Updated review: my husband took the car in for the repair because I was unavailable. The dealership did replace the melted plastic mirror cover, which we are very thankful for. My appointment was at 9:30 and the line for people at the service department was extremely long. He spent half of the day waiting for the vehicle to be finished between the part replacement and an oil change. Our service advisor wasn't there, but the person helping him said they had some people call in sick and that was the reason for the delay. I have only been to this service department a couple of times and they always seem overwhelmed and disorganized. Again, I am thankful that they replaced the part, but the whole experience was frustrating from beginning to end. I will likely find another dealership for my servicing needs in the future. And I don't park in a "highly reflective" location. I park in my driveway where other vehicles have been parked consistently for years with no issues. read more

I wanted to buy a used Toyota from them that they advertised online. I inquired on Fri afternoon asking for more price info and was willing to drive there that evening if it was available. Tina emailed me asking when I could come in to discuss options. Options? The only option I wanted was to buy the car. Being Sat I was busy, I contacted her Sun morning to find out about the car and she indicated that the car was still be processed and was not going to be ready until Mon or Tue. She said she would let me know when it was ready. This is an intriguing time to buy a car. Coming off a pandemic that created microchip shortages that stalled production have some brands scrambling for inventory. Though as chip manufacturing ramps back up, you begin to see some brands with fuller lots than others, and indication that while this may not be the /best/ time ever go buy a car, it's not hell for buyers either. It's said the definition of a fool is one who willingly pays sticker price for a car, and even in this environment, dealers have vehicles marked down, manufacturers are still offering incentives for people to buy (including Toyota). Now, with that out of the way, I am in the market for a car and have been searching online through many dealerships' inventory. A handful of dealerships never get back to you and immediately lose my business because of it. I was initially impressed with Tracy Toyota because they were quick to be in touch and followed up with inventory updates, and seemed wonderful. That is until I starting inquiring about prices and was not only told that they sell everything above MSRP, I was actually laughed at for pointing out that many other Toyota dealers have deals and are selling just below it. From a business sense, I get it,if you can bring it that kind of money, by all means. Though to be laughed at and told that "most people are willing to pay the prices for the vehicles they prefer" by Internet Sales Manager Kacey Dawson, and the laughed at, my desire to do business with these folks died. The Dealerships in Livermore, Stockton, and Modesto (among others) aren't selling their cars above MSRP, so I strongly suggest that if you are in the market for a Toyota, skip Tracy Toyota unless you're a fan of throwing money away. read more

The whole process of buying the car was not that bad, what you'd expect from a dealership; hidden fees, haggling, arguing back and forth etc. Right? What really sucks is the customer service AFTER your new cars service warranty is up. That, plus the service dept overall. Everything was great and my appointments were short and sweet when my car was under warranty, as soon as my two years came up, they started with the lazy/sketchiness. It doesn't matter what you bring it in for, all these dudes know how to do is an oil change and refill your wiper fluid. Twice now I've taken it in for tire issues and when I come back after HOURS bc yes, they take hours... They say the car "didn't need it" or found "nothing wrong" and just do an oil change. Regardless if your car is due for an oil change or not. So here I go, on the road to find a completely different place for service. On the road with possibly a nail in my tire or uneven wheels/alignment but according to Tracy Toyota "there's nothing wrong". Thanks guys! 100% will not be back! I took my 2020 4runner in for the 20,000 mile oil change and there was a small error made where I had a small Leak when I got home in manteca. I called the service dept. and right away they sent out a mechanic to fix it and clean the oil at the bottom under-carriage of the truck. The guy was quick, apologetic and I appreciate them responding so fast to make it right. I'm so used to people blaming everyone but themselves and I appreciated them taking ownership and making it right. The mechanic was very attentive to clean everything and an all around good guy. These so called professionals took over an hour to install just the rear mudguards on my Camry (two pieces of plastic) that I bought and provided them, and quoted me $135 for it. Keep in mind they were gonna do a tire rotation and balancing anyway so that should shave off a considerable amount of time prior to installing the mudguards. Also, I asked why I was quoted $135, the "advisor" told me it took them more than an hour to install these two pcs of plastic and called me out on why I just didn't do them myself. Professionals. What a joke. First and last time coming to this place. Makes me regret buying a Toyota and I love this car. UPDATE: Just got home and I checked their "professional" install of my mudguards that took them more than an hour and $135 to complete and it's floppy and loose and did not even use the screws provided with the mudguards! These are OEM mudguards! Wouldn't you think a Toyota Service and Parts Department would know how to fucking install them properly?! There were still holes that were not screwed in and those holes were the ones I was not able to do myself! Fuck, I should've just done it myself. Worst $135 I've ever spent. Imagine having a car repaired here and they couldn't even install mudguards the right way and they'll argue with you about it too. read more

Let me start by saying I have purchased many new cars in my lifetime, and most times the experience could easily be compared to getting a root canal. There were times when I walked away from a purchase, just because the sales person was so manipulative and annoying....adding to the stress of making a large purchase. Having said that, I just purchased a new 2023 Rav4 at TRACY TOYOTA, and surprisingly, it was a stress free experience and I went home happy and loving my new Rav4. My salesman, Ben Nguyen, was genuinely friendly and helpful. He didn't waste my time, but did spend needed time showing me the new features in the car. Thank you, Ben, for making the buying process pain free. I have to mention, finance guy, John Lau. He was equally great to work with. John knows his business and did it quickly and efficiently. At the same time, he was a pleasure to chat with, making me feel comfortable, like we were old friends. All in all, a great experience! The first time we tried going here there was a protest by the employees and we learned some rough things about the management, so we went to Livermore Toyota. That dealership is absolutely fantastic! Since we actually live in Tracy we decided to give this dealership a second chance. Boy are we bummed we did! They do not do any of the complimentary services that Livermore does and generally just do not care about your vehicle or customer service. When I picked up my wife's 4Runner there were unexplained charges so I asked for clarification. The person behind the desk had to ask for some help and the guy he asked was super mad to actually have to help a customer. After waiting awhile for him to return, he took a super disrespectful tone with me and stated falsely he had already explained all this to my wife. Come one man, I'm just trying to understand the charges I am about to pay for. After getting a crummy explanation and a tone of attitude I paid and went to the car. It was far dirtier than when I dropped it off and I could just tell no one cared for our car here. I have had amazing service at the Cedar Park Toyota dealership in Texas before we moved back to California, and excellent service twice here at Livermore Toyota. I will have to agree with another post on here...one star is too many for these money-hungry, shady business, and false advertising clowns. On Sunday, 10/21, at approx. 3 pm, my wife and I came by the dealership to look at a 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro in Calvary Blue. I found this particular vehicle listed on Autotrader for $45,967 - the reason for me to drive to Tracy to check out this dealership. I was assisted by this sales associate by the name of "David" and I wanted to inquire on any special promotions, and or on-going incentives for the tacoma line-up. Particularly, I was interested to know my financing options for this $45k tacoma. As we discussed the interest rates, etc...he brought it to my attention that the tacoma is NOT for sale for the price listed on Autotrader and that the dealership had marked the vehicle up to $55k. REALLY $10,000 EFFING MARKUP? I asked David if this is the standard "good" business practice you folks at Tracy Toyota go by? Is this your standard business model? He replied that this is "normal"... I recently purchased a new car and was a bit wary to take it in for its recall and inspection due to former bad experiences with the service department, high prices & low-transparency. But since my new car had a recall, I had no choice. I expected the worst, but instead received fantastic customer service from service advisor, Edward Damian. I went in, ready for a bad experience. But Edward went above and beyond to listen to my concerns & explain everything. I thought I would have to leave my car overnight and get it the next day, but Edward was able to accommodate the recall fix of my vehicle within 30 mins the same day. Customer service associates like Edward Damian are what drives customers to view a company as trustworthy. He treats his customers as if they are family. No runaround, and no BS. This is what establishes a continuing relationship with customers. I wish all service advisors were like him.
