The Salad was delicious. The house vinaigrette was so good and the mozzarella cheese top was so soft and fresh. Id go back for the salad alone. The pizza was very good. We had a large half bacon and sausage and half cheese. There was a LOT of meat on the boys meat half of the pizza. All of it was recognizable as bacon and sausage. No itty bitty pieces of meat. The cheese tasted fresh and the crust was the right thickness to hold everything up. We were a little surprised at the pizza prices, seemed a little pricey but we did not get to see the grand total as a very nice man sitting across from us paid for our meal and slipped out before we could thank him. THANK YOU VERY KIND STRANGER!!!! I wish you would have let us thank you for what YOU do to make our country better. Pizza fans beware!!! This place royally sucks. Me and my entire family used to be loyal customers and have spent loads of money back when they used to have a crew that could make pizza's correctly. I've gotten so many raw pizza's from these swindlers but I just wasn't ready to give up on them yet. Last night I decided to order 1 large pizza for a boxing fight and pleaded with them over the phone to bake it super well done. I explained to them that I've been getting raw ones and I don't even care if it looks burnt! just for the love of pizza don't send a raw one my way. The pizza arrived and of course it was raw...not a huge surprise right? well check this out... they decided to send a second pizza and It was once again raw!!??!? WTF. I will say that the bottom did look done but the top was so undercooked...what a shame as Gordon Ramsay would mutter in disappointment. I did something I NEVER do...which is to finally ask for a refund because it was not edible. I shit you not! they said " we already sent you second pizza... no refunds! and hung up ! Tried to call back for a manager but got hung up on yet again. Truly horrible customer service and gross raw pizza's over and over. All I can say is they go out of their way!! I got married and instead of cake I was having a 6 tier pizza cake. They helped me by offering to let me put a deposit in the screens they cook the pizza onto make an easy transition to the cake tier we made, worked out perfect! If I could leave negative stars, I would. Our experience at Trackside - Puyallup last night was the worst customer service I have ever received. It is one thing to have kitchen issues, that is understandable and happens to establishments all over. We understand restaurants are short staffed right now and we were willing to wait for our food. However, when you start accusing customers of being "rude" (when we waited two hours for a burnt pizza, and our response was simply that's okay), that is when our experience quickly turned from okay to awful. We only received one of the three pizzas we ordered. Not only were the 2 waitresses giving us dirty looks while we waited for our extremely slow pizza, the "manager" that they brought over from Crocketts had the worst attitude I have experienced in customer service. Marika was the employee's name, and she has lost customers for Trackside Puyallup and Crocketts for life with us. She had a horrible attitude, talked down to us the entire encounter, and only made excuses. Whoever actually manages this location needs to step in and make some changes ASAP. Will never return, very very disappointed in our awful experience at Trackside Puyallup. read more

Called them, only option was to leave a voicemail. Have given it a few days now, and no response. Disappointing. You'd think, the owner and/or management would at the very least return my call. But tonight I had pizza for delivery, and I have had delivery with them a couple times and it was just as good as when you go in. But today's delivery, the pizza was kind of cold, the breadsticks were all over the place like they were already into, they were kind of stale, definitely not as good as before, the pizza wasn't all the way done and The bottom of the box was wet and the pizza in the middle of the crust was kind of soggy and it's expensive so we would want good quality every time so hopefully next time will be better read more

Wow, where do I start with this pizza! We were told about this place from a coworker and they mentioned a location in Sumner so being newer to the Puyallup location were excited to see them have one close by. We decided to dine in on a Sunday afternoon, aside from our family of 5 only other customers eating there was a family of 3. We ordered 2 pizzas, the names escape me because we ate it up so fast I couldn't even think! I will say the cooking time was LOOOOONNGG but we knew not to expect for pizza that good to be made so quickly. Toppings tasted fresh and the crust had the perfect crunch to it. Highly recommended. They do not value customer service here. The pizza has always kept us coming back but after our last visit, I think it will be our last. We ordered on the app at 4:30pm on a Monday. The estimated pick up time was 90+ minutes so we called the restaurant to verify the unexpected delay and the gal on the phone said "come in 15 minutes". When we got to Trackside in 20 mins, the pizza hadn't been started. They started the pizza and when we got home, they did not read and make the pizza without mushrooms, as per the order. When we called to let them know of the numerous disappointments, the manager (name started with a J) said he would "try to refund/discount the pizza". It's been 15 days and nothing was remedied with my bank. This is unfortunately not the first time that quality control has bittered our experience. Love the expensive pie but the lack of attention to detail and poor customer service make it not worth it. read more

We have been here several times over the years and enjoyed our experiences. Unfortunately, last night's wasn't one of them. We ordered the family dinner and requested gluten free (g/f). We received the g/f breadsticks but the pizza was not. I got up and asked our server if the pizza was g/f and she informed me it wasn't, so I asked if they could remake it. The mistake pizza was left on our table and shortly after she came back to inform us we would be charged additionally for the new pizza. I told her to take the original pizza away because we didn't want to be charged for their mistake. The g/f pizza was horrible. The crust was completely soggy and the pizza was extremely small in size. The service was a bit slow with no one in the restaurant but our server was very friendly. As we left, we noticed our mistake pizza on a table where the staff was eating it, not the most professional scene! After this experience we won't be back, which is unfortunate because my kids love seeing the trains go by. read more

My daughter and family just moved here from Texas. I'm visiting and they took me here for dinner. So glad they did! It's located right by the railroad tracks (hence the name). We sat ourselves, and our waiter Dwayne brought us menus. He was awesome! For kids, they bring them their own pizza crust, and whatever ingredients the kids want so they can build their own pizza! Cute, right? My granddaughter loved that! Once she was finished making her pizza, Dwayne came by and told her to say "Pie up!" He walked over with her to the pizza making station and told her to yell "Pie Up" again, and when she did, the whole crew yelled "Pie Up!" What a fun experience! We ordered the The South Sounder and The Hurricane Express pizzas. I don't know which one I liked better! The Hurricane Express chockfull of meatballs, mozzarella, calabrian peppers, red onion, black olives, and parsley, with a crispy crust and a bit of spice. And The South Sounder with an alfredo base, cheese, green onion, Gorgonzola, and buffalo chicken, so so delicious! While we were there, several trains just feet away from the restaurant passed by, adding to the whole fun experience. In addition to the excellent food, we were super lucky to have such a nice and attentive waiter for our first experience there. I could see that the whole staff was great! Came back to visit after a long day of sports! Was excited as this time we had the kids and had the opportunity to sit and eat inside. We entered the place from the main road Meridian (it has two entrances) as when we walked in we had to walk to the back to be seated. We were seated right away and the hostess helped us with our drink orders... that was about 10 minutes ago. No waitress showed up. We had to flag someone down and when asked if she was our waitress she replied ...I can be?? The reason was we wanted information on what beers they had on tap. With her response we lost our train of thought and never even asked about the beer. I'm stumped as who our waitress would be. So she took our order for two pizzas and breadsticks and left. Another waitress walked by 2-3 times and said nothing. I wanted to know who was our actual waitress and if she would show.. alas no one did. Oh well!. It took about 25 minutes to get the breadsticks and another To get out pizzas. They tasted great but I was a little disappointed that it was so small. For almost $10, I would expect a larger portion. The pizzas finally arrived and for two 12 inch pizzas it was $15 and $18. I can taste the freshness of the pizza and ingredients and I love that it's baked in a brick oven but I'm sorry to say we may not revisit with the family as it's super expensive! And I felt we didn't get the entire experience ...pizza racks, pizza spatulas shit plates. And it was a hassle to get a refill. Overall we were happy with the food but the service lacked. read more

I am a believer in getting what you pay for. With that said, I have always been a big fan of Trackside Pizza even knowing it's a bit on the pricey side. I just spent almost $80 for a 16" pepperoni pizza, a full size salad and a personal size 2 item pizza of which one item is considered free. The personal pizza had come apart in the box & smeared throughout. The large pizza had bubbled so much throughout the cooking process that not a single slice wasn't affected and was crispy on all of the areas that had no cheese, and both pizzas were barely warm. The salad was...well a salad, no complaints. The prices have of course gone up like all things. But in this day and age if you're in business serving food to the public, you need creativity and you better have your "A" game with every order! This was shameful!!! I've had better frozen pizza than the product you're producing!!! read more

I never miss an opportunity to thank someone for introducing me to something great. Today, I need to thank my 20 month old. Yes, if it wasn't for his total and utter obsession with trains, we never would have tried this place. You see, the joint is literally steps away from a busy set of tracks and even has window tables where you can watch the trains zoom by; which is exactly what we did. The expression of my son's face the first time he realized that not only were mom and dad feeding him pizza, but that he had a window seat to watch massive trains blow by, was priceless. The service was friendly, the pizza was tasty and the vibe was right. All the stars aligned to make this a perfect evening. And, seeing my kid's happy face, I mean, I could have been eating cardboard and would have enjoyed it. This place is far from cardboard though... We tried one of their specialty pizzas that had spicey Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, red peppers, green peppers and maybe a few other toppings. It was very tasty. The pizzas tend to be a little pricey, but it is certainly a quality product. And, if you have a train-crazed kid, like us, it is the express to a happy babe and a full belly; a winning combination. read more

My son loves trains and pizza. So, Trackside Pizza seems like the natural choice. We usually frequent the Rock for their pizza buffet at lunch. I saw online that the trackside had a lunch buffet. So, I thought I would give it a try. We walked in and no one was there to greet us. We saw there were only two tables in which you could kind of see the trains (someone obviously missed the lucrative prospect of pizza, children, and trains that could easily been seen). The place was not busy and there were many open tables. After 5 more minutes we were told we could take any table. We said we wanted the buffet. NO instructions or information about how to make that happen. After 5-10 minutes I walked up to bar/kitchen and we saw the buffet pizza sitting there waiting to be consumed. Had to ask, how do we get to that pizza behind the glass? We were told we had to wait for our waitress. Now it had been 15 minutes, we told the waitress when we walked in that we wanted the buffet. Apparently she had forgotten because she offered menus. Okay, again we wanted the buffet and why not the "make your own pizza" for my son. That sounds like fun. Apparently there is a liaison between me and my buffet pizza because your waitress brings you your pizza. Please governor, may I have some more? They will bring one to two pieces at a time. Which took forever to get? Now I am really hungry with a headache. I had to wait over 25 minutes to eat at the "buffet" and please remember the pizza was already made and the place was not busy. Then when I was done with my initial two pieces I had to ask for more. It felt weird. The pizza did not compare to the Rock. It was probably in the same category with the Casa Mia Pizza in Puyallup (which is alright nothing memorable). The ironic thing is most restaurants make the children's meal really cheap to get the parents in. We paid the most for my son's small personal pizza, that he got to make, and did not eat (what toddler eats). We brought this irony up to the staff who could not really give us a good reason other than he got to put the cheese on the pizza. I refuse to go back due to the lack of customer service, the wait time, and the false advertisement of a buffet. I have returned to the Rock where my son eats for free, I do not have a food liaison, and the pizza is superior. My son begs to come back to eat pizza and see trains (he wants to see the trains). My husband takes my son without me, saying he is going to the place where the buffet is held hostage. read more

I'd give more stars based on the food and friendly service but I'm kind of miffed. If you dine with a large group, the gratuity is automatically added to to your bill. Not at all uncommon. What was strange to me was the gratuity on a $33 bill came out to $8.50 on our receipt. I politely asked what percentage the automatic gratuity was and was assured it was 18% (again, very standard). However $8.50 on a $33 bill is almost 26%! Our server checked and then returned to explain the gratuity was calculated on the regular cost of the pizzas we ordered ($21.95/each) instead of the $30 special we ordered. Not going to cry over $2.50 but this business practice seems...questionable. Don't think we'll be coming back. read more

Admittedly, I made this account to express myself to (hopefully) the owners of this establishment. I recently brought my new girlfriend to trackside, as she had never been to Puyallup or sampled any of their pizza. I have been in a couple of times, tried various creations and have loved the food every time. Actually, the service has been pretty great every time I have been there. My server actually wasn't a problem at all. HOWEVER, this particular night there was a couple of employees bickering at each other the ENTIRE TIME. Trust me, by the end of the night the entire restaurant knew that the chubby guy with the sad beard and the manager girl with fancy hair were in the midst of an unsuccessful relationship. She must have yelled at him in front of customers a half a dozen times, only to hear him curse at other employees to take out his anger. Now I know what you're thinking, he didn't wait until he got back into the kitchen. He chose to curse RIGHT NEXT to my table. My girlfriend at one point even said, "not the happiest couple in the world, huh?" Mind you, my girlfriend and I were at the edge of the restaurant near the television. So the servers rang in their orders right near us, it would have been hard not to hear SOME things. Well, we heard everything. Given that I had praised the restaurant prior to our visit, I was a little embarrassed. Thank god the food was good or I would have had to lower the stars. Please Trackside employees, next time I come in don't let that couple re-enact another episode of Maury Povich, I don't care who the father is. read more
