An update from the 5 stars from last year...I invited some friends for dinner that had not there been. We, unforunately, were seated on the patio at 6 PM. The flies (from adjacent rodeo grounds) were so horific the 4 people next to us were covering their heads with napkins, but were finally move to a table inside. The couple next to use had 3 of Torme's fly table helipcopters going, but to no avail. Barry, instead of investing in the new restaurant, figure out a solution to the patio. Close it if you have to. I will never go back, although I have been to Torme at least 10 times for lunch (no longer available). My friends will never go back, and I'm pretty sure the 6 people I mentioned above will never go back. read more

First time diner at Torme found it via Yelp. The ambiance is quaint (a small converted home) inside but they also have outdoor seating. The owner mentioned that he is looking for a bigger place but don't let that stop you from dropping in to enjoy a nice dinner. My wife ordered the Fettuccine De Spinachi Con Salmon Affumicato and I had the Salmone Pesto Giardino. The Fettuccine was tossed in olive oil, garlic, pine nuts, pancetta, cracked pepper, roasted tomatoes, and house smoked salmon. The Salmone Pesto Giardino is chargeilled, contains heirloom and roasted tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, and pine nuts served with risotto and fresh vegetables. To say both dishes were excellent would be an understatement. My salmon dish was one of the best salmon I've ever had and the risotto was perfectly cooked (always a challenge). Saving a little for later was difficult and when boxing the salmon it was literally falling apart on the fork. The Fettuccine was perfectly tossed with olive oil, the salmon in that dish was again delightful along with the rest of the ingredients. Our server was customer focused and excellent as was the rest of the staff. Finding out it was our anniversary, they offered us any desert item and we chose the cheesecake which was awesome. Not to deny the bartender - he was spot on with his mixology skills. All in all this put an exclamation point on our 34th anniversary. For future visits to Prescott, they are on the top of our list. We went for an Anniversary dinner. Very small and crowded facilities. We had a nice time, but the service felt rushed, the food was average and the atmosphere noisy and crowded (not lively, tables to close and stuffy). Great place with great staff and really great food. Scallops are amazing as is the twists they have on some of the salads. Pastas are great as well. I love coming here. This is a relatively new restaurant and Italian in Prescott. I heard through the Yelpvine that it was pretty good. So had to give it a try though we have very high standards since we make from scratch our own pasta and sauces. They are only open Monday to Friday leaving the weekends off and according to our server it's because the owner also has another local place that serves Spain is Tapas. I have to say I've had a bad experience there on account that they don't know what chorizo from Spain is and they tried to tell me that some boneless beef short ribs were slightly w cooked for hours when the inside was grey tough chewy meat! Ok nuff about da past. The place is simple design and open airy which is great and a big area of outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside though it was still warm at 5:00pm. We were not in the sun and the seating eg tables were great. Loved the atmosphere. Our waitress Zoey was so positive about the menu and place she has work for the owner at his other place was totally sold. Which to me says a lot. I love employee positivity and commitment to their jobs. They serve a terrific focaccia. Made from scratch. Actually everything is made from scratch which is 5/5. They had a small carrot salad of honey a touch of tarragon a bit of mustard which was very good. As well as goat cheese mixed with herbs and spices really delicious. A Boursin. Ok it's Italian with a French flare. I like that personally since I'm more than half French. Service a 5/5 We ordered the the sage brown scallops on risotto. The scallops were perfectly seared and the perfect texture. Ok I like mine more raw because I like most all seafood raw. Yes I know I'm part shark. The risotto was perfect very creamy in texture and the brown butter was d flavor was decadent. A definite 5/5 We also ordered the linguini funghi which uses their made from scratch wheat noodles and an assortment of mushrooms and flavors delicately sautéed into a great pasta dish. Must be a mushroom lover. 5/5 We also ordered the sherries mushroom ravioli. They are handmade, like everything else from scratch. The sauce is a ver light cream sauce. Which is a more traditional real Italian dish. Another 5/5. Ok I could downgrade slightly because the ravioli pasta was slightly, very slightly undercooked. But i look for perfection and this place is striving for it. Atmosphere, service, food, and wine were all 5/5. About the wine there menu is simple and great. You can purchase a single glass at the same price as the bottle so that my fellow goodies is great! Ok why four stars vs five. We sat outside initially because it was a nice evening and very airy and inside was a bit stuffy with little air flow but nice decor. Well they are located next to the fair grounds where the longest running rodeo happens every independent day weekend. The animals horse cattle and crazy cowboys. Oh I was raised on a ranch. Attract every fly around. Well the rodeo is over and the flies have found a nearby home. The evening manager Zack was more than polite and courteous he moved us indoors because the flies were overwhelming us and trying to eat our scallops!!!! Not good we moved inside and it was better but steamy in temperature. Hey folks we live in Hawaii and never had it this bad!! Well they are working the issue. Eg get better ac inside and better zappers outside. This is the only issues. That will either be fixed or fail the place. I'm confident they'll resolve the issue until then bring your fly swatters. read more

Surprisingly, Prescott has quite a few really good Italian restaurants. Rosa's, Limoncello, Papas - all of which I should review, and all would be four stars. Torme however is the only five star Italian food in town. From the same people who brought us El Gato Azul so it's no surprise that, like El Gato Azul the main dining area is Al Fresco. The food is superb, ambiance fun, and service was excellent. If you weren't looking for it you'd miss it, on the corner of a residential street, and when they're busy you may have to park in the grocery lot across the street. Also, be aware that there is a 3% service charge automatically added to your bill without asking if we are paying with cash or credit card. Moving forward my recommendations would be to be clear before presenting the bill regarding the 3%. We've been to Torme 3-4 times, heard inconsistent reviews, and actually satisfaction in our dinner group was mixed. Tuesday, 5/20 we go out to dinner with friends. I'm GF & DF. Waitress was good, I don't blame her (for the most part). Salad came with cheese on top, like all the salads. she should have caught that. I ordered lambchops, she talked to the chef and mine would be made with a GF/DF raspberry gastric (think it was a berry jelly out of a jar). Everyone's dinner arrived, she went back to get mine and apparently another server took my GF lamb chops. So I waited, and waited....She offered me another glass of wine, I said "yes, on the house", she agreed. Waited..... Finally my dinner comes out, other 3 at table were trying to eat slow, but were at least 1/2 done with their meals. I try 'sawing' into it with the large serrated meat knife, but it was not easy. my husband said 'I don't think that's cooked enough', he felt it with his finger and it was cold. So we tell the waitress, disgusted she apologizes & takes it back. After about 5 minutes, as everyone else is eating, I went to find her again to ask if I could at least have the rice and vegetables that were on the side so I could eat while the rest of my table ate. 5 min's later she comes with my hole plate. Seemed cooked and hot, it was good but, too late. Waitress apologized and said they would do a dessert on the house, I said I expected everything to be comped! And so it was. read more

This was such a sweet little unassuming spot. We almost didn't go because we were there for an early dinner and it didn't look like much from the outside. BUT on the inside, it was a darling little upscale bistro vibe. Very appropriate for a nice date. We went with our 15 yr old daughter. We had three entrees plus dessert. Very Disappointed with Our Meals!! My husband, two friends and I went to Torme for dinner last night. The service was excellent, the venue is pleasant and the food was extremely average. It was so disappointing as we had really been looking forward to coming here. I ordered Linguini Al Funghi, which was described as "Wheat Linguini, Walnut Pesto, Exotic Mushrooms Asparagus and Kale with a Lemon Gremolata". It was heavy and bland. There were two tiny 1/8" slices of asparagus; a few mushrooms and no pesto was to be tasted. I was anticipating pasta with pesto and no cream sauce and what I got was a heavy dish with no pesto and swimming in a cream sauce. My husband had Fettuccine Spinach with Salmon. He described it as "just average". Both of us had at least half our dinner left and neither of us took home our leftovers. Many of the dishes are laden with cream, cheese or both and are heavy. We wanted a nice place to go to for our anniversary while in Prescott, and we are so glad that we found Torme. We were very impressed and we will be back!! It was the PERFECT date night & special occasion place. The ambiance was wonderful. We sat on the patio/garden area and enjoyed the dim lit area and the sound of cicadas while we ate our dinner. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer and it was very well presented -- it also tasted delicious. For our entree we had the Fettucine with Smoked Salmon, and it has to be one of the BEST pasta dishes I've ever tasted. The service was also wonderful. Our waitress (I cannot remember her name) was very attentive and made sure that we had all we needed. She gave great recommendations and informed us about menu selections & the nights specials - prior to us making a choice. She was also a wonderful photographer for us and helped us capture memories to remember our first wedding anniversary. We will be back! I'd give 10 stars!!!! read more

Absolutely delicious! The pasta was homemade and you could feel the love/attention to detail in every bite. The ambiance was comforting and very relaxing. What a hidden gem! Great options for indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside and it was quiet and pleasant, surrounded by plants. They make all their pastas and sauces at the location. I had the Pasta Rustica, with a rosemary cream sauce, pancetta and goat cheese. Phenomenal. My friend had the scallops and risotto. Lemon tart for dessert. Our server Bri was one of the best - so sweet and was helpful in choosing our entrees. We are SO impressed and definitely will be back! read more

We made a reservation a week in advance and were seated next to the pickup bar. The food was average. Our service was average. Wine list was very high priced and no options for lower priced wines. Lots of other places to go in Prescott with better food and service, including their other restaurant, El Gato Azul. What a letdown! read more

We went on New Year's Eve and had reservations for 7:30. The food was amazing but we were seated outside in the tent with the heater. The problem was the cold came in very strong even with the heater. My husband and I were very cold the whole meal even though there was a heater. I would have given a 5 if not for this issue. Meat quality was lacking, they screwed up my first meal and then the second meal they replaced it with was even worse, spoiled salmon, yuck . The waitress tried to soften the situation by making really weird comments and she kept touching me and I told her to stop touching me. Super unprofessional. And the manager came out and said that she needed an explanation or she wasn't gonna take the item off the menu. I told her she better take it off the menu or I'll walk out and pay absolutely nothing. I told her it wasn't my responsibility to tell her to do her job. Came to leave a review but decided to check some others first. Seems to be a common thread with this restaurant. Went here for birthday dinner. Ambience is nice, mood lighting. This used to be a coffee shop before and I had been there before. Anyway, getting back to the story. We are seated in not very comfy chairs and table is too small. We are used to it so we deal with it. Our waitress is friendly and positive to interact with. We order the fig and arugula bruschetta for appetizers. One bite and it overwhelms with this syrupy sweet sauce that I imagine is fig preserve. The underlying toast, prosciutto, or cheese is nowhere to be found on the palate. Just a relentless sweet sticky continuum. Our waitress comes by and asks how we're finding it, and we politely inform her of the sweetness. She apologizes for it. Next up, entrees. Our waitress suggested the mushroom pastas and scallop/seafood entrees. But being my wife's birthday we went with her preferences and got a red sauce pasta with ground beef and fennel - standard tomato sauce pasta offering. We also ordered a spinach fettuccine with chicken. A server brings two piping hot bowls our way and sets them down. I notice there is a lack of aroma emanating from the food. We each take first bites. As I chew, I wait. My jaw is working but no flavor is coming. I look at my wife and she looks like she can't taste anything either. A thought crossed my mind that I may have COVID, as this food cannot be this bland. More bites do nothing to change the situation, and I ponder asking for olive oil and cheese. We exchange plates, and my wife's meal, though marginally more aromatic, notably misses any trace of fennel even though it claims to include Italian sausage. We agree it is a huge underwhelm. I try dousing my dish with salt and pepper - and unsurprisingly, taste only salt and pepper. Our waitress once again comes by and asks how we're doing. Once again, politely, I inform her that it's somewhat disappointing. She immediately offers to take it off our check. I tell her that's not necessary, and I'm simply concerned that it's so bland. She insists on taking it off the check, and after a couple rounds of back and forth, I let her have it. Now at this point clearly my opinion has been bought, so I can't say anything more than I was disappointed with the dessert as well (which was our host's recommendation) and all in all it was a negative, unsuccessful meal. We applaud the team's forthcoming nature and their commitment to making it right for the customer, but no front staff can correct the issues coming from their kitchen. We wish Torme all the best but in the foreseeable future, we will not be coming back. Olive Garden tastes better than this! read more

We went to Torme Friday night and I had some excellent cippiono, my wife had a spinach pasta with salmon which she really enjoyed. Deserts were crème brûlée and a chocolate ganash, the manager suggested combining the two in a bite ... excellent suggestion. Certainly worth an other visit! read more
