My wife, son, and I have been waiting to try this place and finally got some free time this past Saturday and gave it a try. I am happy to say that we had a great experience and all left there rather full...haha. Being a Saturday afternoon, we expected it to be busy, and sure enough, the place was almost full when we arrived. We placed our orders and found a table to sit at and waited for our orders. There were only a couple of vacant tables available but the staff was busy cleaning tables and helping guests throughout the restaurant. They brought out our appetizers almost immediately and we were pleasantly surprised at both the speed and appearance of the items. We ordered the queso and chips and the elote dish. The queso had a little spice to it and was perfect for my taste buds. The elote dish had a unique flavor and was unlike any other elote dish I have had, and I say that in a positive way. It is rather rich so you have to enjoy it at a slower pace. They brought out our tacos after about 10 minutes and we were enjoying our appetizers so we didn't mind. I ordered the Ace of Spades and the Crossroads tacos. The Ace of Spades is a beast and comes on two tortillas. The hardest part was trying to pick it up to eat it. Both my tacos were very good and fulfilling to say the least. My wife had the Republican and the Trailer Park tacos and said she enjoyed both. My son had two of the Wrangler breakfast tacos and said he would get them again. The place was clean and the staff were very polite and diligent in helping the customers. We definitely had a good experience and are looking forward to going back and trying more items on the menu. read more

It's great to have Torchy's across the street off Heritage Trace Pkwy from Alliance Mall for immediate sustenance and alcoholic beverage! Love server/bartender Denise Richards as she's so pleasant and friendly and positive attitude! This location is new to me. However, I'm a longtime Taco Junkie with the app. My favorite is The Crossroads because I love the brisket and avocado. I order it every time except for the very rare exception when I get chicken fajita taco. It's not near as delectable, though. LOVE me some brisket. And it's Ketogenic the way it's served. read more

Today, on May 6th, around 4:30 pm, my husband and I visited Torchy's. The (blue/purple haired) bartender's behavior was extremely disrespectful; despite the bar being not busy with only one other person, she neglected to acknowledge us. It took over 10 minutes for my husband to finally order a drink. Her consistent ignorance led me to speak up and we finally got to order the drink. The same thing happened when we needed to close out, she kept talking to the other man at the bar and ignoring us. Get better service read more

Our first time at the new Torchy's in Alliance was good! The food was great! My small frozen strawberry margarita was very yummy! My husband ordered a lg margarita on the rocks and it had way too much ice and very little margarita. I had more margarita in my small frozen than he had in his large on the rocks drinks. Next time we will order on the rocks with minimal ice.. like half of a glass full would be good. This drink had at least 3/4 of the glass full of ice.. too much. Today I got the opportunity to try Alliance new hottest Restaurant for a booming thriving Town Center in Heritage Community. I got to admit, I went with low expectations as I like to believe I am a Taco Expert who have had the best from souther Cali and of course Mexico. I would say these tacos are great, not the best but definitely worth eating if you like fresh, and authenticity. These are large tacos, so 2 is more than enough for anyone looking to be satisfied. Their tacos have the option of corn and flour. Overall the vibe, the scenic heritage outdoor look of the town center just makes this place a great place to have a good time, enjoy some good tacos and margarita. The customer service was remarkable, and the manager being that it was grand opening week staff correctly to meet a full house and more, at all times the severs were asking if I needed anything or removing trash and empty plates. Staff was friendly. It's a decent amount of stuffing for tacos for the money paid. I gotta say, I was not really impressed though. Not a fan of their con queso. Spicy but just did not like it and the brisket taco, "Crossroad" I didn't like the combination of ingredients, like the avocado and the type of cheese used. What have y'all done to the fajita chicken? It is not like it used to be- I noticed it at another location too. It's not good at all. Please change it back. Also this location has good service but it's SO loud. Like the entire place is one big giant room instead of broken up in sections like other locations and you can't even hear yourself talk when it's busy. My husband and I tried going here for a date a few weeks ago and we couldn't even talk the entire time because it felt like I had to shout for him to hear me. The rest of the food we got was alright. Honestly Torchys used to be better a few years ago. I bet it got bought out by a large company and they started cutting costs. Unfortunately that's when quality standards go down. 2nd time at this location. First time was good. This time was like we weren't even at a Torchys. Tortilla tasted store bought. Potatoes were not cooked. Tacos were not even warm enough to melt the cheese and the bacon was disgusting blobs of fat. In the chorizo egg and cheese the eggs were a lot different than they normally are. I love me some Torchys. Being from Austin I know Torchys inside and out. I've been to the Southlake location more times than I care to admit so you have to know how thrilled I was when one opened in our backyard. My husband and I went for our favorite taco spot and I ordered my usual tacos trashy style and our queso usual. I couldn't eat it. The queso was way spicer than it should have been. I couldn't eat my tacos and had to toss it. I am so disappointed. The staff was busy so I didn't get to tell the about it. I'm hoping it's just a new staff learning the recipes so we can try again but it won't be anytime soon. read more
