Strawberry Smoothie & Brown Sugar Milk Tea (with boba)
    Nancy G.

Totally tea is located at Barton Creek Mall, downstairs by the Cheesesteak Factory, small place but one of the few boba places in the mall. Walked right in, free samples at the door, they were strawberry based. They have a good amount of signature drinks available as well as other drinks on their menu available for you to select from. I got the brown sugar milk tea, good flavor, not super sweet which to me is good, sometimes when they're too sweet I get tired of it quickly. There was a lot of boba in my drink so when I finished my drink there was a bit too much boba left over. The strawberry smoothie had a good flavor but it was more milk based. I was expecting more ice-y texture, but it was more smooth, kind of like a milkshake. Total for both drinks was roughly about $15 without tip, but $19 with tip included, don't forget to tip people making the yummy drinks! :) The guy working behind the counter was very friendly and he got our drinks done pretty quickly! If I find myself at the mall again I may stop by again to try out the different things on their menu. :)

Located within the Barton Creek mall, this place is good for a to go boba drink. The pricing is good for the Austin area, and the drinks were good (not great though). Seating is located right outside the shop that is comfy and relaxing. Service was good, but not enough to warrant a second visit due to it being slightly underwhelming.

Here is your worker who should not be working for your store. Employee of the month...NEVER. Total LOSER.

Me and my friends are not from the area. All of our first time in Austin. Believe it or not this experience was the worst during our vacation. We wanted some boba and unfortunately found this place. My friends ordered their drinks and moved to the side. It was my turn. I asked the worker at the register what is your most popular fruit drink? With no expression he pointed to their menu at the top. I ordered the Wowee lemonade. I moved to the side and waited for my drink. My friends drinks were apparently ready. No name or number was called. I watched as they both walked up the pick up counter where there were a few drinks lined up and your worker with an irritated face and voice says "You guys gotta help me!" They both told your employee what their drinks were. With a very annoyed demeanor he handed them their drinks. WHY do your customers have to help YOU?! I will never come back here and would never suggest this place to anyone. Wowee lemonade - eh 2 out of 5.

Regular size classic milk tea with "tapioca"

Sad to give the only bubble tea place in this area 1 star. This location is inside Barton creek mall in the lower level Macy's wing. The barista/register employee working was inattentive, rude, and purely looked like the didn't want to be there. Male taking my order blatantly ignored me to check out teenage girls walking by the store front. I was really taken back by this. Service deserves no stars. The drink was watered down, did not taste any tea whatsoever. The tapioca was undercooked and not palatable. Not worth the extra .75 cents, if anything made the whole drink worse. I'm not a fan. Paid $6.21 for a regular sized drink with 1 topping. I like the signage but it's way too close to the register making any photo opportunity awkward and intrusive to others.

BEST Boba made In Austin. Satisfied customer - tastes perfect everytime. Great customer service - always greated with a smile and helpful. And reasonably priced compared to other shops.

None of the order menu has prices associated. Very scam like feel.

Definitely skip. When workers say a drink comes with 2 scoops each scoop is near $1 post tax, so a large classic boba that "comes with 2 scoops of boba" ends up being near $8. Way better boba for less elsewhere. Pass

Save your money. Mediocre drinks and employees are extremely rude. Man who gave me my drink refused to answer my question and brushed me off. Was nice to him too. Regret tipping. Spent like 10 dollars on mostly ice.

They gave me anything but kiei

Extremely poor service, bad quality drinks and overpriced. The cashier is trying his best to upsell under quality drinks for $9.

Extremely weak, coffee drink. All milk even with a double shot of espresso, misleading pricing do not recommend.

There are so many bad matcha spots in Austin that it makes you truly appreciate the places that do it right. The menu is simple and short. I got the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk which was so good! The strawberries on the bottom added the perfect amount of sweetness. The only con is that there is a long line (for good reason).

Hand whisked with traditional tools, this matcha might be a bit pricey but it's worth it. Some notable things I liked: - the hojicha is surprisingly better than their matcha, but their matcha is still good. I normally never prefer hojicha so it surprised me a lot. - when I asked for less sweetness, it actually was less sweet. You would think that isn't surprising, but so many places still drown it in sugar. I appreciate that it's not like that here. - the wait was almost an hour for one of the first weekends they opened. It's like that for everything in Austin now though - it is so hot in there lol - the service is mindful and whoever wrote on our labels that day has gorgeous handwriting????? Overall the best matcha place in Austin. Don't skip, but it would be good if this place had a more permanent situation so we can look forward to a new wave of tea in Austin.

I don't think I've ever walked into a boba shop and immediately thought, "wow, this feels like an…read moreexperience," but here we are. The place was SUPER crowded when we arrived, but the line moved surprisingly fast, and there was even a kiosk to self-order if you didn't want to wait for cashier checkout. Efficiency aside, one of my favorite things was honestly the smell of the space. While waiting for our drinks, there was this fragrant tea aroma lingering in the air--you could genuinely smell the tea despite all the cream, milk, and sweetness floating around. As a tea lover, that immediately won me over. The place was also exceptionally clean despite how busy it was. I kept noticing employees consistently wiping things down and cleaning as they worked, which weirdly made me trust the sanitation here even more. And can we talk about the drink design? These drinks are SO cute. The intentional sticker placement over the lips, the little carrying handle--everything felt carefully stylized. You could tell they weren't just trying to make something flavorful, but something memorable and visually fun. I never thought I'd say a drink was Instagram-worthy, but these felt like the supermodels of the boba world. Even the receipt paper somehow felt luxurious (yes, I'm seriously mentioning receipt paper in a boba review). That tiny detail made me realize how intentional every aspect of this place feels. Nothing here felt accidental. Dong Ding Oolong Tea w. Fresh Milk - Very mild and creamy, almost like a mellow latte. Not my personal favorite, only because I had eaten way too much creamy food beforehand, but I genuinely loved the tea profile here and could absolutely see why others would adore this drink. High Mountain Pouchong Tea w. Lemon Juice & Mousse (Creamy Lemon Tart) - After all the sugar I had earlier in the day, this absolutely HIT the spot. The tartness was perfect and super refreshing. The cream had little bits of lemon zest mixed in, adding even more citrus aroma and making the drink feel brighter overall. I also tried adjusting the sweetness while ordering and was told it had built-in sweetness--but they reassured me that if it ended up too sweet, they'd gladly swap it for another drink. I genuinely felt like I was dealing with Amazon's generous return policy. Thankfully, no return was needed because this drink was perfect. Creamy Mango Tart - Literally the Lemon Tart, but mango. I loved this just as much. Both tart drinks felt refreshing and balanced, and instantly became fan favorites for us. Overview--I love, love, LOVE this place. Like... 1000/10 levels of love. From the experience to the drink quality to the sheer intentionality behind every detail, I couldn't be happier with this visit. I'm also ridiculously happy to hear one recently opened in Houston because I would LOVE to bring my cousins here someday. Would go back in a heartbeat--this has officially won the spot for my favorite boba place.

The honey tea latte was great too, it was light and refreshing. The drinks took about 15 minutes to come out, which is perfectly okay, because they actually brew the tea instead of using a pre-made powder mix like most boba shops. The space itself is definitely on the smaller side with only a few tables, but the ambiance is thoughtfully designed in a way that somehow makes the whole place feel cheerful, cozy, and welcoming instead of cramped. I ordered what I believe was a taro milk tea with almond milk and extra boba, lightly sweetened. The drink came out smooth, creamy, and balanced without becoming overly sugary. The boba had the right texture too - soft and chewy without turning mushy. You can tell they actually care about the drinks instead of just assembling them as fast as possible. The cashier was genuinely funny and friendly, which honestly adds more to a quick stop like this than people realize. Service was fast, parking was easy, and the menu had plenty of options without feeling overwhelming. This isn't really a "hang out for 4 hours and study" kind of boba place because the seating is limited, but for a quick stop, grab-and-go drink, or casual catch-up, it works really well. The surrounding area is still developing so there aren't crazy views or anything, but during sunrise or sunset the light coming through the windows actually gives the place a pretty nice vibe. Small shop, good energy, solid drinks, easy parking. I'll definitely be back.
