Idid not have an appointment so I did not mind waiting.... there was a lady getting a manicure sitting in front of me.... the tech working on her left her to take a phone call....she spent a goof ten minutes on the phone and then went to the back of the shop...customer focus was awful.... asked for the $50 pedicure. the massage portion of my service was awful, and very short. my favorite part is the foot massage which she did not do. she talked to her coworker throughout my visit., in their language.which normally would be fine if the service was up to par. I have been to Tran nails quite a few times. and with this tech I felt like I was just a piece of equipment she was working with. Tried going to a nearby place and they were packed walked over here and they got me in immediately... Overall the facility was decorated nice although the pillows on the pedicure chairs were a little work out. Plenty of staff on hand and they had at least 20 pedicure chairs. Everyone seemed friendly. Got a standard pedicure which for $30 was about par for other places in the area. Service was efficient she did a nice job. It came with a salt scrub of my feet and ankles, a 5ish minute lotion massage and a hot towel wrap to clean off my feet. My feet look and feel great. Will probably go back and try again. read more

I am very disappointed in the new management at Trans. I have been going to this place for a little over 6 years. They are unorganized and the place actually is dirty. Every technician does a fantastic job. They could use more dip selections and their decor could use an update. But their prices are fair.

I am in the process of looking for a new nail place that's close to my home. I wanted to love this place. At first sight it's beautiful inside, I was attended to very quickly and without having an appointment was able to get in for a pedicure. All a plus, then the nail tech I had Sandy was not very friendly but did the job and it was very a very good job however after finishing she sat me down at the dry station and never came back. I waited around 15 mins or so and asked a passing by girl if I was dry enough to go. She checked and I asked for oil and she obliged and I left without incident. Later that night I discovered they were not dry. I came back the very next day to see if they could fix the 2 nails that were messed up and they advised I had to wait, not a problem I waited. The first nail tech did see me and never approached or acknowledged me. The nail tech that did do the repair was unable to confirm if the color I had picked was the same color that I had the day before, it looked like it was but he told me to go back and try again, not very helpful or professional. I just asked for a polish change, paid the $12 plus tip and left. Will not be returning here. No people skills here and not professional at all. read more

I have put up with Trans Nails for way too long. I am finally taking my business to another local business. I came in a 10 am and was told I have to make an appointment. Mind you I have been a loyal customer for over 2 years and I don't mind making an appointment. I made one for 1pm. They left me sitting here for over 30 minutes and when I went to the desk she told me we are busy you will have to wait longer. I guess my time does not mean anything to them. This is the third time too many for me. They did not offer an apology. This is not a good way to do business. I will not be supporting this business any longer after today. The place is beautiful! I got my prom nails done here a couple years ago and they were stunning and they didn't give me a hard time about the design. (I wish I could find the prom nails seriously gorgeous they're amazing at designs) I recently came here again. The first time I had Lisa. She is the only reason I'm not giving five stars. She was rude the whole time I tried being friendly so there wasn't dead silence but she did not care and if I asked any questions about color/ glitter etc she was very rude in her responses. After having my no chip on for about three days done by her they already started chipping at the top I'm thinking because she didnt put clear coat on top and overall didn't do good. I went back and was hoping someone else would fix them but they made her fix them and it just made it worse honestly. HOWEVER I figured I'd try the place one more time. And I got so lucky to find the BEST manicurist I think I've ever had! He said his name was Bryan. Wow he took his time and made sure my skin around nails and nails were PERFECT and he even took the time to talk to me and compliment my bracelet, give me tips like not peeling my no chip off and overall just nice conversation the whole time. Feeling unsatisfied and rushed with every Pedi I've encountered at multiple salons, I came across Tran by a review from a fellow yelper and based on pictures alone, I immediately knew I had to make an apt. I would have never known it existed. Located in the strip mall by XSport Fitness smack on the corner of North & 83, next to the newly opened Smallcakes Cupcakery. The mall itself is a pain in the ass to enter. I made a u-turn at the light on 83S & North (this is a no-no) but once your in, you'll find plenty of parking. This salon is such a sight for sore eyes! (Both literally & figuratively) Baroque inspired decor throughout. Your eyes are instantly drawn to the artistic ceiling and you can't help but want to gaze...endless romantic chandeliers hanging from above...it all felt so calming... Walking in, I immediately sensed a professional vibe. Ultra spacious. They have over 20 Pedi chairs located in back, front area has ample stations for nails. No workers yelling from the back asking 'what you need' upon arriving or shouting out orders to other workers..No polish stains on stations. No bulbs out at the drying area (complete with the fanciest, most comfy chairs...). You walk up to a large front desk, where your greeted by friendly girls. Very polished atmosphere (no pun intended) and clean. I was gifted a service here for Valentine's Day and loved that I almost had the salon all to myself after calling in for an apt. A few customers, but I blame that on the snowy weather. They offer 5 different Pedicures. Basic spa $27 with most expensive being the VIP (15 min. massage - I say go for it) $50. At any salon I've been to, basic's start at $25, so a few $'s more isn't a big deal, at least not here. I've had hot stone pedi's before & decided to go with it. Hot Stone $38, which as you might have guessed is the basic using hot stones to deeply massage your feet and calves. And no, the massages here are NOT super fast or light. They actually use a timer when massaging you. Roughly 9-10 min for the Hot Stone. Basic pedi usually lasts about 6-7 min. I'm ALL about the massage and Candy did not disappoint. Between the soft music playing and her hands firmly pressing on my skin in precise movements, I almost fell asleep.. It was better than a back rub. The Honey spa includes a paraffin wax, no stones. ($40). Would be nice if they offered some services a la carte....either way, I was in pedicure bliss. It was the best pedi I've had in a LONG time and now my new spot. The body/hand lotion - Olive smelled so nice. You can purchase along with different scents like Lavender (Ahhhh, love the smell of lavender too). After talking with Candy I found out they do ALOT of parties here..bridal, etc. Not surprised as its a perfect layout / space for it. Tons of no-chip and polish colors to choose from. They offer waxing services as well. I'm just hoping this salon doesn't get too popular. It's twice the size of Luxury Nails (that place is always packed and even w/an apt, I end up waiting). I'll stick with Cyndi Nails for nails as she always does an amazing job, but for Pedi's, I'm in love with Tran. If only they included a glass of Champagne with every Pedi....I might go weekly then.. Tran is pricier than your average salon by a few dollars, but its also not average. When you need to find that perfect pampering gift, this is an excellent choice. read more

Spacious, clean nail salon! Exceptional customer service. I called at 6:20pm on a Saturday night to see if I could come in for mani/pedi. Not only did they get me in but they also did my fingers and toes at the same time! Arm rub/leg rub at the same time was so relaxing! It was like a good actual massage! Not just some weird arm petting for like 30 seconds that some salons try to pass off as a massage. Yuck. This was a few minutes of serious massage. Ahhhhh (close eyes.... Relax). Thank you Sam and Vivian! The warm towel wraps were nice too. Good selection of colors and lots of manicure/pedicure stations. Maybe 16 or 18 of each. Great place for a bridal party! Review Update!!!! Yes they had friendly staff, beautiful decor, and were clean. I was satisfied with my full set acrylic, but after the 3rd day the nails started to chip and didn't even last a week before they started to come off. The young man who started on my nails was a bit rough on my hands but the lady who finished was very delicate and finished my nails very nicely. But like I said, they didn't last a week on (which usually in other places they last over 3 weeks), and I'm not the type to be doing dishes and other heavy duty hand work. I got there 15 minutes earlier, and they took me in 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I had to go to another appointment right after, so I was already in a hurry. One of my nails had fallen off a week ago, so I needed to get acrylics. The guy ended up making one of my nails way shorter than the others. I asked him if he was able to redo it, but he claimed he couldn't. On the positive side, the guy who did my nails was kind and patient. Customer service was great! I really want to like this place because it's so conveniently located to me but they have let me down over and over again. I've been going there for 6 months. I like my nails shaped with a true square tip. While that seems simple, nobody knows how to do it at this salon! Everyone either gives me a "Squoval" shape or a "ballerina" shape. I try to explain it to them every time but I get a sense that they don't understand me. They say "ok" but they keep shaping my nails wrong. Sadly, I'm going to stop going there.
