However, there is one thing that I cannot seem to like at your place and that's my own opinion. that would be the red sauce your marinara I assume. It just didn't go with the chicken Parm. I think you should really look at that sauce and maybe jazz it up a bit and maybe I can order other dishes that have the red sauce but otherwise it's a great place. read more

I stopped in last night to grab a slice and a cup of soup. The slice (chicken, bacon, ranch) was pretty good - a little dry but the crust held its crisp (oven, to warmer for the 15 minutes while I waited for the soup, to the 10 minute drive home). The soup was a little disappointing (pasta e fagioli) as it was slightly over-salted and on the watery side. The bread that came with it was really good, however. I never realized how close Sauro's actually is to my home and will definitely be back to try some of their other food/pizza. read more

I'm hooked on their chicken pesto rotini. This isn't going to be much of a review because that's the dish I get every time. Their pesto sauce is fantastic (did I mention that I have very high standards when it comes to eating out?). And the chicken is never overcooked or dried out. I order the dinner size even if it's lunchtime. I want LEFTOVERS!! This may be some sort of magical chicken because even when I reheat it in the microwave, it's STILL tender. And the white pizza.... OMG Just the right balance of cheeses and seasoning on a crispy crust. They now have a full bar, so you can enjoy a glass of wine with your meal. And definitely have some bread. Don't sit in the Bar area if you want good service. Of course this depends on who is Bar Tendering. It took too long for the initial greet, than too long for us to place our order, the Bar Tenders mask kept falling off his nose, we shouldn't have to remind him of this. Also there is now a surcharge in place when one uses a Credit Card. I feel that is terrible business. In normal or abnormal times, it's petty, and speaks volumes of how ownership thinks. Town Square Pizza is a hidden gem that not only offers a friendly and most efficient staff but ambiance and amazing food. I enjoyed an arugula and goat cheese salad and a taste of my Sam's amazing pappardelle bolognese. House made bread was to die for. This is the pizza place we have been waiting for! Straightforward, high quality, fresh and creative Italian dishes. We order 3-4 pasta dishes (along with a salad) to share among 4-5 people -- our go-tos are pappardelle bolognese, truffles rigatoni carbonara, orecchiette (sausage and broccoli rabe!). The mac and cheese and penne alla vodka are also great. The service is fantastic and it's obvious that the owners really care about the place. They have a program "pizza for a purpose" in which they select a charity to donate a fraction of the proceeds to each month. A very pleasant place to sit and eat, but the food holds up very well when ordered to go, and is always packaged carefully and kindly. Definitely recommend -- we've quickly become regulars and can't wait to go back! read more

Sauro's is our favorite Italian restaurant and pizzerias but I am writing this review to recommend their catering. The food arrived on time and the delivery man was so efficient I barely knew he was there. Our quests were from all over and many know good Italian food. I received numerous compliments and requests for Sauros contact info. When I arranged the party I feel like I was not pushed into over ordering. We had plenty of food with just a few leftovers The prices are so reasonable but more importantly you can always depend on quality at this restaurant. This is a local treasure! read more

Food is great. Portion size options are fantastic. The only adjustment I would reccomend to ownership is this: Get a professional bar tender and have them only service the bar. You'll see more drinks and more profits. Also had trouble getting a second drink and asking for condiments becuse the bar tender was serving tables. Whoohoo! Super happy to have found this place! Got to bring my family for the first time to NYC this year.. lets just say the city was not their thing. A surprise. On our first visit we found a wonderful local Italian restaurant and pizza parlor. Very crowded and busy at 6 on a Tuesday evening, we were seated promptly. The staff was courteous and attentive throughout the meal. The food was served promptly in substantial portions that were really hot. Although the location was somewhat noisy 4 of us had a thoroughly enjoyable meal for about $100 without tip. This is a new find for us and we are likely to come back soon. read more

So happy to find this place in this neck of the woods. They make a great sized personal pizza, crispy thin crust the way I like it (and I am picky person). Great crust, great ingredients. Finally made it over to this side of town and we had a nice afternoon lunch. I had the Chicken Marsala and it pretty good. I would have liked to taste more Marsala wine flavor in the sauce but it wasn't bad. The pizza looked absolutely delicious. We filled up on the warm bread they supply but are definitely planning on a return visit to try that pizza. The staff is super attentive, and I mean super attentive. They are on the ball for sure but it can get a little annoying. The restaurant is not very large and the waiter kept going back and forth like a soldier waiting to intervene with the meal. It was a bit annoying. We sat next to a partition with a small faux window and noticed that he would walk by and then peer at our table through the window. I know this sounds comical but I felt like I was in some kind of sitcom. All in all the food was good so I would return. read more

We moved to the area about 1 1/2 years ago. We had tried Sauros a few times. Chicken parmesan is very good. Pizza is decent. Yesterday we had friends over with two small children. We ordered a plain pie for the kids to be delivered to our home. We live approximately 4 miles away in Holmes, NY. My husband called in the pie at 3:15 in the afternoon. We were told it would take 45 minutes which is totally okay. After over an hour of waiting, my husband called the restaurant to find out what the hold up was. The woman on the phone told him that they were currently gathering it together to be delivered. After all of that the pizza did not arrive until after 5 pm! Completely outrageous. Not to mention embarrassing. I would have picked it up myself but I am currently 8 months pregnant and everyone else was entertained with some cocktails at this point. We are limited with how many places deliver around here. Most of the time I cook and we have had a delivery one other time before which was quick. Every other time we have ordered, they have been so backed up and delivery would take too long so we have picked up. It was shocking at this hour on a Saturday it was really that long. Very disappointing. After speaking with customer service, i can say we will definitely return as customers. Very nice people who care about their customers. I am very impressed. Maybe next time we will sit down in the restaurant for dinner. Thanks so much read more

Sauro's Town Square Pizza Cafe is a regular spot that my family orders from. Sometimes we ever order more than once a week! My family and I have ordered pretty much everything on the menu, and never have any complaints about anything! Some of my personal favorite dishes include the Mac and cheese, rigatoni chicken pesto and the fried calamari. My family also enjoys the salmon entree, steak gorgonzola salad and the clam sauce. The quality is always consistent, and the staff is very friendly. I love the atmosphere inside the restaurant as well, it is very pleasant for dining. The bar addition is also beautiful as well. One thing I would recommend is some updating to the menu. There aren't a ton of options, and I would like to see more from this restaurant and be able to try new things. I know there have been specials in the past, but they were only available on weekends and not available for takeout either. Besides those two points, I personally love Sauro's and would recommend them to anyone! read more

Ordered a Margherita Pizza tonite for pickup. Ice cold, slabs of mozzarella, unappetizing, probably prepared beforehand but forgot to put in oven! Fortunately had oven waiting at 500 degrees since this isn't the first time... will never, ever order pizza here again! And having been there for dinner before, definitely not worth the time or effort to bother.. Their other "so-called" Italian food isn't much better! No stars, not even for trying..... read more
