Really nice atmosphere at a great hospital. The food was not very impressive. I went there for breakfast, I had a side of fruit, which was not that great, oatmeal that was ok and home fries that looked amazing, but they were cold and completely flavorless. It cost me $8.48. I went to the Starbucks right next to the buffet line to get a hot tea. I ordered a large, which at any Starbucks they would give you 2 teabags, I handed her two and she charged me $4.24, I took her almost 5 minutes backing up the line and she looked totally pissed the whole time. The people in line must have thought I was some kinda jerk asking for some whacked out drink, but really I just wanted a cup of hot water and I could have put my own tea bags in. Yeah, not coming back here. I'd rather eat out of a vending machine.

    Good eats from the buffet!

I have only two words to describe this place! "Holy moly!" The food at this place was slammin! If it wasn't for the fact that my wife just had a baby a day ago, I would have built a base camp in front of the cash register. The food was far above my expectations. The presentation of the restaurant was very nice as a matter of fact it reminded me of Starbuckish flavor . The staff was very pleasant and professional. Dude! I cannot believe that this was a restaurant inside of a hospital..... A hospital! After spending at least 15 minutes picking and eating crumbs off my shirt!.... I raved about my entire experience to a nurse on the elevator! But from the way she bolted off the elevator she probably thought I was an escapee from the psych ward ! lol! Lemillions.com

I too have enjoyed good food at this hidden gem in Marietta. I like that you can call Kennestone Hospital and get the lunch and dinner menu. Convenient if you don't have hospital business and just want to go for a meal. But what I really want to share today is their bakery. My friend surprised me by buying me a coconut cake for my birthday. It was incredible and she said the price was a real deal. It was so fresh and nicely decorated. I have to say this coconut cake was way better than the last one I purchased at a "well known " Marietta bakery. I will be going to the Tower and Church Bistro for my special occasion cakes in the future. Check it out. I have added a photo of my cake.

    Extra cheesy personal pizza!

Had the meatball sub. The food was cold and the bread soggy. Not a good choice! I would have rather ate at the cafeteria.

Food is average, service is inconsistent and sometimes rude. Don't count on getting similar portion sizes from one time to the next.

Inside is lovely and clean with earthy decor and some toys for children by the restrooms. They also have a portable changing table available on request. I sat outside on the patio and they put a fan on me since it was warm. Lovely seats on the lawn shaded by a large tree as well as some deck seating. They have a large menu loaded with goodies. I found about 5-6 things I actually wanted at once but settled not he Veggie bowl and added chicken sausage. My bowl had sweet potato hash, cheese, kale, red peppers, red onion and mushrooms sautéed, topped with two eggs and my added chicken. It was a huge portion and it was really delicious. Perfectly cooked and healthy and loaded - the hash was phenomenal. My waitress was the sweetest and I really just enjoyed a lovely quiet lunch with the patio entirely to myself on a lovely summer afternoon. Couldn't have been better.

The owner had everyone in mind when it came to the food. There's a drink menu for kids and even something for the dogs . I ordered the coconut curry salmon . It was good . It lacked flavor, but I appreciated it for not being overly salty. My favorite meal was the avocado nachos. I have thought of them since my first time eating them. It is one of the most popular dishes on the menu. Ask long as it's offered I will always order it . The parking was a bit tight behind the house . When I arrived , I was very lucky to get the last spot . However , I noticed other patrons were parking next to the Root Canal office . It was an open area that appeared to be a makeshift parking area. There was outdoor seating, by which I saw quite a few people seating there . It looked cozy and no one seemed uncomfortable. As it was my first time there. I elected to eat inside. It wasn't a bad experience, but the home is very small . I can imagine it being congested . But I was there early on a Sunday . Will I eat here again ? Yes !

We tried the chicken croquettes, honey biscuits, fish and grits with Creole sauce, and a skillet. The honey biscuits were absolutely amazing, and the fish and grits were seasoned perfectly. Everything tasted fresh and made from scratch. The hospitality was 10/10. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The decor is beautiful and creates the perfect atmosphere for brunch with family and friends. If you're looking for Southern brunch, comfort food, fish and grits, homemade biscuits, or a great Black-owned restaurant in Marietta, I definitely recommend giving Phyllis Brunch Bistro a try. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible from start to finish. We had reservations for 10:45 AM on May 23. Due to the rain, we arrived around 10:53, but some of the ladies were already there waiting. After being seated, it took about 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us to ask for drinks. We all ordered water... and then we waited. And waited. About 30-40 minutes passed without anyone taking our food order, even though the restaurant was not busy. We noticed another group who came in after us eventually just get up and leave. Honestly, we should have done the same. Around 11:30, as we were gathering our things to leave, the owner came over asking where we were going. I explained that no one had taken our order and that we were hungry. She convinced us to stay and brought out chicken croquettes and biscuits "to hold us over." The biscuits were decent, but the croquettes were not good. Then we waited ANOTHER hour. Our food didn't arrive until around 12:30 PM. During that time, my sister and I literally walked to another restaurant nearby, ordered food there, ate, and came back -- and our food had just arrived. To make matters worse, the chicken was undercooked. As shown in the photo, it was raw inside and dripping excessively. Absolutely unacceptable and unsafe. On top of all of that, when I went to pay, I noticed I was being overcharged. I had to ask for an itemized receipt, and suddenly the total dropped significantly. That alone was frustrating and unprofessional. The overall environment was also uncomfortable. The cook was sweating heavily over the food while talking, which did not make the experience any better. I paid for meals my family didn't even enjoy just to leave and go somewhere else to actually eat. The only thing decent about this experience was the homemade-style biscuits. I do not recommend this restaurant if you are expecting good service, timely food, professionalism, or quality control. This was my personal experience, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst brunch experiences I've had in a long time.

We are very happy we gave it a shot. The fried chicken biscuit was phenomenal. We got the Hot Honey Garlic Sauce on the side so I could dip the sandwich. The sauce was hot (spicy flavor) so I was glad I could control the portion & alternate the savory fried chicken and biscuit taste without the added heat from the sauce. The wait on a rainy Saturday morning was reasonable considering there were quite a few other first timers in attendance. We could overhear other couples/families telling waitresses & hosts about the video. We also had the Smokey Scramble (with chicken) and a single buttermilk pancake - all of it delicious. Our waitress apologized for the wait & let us know the kitchen was busy but when the food came it would be worth it - and it absolutely was. We look forward to visiting the Crooked Tree Cafe again
