    The best gyros!
    Dave H.

Awesome gyros! Sliced nice and thin and homemade fresh! They give generous portions and their creamy tzatziki sauce. Order it with a side of rice and salad or fries. I just wished they were open later as they are open early and close early. Great Greek salad too!

Ah-mazing!! Was craving a sando and after perusing a few menus was drawn to the reviews and the idea of a garlic chicken sandwich. I called and headed over. Never paid much attention to this location before. Boy was I sleeping! The man making it rang me up and told me he cooks the chickens in the morning. Grill to be specific. And mixes w the sauce. Adds pickles and tomatoes and voilà! He said it was simple but the best garlic chicken sandwich I'll find! He did not lie! First. It was warm. The bread was perfectly crispy and flaky (it's messy. If you're a car eater, beware). The chicken was perfectly cooked and the simplicity of the ingredients works SO well together! I ate the first half before I could stop myself! Me being cheese positive I thought that was the only thing I might want on it but that's just my inner LDL calling out. It's perfect! Even when I ate the other half later, I'd just take a bite and say ok that's it! Ha! That didn't last long once I started it either! I will be back! Use cash so you can tip as I wasn't given the option w my card. I didn't know there was a category for this, but this place wins. Hands down!!! Do yourself a flavor!

TLDR: It has a comfy atmosphere, a kind owner, and food with strong flavors. I drove over here around lunchtime on a weekday a couple of weeks ago. I managed to find a great parking spot out front too. I wasn't sure what to order, so the owner recommended the Beef Sausage (Soujouk) sandwich after asking me what kind of meat I liked. I admit that it did take a pretty long time for the food to be ready, but maybe that was because he was the only person working and the line of people coming in for takeout was slowly increasing. I couldn't stay to dine in, so I took it with me to go and ate it in the car. Although it was a bit pricey for a sandwich, the flavor was really good. The beef sausage sandwich had a thin, crispy bread, but somehow soaked up all the flavor on the inside. The meat had a bit of a spicy kick to it that was balanced well with the acidity of the pickles and sweetness of the tomatoes. The sandwich was so warm and made my entire car smell delicious! I was finding it a bit difficult not to eat while driving! I am really curious about the rest of the menu items. I would definitely come back to try them! Maybe next time I can actually dine in too.

Torino sandwich's just provided us with the best felafel sandwich we've had in years from anywhere in the world we've traveled! And there garlic chicken and fries are not to be missed at all don't be fooled by what looks like simple foods the flavors are deeply complex and deliciously inviting to come back for again and again!

It was my friend and I first time at Torinos and i'm glad we stopped by for lunch!! It's a hidden gem in Pasadena run by a family business. The place is small and simple old school restaurant but a mediterranean version of a diner. The service was amazing and quick - super friendly. Wasn't feeling a sandwich so I got the mix lamb/beef platter because they didn't have chicken. Let me tell you this is one of the best gyro plate I have had in Pasadena. The meat was freshly cooked it was thinly sliced and juicy just mouthwatering and flavorful. It came with the thin sliced of meat with fries, some sliced simple pickles to nimble on, yogurt, and covered on top with pita bread. They also provided another small box of fresh Greek feta salad. The quality was everything and so tasty!! Will be back for the platter again !!

Great hidden gem! I wish I'd found this place sooner! Family run business, very friendly. The best gyros wraps I've ever had. So good. Also very reasonable prices. I also recommend the Philly cheese steak sandwiches.

Sadly, the quality and quantity of food has been going down these past 2 years. Prices keep going up which I understand and that's not my complain. In spite of all that I still went, not as frequently as in the past. But the last time I went on a Monday around noon, the greek salad was probably a day or two old. It was inedible so I had to toss it. I realized it after I got home. The beef kabobs were so thin and small, not worth the price anymore. This place used to be known for having long lines (but it moves fast) but not anymore and I can see why. I get a feeling they are not interested in keeping the place open for much too long. It's bittersweet since I live in the area and it used to be one of my go to places.

The food is absolutely delicious, the portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable and the guy who took our order was so kind and helpful. I couldn't believe how flavorful everything was! I got the chicken Shawarma and now I won't go anywhere else for Mediterranean. I live in Glendale so I've got a lot of Mediterranean restaurants around me; I've been to a handful of them. They're family owned and operated and had a bunch of yummy sounding options. I got their falafel, dolmas, cheese and meat boreg, chicken shawarma wrap, filet mignon and chicken thigh combo plate, and baklava to try. This was my first time ever trying falafels, dolmas, and boregs and wow. The falafel had a Fun crunchy outside with a crumbly yet not dry inside and full of aromatic flavors. The dolmas were really good too. Moist and herby. The boregs kinda reminded me of empanadas in both flavors and textures from the crisp fried outer pastry to savory fillings. The chicken shawarma wrap was stuffed with tender marinated chicken, fries, a bit of tomato and pepper and schmearing of creamy garlicy spread, and came with a side of refreshing cucumber yogurt salad. The best part was when that pita soaked up all the other juices of the chicken to make it even more flavorful. The meats in the combo plate had a nice char, were super savory, flavorful, well seasoned but were a bit overcooked and dry. But that's ok cuz that's where the super flavorful dips came in. There was the refreshing cucumber salad, smooth creamy nutty hummus, and pungent garlicy sauce that paired perfectly with everything. It also came with rice, an herby bright tabouleh salad, pickled turnips and crunchy fresh onions. The baklava was MASSIVE and was a bit dry and hard but had plenty of crisp pastry layers, crunchy nuts, was amazingly sweet and cinnamony. Overall this place is pretty good. Boreg $14 Falafel $8 Dolma $7 Chicken shawarma wrap $17 Combo beef filet and chicken thigh $28 Baklava $4

My first impression was how friendly everyone is, both employees and customers. I also noticed the aroma of mesquite smoke, which is a principle difference between their food and many others that use gas grills. The wonderful lady at the counter welcomed me and suggested the split kabob plate with half each beef and chicken. She also gave me the lunch and dinner menus to peruse. I grabbed a table and didn't wait long before my order was ready. Lots of rice pilaf, hummus, and tabouli. Additionally, there was a portion of garlic sauce. The portion of meat was equally impressive. I was still afflicted with recent dental work so I had to eat slowly and carefully. Their food is very crushable if not for that. They also quarter the pita bread which allows easier dipping or making mini wraps. Anyhow, I'm sure I'll be back sooner than later to try the Lula (aka koubideh), lamb, and other unique house specials. The essence of wood smoke is especially good, so that's a high mark. 4.5 overall My only criticisms are the rice could have been warmer, and the sauce more garlicky.
