Went out for anniversary dinner and all just perfect, perfect host, server and chef. All their dishes are amazing. It's so many choices to pick so we order as many as we can. All is very tasty and price reasonably. It's a huge skewers compare to normal yakitori. Their rating says it all so they don't need introductions. Have at em. All is amazing specially their Foie gras

This place is definitely a good experience as an introduction to someone who hasn't done a Japanese Omakase and/or someone that isn't into raw fish. The reason why is because this is an Omakase where the main ingredient they utilize is chicken and the price point isn't as high compared to sushi omakases. The best thing about Omakase is that you don't have to really look at the menu. The chef will serve you items that they suggest and you may even be able to try some new things. They will take you on a journey through different types of flavors and textures with the base of it primarily chicken. The omakase alone is pretty good, but you can also order additional dishes if you like. You may even come across something that you like and you can even order extra of that also. With the omakase and maybe one extra dish, I was pretty full so I wouldn't suggest to over order from the very beginning. We did the omakase with a sake pairing which is pretty nice when it comes to omakases. The drinks kind of bring you on a journey of flavors that can help pair with the food you're eating. Not to mention you also get to drink and eat at the same time which is always nice. We had a reservation right when they opened so it was pretty empty and chill. We noticed that some people didn't have a reservation, but since they weren't booked, they were able to seat them. The ambiance is pretty cool especially when you sit at the bar. You get to watch the chef grill skewers which can be similar to watching a bartender make several of your drinks.

Favorite chicken yakitori specialty restaurant, small and hard to find a seat. Japanese quality, our favorite yakitori place in town. The only minus is that they don't offer the wooden tofu serving tool any more.

Food: yakitori and more: Thigh - little overcooked Wing - get Mushroom - get Ground chicken - get Japanese potato - must get Grilled mochi - skip Agedashi tofu in paitan soup - get Scallop w/garlic butter Sake steamed clams - skip Grilled rice ball w/ground chicken - skip Mango pudding Complimentary barley tea serves at the end I felt like everything was just a bit too salty. The standout was the sweet potato. The big loser was the sake steamed clams. Waaaayy too much sake not fully cooked off so really tasted the alcohol big time. Service: warning - one annoying thing was I called and left a voicemail for a reservation and no one called me back. So I called back to confirm and the gal on the phone was like "oh yeah we don't listen to the messages." Um, what? Well then why set up a machine that takes messages???! So good thing I kept calling until a person picked up the phone as they don't have a website set up either to take reservations and yes, you NEED a reservation if you want to get in. But our service was great once we were at the restaurant. Ambiance: really feels like you are in Tokyo at a yakitori restaurant as they cook the skewers in front of you on the very special coals that make it taste delicious! Definitely recommend requesting to sit at the bar when you make a reservation. Fun to watch the magic happen. Not sure I'll be back as it's just not as good as in Roppongi, and you can only eat so much salt!

I've always been curious about this place because I pass by it every time I'm in the plaza getting tea. I was lucky enough to get a walk in seat at the counter during one of my recent trips to Vegas. I wasn't sure I could finish all the food from the omakase course since I arrived at 9PM, but hey, it's Vegas - why not go for it. All the dishes were really good. My overall experience felt like I was transported back to Japan with the level of service and quality of food. Although I usually eat my food as they are presented, I did try some of the sauce and salt they provided. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're craving yakitori. The omakase was only $80.

A few months ago, I went on a last minute road trip with my friends to Utah and stopped by Vegas on the way. We ate at this really really fancy restaurant that was extremely expensive called Raku and my friend mentioned a few things about going to the wrong location. Then we went to this location and were amazed at the food and it was wild because the price was 2-3x cheaper, but a lot of the items were the same from the other location! Then, my friend called me a week ago and told me I should to go to Vegas with him. I thought about it for about 30 minutes and after realizing I could get my flight reimbursed in miles and stay at his friend's condo, it might be worth the trip. I asked him if we were going to do anything, and he said nothing of substance, so I was intrigued, but what made me decide to go is when I asked him if we could eat here. He said yes, so I went! We got so many skewers, from chicken hearts (so good), gizzard, tail, skin, sweet potato, onion, rice cake (which was amazing to dip into the scallop, along with the mochi too) and okra. Then we got their special, which was chicken nuggets, and their chicken kaarage, which is a showstopper due to the juiciness and crunchiness of the skin. The scallop was completely to die for and had so much flavor. The smoked chicken dish had a unique smoke flavor to it that was really good, but I forgot to mix in the spicy ingredient that it was supposed to mix it with, which probably would've taken it to the next level. The pork cheek, my friend liked a lot and I thought it was okay, but the filet mignon or beef dish was quite a treat. I wanted to get these little fishy things I got last time, but I don't think they're on the menu anymore. The chef cooks everything on demand and brings it out in the order it's best to be eaten in and like any robata type place, you get so much flavor packed in every bite. Not to mention the cooking times and precision and quite flawless. The service here is great and you get a really good ambiance of the place as well, with chopstick holders made out of charcoal, unique dips like a green tea salt and so much more. They give you a free tea at the end of your meal too! This is definitely a place worth checking out.

Love this place! But making a reservation is hard but necessary. They hardly ever answer their phone. The best way to make a reservation is actually to go there which I know is super inconvenient for people who don't live in Vegas. But it's worth it! Love this place!!

5 stars Heart valve (hatsumoto) - this isn't something offered everywhere Foie gras with duck - perfection Pomegranate sorbet - one of my favorites 4 stars Agedashi tofu - different from what I'm used to but I liked it in the soup Chicken oyster - a perfect bite Chicken thighs - great sauce Grilled prawn Rice ball - I'm not usually a rice ball person, but I enjoy the way they grill it here Brown sugar pudding - it was like a cloud in texture Mango pudding - super refreshing 3 stars Chicken skin - more like a 3.5; some was good but some wasn't too crispy Cartilage Gizzards - this is more my wife's thing Popcorn cartilage - I can only have too much cartilage, lol Miso sea bass - it's okay, but I don't think it's worth $38 Foie gras don - the grilled foie gras is better -Ramune (Japanese soda) is something different and worth the try

This place was very good. Raku is a small restaurant featuring shareable appetizers and small dishes. They get busy so reservations are recommended. We were lucky to get in without them. My party and I shared several dishes. From the grill, we enjoyed the homemade chicken nuggets (my fave), wings (also my fave), chicken thighs, chicken breast with skin, ground chicken on a skewer with poached egg (another fave), sweet potato, Japanese yam with bonito flakes, grilled mochi wrapped in seaweed, and mushrooms (which were really good). Note that each item is good for one person O we ordered 4 of everything if we all wanted to try. Other items we had included the deep fried tofu, straw smoked chicken, diced Kobe beef (another fave), scallops on shell, pautan ramen, grilled rice ball (a fave), and please try the brown sugar pudding - so good! While I had my favorites, all the dishes were flavorful. Also, the service was friendly and efficient.

お客さんを舐めてる。 The service here was extremely unprofessional. It's a very small place with only five tables in total, yet there were three servers constantly "busy." Despite that, no one checked on us or even asked if we needed water. Halfway through the meal, my child had no water left. I tried to get someone's attention, but there was no staff in sight. Ironically, the water was finally brought over right when we were about to pay. At that point, I told the server we didn't need it anymore, thank you.

We were trying to go one day, but we didn't realize that this place closed early. However, we were able to catch the manager/owner who gave us a tour of the place, how there was a speakeasy in the back, and generally what they serve. He was SO sweet that he offered us flan and a voucher for chips for our next visit. It definitely made us want to come back because of the hospitality he provided. We ended up coming back the next day since my SIL and BIL were leaving that day and driving back to the Bay Area. We decided to come when Gyu+ opened and there was NO line yet. We were the first ones in line and we were able to get what we wanted. There is seating in the main room, which are high chairs. There is seating in the back of the restaurant as well. However, it is a smaller place so I wouldn't recommend large parties. They did mention they have another location open, but we ended up coming here since it was close to our hotel. I ended up getting the following: -1 Steak Sando $23.99 -1 Shrimp Sando $21.99 -2 orders of Togarashi Potato Chips (free, but $5.99 each usually) We got everything to-go since our SIL and BIL needed to have their rental dropped off by a certain time, so we ended up eating everything in the car. REVIEW OF EACH ITEM -Steak Sando - this was delicious! It had a savory sauce that were in pipets to squeeze out on top of your sandwich. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was tender! You didn't have to constantly chew the steak which I absolutely loved. The milk bread they used was fresh and soft, but lightly toasted. These are super filling, so I was only able to finish 2/3 halves. -Shrimp Sando - this was delicious! The shrimp patty itself was lightly crisp, but it was packed with flavor. It also had pipets of sauce which complimented everything perfectly. -Togarashi Potato Chips (free) - these were light, crisp, and airy! I really enjoyed having it with my meal since I was looking for something fried to pair with the sandwiches, and this did just that. -Vanilla Chantilly Flan (free) - I believe this also had a vanilla Chantilly cream and OH MY GOOOD. This was SOOO DELICIOUS. The flan was made PERFECTLY and the Chantilly cream was delicious and light. It was SO addicting and I dream about it most days. I'll definitely be back because the quality of these sandos were delicious and filling. The pricing is not bad for what you get, and the owner + workers here are so warm hearted!! Thank you again for making the end of our Vegas trip amazing!!

I ended up purchasing: Tonkatsu Donburi, $13.75 prior to tax- This bowl was pretty big and really a portion for 2 people. I really wished I had ordered one of the mini donburi bowls instead since my husband ended up deciding he didn't want to share my meal and ended up ordering food at another vendor in the food hall. The bowl had a nice large piece of chicken katsu, plenty of rice, egg, onions, shredded seaweed and a sweet soy sauce based sauce. I really liked it. -------------------------------- (Total= $14.90 after tax) Wait time was about 10 minutes. I just had to wait for my number to be called before heading over to get my tray. Overall, I had a great experience and would consider trying Saku again the next time I am visiting this food hall.

We just had a huge meal from another resto nearby, so I decided I just wanted to pick up some food for later snackies. The restaurant is indeed small, with just a handful of tables. I have to try a sit-down meal here one day. I got pretty much 1-2 each of the available onigiri. I didn't see some of the ones in the photos I've seen on Yelp, but a good variety nonetheless. I wonder if they had it for lunch but ran out? Anyway.. on to the onigiri. I never knew rice could be so tasty! It was just sticky, savory, and satisfying. I agree with some comments that there could be more protein and an improvement in the ratio but the rice was enjoyable as well, my taste buds didn't suffer. My favorite onigiri was the salmon & ikura, it was sweet, savory, salty, minty.. how can something so simple, be so complex in flavors? I was already full off 1-2 onigiri but my gosh, I wanted to open them all up and try them all at once. These would be amazing snackies for a road trip or a movie.

Our waitress and waiter were both very nice. Service is great here. I have no complaints regarding that! I started by ordering their Hot Tea Pot in the Genmaicha Tea, which is refillable ($3). The tea was good. I must've had it refilled about three times. The husband got the Asahi draft. For the food orders, we started with the cholegi salad, takoyaki, and chicken karaage. While the cholegi salad was good, I'd have to say I've had better chicken karaage elsewhere. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to skip the chicken karaage next time. It was lacking in flavor so I asked for table salt to sprinkle on top of it. For the main dish, our party ordered beef sukiyaki udon, tendon, tuna and avocado poke don, nabeyaki udon, and kake udon. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. For dessert, we got everything that was on the menu so that we could sample them. I particularly enjoyed their matcha pudding in that it was more than what the picture showed. There were layers of azuki beans and black sugar syrup underneath the green pudding. This one was my favorite! The sweet potato ice cream was the party's favorite. Overall, I really like the vibe of this restaurant. I'll be back again to try other things on the menu that I didn't get to try this time.

Affordable and authentically homemade. Everything tastes as good as it looks and food portions are huge. Cashier is a very nice lady and the man packing the foods up is helpful. The market isn't located in a popular spot, so it's very easy to miss when passing by, but the old lot still has this hidden gem. There's a gift store inside now. The microwave and trash bin along with tables and chairs are inside the gift store section. Clean look. Aisles are organized. Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box $11.99 is still very good and fulfilling. Tonkatsu Pork Plate $11 is still unbeatable. It may take a while to wait for your order since they don't have many employees inside the kitchen. All takeout food items are worth it. Foods are kept hot. Pickled side dishes and beverages are all very good. Must love these small businesses in Las Vegas. Rewards program keeps customers returning and getting more cash backs earned for every purchase which can be instantly redeemable. We love visiting each time and the place is really a hidden gem for your hotel takeout needs. Fully satisfied. Good people here. Always positive.

We were in Chinatown again (go figure) and were going to have lunch and go grocery shopping. The…read moreoriginal plan was to go for an AYCE sushi meal, but changed our mind since we just didn't want to eat that much. So we went to Tora, we hadn't been here for ages and since they have several of my favorite dishes, we figured why not... Ashley was our server and was running the register as well. Seating was quick, lively music vibe, perfect for lunch. We ordered takoyaki (IYKYN what these are) as an app. Some of the best I've had . My meal was the "hire" katsu teishoku (teishoku means set or complete meal) with cold water noodles . The "hire" katsu was more robust and a bit fattier than the plain katsu. The meal comes with a shredded cabbage salad, a small piece of tofu wit sauce . Another feature that lends to the authenticity is the little grinder bowl with sesame seeds and the muddler. You pulverize your sesame and then they bring a pitcher of tonkatsu sauce to add. My pork was fatty delicious the panko was light and crispy, the cold water noodles (a must have in summer time in Japan was great, good size serving on a plastic fake bamboo style made with a few ic cubes and a small bowl of soy to dip.... So cooling. I also ordered a side of curry to dip my katsu in. My dining companion had the tempura style shrimp teishoku ... with a side of rice and udon soup. The shrimp (5) were huge and totally crispy. We were stuffed when it was time to leave. By the way they serve alcohol, but we didn't partake. I imagine this place is pretty lively in the evening.. Didn't ask for a military discount. Tab was $ 103. 00 including 20% tip. Well worth it!

Although both were breaded and deep fried, I thought the chicken katsu was flakier than the tonkatsu. It was lightly breaded, not thick and heavy, crispy. The curry was tasty, not spicy. The chicken katsu was cooked well, no skin, soft and juicy not dry. I got the Hire Katsu (pork tenderloin) vs the Rosu katsu (pork loin). The Hire Katsu is leaner and melt-in-your mouth tenderness. The Rosu katsu is fattier and juicier. Both came with Fukujinzuke which is a pickled daikon (turnip)...sweet, slight tang and crunchy. It was tasted good with the curry. I think it goes well with curry if you like this type of vegetable.

Everything we ate tasted was great! We ordered so much food.. My favorites: blue fin sashimi, uni pasta, fried tentacles, and chicken skin skewers. Yuzu mule was such a refreshing cocktail to wash everything down. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Fortunately, the wait was only about 10 minutes, which was surprisingly quick. I ordered the soft-shell crab, baked green mussels, and BBQ ribs with steamed rice. My son ordered the yoshu ramen and fried rice. The food came out fairly quickly, but I noticed that the baked mussels never arrived. When I asked our waitress about it, she said the kitchen was backed up. However, after waiting more than 30 minutes and already finishing the rest of our meal, it felt like the order may have simply been forgotten. What disappointed me most was the lack of an apology. The waitress even asked if I still wanted the mussels at that point. I was ready to cancel the order, but Kyo stepped in and tried to make things right. Thanks to his efforts, the mussels arrived about 10 minutes later. Unfortunately, when the mussels finally arrived, I was disappointed again. They were prepared very differently from the baked green mussels I'm used to getting at restaurants in Los Angeles. They were quite spicy, which wasn't mentioned, and the flavor just wasn't what I expected. After waiting more than 40 minutes for them, they definitely weren't worth the wait. Overall, the food was decent, and the restaurant was busy and energetic, but the service mishap and the disappointing mussels left me with mixed feelings about the experience. I do appreciate Kyo's effort to make things right, as he was the one bright spot in an otherwise frustrating situation.
