We went here to celebrate the father of a friend's birthday. The family had all been there before but it was my first time. I love how it had a community dive bar feel and look but the food is absolutely delicious and much finer dining than anticipated. The servers were very nice but it was pretty busy in the outdoor area and they forgot a couple things for our table. They were in and out with plates and plates of yummy looking food, and did their best to check in. Everyone at the table still had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We ordered the buttermilk fried calamari to share which had a tempura like texture and came with a few fried veggies. I shared a half wedge salad with my friend and ordered the pork lion Milanese. I devoured it. Would highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Love this place , every time I go it just gets better . We had our first hiccup at Trancas ( someone in our party's steak was over cooked) the waitress was on top of it, got another steak out in under 10 minutes. The service is ALWAYS amazing , thank you again Trancas for always being consistent.

We had a great experience on mother's day. The service was spot on and extremely friendly. We started our meal with the lobster bisque. Not my favorite. Lacked flavor and texture. No appetizers this time. Slow start but our entrees were all delicious and we all left happy!!! The desserts were a great way to end our evening. Remains one of my favorite places to dine with my family in Napa. They have done a great job upgrading the interior while keeping that welcoming vibe!

Local spot, casual, random photos off patrons the wall. They get busy. Been here several times off and on since 2021-2025 The french dip & fries never disappoint. Free popcorn machine. Salads are great. The burger is good but usually comes out more well done than i like. Of course, killer local wine list & Cocktails. Good if you have a big group of people or appeal if you wanna lounge hang around. Hit or miss if the staff disappears for long periods or focuses on more deep pocket and/or those bigger tables. French dip or burger is a great value versus the $31-72 steaks. My only gripe is the small portion sizes and long waits for staff. The french dip is fantastic with aujus but over quickly. And not many fries.

(don't love prime rib btw). Listen, I am sure that this place is amazing. I have been here before and love most of their food, but I tried the famous prime rib, and it was disappointing. It was flavorless and lackluster, but tender. The tequila mushroom sauce was amazing, but there was sooo much fat on the prime rib. However, I've tried the other steaks, and the other steaks are amazing. Maybe it's just the prime rib. I was not a fan. but pretty ok food but the service was fantastic. All the waiters were extremely nice. All the staff were helpful and very kind, so thank you to them, and the ambience is quite nice, but overall 4.2 stars i would much rather you recommend you get the filet mignon or the New York strip cause the famous ribeye was not that good in my humble opinion but this is not to discredit this establishment

We found this local steakhouse/sports bar during our getaway to Napa. My husband loves prime rib and we were so happy that we gave Trancas a chance. The staff was very friendly and reassured us that the prime rib described as world's best was indeed very good. I ordered the 6 oz cut and my husband got the 12 oz cut. It was perfectly cooked to our order of medium rare. The veggies were tender but still had a crunch and had great flavor. The mashed potatoes were creamy. Oh! And the bread was brought to us piping hot, crunchy on the outside and super soft on the inside. We felt really comfortable in the restaurant. It felt like being in a comfortable diner or a friend's place, not at all pretentious.

A true Hidden in Napa. One of my favorite places to go when I'm in the area. Their food is excellent. Their service is exceptional. My favorite is their short rib, which literally falls apart with a touch of your fork. It is amazing. I have brought many friends here to try this place and they also agree how great it is. I took my boyfriend for the first time for his birthday and he loved it. We will be back as usual.

Everyone was so fun at karaoke night last Friday. Looking forward to coming back the crowd was enjoying food and fun. The service was fast and kind.

    Prime Rib (12oz. cut)

My husband and I was there last night. It was busy and glad we made reservation. I think they have some tables available for walk-ins. Nice decor and the booth was comfortable and clean. Service and the food were good. I ordered the prime rib, it tasted good but not the world's best prime rib. I have had better somewhere else. Forgot to take picture of the Fruit Crisp dessert but I highly recommend because it was freshly made to order I think.

This was a hidden gem. We are from Southern California and wanted a steak to go with some local wine. This place did not disappoint. We had the calamari appetizer and a ribeye for the main dish. The veggies were cooked to perfection and the masked potatoes were perfect. The steak was top quality with great prices. Definitely coming back.

Excellent old-school steakhouse. The service was exceptional. Not only was the server, informative and knowledgeable, he was pretty funny and entertaining in a non-intrusive way. In addition to the main server, others came as needed without fanfare. The ambience is pretty low-key pretty cool, definitely rural local California, chill and very comfortable

Rigatoni with Italian sausage, red peppers, onion, and zucchini in a marinara sauces was perfectly sublime!

It makes you want to come back. Now to the food I have eaten lobster Mac and cheese at several restaurants but NONE compare to this. This was by far the absolute best lobster Mac and cheese I've ever had. The lobster is seasoned, they used three different cheeses, and it had the right amount of crunch around the edges of the Mac and cheese. My steak was pretty good as well but the lobster Mac and cheese stole the show. Let me also mention that the whiskey bread pudding was an excellent choice for dessert. I had a scoop of ice cream on top of the bread pudding which was certainly the right choice.

From the moment we pulled into the beautifully manicured grounds (with plenty of easy parking, a surprisingly underrated luxury in Napa), the evening felt special. We arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation and settled into the stunning bar for a cocktail. The bartender was welcoming and friendly, and the bar itself deserves a moment of appreciation: gorgeous stonework, soft embedded lighting, and some of the most comfortable leather bar stools I've ever had the pleasure of lingering in. Once our friends arrived, we were immediately seated in a lovely corner table in a beautiful dining room. Then the real fun began. Every single thing we ordered was exceptional. Cocktails were expertly crafted. The pork belly and watermelon appetizer was one of those dishes that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a moment. The roasted beet salad was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented. And then there was the service. Our team, Jose and Zach, struck that perfect balance between polished professionalism and genuine warmth. Our group tends to be a little cheeky, and they were great sports, engaging with us throughout the evening and making the experience feel personal without ever missing a beat. Fresh rolls appeared, accompanied by enough butter to satisfy even this butter-loving crowd (a detail that should never be underestimated). For entrees, we enjoyed a perfectly cooked filet mignon with savory cheesy potatoes with asparagus and carrots, an outstanding pork chop, a sea bass special, and a swordfish dish with each earning rave reviews around the table. Every plate was beautifully executed. No gimmicks. No unnecessary flourishes. Just incredibly well-prepared food made with care and confidence. What I appreciate most about Cordeiro's is that it knows exactly what it is. This isn't a flashy, see-and-be-seen downtown Napa dining experience with eye-watering prices and culinary gymnastics. It's something far better: a timeless steakhouse delivering exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and an atmosphere that encourages you to settle in, relax, and enjoy the people you're with. As if the evening couldn't get any better, Bashar stopped by our table and spent time chatting with us about the property, its history, and the incredible effort that goes into maintaining the grounds. He was an absolute delight. He even rolled over a beautiful cordial cart and helped us finish the evening with port, salted caramel liqueur, and an another other after-dinner treat that provided the perfect finale. I was dining with three true local Napa folks who had attended various events at Cordeiro's over the years, and it was fun hearing their stories and connections to the place. By the end of the night, all four of us were smiling, already talking about when we'd return. Great food. Great people. Great atmosphere. Cordeiro's isn't trying to be the newest thing in Napa. It's busy being one of the best.

After ordering, I decided to use the restroom and found that it was in a very awkward place. You have to walk down a very long hallway, with minimal lighting, passing a glass room with patrons. I definitely did not feel comfortable and decided to not use the restroom again the rest of the visit. Once the food arrived, everything looked great. The pickle fries were okay, but I think would of been better, maybe cut as slices? My burger was very good and I could barely finish that and the fries. The food is still excellent. The meats were flavorful, well-prepared, and reminded us why we enjoyed our first visit so much. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience felt very different this time around. Almost immediately, we noticed a much faster tempo of service and what felt like excessive attentiveness. While good service is appreciated, it reached a point where it became disruptive. Between the multiple servers, managers, and gauchos continuously stopping by our table, my wife and I could barely get through a sentence of conversation before someone appeared to ask how everything was, whether we needed anything, wanted more bread, water, sauce, a clean plate, or another round of meats. There was also a constant sense of being upsold throughout the evening. We were repeatedly encouraged to purchase a bottle of wine, try tequila shots from the roaming tequila cart, or upgrade to the 24-karat edible gold-wrapped top sirloin. While I understand restaurants promote premium offerings, the frequency of these pitches started to feel more like pressure than hospitality. What was most frustrating was that even after flipping our table indicator to red, which is supposed to signal a pause in meat service, the interruptions continued. At that point, we simply wanted to enjoy our meal and spend time together, but it felt like we spent more time interacting with staff than with each other. Ironically, the nonstop interruptions caused us to eat much faster than we intended. For two people, the bill came to nearly $300 after my 18% gratuity. The food is undeniably good, but for a special occasion like an anniversary, the experience matters just as much as the meal. Sadly, this visit felt more rushed and sales-driven than relaxing and memorable. We'll remember the quality of the food, but we're not sure the overall dining experience justifies the price anymore. We won't be going back anytime soon.

They did have several nice bottles to choose from, though. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, and took great care of our table. We started with the pastry appetizer and the mushroom arancini balls. Both were good, but neither was anything that completely blew us away. My husband and I both ordered the halibut, and it was fantastic. The portions were generous, the fish was incredibly flavorful, and we both absolutely loved it. Everyone else at our table was also very pleased with their meals. The only unpleasant part of the evening was not really the restaurant's fault. The people seated next to us kept putting their small dogs on the table and allowing them to eat off their plates and lick the table. I have dogs and fully support bringing them along to dog-friendly restaurants, but that felt very unsanitary. I do think someone from the restaurant should have asked them to stop, although I'll give the staff the benefit of the doubt that they may not have seen it. Overall, we had a really great experience and would definitely recommend Napkins. I'd give it a solid 4.5 stars!

He told us about the specials and I took him up on the special: shrimp ravioli in lobster sauce. Sadly, it was very bland and lacked the "lobster" flavor in the thick sauce. The drinks were awesome. Totally recommend the drinks: Midnight in Italy and Fume Midnight in Italy was basically a very well served Manhattan. But it was gloriously served. Giant cube ice cube, really lovely rye whiskey and the perfect orange garnish that added to the senses as you sipped Fume arrived in a light fixture like glass box that you open to retrieve your drink. It's filled with smoke to add to the drink's experience. My hands smelled like smoke hours after the dinner. The drink was tasty. The grilled pineapple was tasty. But it was more showy than tasty. Baker brie was insanely delish. It was the best baked Brie I had. Perfectly balanced with the honey and pistachio. The iceberg wedge salad was as you would've expected. Decent sized Maybe we didn't ordered the dishes that they were most popular for so I was disappointed. Will have to come back and try another round. Especially for the drinks.

She was the very first person we saw when we walked through the door, and she immediately greeted us with a warm smile and such a friendly, professional attitude. She was genuinely kind, welcoming, and made us feel like valued guests from the moment we arrived. First impressions matter, and she set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. Her positive attitude and exceptional customer service did not go unnoticed. Thank you for having someone who truly enjoys making guests feel welcome--she was a big part of what made our experience so enjoyable.

The service was a little spotty and could have been more attentive. The coffee was just okay, but the avocado toast was delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. I would highly recommend it! We also tried the French toast dish, which had a nice presentation and was enjoyable, but it lacked a little flavor and could have used something to make it more memorable. The indoor ambience is pleasant, but it feels more like a typical American bistro inside a hotel than a special Napa dining experience. Nothing wrong with it, but the atmosphere isn't particularly noteworthy. Overall, it was a decent breakfast and convenient being at the hotel, but I'd come back primarily for the avocado toast.
