It's a Tuesday so I assumed I would get quick time and hot fresh pizza. Unfortunately I got luke warm not so fresh pizza after 1 1/2 hours after I ordered. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza with pepperoni and the flavor was good but the chicken was dry and wasn't enough BBQ sauce so unless dip every bite in sauce it makes you very thirsty. I also had an Alfredo chicken and it was good in flavor and the pizza had enough sauce but they used the same dry chicken. The bread sticks were very good (almost cold by time i got them but still good) but a bit pricy for the amount they give. I would try one more time from them but if same then I'll leave my review if improved or better I'll update my review. But so far not worth buying from for price, wait, and freshness read more

My family and I really like the food here, service is almost always slow. We felt like staying in recently and ordered for delivery. After waiting the average 45 minutes, we received a phone call letting us know that our delivery wouldnt be made for another hour and a half. Frustrating yes, so we opted to go and pick up. I stood there waiting for another 20 minutes for the food to be ready. All in all, the pizza is good, the service is slow but polite but definetly will never ever get delivery again and will think twice about going here to eat again. read more

Brought a large party of 8 here and was highly disappointed in the service (and the parking here is also atrocious). We were seated immediately, however, there seemed to be some sort of miscommunication about which server's section we were in. We patiently waited for a server to greet us, and at least bring us water......and when no one came AFTER 27 MINUTES, I went up and brought the fact we still hadn't been greeted up to the host that had seated us. He seemed apologetic and said he'd find us a server. We then watched as he went around to the various waitresses and they all seemed to have some debate as to who's section we were in. I don't know, maybe we were at shift change or something. Needless to say, after a half hour of being seated and not even having our orders taken, we walked out and went to the Pizza Hut across the street (and surprisingly had a great experience there). read more

Kassandra, our server was fantastic! She was very attentive to our needs and friendly. She definitely needs a raise!! Out of the 4 girls there, she seemed to be the only one putting in work while others just hovered near the station kiosk, were on there cellphones or just chatting. Also, these other girls didn't really acknowledge or thank people as they came in and left. I think some tweaking needs to be done about their lack of customer service, as it makes the difference from being a "5" star place. Nice and accommodating staff, but it's awkward walking in from the street and being greeted by a sign that tells you to walk through the restaurant to the back and stand in front of the other entrance before you're seated. I didn't see a whole lot of people filing in from the parking lot entrance so it seems to me the street entrance is the primary one. Regardless, they should consider having a hostess on both ends, or at least have a waiter/tress come greet you. After a considerable wait for apps, they ended up bringing the wrong wings, for which they profusely apologized and then brought a plate of the correct ones about 5 mins later. Neither set was anything to write home about. I also ordered the Blue Train pizza, which from the picture is shown to be topped with arugula but the description says spinach. Regardless, it was delicious. The meatball sandwich was okay. Their marinara in general is very bland so it doesn't even give the sandwich a fighting chance. We ordered two 12 inch pizzas and a salad... $54 Rip-off! Our pizzas were about 30 seconds away from being raw, which is incredible since it took so long for them to arrive at our table?! I have been going to this pizza place for about a decade for a reason. Good food and good service. I'm not much for writing reviews, but I thought tonight's experience deserved one. It was just myself and my son, and we ordered a salad and a kids make your own pizza! I have worked as a server and therefore HATE sending food back or complaining. However, without leaving details, we had two issues which majorly affected our meals. The waitress was so kind and helpful in reconciling our issues! Prompt, quick, happy to make things right! Stopped by Trackside last night. Met quickly at the door and assigned a table, however, the table was dirty. We moved to another table that was clean but behind a wall and soon we felt we were "forgotten" by the staff. When we reminded the wait staff we were there the service improved greatly. My wife ordered a wine she thought tasted bad and they replaced it with no problem. The salads, entrees and pizzas were delivered prompt, fresh and hot. Very delicious. When I come back to area, I will probably return. While there, three trains went by (two passenger; one freight) which was a treat for the toddler with us! read more

The ONLY critique of Trackside is the price. A bit on the high side, but with that being said... this pizza is: THE BOMB!!! I used to complain about other restaurants serving crappy food for cheap prices. And I've always said..."Raise your prices a bit and serve great food". So I'm not really complaining, complaining about their prices. Although I would eat here more often if the prices we're a bit more reasonable. One of my favorite pizzas anywhere, all time, is the grand trunk express. Creative take on pizza with a ton of toppings (sort of a dream supreme) and the veggies staying crisp and unscathed by cheese or sauce. The service is fine. They do tend to get busy and behind, however the staff is friendly. The atmosphere is cool and embodies the downtown feel well. People walking by on sidewalks, heading to a local shop, spot or perhaps the park. Yes the train is literally close enough that it feels like a station. It beckons you to board as if the next one might stop and conductor will peek his head out and cry "all aboard". It's cool. At least I think it's cool. I don't mind the loudness, whether it's kids in our group or a night out. It is dine in pizza and on the more expensive side. Well worth it in my book. read more

Wonderful pizza. We ordered a do it yourself pizza, lasagna and a pizza off the kid's menu. Everything was delicious and my 5yo granddaughter had a wonderful time making her own pizza. The service was gracious and attentive. Only 1 small quibble and not enough to take away a star. The brownie dessert tasted like it was from a mix but we all ate it anyway. I absolutely love this place! We are there quite often on Mon & Tues when they have their 2-fer deals. Great lunch buffet! When the children order their own, they bring them the dough on a plate and all the toppings and sauce on the side so they can make their own the way they like it. Then they have the kids take their pizza to the cook and have them yell "Pie up!" and the cook yells it back! My daughters are teenagers now and too old for the kids pizza, but that's why I have firends with little ones! The kids love the train when it buzzes by about 20 feet from the restaurant! I'm not a huge fan of pizza but these guys do it really well. The bruschetta is fantastic and I sometimes take my 6 and 7 year-old boys there simply for it. This place is very kid/family friendly but just as welcoming to a group of twenty-something's. My appreciation for Trackside truly grew when I discovered that they delivered up on South Hill. The delivery was very fast, the food was packaged well and the perfect temperature. The cookies were very warm and gooey as if they'd just come out of the oven. Also, DeAnne E. who was obviously looking for a bar, as evidenced by trying Bumpy's and the TK first, was bound to be disappointed by an establishment that is NOT a BAR. My husband does not like pizza. But...he loves the pizza at Trackside. Service is good, fun atmosphere, party room available. Pleanty of parking available across the railroad tracks at the "old Cornford Campbell" parking lot. Kids get to make their own pizza and yell "pie up" as it goes into the oven. I have eaten here twice and both times it was a dumb choice. The pizza arrived about 45 mins after we ordered ... there were only 5 other tables that were busy in the place... then it was burnt- black burnt... not flour burnt. Teens run the place- so expect the same type of service as if you asked them to clean their room when yuo ask for a glass of water... Its over priced and really not all that its cracked up to be. I went there for the lunch buffet which is usually a great experience!! However today was one of the worst dining experiences of my life.. I sat for almost 10 minutes before I was acknowledged. I LOVE the Athenian pizza my only reason for not giving this place 5 stars is the price.... For the office I work in we ordered 2 large pizzas and a large salad... how much did it end up costing??? 98$!!!!!!! They were specialty pizzas and specialty salad but still 98$?? My office sometimes goes to Mama Stortini's(a nice italian restaurant close by) and everyone orders what they want and we get an appetizer and that was cheaper. Nice pizza quality. Very different and good. Service is horrible. Usually some high school kid that knows nothing about the biz. They will leave you standing at the hostess station until they get around to it! Then you'll sit and wait for drinks until someone final asks "have you been helped"? NO ! I love Trackside! It's a great place to bring the kids! Every time a train roars by, you can feel the whole restaurant shake which is really cool. Service is great, usual. The decor is actually pretty nice being all train themed. Now, onto food. Though the pizza can be a little soggy some times, it is good pizza. Make sure you check out the breadstick too! Those are legit! And the kids will love making their own pan pizza and yelling "Pie up!" to the chef as they put it into the oven. They also have big, private party rooms which is great if you're going with a kids' sports team like we were. Location is quaint and perfect, right in the heart of cute, little, downtown Puyallup. All in all, I would totally recommend Trackside Pizza. And honestly, you really can't beat the atmosphere - the tracks are only a couple feet away! read more
