Ample seating and there's a cute patio outdoors with lil fairy lights that turn on at night which makes it the perfect spot to chat with family and friends over a smokey meal! We got 3 plates of three different meats. The trip tip and brisket were very tender and juicy. All plates come with garlic bread, pickled veggies, and two other sides. I had an unpleasant experience at Trail Dust today. We placed our order with Rosa and I ordered a 20oz beer that she poured into a 16oz glass. She was adamant that it was a 20oz glass after I questioned it. Sometimes glassware can appear like a different size so I walked away to our table. After sitting down I was certain it was a 16oz glass so I went back up to ask what the 20oz glass looked like.. I even poured my beer into the 20oz glass to show her and she still told me I was wrong. I then asked another gentleman who was working and he confirmed Rosa gave me a 16oz glass. Trail Dust never misses! Definitely one of the best barbecue qualities you can get in the South Bay Area. I arrived on a Sunday at around 2 pm. Since it was later in the day, the website wasn't too packed, and we were able to order at the counter very quickly. We ordered the combo meal with burnt ends and brisket, with sides of corn bread, cold slaw, and potato salad. Every portion of this meal was delicious. The burnt ends had the perfect smoky crunch and sweetness, which was a great contrast to the tender salty brisket which could melt in your mouth. I absolutely loved the corn bread -- many places tend to make it more sweet but Trail Dust leans toward a more savory corn bread which I enjoyed immensely. For myself I ordered the Brisket BBQ sandwich and let me tell you... the meat was falling apart with EASE!!! Amazing flavor and very juicy!! Super tender and I paired it with a side of potato salad! Very enjoyable and well seasoned but lacked a little bit more mayo? A little dry but worth it! I got the tri tip which was super tender but wished I had got more than 5 little chunks. My potato was also dry , I need a bit more butter and wished my potato was broken down a bit on the inside. The Mac & cheese portion was literally the size of a plastic cup and it was more sauce than Mac & cheese. The Mac & cheese was not good at all. It had no flavor to it at all. While a little small this restaurant is my go to for BBQ in Morgan Hill. They have fun signs with sayings on the walls and has a cute little dining room. Every time I walk in I am greeted warmly and with great service. My favorite item on the menu is their squealing pig sandwich with coleslaw. I have been going to Trail Dust for at least 10 years and I'm never disappointed, unless they run out of BBQ lol. I recently went to Trail Dust on the way to visit family and stopped by at 9AM. My mouth was watering just thinking about the food on the way there and now even while typing this review. Unfortunately, they were only serving breakfast since the BBQ wasn't ready. Although disappointed since it's an hour drive for me, I was still excited to try their breakfast since I wasn't even aware that was option. The person that helped me was super nice and had great recommendations to what I should order. I ordered a breakfast taco which came with a fried egg and my choice of meat which was pulled pork wrapped in a flour tortilla. I also ordered the breakfast sandwich which was two fried eggs, cheese, my choice of meat which was brisket, and should have been biscuits. They didn't receive the morning delivery so they didn't have biscuits. They gave me the garlic bread to substitute which they asked me to make sure I still wanted it. I usually order their pork rib sandwich with garlic bread so I knew it would be good. Both items paired with their signature BBQ sauce and jalapeños, I was in flavor heaven. I was so full after the taco, but after one bite of the sandwich, I had to devour it while it was still hot. The restaurant was super clean, well organized, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. There's tons of street parking around the area and a parking garage around the corner. I've been to many BBQ places and Trail Dust has always been my #1 pick.
