I just finished my lunch here and I am blown away! This all started when T-mobile Tuesday had a promotion for coupons around the area and I stumbled upon this sandwich spot. I came here on a Saturday morning, and it was fairly quiet with free street parking. It's an unassuming sandwich shop with falafel, shawarma, beef sausage, beef tongue, chicken kabob, French fries sandwich, and more. As a vegetarian I got the grilled vege and hummus sandwich and a falafel plate. They have more vege options too including a white cheese sandwich, lebneh and vege sandwich, and falafel sandwich. 1. The roasted vege and hummus sandwich was really tasty. It was thin but had a good ratio of pita exterior to veges. The veges were surprisingly very flavorful...definitely not the standard grilled veges. Super good with a hint of olives. The hummus is so obviously made fresh as well 2. The plate I think is such an amazing deal because it came with SO much food. There was a Greek salad, pita, 5-6 falafel balls on a bed of French fries, a small tabbouleh salad with some pickles, and fresh hummus. Hummus was so creamy and delicious. There was ample tahini on the side for the falafel and OH MY the falafel...freshly fried with a crispy exterior. The interior was flavorful and SO SOFT it kind of just melted away in my mouth. I am literally floored, because this place is affordable and so delicious. They have tapatio, Tabasco, and ketchup on the side too. The owners are also very friendly. This is a mom and pop shop that is deserving of support in my opinion. I will definitely be back. read more

Ordered a few sandwiches a week ago and came back next week to order a bunch more for my family. I've tried the beef tounge, beef shawarma, and garlic chicken and I think my favorite has to be the shawarma! The angus beef and tahini is rich and super flavorful. The other 2 sandwiches are pressed and the bread is super fresh and tasty. Definitely coming back! Also a big fan of the falafel. The plate is a lot of food for the price. read more

Doesn't look like much when you walk past it, but a gem awaits. It is a family owned restaurant that dishes out made-to-order sandwiches, salads, and plates. We ordered the beef shawarma sandwich, beef sausage sandwich, which was recommended by the owner, and the chicken kabab plate. The sandwiches were delicious, but the beef sausage sandwich was our favorite of the two. The chicken, on the chicken plate, was juicy and well seasoned. The rice and hummus were exceptional. I ordered through grub hub and cancelled that very quickly, I wanted my order to be ready at 1 and they said ok 1 to 120. So cancelled and ordered direct. Moral is to order direct and the small business owners get to keep more $$ in their pockets. I called in my order asked to be ready at 1 and it was, thank you for that. Got the beef tongue sandwich with large fries, the fries are the skinny kind but they have good taste to them, almost crispy not there tho. The sandwich was a good size, about an 8 inch a but thin, but the bread is crisp and fresh. The beef was good as I tried it on its own, but in the sandwich the veggies are strong and you taste the mint more than the meat. But I'll say this after I was done with it, it definitely left a nice aftertaste lingering. The sauce was tart as well, I feel it wasn't mayo but you can see for yourself. I'll be back! read more

I love this place. The falafel is maybe the best I've had in Los Angeles. Labneh sandwich is amazing too, I get it when they run out of falafel (often). Wish I could eat here every day, but alas their operating hours mirror my work hours perfectly so only get to eat here if I'm calling out sick. My friend and I went there for the first time at lunch today. It's a small momma/poppa shop, which has been there for decades. I am really shocked that this place has a 4.7 average review. I guess these reviewers never had good middle eastern food or the reviews were left many years ago, when the restaurant must have been better. It's also quite possible they were having a bad day or we just ordered the wrong things ? We had a Restaurant.com discount voucher that they did not accept; even though the coupon says clearly "Does not expire". The area is not bad; just a few blocks to the west there are lots of restaurants and places to walk. The restaurant itself is rundown. The cover picture on yelp must have been from many years ago. Also half of the items on the menu they were out of. My friend asked for Lule Kebab plate (which was listed on their board menu) and she had to go in the back and check if they had any. It wasn't like they were busy with so many lunch orders that they simply ran out. We were the only ones at the restaurant from 11:30 to 12:45. I guess the word must be out that this is not the best place to eat in that area. I ordered the Falafel plate and my friend ordered the Lule Kebab plate. OMG, it took 40 minutes to get our food. My friend made a joke - that they must be marinating his lule kebab. The plates came with rice, pita bread, homus, and a small Greek salad. I liked the Greek salad and the homus; the rice was okay; the falafels tasted stale. It might have been old oil they were frying them in ? My friend thought the Greek salad lacked flavor and everything else was average, including his Lule Kebab a bit too salty. Total bill was $50 something + tip, which included a yogurt drink and small Pellegrino for each of us. The food and the service are fantastic. I always get the garlic chicken sandwich which reminds me of how they make them back in Lebanon. Highest compliment I can give because that's where I've had the best Middle Eastern food. Fries are crispy and the Greek salad is very generous with the olives and feta. I'm going to try the soujuk and when I get the courage, the tongue which comes highly recommended. The menu has good variety and fhe staff will answer any question and recommend things based on what you like. And if you're curious about something, they may even give you a sample. Finally tried this place out. I had the Philly Cheesesteak sammy. It was good, almost like a panini. Their bread is good and crunchy. It took a while to make though. Hole-in-the-wall place with a nice vibe and friendly service. Food is a bit slow in coming but it's OK; the gyros are kind of salty and dry but the tzatziki sauce helps out. I guess they do quite a bit of catering. Will probably try a few of the other items on the menu. read more
