They wouldn't let me buy the wine because my brother in law was with us. But I was the one buying it and me and my man had our IDs but because of there "group policy" we couldn't buy it because our brother in law isn't of age. BUT THE CRAZY PART IS!!!! My brother in law has been here with his mom and she was able to buy it. SO... there is some AGE DISCRIMINATION HAPPENING HERE! I am well above the legal age but because I look young they want to be discriminatory to me and my group. So what I am just supposed to force a person to sit in the car. This is crazy and we had IDs and everything. 0 stars and very rude and discriminatory to the younger crowd even if you are well above legal age. 0 stars!!! Don't waste your time with this location!! If you're looking for your favorite cigar or snack item, go elsewhere. This location NEVER has these items and it IS NOT a supply chain issue. Other locations seem to be able to stock these items in enough quantities to meet customer demand, but not here. I have continued to waste my time driving out there when I should have just made the time to go to another location and leave happy that I got what I came for. Not sure what the issue is, but it continues with each visit. Go elsewhere and you'll find that you leave happy and not frustrated. I will not return!! read more

Wine and spirits probably are the main attraction in this place but their service sucks. Didn't have a great customer service experience at all. Associates are not friendly particularly the women. When we first came in, both me and my fiance took our camera out to take a video of the place because it was our first time to visit the place. The video would be intended for our social media posts, IG stories, Reels, etc., that we went to check out the place, see what they got to offer, and also to make people be aware that there's a place that exist in this part of the city of Temecula, CA and they may like to visit, check it out, and shop for alcoholic beverages. We were so excited but to our disappointment, a woman, who had this store badge on her neck, obviously she's an employee, asked me to turn my camera off because according to her, the store policy does not allow people to take video of the place. I didn't say anything and turned my camera off, but in my head wow, that's actually on their favor because we are promoting their store for free. It's a free ad or marketing for them. Well I guess they don't "word of mouth" ad for their store. Who does not do vlog these days in places like this unless it's a government facility, a hospital, or private building? But hey, they don't mind if they get on YELP and have a bad review because of their policy and customer service? We would understand the privacy rules of any place, but this a store- which is open to the public for shopping and is located at a shopping center? Weird. Anyway, we still got three bottles of different alcoholic drinks and some wine gift bags in spite of our already disappointed emotions we were feeling at that moment, we went ahead and still purchased the items. When we got to the cashier, the employee (a woman again) did not even greet nor ask me if I find things that I was looking for, she rang the items, and when she's done she did not even say thank you. Rude. I do not recommend people to shop in this place. If you have Costco membership, just go there and shop for alcoholic beverages or maybe go somewhere else like Bevmo and Trader Joe's. It's not worth shopping and visiting this trashy customer service store. Take your money somewhere that can provide you the best shopping and visit experience. Others have decent collection of wine and spirits plus respectful associates than experience rude customer service from this place. Sometimes I have a little time to just go in and wonder around. It's a big store and they offer a lot of choices. This time around I was looking for something specific. They didn't stock it. Being the type of person I am I looked around a bit and didn't find anything at the time. I wanted to just go but there wasn't an easy route to just leave if you want to go. All the empty lanes are blocked and the front door has big signs saying not an exit. I don't like to draw attention to myself. So I looked around a little more and bought something so I could leave. I know I probably could have just went out the entrance but I'm not that guy. There should be an easy outlet for someone that isn't going to buy something. Not only that I would assume it might be a code violation how they have it set up currently. I like the store and what they offer just don't like how it's set up to exit. With the said comments from the company. I don't feel that closing off the area to make sure you help people is working. No one asked if I needed help. read more

Ok, WOW. So not only does Total Wine have every single type of alcohol placed like eye candy in endless rows, my experience today deserves a 10 star rating. So I was skipping (literally) down the aisle in excitement because of the abundant flavors of bitters that I had discovered, and my AirPod case flew out of my pocket. It crashed to the ground, flipped open, and one of my AirPods disappeared UNDER the aisle! No one gave up hope in looking, although the chances of finding it was looking slim. Jacob, like Superman, emerged with my left ear AirPod and made my whole frieking day!! Thank you Jacob! And thank you, Total Wine for hiring such an outstanding staff and for being so accommodating! Grand opening, was looking forward to having a closer location and not having to drive to the Rancho Cucamonga location. Walked the store several times, checking what they had and more specifically looking if they carried anything from El Segundo Brewery. Had all their usual selections which is good. They did not have what I was looking for which is fine. Floor staff seemed friendly and helpful and offered to assist us as needed. It felt weird to spend as much time as we did wandering the store to not buy anything, so my Fiancee and I settled on a couple singles as to not leave empty handed. Low stars due to how uncomfortable the cashier made me feel when I went to check out. She came off as super intense and judgemental which was the opposite of how she was towards the older gentleman she checked out prior to us. I am sure she was just doing her due diligence, and as expected, her job, in checking our ID's. I don't know if us being younger than 40 played into it, but just wow. The entire encounter during check out had me questioning myself if I had done something wrong or what. Not sure I will come back to this location at this point. I'd rather drive to the Rancho Cucamonga store or go to the many local Bev Mo stores than to feel like this again... read more

i went into the store a few weeks ago accompanied by my two sisters one of which was 23 and one who was 14 we are both of age to drink and are my sisters legal guardians which according to the store policy anyone under the age of 21 has to be accompanied by a legal guardian which we ARE and as we were checking out the lady helping us refused to sell me or my sister alcohol because our younger sister was present even after my sister offered to leave the store we offered to show all of our IDs and i even told the lady that she was our sister but since she did not look like us she said it was "hard to believe and she cant sell it to us" my sister is adopted WHICH IS WHY SHE DOES NOT LOOK LIKE US MA'AM she still said no, we would have to come back in a few hours or the next day without her, keep in mind it was 30 minutes before they closed. I have never been so appalled by a store or company to be treated this way. i will be telling friends and family not to shop there anymore. i cant believe how much business they must loose to treat people this way. shame and extremely unfortunate read more

Wow. I am blown away by the exceptional customer service I consistently receive here. Every single employee makes sure you are finding what you are looking for, acknowledging you as they pass by and answer any questions you have. One guy even educated me on the various ratings of Prosecco and champagne/sparkling wine. I was blown away by the knowledge they all have on all of their products they carry. And although I was approached by every employee that passed me by, it was never annoying nor overwhelming. A huge breath of fresh air. I just visited Total Wine & More. Store has not cycled the in-stock inventory. I had items in online basket, so rather then check-out online, I drove the 30 miles ONE WAY to the store. While at the store I could not locate the items as indicated by the app on phone, ie. aisle number and left or right. So I went up to front counter, and noticed 4 females standing around talking. I tried to make eye contact, they saw me but did not acknowledge! So I said,"excuse me, do you have this item"! Apparently the manager on duty was annoyed I interrupted her conversation with another female employee. The manager on duty, snapped back asking what item. I'm a customer, shopping in your store and your highly paid manager on duty couldn't even greet or ask how she can help? I showed my phone with the item on it and she again snapped, "what's the item"? Judy an associate came over and asked, what's the item, I showed her the phone, she looked on the computer to verify the stock and confirmed it's on aisle 9. Aisle 9 is one long aisle!! I replied, maybe you can find it?" She then asked what store are you looking at"? Temecula, I replied, though she didn't believe me so I gave her the phone to verify. Judy went to aisle 9 and no YETI 3 pk 22oz bottles. Her excuse was, the salesman didn't remove it from the inventory. Really, "The salesman"?? What the store employees can't perform cycle counts? Seems there are a lot of items not in stock, I also wanted 4packs of Dragons Milk, not on the shelf, BUT PLENTY of single bottles at a higher price!!!! So the store employees break-up a pack to sell single bottles at a higher price? By the way, the selection of craft beers is so poorly organized, nothing indicate any alphabetical order. Granted my "wish list" was only in excess of $100, yet I only spent $42. Lucky that I spent that, because of the "MOD's" attitude I was ready to walk out, but after driving 30 miles why waste a trip. I went over to Trader Joe's and bought other craft beer, talk about customer service, maybe the MOD can take lessons from Trader Joe's? As I walked out of TWM after paying, the unnamed MOD notice me leaving, then turned her head around back away, without acknowledging with a, "Thank you"!! I've shopped at your stores in Fort Worth Texas, stores in New Jersey, and never had a problem. read more

Amazing selection and great prices. But I will not be back. Their handling of CoVid-19 social distancing protocol is extremely poor. I was in there wearing a mask and gloves and still was treated like a pariah. Seriously, the associates' jumping back and barking orders about where to stand (I'm familiar with the rules) was over-the-top. The cashier dropped my receipt on the floor and didn't want to get too close to me to pick it up so I did. Also, no offer of a bag for my bottles so I didn't notice she had failed to ring up the $2 discount instant coupon that was on the bottle. I called the store after I got home to provide feedback to a manager. I almost never bother with this - it's more of my time spent. The response was pretty much, "Meh." Maybe their other clientele is willing to put up with that. Something about this place that makes me want to go back. I like BevMo but this place is leaps and bounds better. Total Wine was the only spot that had the Ciroc Watermelon and they had plenty of it. They also have bartenders inside for if you want to try something, well at least that's what it looked like. I have a co-worker that mentioned this place to me and at first I was a little iffy about it but either way I decided to stop by and check it out. There's this Colombian liquor that I have been looking for in the area and no matter where I went they didn't have it! One Friday after work, I stopped by with my brother to see if they had what I was looking for. We skimmed by every isle and didn't see it so one gentleman asked if we needed help. We showed him a picture of what the bottle looked like and he searched it up in their system and they carry aguardiente! It's a Colombian brandy which is really hard to find in this area, but this place has it! Not only do they have what I was looking for, they have a large selection of all different types of wines, liquors, and beer. Lastly, they're restrooms are so clean and fancy looking! I always go into the restrooms at any place because I personally believe restrooms say a lot about any place. I definitely recommend this place! read more
