Driven by this place a thousand times and my family and I finally decided to try it out. We wanted to keep it simple: 16" Pepperoni Pizza, Baked Lasagna, Fettuccine Alfredo, and a house salad. This rating is based more on value than quality of food. As for the latter, Trackside has better pizza overall than the more common chains, and I can't say it warrants the wood fire pizza places in the area. What Trackside gives you for the price is simply not worth it. The profit margins this place has must be crazy good, especially for their desserts. Do NOT order ice cream or cookies - it is absurd what they feel they can charge for things you could easily get for yourself for a slim fraction of the cost. This place is great! I live about 25 miles away so I had never even heard of this place, but I will definitely be back!!! The place is clean inside and out. The smell that hits you when you walk in is phenomenal. The service was great, very friendly and fast. The food was amazing (the marinara is to die for)! And to top it all off, it's very reasonably priced! My husband and I ate here for under $23. I will definitely be telling all my friends about this place and they can expect me back very soon!!!! read more

I really enjoyed my first experienced here. We attended a birthday party in the private banquet room that seats a large group. The food is affordable and taste fairly good. I recommend this establishment for families and casual gatherings. We ordered a number of pizzas and a variety of salads and everything we ordered tasted fresh and delicious. read more

The pizza's not bad, not great, but the service every time I have been here has been simply awful. I have gone in once for lunch with a friend, once for dinner with my family, and a few times for larger family gatherings. Every time service is abysmally slow, even if the restaurant is not busy. They will literally stand at the hostess station chatting, looking right at your table, and you still have to walk over to them to get a drink refilled or the check. Ridiculous. read more

We took our grandkids to our favorite place for grandkid pizza. The pizzas came to table 50 minutes after ordering. The adult pizza was disastrously over cooked. Waitress did not seem to be engaged, nor apologetic. This was less than a pleasant experience. Grandkids acknowledged the sub-par meal experience even though their 'pie up" pizzas were okay. I had wanted to eat at this place since last summer. The place shakes a bit when the trains go by for real. Best parking is behind the place. The pizza is delicious, we ate veggie, and the garlic bread was incredible. I was pretty full on bread and salad when the pizza finally arrived. The waiter told us they would deliver to our house, about 20 minutes away, which impressed me. If I was really hungry during the week, I think the buffet would be the best deal around. Something like $7.00 or something. I don't know where to find better pizza in the valley. My only complaint was how cold it was in the restaurant. read more

I have reserved the side room twice & both times our server was worthless! Neither time did they clear plates or ask if everything was ok. Once you track someone down in the restaurant they act like it's an inconvenience to get you anything else. I guess when gratuity is added on automatically the service dispears. Seriously we were clearing our own tables & not once did someone take the stack of plates we were forced to set by the sink so we could continue with Birthday festivities. Not a place we recommend. Pizzas are very small and expensive for the size. The 10 inch pizza ended up costing 22 bucks bc they priced each topping. All the toppings fell off the pizza so we were eating bread and cheese with toppings on the side. Got the spinach dip for an appetizer and it was tiny and cost 11 bucks. Disappointed! We had the banquet room for 35+ people, we had 1 waitress to hand this group. Even with one the waitress rocked it by herself (you can only do so much when your by yourself). The soda choices are disgusting, no typical Coke or Pepsi products~ Many opted out of the soda option after tasting the products. When I order pizza I would love a nice RootBeer or even a Sprite. I hope they are having success with their new soda choices, but not too many out of a large group had any! Our pizza was forgotten or passed onto someone else, we were giving a 50% off for the mistake, which was nice! We still walked out with a total of $30.00 for a Large Pepperoni and half pineapple and a kids cheese pizza with 3 waters. Their normal pricing for a Large Pepperoni and Half pineapple Is $31.00, NOT worth the price for a Large 1 1/2 topping pizza! Expensive! I was so excited when this place opened. I worked downtown and the options are quite limited unless you want to drive up to South Hill. The pizza is good and the staff is always accommodating. The lunch buffet is worth the price. The blush wine vinaigrette dressing is amazing. Also, it's one of the few non-chain restaurants downtown that's open on Mondays. read more

This place has really gone downhill. Have ate here about 4 times in the last 6 months and every experience the same. They burn the pizza and their appetizer rosemary bread sticks come out black on the bottom. Thats the best news I have for you. The service...there is none. You will wait and wait. The last time here we just walked out after no drinks for a half hour with only 4 other tables being used. They like many places now place a priority on to go orders. They can care less about actually in house customers. They have one wait staff. If they were smart they would let patrons grab their own drinks. I believe this is owned by the same group that owns Crockets and Meridian Café. Have had friends describe similar at those locations. In any case they will no longer receive a dime of my $$. I left this establishment and went to Rock Pizza where I was welcomed and received service promptly. I recommend Rock Pizza in Puyallup south hill or Casa Mia down the street from Trackside. This pizza is amazing! I understand that some could quibble with the prices, and they are a bit higher than delivery or store-bought pizza. However, I prefer to pay for quality and I think that the quality of pizza at Trackside is higher than delivery or store-bought and is equivalent to the dollar cost. Add in the welcoming and friendly staff, and the creative decorations adorning the walls, and I think there's a deal here. read more

Visited Trackside yesterday with my family and some friends and their family. Kids can create their own pizzas, so it's interactive and fun! Pizza isn't the best locally overall, but good (probably top 10 in pierce county, maybe best in Puyallup?); fresh ingredients and pretty decent crust. Salad was ok - my two favorite dressings aren't even offered there (French or Honey Mustard), so I settled for Thousand Island. The ambiance of the building rumbling when a train goes by is kinda cool and unique, too. And considering I'm a football fan and we went there on a Sunday, I'd love to see some games on some TV screens, but there's only one screen and from where we were sitting, we couldn't really see it. Great location, great staff, just okay pizza in my opinion... Not bad by any means; just not my favorite. If you want a family place for dinner where you can have a beer and pizza with the whole family, this is it. The pizza just seems sort of plain to me.
