself. I was doing it because my dog was getting groomed because he is a sick boy and need the extra care. I'm so sad with this unprofessional service and how now a days they just put the gel on top of your nails or the dip or the acrylic and they won't clean up your nails they won't remove your cuticles only if you ask and insist. People will just look you the wrong day. Now they consider a manicure just adding nails ontop of your nail. I was humble, kind and compassionate with them. Please do not go here. Got acrylics and they were VERY poorly done. Nail tech did not put enough time and care into doing my nails. Did not look carefully while she was cutting my acrylic shape with her scissors-- she midway through cut my finger. Went to this place as a treat for myself and my daughter. What a great way to relax! I felt so pampered. The technicians are very attentive and friendly. Even when I botched the job by hitting my toe on my shoe the technician spent an extra 15 min with me to make sure that my nails were perfect before I walked out the door.
