Food came out cold, small, and soggy. Stale chips. Not to mention the size of the chicken strip, it was the size of a toddlers thumb. Who brings out the appetizer the same time as the entree?? Spent $45 on 2 meals and left the place starving, unbelievable. What a big disappointment. read more

This has by far been my worst experience at torchy's. Which it sucks because Torchys is great and I love the food and I love the margaritas but every torchies I go to the management system is terrible. I went to the this location two days ago by myself. There was not a lot of people there to begin with. I order one taco and a half order of queso. I waited 45 minutes to receive all of my items. At 30 minutes I went up to go ask about my food and they proceeded to say that food was taking long because they were short staffed which is completely understandable however you should probably note that to people when they order their food. And then I began to notice that there was a group of kids about 8 to 10 of them that were behind me that had ordered and for some reason they had already gotten all their food when I still hadn't gotten my food yet. So I patiently waited 15 more minutes and then went up again and the manager cut me off trying to explain myself and he was trying to say that food is taking long and I proceeded to say well it shouldn't take 45 minutes long for one person when I've already seen three parties that were behind me get their food. So then they happen to instantly grab my taco in the back... It was very cold cheese was not melted. And then two minutes later I got my queso. The manager never apologized and never said anything even though he's walking around the restaurants for the remainder of the time I was there. To be honest I don't know if they were so short staffed where you're waiting 40 minutes to get your food but if that's the case then you should probably not be open you need to just shut down. And the manager should know that and the manager should be going around to greet people and apologize to people for the inconvenience because I saw other people who were waiting patiently for their food and it's just a disservice to not be told in advance that the food is taking this long and then to half ass the order when we do get it. All in all, this is been the worst location I've been to. I wish management could get better at all of these Torchies locations. read more

Food is good. Best coffee, unfortunately they let it get cold and run out, even early in the morning. Otherwise it would be a 5! Very affordable, quick service (order at the counter, food is delivered to table. We enjoy it even with the poor coffee refill, I just stop at McDonald's for my coffee. (Next visit): coffee was out. Too bad they don't keep the coffee up, it is excellent. They always eventually get some after I mention it, but too late to be much good. Also they don't itemize their receipt, so no idea if they made a mistake. Also don't lost drink prices so don't know what they 9-8-19--update: usual deal about coffee. Asked if they had any fresh coffee the response was "I made it this morning" (about 2 1/2 hours ago in a hot pot). I'll stop by mcDonalds where they keep coffee fresh or make you fresh coffee. My thought is if they don't care if the coffee is good do they care about anything 11-16-19: coffee still sucks. If you like decent coffee don't come here. They keep it in.a thermos that lets it get cold and tastes old. 11-23-19: coffee was almost cold, gave up and drank ice tea. 12-8-19. The hot pot just doesn't keep the coffee warm. Really need to just not even think about coffee here, but then why do they have it if they can't keep it warm. 1-18-20: asked if coffee was fresh (at 11 am). Said "made at 8 am", no offer to make fresh Why even offer coffee? $2,50 for cold old cooffee. Coffee was cold again. They really just don't care, which makes we wonder about everything here. 2-15-20 tried coffee before ordering, cold and old, so no coffee Staff is really outstanding here read more

This is the third time in a row that the food has been horrible and soggy. I love Torchy's but the food has become a huge disappointment and the employees act like they would rather be anywhere but there. I'm super sad. read more

Probably one of my favorite taco places. They have great queso. The tacos are pretty cheap ranging from about $4-$6. They aren't large tacos, though, so if you're a big eater you may want more than one. My favorite is the chicken fajita, but I'm trying to branch out and try more. They also have good queso. I really never leave reviews, but I felt it important to get on for this. I strive in my life to be a nice person, and I believe we need more patience and civility in this world. With that said, I went to Torchy's tonight and my order was a little wrong. First time here that I have been given something a little off from my order. For reasons I am trying to figure out about myself, I was a dick about it to the guy that brought it out to me. I wasn't patient and kind like I always try to be. Even so, he was genuinely polite back to me and went to make it right. As I sat there, I realized what I had done and sincerely apologized to him. I also wanted to publicly apologize. Two points I am making. First off, I am thoroughly pleased with Torchy's food and service and would highly recommend going if you haven't yet tried them. Secondly, be kind to your servers and just people in general. No matter how badly your day is going, don't take it out on other people. If you find yourself being rude or short, stop and apologize. I ordered take out catering for 25, they delivered. Food was ready despite pwnding Terrible weather thursday morning. Food was excellent, very fair priced and came with all the fixings. Dropped in for a late lunch and had fantastic tacos! Many unusual choices and combinations, which makes it an exciting place to eat! It happen to be happy hour so we had a margarita - also a must have! Queso had a unique, spicy flavor that left the bowl empty - chips were light and crisp (with a tad too much salt). The cashier was very patient and sweet, and the person delivering the food had a lot of pride in where she worked! In a nutshell: If you want "street tacos", go get tacos on the street. Don't go to a fancy sit-down restaurant, serving uber expensive ($6 for one taco!!!) "street tacos". That's like taking prison food out of the prison, and serving it in a fancy restaurant, and charging $100 per meal. Get real. It's a STREET taco. Fajita steak and chicken meat had NO fajita seasoning or marinade -- it was just grilled chicken and beef in a tortilla. "Grilled" onions and peppers were RAW and CRUNCHY. Took WAY too long for street food to be delivered to the table -- especially when they didn't even grill it! Overall, Torchy's is a huge FAIL, and destined to go out of business very soon. read more

I visited the Edmond location on a client outing. We had two orders, my elder couple and mine. They did not receive theirs at all. We made it all the way to Arcadia lake, paid admission, and got them out to the picnic table. I returned to the restaurant. 30 minutes later. The cashier hands it to me from the back counter. i asked for the manager, who never came from the back. Another person went for her and he came back to say shes sitting in the office. a third person (bartender) came to help but unfortunately he could not make it happen. Well, we tried to stop in yesterday and order to go order after finishing up our Lowe's trip. We went in, no one was managing the front. We took the time to look at the menu. When we were ready, we tried shouting loudly, "hello?!". Waited a few more minutes. Kept hearing people in the back joking around. But no one acknowledged us being there. The 2 times I have been there has been a really long wait to order with only one cashier. There is not alot of kids items on the menu either which surprised me. Then when we got to our table it was another 30 minutes to get our food. Once we got our food, most of it was disgusting. Salsa was bad, super thin consistency. The street corn side is really not edible. Came out cold with a ton of spices and cold grated cheese on top. And the bacon bourbon marmalade that comes with the tipsy chick taco is one of the worst sauces I've ever tasted. Not really great quality for the price you pay for one taco! As I am working at visiting restaurants that I have not eaten before, and after a crap meal the day before, my son and I took a visit to Torchy's In Edmond this afternoon, and was pleasantly surprised with what I found. My son ordered two taco's, the DEMOCRAT (BARBACOA, AVOCADO, COTIJA CHEESE, CILANTRO, ONIONS & A LIME WEDGE WITH TOMATILLO SAUCE ON A CORN TORTILLA) and the BEEF FAJITA, (MARINATED & GRILLED BEEF, GRILLED ONIONS & PEPPERS, PICO DE GALLO & CHEDDAR JACK CHEESE WITH ROJA SAUCE ON YOUR CHOICE OF TORTILLA), while I ordered the GREEN CHILI PORK, (PORK CARNITAS, GREEN CHILES, COTIJA CHEESE, CILANTRO, ONIONS & A LIME WEDGE WITH TOMATILLO SAUCE ON A CORN TORTILLA ) I also ordered a basket of fresh homemade chips with the green salsa homemade and unique. All in all, each taco was unique and the taste you come across as you devour the fresh tacos and sauces is the flavor of the meat. And as my son and I shared the tacos enough to taste each we could tell the food was not ordinary and, prepared with care and filling. The hotter sauce (green) I ordered with the chips was tasty but not actually hot for either of us. That was all right as the sauce was a new experience and again excellent. I'm conflicted in my rating. I would like to give them 3 1/2 stars. The service was great, especially from 1 certain young man. I'm sorry I don't recall his name. Most of the food was excellent. My salmon taco was cooked too long and it zapped all the moisture out of what is normally a rich, flaky fish. Here is my cons list with Torchy's: 1. Chips and salsa are $3.50 My husband has a strange grudge against Mexican places who charge for chips and salsa. 2. My meal of 2 tacos (al la cart), soda, & chips and salsa came to over $17!! The meal was overall great, but for the price? No. 3. If it weren't for the 1 employee whom I found extremely helpful, I don't know that I would have loved the customer service. The others helping to deliver food were not as friendly, alert or obliging. Pros list: 1. Flavors & Freshness of the tacos are delicious!! 2. Especially the variety of salsas. I like spicy. 3. Worst. Place. Ever! We ordered our drinks at the register and after 15 minutes had to go ask the bartender to actually make them. They were expensive and came in short glasses. After another 15 minutes we went to ask when out food would be ready only to be told they didn't have our order. Once the food arrived one of the tacos was missing ingredients and the staff tried to say that's the way it's made (which was true according to the menu). They also didn't bring us one of our side items and when I asked for a refund I was told the manager was too busy and they gave us a $5 gift card. We spent over $60 for tacos and drinks and had horrible service and the manager was too busy to at least show his face!!!! I left the card on the table because I will NEVER return. Save yourself the headache and go to Fuzzy's where the service is better, the drinks are bigger and the cost is less!!!! read more

I got 2 orders of Hillbilly Queso to go the Queso was great but the chips were horrible they were rubbery and when I tried to call them they were closed or there machine that answered said they were closed. 10/10 recommend! It is SOOOO good! Just like the description; "Damn good tacos"! My favorite is the trailer park taco. Sometimes the chicken piece is a little small, but every bite is amazing! You can also make it trashy( they add queso), and it is amazing. Their beans are superb too. Chips and queso is really good too! The queso also reheats well... so no pressure in finishing! Online ordering is a breeze, and wait times are not bad either. They're pretty quick for online orders, but if you dine in it's a little slower. This was my second time at the Edmond Torchy's & it started out great. Really diverse menu, one of the best guacamole's around, warm chips $4 Monday Margaritas.....then after about 15 minutes we were curious why our tacos hadn't come out. Welllllll-our order got lost somewhere in the shuffle and the manager (wish I'd got his name) came and comp'd our meal!? Totally unexpected- he apologized and said there had been a mix up but our food was being prepared. Big thanks for extra nice customer service @Torchys Edmond Manager. I had the chicken fajita taco and it was spicy and delicious & completely satisfying. We shared the seared tuna taco and another bowl of comp'd guac! This was the worst experience I have had in any restaurant in the area. It took 15 minutes just to be spoken to at the bar and I had to flag the guy down just to make it 15 minutes. Then 10 minutes of waiting for drinks that were ordered and paid for. Finally asked for a manger and she didn't come over. However a few minutes later she over heard my frustration and turned around with an inappropriate response. She raised her voice and made an excuse! Torchy's never disappoints. Green Chili Queso is a must have! We are obsessed this. My favorite is the Trailer Park tacos on corn tortillas made "trashy". Terrible worst place I've ever eaten at. Service was rude. Food was so old and cold, no wonder it came out so quick. I ordered a quesadilla, and it came with a avocado it was SOOO old.
