We are remodeling our kitchen and, after we had a contractor put in gorgeous green quartzite countertops, decided to do our backsplash ourselves. After a lot of reading and research, I decided I wanted natural quartzite stone tiles. I knew it would be difficult to find stones that went well with the green countertops, We searched a number of tile stores without finding what we wanted and finally ended up at Towne Tile and Stone. It was a smaller store so I wasn't sure if it would have what we wanted, but Scott immediately showed us some samples that seemed to work well with the color of our granite. He also quickly offered some design options that gave us some new ideas that led to our final design. We knew that actual batches of stone that we would receive would likely not look like the samples in the store, so I wanted to purchase just a few square feet to see what the variation in color was. Fortunately, the price Scott gave us for the stone was excellent, plus he was willing to sell us a small quantity without any additional fees or charges. When we received the tile, I knew that we would need a lot of extra tile so we could pick out the tiles that worked, but that was okay because of the competitive pricing Towne Tile offered. Scott also recommended exactly what we needed to do the job ourselves, including grout and caulk. We ended up ordering several batches of tiles over the course of the job, as well as some stone enhancer which we ended up returning, although I now wish I had not done that. I have to say that all of the items that Scott recommended purchasing were just right for doing the job. Our backsplash is finally done, and I have to say that it looks great. Of all the stores we had visited, Towne Tile offered the best service. I have to say that I think we underutilized them. We will be remodeling our bathrooms later, and for that effort, I am planning to seek not only their products, but more of their expertise. read more

Wow! The only tile shop on here with so many 5 star reviews, and they deserve every single one of them! Towne Tile is a great shop with an excellent selection, and what makes your experience there even more pleasant is the customer service. I have had the pleasure of dealing with both Scott and Ryan, and they are both masterminds when it comes down to design and the knowledge of the products that they sell! I believe it is so important these days, especially when so much money is involved to have that feeling of security, and know that the people you are doing business with are experienced! It is such a relief. Scott is great with his drawings! It really helps to paint that picture which is sometimes so hard to see. Ryan is a great designer as well with a wonderful personality! They both know how to open a door to a world of inspiration, there is no doubt about that! They have been there through so many of my projects! 5 bathrooms and now a kitchen remodel and they have not let me down yet! I would highly recommend Towne Tile! Wow - this was an unpleasant experience! My contractor suggested I go there for tiles for a bathroom remodel, and the whole process was a struggle. The material was ordered through my contractor and was supposed to take 5 days, but 3 weeks later still nothing. The project came to a stop while we waited, and on 3 different phone calls about the order we were given 3 different stories as to why the order had not arrived. When the tiles finally arrived my contractor dropped off the order to the house for us to inspect, only to discover the count on the trim tile was short compared to the invoice! Aahh! After this mess I discovered the place used to be called Campbell Tile last year with the same people running it, and if you look up reviews under that name it can be a real eye-opener. I've had really good luck with another store in the area on a past project, so needless to say I willl not being using Towne Tile in the future. read more

I bought two bathrooms worth of materials from this place - NEVER going back. Turns out, I was not alone in my experiences with Ryan Kelly or this store. I personally had to have it out with Ryan before he FINALLY produced my order. Even then, it was two weeks late, full of busted tiles, and put my bathroom remodel project behind. Of course, Ryan LIED about the REASON for the delay - blamed it on a backordered distributor. Well, I called the distributor, who told me Ryan failed to pay for the order. Imagine that! I feel sorry for his #2 Scott (who actually appeared competent and honest). Consider yourself warned: NEVER EVER give Ryan Kelly any money upfront. Cash only upon timely delivery. read more

The service and atmosphere at Towne Tile were simply fantastic. Both Scott and Ryan helped us during the period of time we were shopping for our tile and mosaic. I can honestly say that without their assistance and candor, we may have made some major mistakes with our remodel. I went to many stores looking for "the perfect" look. I must say, when I walked into Towne Tile I was greeted by Ryan who sat down with me and was so much help in guiding me to a bathroom remodel that was affordable and fit my needs.
