We were having lunch with a friend nearby and we happened to park right in front of Tpumps! I knew what we were gonna have for dessert/drink! I couldn't wait. I walked straight up to the cash register and ordered. The drink was a little disappointing. I didn't have time to have them remake my drink. Overall there wasn't much customer service. I always go for the litchi black milk tea with big balls.you can also manage how sweet you want it too. Make sure you tell them regular size otherwise they will size you up to the humongous one...Go to the Burlingame one, San Mateo is crowded and smaller and no efficient as Burlingame. Not sure if the minimal lines here are due to the fact that it's a newer location, but I would think that because it's somewhat new, there would be more hype around it? In any case, I love that there's almost no line at this location, compared to the other ones. You can pick up to 3 flavors, black or green tea, pick if you want milk or not, and if you want honey boba at no charge. A 16 oz for $2.95 is super reasonable, and i love their chewy honey boba because it's soft but not mushy. I also really like their new guava flavor and would recommend pairing that with mango and green tea for a tropical combination. read more

I am obsessed with my peach green tea with honey boba from TPumps. Burlingame is one of my favorite locations (also closest to my house!). It's easier for me to find parking than in the San Mateo location. I've tried other flavors but it just wasn't as good as their peach green tea (light sweet). You know I love my T-Pumps, this place is starting to take over the whole Bay. I saw people on the streets of Burlingame drinking T-Pumps, so I logged onto Yelp to see where it was located. Bingo, walked over and got in line. To my surprise they had Rose as a new flavor, I mixed that with peppermint, tasted really good. Be sure to use your five stars. My only concern is the layout of this store. They should have designed a better exit, instead of us wiggling our way through the thirsty people. Like stairs on the right side. I'm surprised there isn't something similar to Tpumps in Southern California. You can basically mix and match a bunch of flavors (up to three) and get it in slushie, milk tea, tea, etc form. There are so many combinations that you can spend your whole time in line figuring out what to get. Luckily, if you are indecisive like me they put popular flavors up. You can try any of those or make your own. I ended up doing a combination of Pomegranate and Mango. It was more sweet than tart, which I was hoping the opposite. Boba was ok and they didn't fill my drink all the way up. There was a good amount of empty space they could have filled with more tea or ice. This is a "get your boba and get out" kind of place. When I stayed in Burlingame for three weeks for work training, I was so excited to be close to decent boba that I went 9 times in the span of 18 days.... yeah, I like boba. I really like the fact that you can customize just about anything, from the flavors, to the tea itself, to the free topping. Be warned though, the light option for sweetness is still VERY sweet, especially since the honey boba (if you choose this topping) is sweetened already. I highly recommend asking for 'very light' if you don't like overly sweet drinks. The store does say that they'll remake it for you if it's not to your liking, so maybe just go very light first and then if you want more, they can just add more sugar to it? The first time I got a honeydew milk tea and it was kinda powdery... not sure if it was the milk or the honeydew flavor. I finally got around to giving Tpumps a try! I can see why everyone talks about it all of the time. There are so many flavor options and combinations to try I don't see how anyone could ever try everything. I loved the blackberry, mango, rose combination with light sweetened. I can see some of these drinks vein too sweet for some though! So be wary when picking your sweetness/flavor options. However, it was the perfect mix of sweetness and fruitiness for me with the herbal touch from the rose. Will definitely have to be back to try so many more flavors! read more

Super unique flavor varieties. While I was waiting, I got to sample a coconut salted caramel milk tea- definitely haven't had that elsewhere! While it tasted good, it was incredibly sweet, so these drinks feel more like dessert than tea. I got a rose decaf tea with boba. It was good. It's been a staple of quality boba for a long time and I'm happy that even after all these years their quality hasn't changed nor have they raised their prices to unreasonable levels like some other boba shops have (iTea, etc). However, while I really enjoy their soft honey boba, their drinks have gotten way to sweet for my taste. This may have suited may when I was younger but now, I would much rather have a genuine tea taste instead of super sweet sugar. Many times I've gotten drinks that have made me nauseated just because they have been too sweet. Now, whenever I go I will only order one drink: honey peach green milk tea with honey boba and light sugar. It's still sweet but it's well worth the $3.50 and is enjoyable!
