It's definitely much better than the San Mateo one in every way - well ventilated, clean, well lit, and most importantly, BIGGER than the San Mateo location. I ordered decaffeinated tea with passion fruit, light sweet, no milk, light boba.The thing I love about tpumps is that they're consistent with the quality of their product every time. Sorry T Pumps but you are no good. I have given you multiple tries... *Drinks: apparently 50% sugar = NORMAL sweetness. How does that even make sense? So....100% sugar = VERY sweet?? Hmm...100% means more but doesn't 100% mean normal whole? If it's more then shouldn't it be over 100%? Hmm......someone needs to think more about their MATH. I ordered Mango Passion Strawberry with boba & Taro with boba (both 50% sugar). It was the sweetest drinks I have ever had. It was literally 100% compared to other places, if not more. 1. Mango Passion Strawberry: no mango & no passion flavor...ONLY strawberry. It tasted VERY POWDERY, nonetheless....it strongly reminds me of that nasty strawberry flavor medicine kids drink. The ones that makes you "eek!" Sorry drink but I had to toss you in the GARBAGE after 2 gulps.... 2. Taro: this was more tolerable. Although it was still SUPER sweet, it was less compared to the Mango Passion Strawberry and I was able to get through half of it. The flavor was slightly more accurate ... Taro...compared to #1. Boba Balls: I must say...it was not too bad. But it is not enough to get me to come back again. *Atmosphere: for some reason when you walk in, you get this empty feeling but physically...it's not that empty. Maybe it's just me. I was planning a company picnic and my boss had mentioned to look for a boba vendor. I have always seen people rent the TPumps equipment for family parties and stuff but since the picnic was for over 100 people I thought it would be better to have people actually serving the drinks. So I'll try to make this review organized and not just one huge paragraph that looks too intimidating to read lol. 1. Response Time: I emailed their catering email and got a response fairly quick from Kristina. I believe it was the same day. She was super nice and patient with me because I had so many questions and changed the headcount a few times. 2. Customer Service: I can not stress enough how nice their team was. Abraham contacted me the day before the event and pretty much went over everything and he was super nice. Which was comforting because i had a few vendors lined up so it got kind of hectic putting everything together. I didn't catch his partners name but she was super nice too. I think when you're planning a work event, you worry about your vendors being nice to the attendees and their kids - especially their kids. Abraham and his partner did a great job serving the drinks and answering any questions that were thrown their way. They were always smiling and looked like they enjoyed being there. 3. Overview: Would I recommend to have Tpumps cater your next event? Definitely. 100 times yes. They made everything so easy for me and the cost of it all was worth it. You really don't mind spending money on a vendor when the end result is having a really good turn out and happy guests. Service was friendly; I was offered a free sample in line and the cashier was able to answer all my questions thoroughly! I ordered the pumpo black milk tea with boba (*sadface* they don't sell grass jelly)!! A bit disappointed also because the milk tea didn't have much tea flavor so it wasn't that enjoyable. However, surprisingly I was able to handle regular sweetness so that saved the drink from being too disastrous. Boba had the right texture and taste to it. I'm use to my favorite Peach Green Milktea at the Tpumps in San Mateo before they moved to Palo Alto. Sad by the prospect, I randomly stopped by and was unhappy to find that they don't taste exactly the same as the one in San Mateo. I think the amount of sweetener and flavor syrup they use vary so it was a lot sweeter. I love how it's easy to order, with the guided steps. I had the almond roca, though I asked for no sweetness, the syrup from the flavor was sweet enough already. I had the 'milk' which was lactose free, I think it's non dairy creamer. It was good though. The line was worth it if you get boba drinks. Their boba is super soft! Their guava green tea was a bit disappointing though with normal sweetness. Lots of it was just the syrup, so it's not like it's super fresh. read more

All the employees are nice and friendly even during busy hours. You can choose up to three flavors with no additional charge. They also have some recommendations on what you should mix. They have cool flavors that you could choose from such as Sea Salt or Pomegranate. The price for a regular is $3.50! Pretty much the same deal as their other locations. It's just closer to home, so of course I'm going to love it! You can look for my other review on Tpumps to get a more detailed explanation of what I think of this delectable drink spot. I'll try to add something new here. Drinks are delectable and consistent! I haven't been upset with anything I've ordered yet. I'm always trying to find a flavor combination that I can call mine. It doesn't help that there are so many options, but it definitely helps that everything tastes great! I have to say, taro and almond roca are my faves. A plus? THE SIZE OF THE STORE! Yes, the store is slightly larger than the one in San Mateo. Also, there are TWO CASH REGISTERS! While there will still be lines, you won't have to wait in the snake of a line that slithers out the door and around the corner, or if you do, it won't be too long. The larger store also has a larger waiting area, which is good because I won't have to feel too jealous that I'm in the "order" line and want to punch people in the "pick-up" line when they bump into me with that confident, "I JUST ORDERED 20 DRINKS FOR ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY" posture. You know the one... back straight, elbows out, smiles on their faces. Instead, I just feel jealous. No physical animosity here! Negatives? Oh... You owner you... You think you're so smart... My first time at a Tpumps, and there was no line/wait! Easily walkable from public parking lots (Sarah A. and I had just eaten at Stacks). We got to try two free samples, one was a peach kiwi green tea, and the other was green apple, mint something -- both very refreshing! I went for a large (Pumpbo) size, Chocolate and Taro black milk tea with the honey boba, normal sweetness. Wow, that jumbo size cup is quite massive! Chocolate & Taro is a combination I picked up from Teabo Cafe in Davis (known as ChoTaro), and as a Manager's Special flavor at Tapioca Express in Natomas, and Tpumps' version did not disappoint! Don't know if I'd ever find myself at the SF or San Jose locations, but the drink really hit the spot on a sunny afternoon before the long drive back to Davis/Sac. read more

Came here with bf and friend. I got really excited due to the reviews from yelp and the long line that I had to stand it. Lets just say, I was really HYPED UP. To be honest, I may be VERY biased because I'm originally from LA (the 626 SGV area) where the BEST of the BEST tea places arose to opened their doors to quench our thirsty throats and stomachs.. finding a tea spot that can compare to the taste I'm use to..can be quite difficult. I'm a huge green tea person.. I like literally ALL flavor green tea..so of course I go to my staple Honey green tea. (i usually don't get boba or some call it PEARL) but since its a new place for me.. i had to check out their honey boba. I got it regular sweet and the regular size. My first sip was the tea alone. I wasn't impressed or utterly disappointed. It was just...okay. Was it AMAZEBALLS..no. Was it spit out disgusting..no. Which is why I gave it a 3 star rating of A-ok. Will I come back again? Probably if i was desperate for some cold sweet tea but other than that no. The honey boba on the other other hand was up to par to the places I'm use it. It was nice chewy with a hint of sweetness to it. It just didn't have the same balance with the tea it was with. Lets just say at the end of the night I didn't finish my tea but I did eat all of the high calorie but yummy boba. :) I'm still on the search for the next best thing up here that can compare to my teaspots in LA. read more

Haven't had an amazing boba tea until I was introduced to this place. This is one of their nicer location by the shopping area. When you first walked in, you will smell the nice aroma of fresh brewed tea. That's when you know tea is good. My two top favorites are the Honey Milk Green Tea and the Rose Passion Green Tea. Depending on what you're thirsty for, if you want something light and refreshing, I would suggest the Rose Passion Green Tea. The milk tea is amazing but it will fill you up. As a must, make sure to add tapioca. The texture is very different compared to other boba tea places. As for prices, super cheap! A regular cup here is compared to a large cup at other places but cheaper. I purchased two regular boba tea drinks for about under $5. Sweet!! read more

Second time at Tpumps, first time at this location in Burlingame. Surprisingly, there was no one in the store besides the employees. I came on a Monday afternoon around 2:00 p.m., so maybe that's why. It was also overcast and started drizzling after I left the store with my iced peach lychee green tea with honey boba. My experience here was interesting because it was unlike my previous experience at Tpumps in Outer Sunset in SF. At the Sunset Tpumps, it was jam packed because it was around 3 or 4 p.m. and all the kids had gotten out of school. The Burlingame Sunset was empty, as aforementioned. The Sunset Tpumps had a fast ordering system due to the heavy traffic whereas the Burlingame Tpumps had one cashier who talked me through everything. The Sunset Tpumps had street parking, which was hard to find. The Burlingame Tpumps had street parking, but within the Burlingame shopping center area, which is more organized and enclosed than just a bubble tea place on a street among other shops. I went into the Burlingame Tpumps wanting a regular iced milk tea with pudding as a topping. I was told by the one cashier that they don't have pudding as a topping, only boba. So I switched to my other regular order: peach green tea with lychee jelly, since I saw lychee as one of their toppings. Apparently I can't hear correctly or entirely, because I had missed the memo that Tpumps only serves boba, The lychee on the toppings menu was under a subtle subcategory of popping boba. I'm not a fan of popping boba because I don't enjoy the surprise pop of flavor in my mouth. I ended up ordering a peach lychee green tea with honey boba, which is their regular tapioca. It was delicious! Fun fact: This location has two separate tip jars, one for snow boarding and one for skiing. It looks like each tip jar is "assigned" to each POS (point of sale) machine, but the one cashier told me that I can place my tip in whichever jar one I wanted, so I tipped skiing. Just for fun. This last weekend we had t pumps do a boba catering at our wedding and it was the most amazing thing ever. Our guests loved it and we couldn't stop hearing about how cool it was to have boba at a wedding! The staff made the process super simple, we emailed them, they gave us the options for serving, went to the store to choose flavors, then on the day of our friends picked it up. We went with a DIY boba bar, so guests would scoop their own boba then pour their own drinks. They gave us 6 tanks so the lines moved really quickly which was helpful because we had 270 people at our wedding. All we had to do was return the tanks cleaned up a few days later. While the boba was awesome, Tpumps gets a 10/5 for their service. The staff we communicated with over email was so amazing, they even coordinated the straw colors to our wedding colors! The staff at the Burlingame store was also a 10/5. They helped load the tanks, and helped unload when we came back to drop off, and did it all with smiles. I can't recommend tpumps for catering enough. DO ITTTTT!!!!! read more

Until one day, I look at the menu, there is a little line says 'extra 50 cents for additional boba' that explain why they give little amount when you first order. I visited Tpumps for the first time ever last night while in downtown Burlingame. I had heard about the horrendous lines out the door at the Cupertino and San Mateo locations, but at around 830 on a Wednesday night, the line was super short. The interior isn't very interesting - not much to look at. While waiting, I looked up at the giant menu behind the register to decide what I wanted. You pick a size and whether you want your drink cold or hot. You can also indicate how sweet you want your drink: none, low, normal, and very sweet. You also have the option of adding lactose-free milk. Then you pick up to three flavors from the flavor list. There was peach, lychee/litchi, mango, passion fruit, blackberry, and a bunch more. Then you pick what kind of boba you want. I'm guessing their popping boba is quite popular. And the popping boba comes in flavors too. Then you pick what kind of tea you want: black, green, and decaf. Lots of steps! I chose to have an iced drink with low level of sweetness and no milk. I picked passion fruit and mango as my flavors and picked mango popping boba and opted for decaf tea since it was so late in the evening. The guy taking my order was awesome. He was really nice and answered all of my questions. I told him it was my first time at Tpumps and so he was really patient with me (it probably helped that there wasn't a huge line behind me though). He wrote down and circled my options right onto the plastic cup. I paid for my drink with credit card via square. I left the register to the area where the drinks come out and in like less than a minute, my drink came out! So fast! My drink was really light colored, perhaps because it was decaf tea? I grabbed a cute purple straw (they are individually wrapped) and started sipping. It was just the right level of sweetness but the flavors weren't too strong. The popping boba was interesting - definitely wasn't as chewy as the regular tapioca boba. More like little balls of jello. The drink was refreshing but it wasn't like super amazing. The lines are a little more spacious and shorter, they make your drinks faster and they are more consistent with their flavors and sugar levels. The place is still hot and stuffy as hell though, but you get out of there quicker. They take card and I think it's a few pennies cheaper than the one in SM. And I always get the honey boba.
