Wow, this place is huge!!!!!! The selection of wines, spirits and beer is overwhelming. If they don't have it, it might not exist. I found a rum here that I had in Jamaica, it was soooo good. Total Wine & More had one of our favorite wines (Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut) on sale for a great price, but it doesn't have a location in San Diego. So we decided to order a case online and drive up to the Temecula store for curbside pickup. While ordering this wine, my wife discovered that they had a terrific price on Cantina dell'Alunno Montefalco Rosso, which comes from Umbria (Italy). So ... we added six bottles of it to our order, paid online and headed north. Communication with the store was excellent, and curbside pickup went smoothly -- less than 5 minute wait from the time I let the store know that we arrived. Service was excellent. Was it worth the trip? Yes. For about $12 in gasoline, we saved around $100 for two wines that we like ... and had a nice ride in the life of COVID. Oh ... there was a 10% discount that day for wine orders of 6 bottles or more. read more

Most the beer is kept on the shelf at unstable temperatures. Also there are beers that are meant to be drank fresh within 30 days that are sitting on shelves thats almost 6 mos old. If you have a bad beer from here dont immediately assume that brewery makes bad beer. This is bad storage practice and over buying on the retailers end. read more

I have been to Total Wine many times quite frankly they have a fantastic selection of wine however the last couple of times I've been there the service has just been terrible. last time I bought six bottles of wine which is the requirement to get a better price and I carefully selected six bottles that all qualified I got up to the register and I didn't really pay attention until I got home, I looked at the receipt, and sure enough they had not given me the better price for the six bottles, but they charged me full price so apparently one of the bottles must have been mismarked, I did pay attention though and it this point it would've have been nice if the register person would say hey you just need one more bottle in order for qualifying for better prices" I was buying some big wines that day one was a Muga a Spanish high-end wine that was marked down from 39.99 to 34.99 $ if you bought six bottles of course they charged me full price for everything I then made a call only to talk to some rude person, " who said So what are you trying to do now " they could care less I'm done coming in there at this point, terrible service...... and price wise, you can get better deals in the local supermarket like Stater bros or Albertsons they have 6 bottles with 30% off Literally 2-3 $ better than total wine on any given bottle read more

My wife and I came here late one night to shop for a few last minute Christmas gifts and we were helped by Ramiro who was AMAZING! Not sure if he was a manager, but his customer service skills and friendly vibes were top notch! The store itself is huge and the selection is waaay better than the BevMo's I've been to. I love this place because the selection but the way I am treated there is uncomfortable and rude!! I'm 27 but I'm only 4'11 so each time I am here I am followed around the store and approached every 2 mins. I cannot fucking stand it. This is my first time visiting Total Wine & More. Well actually, I used their curbside service. I could not find Cristal champagne in San Diego County so I had to drive to Temecula. The price was reasonable (for Cristal which is pretty pricey) and their service was great. The staff here definitely need more customer service training. I came over here with 2 friends to purchase wine. One of us forgot their ID so she waited at the door. We just so happened to have small talk with the person who was in front of us in the line. They checked all our IDs and said that we could not purchase the wine because someone in our party did not have their ID. Which was fine with us, but they prevented the person in front of us from making his purchase, even though he went to the checkout line way before us. They were extremely hostile about the situation and the cashier lady was screaming that we were lying. The security person was also being very rude to us. We had them check the cameras to show that we did not arrive together with the person in front of us in line. Overall experienced a very entitled attitude from the workers. We were respectful about their rules and would've just left without purchasing the wine if they would not let us due to one person forgetting their ID. But they did not have to hold someone else up over it, and be openly rude in the process. Please don't give this place any more business until they change their attitudes; there are legit wineries in Temecula where you can make your purchase. read more

I went there today in Temecula to do some Christmas shopping - wine for friends and Grand Marnier for baking. Both sales women were marvelous; the first one I did not get her name. The second one, Charity was brilliant and helpful. She knew the wines, the regions, etc. She helped me narrowed down my choices (and there are a lot of cabs there) and couldn't have been more helpful. I was very impressed with her knowledge! I overheard a customer say something about a 20% discount coupon he had either received on line or in the mail. Since I get coupons from Total Wine and More, I asked Charity about 20% off. She would offer that discount to me, even though I didn't have a coupon with me. (now I was going to purchase 4 bottles of wine with the expectation of getting 20% off.) Charity said just go to the register and explain to the cashier, which I did. However, once at the register and after ringing up my cart, cashier Judy was not friendly and said: I gave you 15% off. Judy made no attempt to call a manager, or contact Charity, so I said, "I will look for Charity" and left the line. I couldn't believe Judy couldn't have consulted with Charity who said she'd adjust the price. So when I returned to check out, Judy reluctantly gave me 20% off, but had to admonish Charity for giving me that 20% off price. What a grouch. I think: not good warm customer service. Take this up with Charity or the owner/manager, not with the customer! Not a good vibe or spirit. Once home I found the 20% off coupon in my email box. Up until now I've had a great experience until today when EARL decided to "help us". I come here and buy a new bottle of tequila every 2 or 3 days. Most of the staff know me by now. Today I brought my brother in for the first time, because I loved this place so much and I regret coming today. Earl came behind us and started recommending other tequilas as others have done in the past, which is great, but once I said my brother was buying the bottle today every question I asked was answered with "Why? You're not buying anything he's the one with the money " At that point I ignored him and walked away as I shared a look with my brother because we were both shocked. We started looking at a $169 bottle to which earl replied "They don't make that in a cheaper version you know. Is that in your price range". I said we don't have a price range to which he said "I was talking to him not you". All in all, I'll decide to take my business elsewhere just to avoid running into EARL again, because I won't bite my tongue next time. read more

It's a cool place but not when the store manger Rosie is weird and gives off rude and fake attitude. The energy in the store is off. Every time I come in (often) I always see the same employees in the front who stands around and do nothing. Except I see the merchandisers who is working and holding up the store. Also I have friends who agrees with me about the store manager and the vibe of the store. It makes me think Total wine is not taking any consideration. They are staffed with very knowledgeable people specializing in the different types of products they have. The store has a rewards system that you can join for free and gives you points on each purchase you get. These points are used for discounts on different products. This place is large, with a large assortment of beverages, no doubt about it. The prices are compatible with Bevmo on most items, but I did find a couple items that were priced less. The store is quite aesthetic, much more so than Bevmo, if that is important to you. I did not feel harassed by employees like a couple people on here have noted. I found them very much willing to be helpful, which on this last visit I did take them up on their offer of assistance twice (once on a whiskey question and once on a beer question - and they have a plethora of both). Alex helped me with the beer inquiry and she was quite helpful and knowledgeable. I cannot recall the gentleman's name who assisted with the whiskey question. I don't know what the reviewer below mine truly experienced, in her mind, with allegations of attempted false imprisonment and attempted (sexual?) assault by an employee. I find it extremely unlikely anything close to that occurred, with the amount of employees present! I know I wandered off topic, but had to make a comment about that review. I'm perplexed to say the least... Anyhow, I recommend this establishment for those looking for something specific for sure. If they don't have it I'd be surprised. Really strange rules here. Tried to come in here to buy a gift and brought my sister who's 20 bc I didn't have a car to drive. They wouldn't let me purchase the gift even if she left and went back to the car. I've never experienced this before.
