I had a horrible experience yesterday at Twp Bagel Cafe in Washington Township. We called in a $65 order which was not ready in over an hr. I got there to pick it up. and long story short, I watched my families breakfast fall off the counter n onto the floor. They tried to only remake what came out of the Styrofoam containers. I even went to the $ tree n waited another hr. Something told me to check all the containers before I left there. everything was cold. syrup all over everything n horrible horrible quality. they tried to pass off cold food off the floor to me n my family. absolutely unacceptable! horrible customer service! I now am waiting for my refund to my debit card. since they got paid and would not give me cash. lost a great customer and I have never wrote a bad yelp review in my life. read more

This is a quaint little neighborhood place. Rest assured, you will be treated well in this joint by the staff, very friendly and kind. I had an everything bagel, toasted with cream cheese. The bagels are okay, not very chewy and the dough feels more like a bread than a bagel blend. The cream cheese is really good - very light and not too much, serving size wise. Township bagel is a good lunch place. They have all kinds of sandwiches. When I went here though they were all out of bagels except raisin which wasn't ideal. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on white bread. It was good, but didn't knock my socks off. I would give this a solid 4 star review except for one thing... my wife got the Grilled Turkey Reuben sandwich, which tasted exactly like the Grilled Turkey Reuben from The Original turkey at Reading Terminal Market. Unlike my sandwich which was ok.. this was bangin. My wife didn't finish hers and I had the pleasure of taking the rest off of her hands. I highly recommend going to this place sometime during lunch and ordering the Turkey Reuben and be sure to put the slaw on the sandwich. Definitely worth it. read more

If you truly love a traditional NY STYLE bagel (one that is boiled & then baked) this is not going to satisfy that craving. If you have never had a NYS Bagel then you wouldn't know the difference & probably would think these are good. As a transplanted NY'r I do. I got an un toasted, poppyseed bagel with lox cream cheese. I couldn't even eat the other half. The lox spread tasted like the artificial salmon flavored & colored stuff that a well known chain of bagels serves. Not homemade. The bagel was dry & although looked promising; was lacking in the correct texture & flavor. I tried this location once when it was called Olivia's & the new owners didn't change the bagel recipe. Too bad; now I have to travel 35 minutes for a great bagel. (Audubon). I believe the many other breakfast choices served here may satisfy but not the bagels. read more

I order the stuffed French toast. It was so disgusting that I had to throw it away. It was French toast with blueberry cream cheese in the middle with blueberries sprinkled in between. My friend order a bagel with jalapeño, avocado, egg, and cheese(a meal they have on the menu). They put green peppers on the meal instead of actual jalapeños. This was a new breakfast try for a couple that goes to the same two places every weekend. It was going out on a limb, but the limb was firm. Solid place. Tl:dr; This place can actually bake fresh bagels which don't suck... Which is a tall claim because we are in South Jersey. I've been to this cafe twice, once ordering just a simple bagel, and another time ordering a breakfast sandwich. Both times I've been there, they have knocked it out of the park, no doubt because of the fresh high quality bagels they had. Just as a heads up, if you are ordering a breakfast sandwich, you purchase the 'category' of sandwich you want and then you pick what you want to fill it with. For example, if you buy a Meat, Veggie, & Cheese breakfast sandwich, you pay the price for said item, and then pick what meat, bread, veggie, and cheese you want from their 'Customize' section of the menu. Chances are, you're nodding and saying "Isn't that obvious?" And it probably is, but I completely got confused about that in the busyness of the place. I'm docking them a star for two minor reasons. When I got my breakfast, they were clearly overwhelmed with customers and it took about 20-25 minutes after ordering to get our meal. It's hard to tell if this was just a one time surge or if this is normal but I hope they're addressing that. Also while I was there, they didn't have any water cups, and only had bottled water. I'm not sure if that is just a one time thing or if that's normal but it is a buzzkill to not even have simple unbolttled water as an option. read more

This place is nice. I like that there is a bagel place like this so close to home but I'm from New York where bagel kings rule each corner street. So I'm sort of a hard sell for a good bagel. The food is good (egg sandwiches, French toast etc) but the bagels were just okay..too doughy in my opinion and they do have sort of a bland taste. Plus they always run out of the specialty bagels super early. Make more!! I like that they serve la Colombe coffee but please put out other types of milk! Not everyone likes half and half in there coffee. Fat free or 1% would be nice. The service is good, obviously more of a wait on a Sunday but everyone was very friendly. read more

We found this place by mistake, and we were so glad we did. It's a small cafe, so we didn't expect many options other than maybe a bagel sandwich. And due to the holiday, they were running out of bagels quickly. But the menu had various breakfast items to choose from that made it a full-service offering, at a price that was affordable. I noticed immediately that the place seemed to be a spot where the Washington Township coach-type cop dad takes his teenager for breakfast...which was a good sign that this place was going to be efficient, hearty, and neighborhood-friendly. When we met Donna, who was running the place, it all came together. Within a moment we could tell that she had that caring, south Philly style where all of her sentences end in "hon(ey)" or some other term of affection, and that she multi-tasks busily to make sure everyone is happy. The food came out quickly and didn't disappoint. Both of our omelettes were excellent with generous portions. Getting the choice to have a bagel with cream cheese included with our breakfast made a phenomenal value. We also got a bottled La Colombe coffee, which wasn't cheap by any means, but we loved that it was offered and it had a great taste...I'm craving a bottle of it now. I can't comment much on the bagels, as they were very limited on the selection during our visit. But I'll be back another day when they are fully stocked. read more

Excellent service! Greeted with a smile and a friendly hello, which is rare now a days. Very quick service. I agree with other Reviewers the bagels are probably not boiled before being baked but it hit the spot! I got a pork roll egg and cheddar cheese with SPK! The super gooey melted cheese made it! I didn't get coffee but next time I will try the flavored coffee - vanilla toffee crunch sounds so yummy! I will definitely be back! I've heard nothing but good things and the foot traffic seemed substantial as I live and work in the area but never stopped in before. Among entering, the place is very clean and well kept but I can't say the same about the food. As a big egg bagel connoisseur I ordered a Pork Roll, Egg & Cheese on a toasted egg bagel. The service was nice and fast but I was just as fast to realize what a poor breakfast sandwich it was. Very bland meat and hard bagel that just disappointed. Didn't even seem fresh. Do yourself a favor, don't ruin your Friday (or any day) by stopping here. Take the extra 8 minute drive to Ry's Bagels in Glassboro and get a wet sandwich that will leave you ready to conquer the day and release all your endorphins. Township Bagel is all around incredible!! I have visited several other breakfast spots in the nearby area, and none of them can compare to Township Bagel. I have only lived in the area for a short time but I've visited this place a bunch of times already. I have tried many different things on the menu, and all of them are excellent. I am really disappointed. I got 3 breakfast sandwiches, I said on the phone which 2 I wanted with ketchup with and they put ketchup on the one I said I did not want it on. It was a chocolate chip bagel with ketchup, ew. Also, I ordered hash browns on the phone and I did not get them with my order. The girl read me my order back and everything was correct so I don't know how everything got messed up. Very tasty bagels, unfortunately on the weekend it's hard to even get one. We've been there numerous times on a Saturday around 10am to find literally ZERO bagels left. The most recent time being a couple weekends ago. I was told to call ahead, but honestly I'm not going to go through the hassle of waking up extra early on a Saturday to call this place to put one or two bagels to the side for me. I don't even know if they do that.... but hopefully they will make an attempt to keep the place better stocked or get a second delivery from their other location. I cannot get enough of this place. First, the people who run the show are amazing. Every time I call, no matter how busy they are, they are the sweetest! When I come in to pick up my stuff or eat, they are all so courteous and polite. They just seem like they're so happy to be there, which makes me want to eat there all the time! A really solid bagel place. I love bagels and this is as close to ny/ north jersey bagel i have found in south jersey. The homemade cream cheeses are great. My only complaint is that they tend to run out of salt bagels really early in the morning. My husband loves the sandwiches, I love the salt bagel with scallion cream cheese! I have also had the tuna salad on a bagel, which is great, but would have been better on a salt bagel. ;) read more
