I asked multiple companies for a quote and Zach was available same day. He initially didn't want to provide a quick quote without seeing everything in person, but I pleaded and he eventually gave me a range of estimates based on what he knew and they were all reasonable (relative to the Austin market) . It frustrates me as an impatient homeowner when I can't get immediate quotes, but I think the need for companies to see everything in person is probably a good sign. He doesn't want to just tell people what they want to hear to get in the door and then surprise them when the price changes because something about the project made it more difficult. He was then willing to answer my technical questions about potentially repairing my existing water heater and even some local parts stores I could look at for the components that weren't working for my existing water heater. We also talked about CoA rebates, heat pumps, and all the options for water heaters. Companies have a lot of incentive to gatekeep this kind of information and Zach was willing to just help me out as I formed a plan that took my current budget into account. I ended up replacing my own water heater, but I am a stubborn, frugal person. Zach's customer service, availability, and reasonable quotes are appreciated. If my financial situation improves, I'll probably be giving him a call next time I have plumbing needs.

Treated poorly and egregiously overcharged by their crew, and there was nobody I could reach to talk about it that seemed to care, listen or want to try and help. After personally finding a small water leak outside our home, and digging a large hole around the source of a small outside water leak (small 1" elbow pipe coming out of the house - my video attached), I recommended that my girlfriend call Good Flow Plumbing. After a few attempts to reach them, she left a message during business hours, then finally connected via text and booked an appointment (a few days out). On the appointment date, their crew arrived late, outside their 4 hour arrival window. The good news; they fixed the leak, and did so in only 38 minutes! And that should be our happy ending - right? Unfortunately for us, not a happy ending. This is the point where they presented my girlfriend with a bill for nearly $500 for their "time and materials". She asked how a 30 min job could be so expensive, (she was told to expect $200 max), and they said "digging holes are hard, and they cost more money." Of course this is nonsense, the hole was already dug, I dug it myself. Any extra digging, including the actual water leak fix was an elapsed grand total of 38 minutes. Who charges $500 for 30 minutes of work? Are there plumbers in Austin charging $1,000 an hour now? Is there some sort of hazard pay for using a shovel that I should be aware of? They tried to justify an inflated price to my girlfriend assuming she wouldn't know the difference. She did know the difference, but decided not to push back any further as she was home alone, and already feeling uncomfortable by the two mens presence, so she paid the bill when they asked her to pay. When I returned home from Base, she relayed the story to me, and I said I would call their office and speak to management to let them know how their crew made her feel, and address the overcharge. Well, after repeated attempts to reach anyone at their office, I finally connected via text message, and eventually moved to a phone call. To my dismay, the lady who took the call (name starts with a J) was argumentative, defensive, and did not care to hear what I had to say nor help in any way. The sad part; I previously referred Good Flow Plumbing to many friends in Austin, and cited their company as some of the best, most honest plumbers out there -- not anymore. I am currently shopping for another plumbing contractor to send my friends, family and personal business to. I don't get why anyone would be so shortsighted. Okay, so now they have an extra couple hundred dollars, and we have an experience. And now I'm sharing our experience so others don't accidentally part ways with their hard earned dollars, for slow, poor service with zero respect.

After several weeks of not hearing back, I requested the cabinet reskinning this week. I never received a confirmation date or time and received this email response from the team after their team showed up at my place without my knowing/being there -- "There was an email confirmation sent last week for today's appointment. It may have gone to your spam account. There is no proof this was a result of the faucets having a small leak, and the manager Shawn discussed not reskinning this cabinet. We only were trying to appease and get you taken care of. We don't have the power to reschedule the cabinet company and we do not reskin cabinets. You will need to find a cabinet company and then we will reschedule." So now I'm left with cleaning up the mess the caused on my own as they have not returned any of my calls or responded to my email. Do yourself a huge favor and look elsewhere. Based on reading other reviews, it looks like they have a history of not taking responsibility for damage they cause!
