Stopped for something to eat at Tower and Church Bistro while in the hospital. They were getting ready to turn over to lunch however our only option at the moment was breakfast. I had the French toast and it was excellent! I only wish I had more! The flavor was so good - you don't even need syrup! I also ordered coffee. It was unfortunately cold. They lady had to make more. It took about 15 minutes which didn't give me much time before I had to be back to the unit. She was working alone behind the counter so I understood why it took so long. It was not her fault. She needed help. I would go again. I will certainly go when I visit the hospital the next time. read more

I was doing a contract for a few months there and the food is really good for it being in an hospital! Exceeded my expectations! Few items stood out: cabbage with bacon was SUPERB!!! Italian pasta salad great! All the cream based soups delicious!!!! Especially the asparagus and the shrimp soup, cauliflower cheese bake of some sort DEVINE!! Pizza great! For a restaurant inside a healthcare facility, this is a pretty good joint. There are three dining options: there's a Starbucks-style kiosk where you can get muffins, drinks, pre-packaged half-sandwiches, hummus & pretzels, and the like. There's also a bar where you walk down one side of a sneeze guard and tell the server what to dish out for you, which they then place in a tray and hand you after you pay at the register. The third option is to sit at a table and order off a menu. All things considered, the food is pretty good. I had a Marietta salad that was fruity and fresh, and the croque monsieur was a good sandwich, the like of which I hadn't had before. We've eaten there twice; the first time the service was excellent. The second time the server was good, but she was running around like crazy, I think because they were short-staffed, which lessened the pleasure of our visit. If you spend more than $15, you can ask for them to stamp your receipt so you get $3 off your parking ticket. The people working the line were courteous and gracious, and the facility was clean. All in all, a good option. Expect entrees to be between $8 and $15, depending on what you get. read more

Really nice atmosphere at a great hospital. The food was not very impressive. I went there for breakfast, I had a side of fruit, which was not that great, oatmeal that was ok and home fries that looked amazing, but they were cold and completely flavorless. It cost me $8.48. I went to the Starbucks right next to the buffet line to get a hot tea. I ordered a large, which at any Starbucks they would give you 2 teabags, I handed her two and she charged me $4.24, I took her almost 5 minutes backing up the line and she looked totally pissed the whole time. The people in line must have thought I was some kinda jerk asking for some whacked out drink, but really I just wanted a cup of hot water and I could have put my own tea bags in. Yeah, not coming back here. I'd rather eat out of a vending machine. read more

Hubby brought me several things from here when we were in the hospital expecting our baby. Everything I had was good, but I really liked the margherita pizza. It was very good and crunchy. I even picked up a couple of things on my way out from a check up appointment and when one thing in my order was incorrect, it was promptly fixed. When you walk in the restaurant you wouldn't know your not in a fancy hotel restaurant. The atmosphere is soothing and a nice change when you have been sitting in a hospital room with a loved one. There are a few options for food. You can have standard Starbucks type foods from the Starbucks counter or choose ala carte options from the hot food and salad line or you can order from the menu. I have gotten breakfast here the last two mornings and it is delicious. There are many healthy options and everything is fresh and perfectly prepared. The portions are very generous. At lunch I had a salad with fresh greens and turkey and you have the option to add several toppings to customize. I had a bake chicken breast that might have been the most juicy and tender I've ever had. My adult children had calzone from the menu that was huge and they said it was delicious. Interesting. This is like, a really nice restaurant inside a hospital. You can walk along the line to LOOK at the food before you choose what you want to eat, and then order it to sit or to go. Or you can be seated, and waited on by servers, like at any other restaurant. The long and short of this place is that it's really great choices at a really great value... inside a hospital. On this particular day, I had not a lot of hours of sleep, and not much in the way of real food. However, I don't think this skewed my judgement. Take that for what it's worth. I ordered the mushroom risotto appetizer and the half and half soup and salad. I chose the soup of the day which was beef & barley (instead of French onion, which also sounded delicious) and a turkey & swiss on wheat bread. All of this came out at the same time, despite the fact that one was an appetizer. The risotto was really delicious.. but couldn't be finished by two people, as it was VERY rich which cheesiness. Delicious, mushroomy, risotto-y, cheesy carbs - with two leaves of arugula on top, that did not get eaten. The beef & barley soup was very good and I inhaled it. The broth was tasty, the barley and beef were cooked just right. The turkey & swiss on wheat was fairly plain - as in, normal, nothing extremely special - but tasty. Here's where they lose at least a star. The service was not great today. Our waitress brought us two sets of drinks and just laughed. Like I said, she brought out all the food at once. She brought the check without a pen. She had to be asked 3x for a to-go cup for sweet tea. Then we realized (printed on the check) that all the gratuity is donated back to Wellstar. No wonder the server made, like, no effort. Still, this place is tasty, serves Sbux coffee, and is very reasonably priced and easy to grab when you're running around the hospital trying to catch an appointment or visit a patient. I too have enjoyed good food at this hidden gem in Marietta. I like that you can call Kennestone Hospital and get the lunch and dinner menu. Convenient if you don't have hospital business and just want to go for a meal. But what I really want to share today is their bakery. My friend surprised me by buying me a coconut cake for my birthday. It was incredible and she said the price was a real deal. It was so fresh and nicely decorated. I have to say this coconut cake was way better than the last one I purchased at a "well known " Marietta bakery. As it turns out, the words 'quality food' and 'hospital' can exist in the same sentence! T&C Bistro is located inside Kennestone Hospital adjacent to the women's center wing. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it is a sit-down restaurant, so after being at the hospital since the wee morning hours waiting on my dad's outpatient procedure, it was a welcome relief from the sterile hospital vibe. I had the soup and 1/2 sandwich combo, with French onion soup and ham/Swiss on rye. Loved the soup!! Rich flavor with a perfectly melted later of cheese atop. Sandwich was great as well. Lots of fresh sliced ham with lettuce, tomato and mayo. The combo and the drink was about $10. Not too bad at all, and much better than a vending machine. Great addition, Kennestone! read more

It's a hospital restaurant. How much can one expect? Turns out this place is really good. Had breakfast and lunch. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, cheese grits and home fries. It was delicious. Cheese grits were creamy and cheesy as they should be. Lunch was soup and Caesar salad combo. The bacon and lentil soup was really really good. Salad was crisp and fresh with large shavings of Parmesan. Service was friendly and fast. Skip the cafeteria; eat here. read more

I didn't quite expect this place in a hospital, but they have a great cafeteria line as well as a Starbucks and sit-down options. They automatically serve drinks in to-go cups so that you don't have to ask when heading back to your loved one and while the service can be a little spotty, its in a hospital and the convenience factor more than makes up for it. We just found out about this restaurant yesterday while waiting for our son in surgery. I can't say enough good things about it! The atmosphere is extremely pleasant and relaxing. The food is beautifully prepared, presented and so delicious!!! Our waiter was beyond excellent, very pleasant, helpful and courteous. He would not consider a tip, which he truly deserved..... I highly recommend you to try the Bistro experience if you get the opportunity, even if you just want to find an enjoyable place to dine and really have no need to be at the hospital. We intend to take our son (who did not get to share our experience as he was in surgery) back there so he can enjoy as well. read more

I've been here many times over the years as both a hospital employee and visitor. The staff is usually pretty friendly, and the food is great (much better than the cafeteria). There is a dining room where you can sit to enjoy your meal like at a regular restaurant. Or, you can opt for takeout from the same menu or see what's on the bar (both cold salads as well as hot foods). There's also a little Starbucks, dessert section, and "grab and go" refrigerated section with sandwiches and salads if you're in a hurry. I've never seen an actual restaurant like this within a hospital, but the Bistro certainly adds an extra appeal when you're at Kennestone and need to grab a bite to eat. read more

I was turned away and told they were closed by an employee behind the counter as food was still in warmers and as nurses and others were still being served. Did I mention that this was also during the normal hours that it shows being open? The most amazing part is that this employee let me stand there looking at all the food options and waited until I went to order to tell me they were closed. Wedge Iceberg salad was average. Ingredients were room temp, not chilled as they should be. Too much core on the wedge. Mushroom risotto was horrible. Worst I've ever had...could not eat it. Gummy and undercooked with little salt. And with arugula in the dish name, you'd expect more than three small sprigs on top. Coconut cake was very "processed" tasting.
