    Loaded Mac and Cheese

Would not recommend this restaurant, first of all I want to say the service was great all the wait staff as well as the host are so nice and kind so nothing to do with them. We ordered: 1 Ribeye (medium) 1 aged dry bone in rib eye (medium rare) Mac and cheese Baked potato Beef tartar First of all there was a hair in my baked potato and I was disgusted but I am not confrontational nor do I ever want to make a huge deal and ruin the experience for others around me. They did not charge me for the baked potatoes of course since I showed them the hair very quietly but that was not the point they should have way more safety around food I mean is that not what your paying for ? Secondly, I ordered my steak medium rare and when I say this steak was rare I mean it was incredibly rare to the point that I could not eat it and I did not eat it. The aged bone in rib eye was not top quality DO NOT ORDER this. Mac and cheese lacked flavor Baked potato was delicious but there was the hair I ate so I wouldn't ever order it again. Beef tar tar had tons of flavor this is rare steak that I can actually eat! The regular ribeye that my brother ordered was really good as well. All this to say it was supposed to be a special celebration as we were there for my brothers birthday and my expectations were high. This is just my experience hope you have a better one. Overall would not recommend visit.

Fantastic meal and wonderful service by Nathan. We lucked out to have a concert happening in the plaza so that was an ambiance bonus! Every course was perfection and the extensive wine list was fun to explore before choosing a perfect Napa Valley cab for our meal. Highly recommend!!

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. I'll admit I came in a bit skeptical. Steakhouses attached to hotels or resorts don't always live up to their pricing, but this one exceeded my expectations. The interior has a cool speakeasy-style vibe. We were seated in the covered outdoor patio, which offered a nice view of the resort courtyard. We arrived right when they opened and were seated immediately. Our server, Nathan, was friendly, attentive, and had a great personality, which made the experience even better. The menu isn't huge, but it covers the essentials well. I ordered the filet mignon, and I asked for it to be cooked to medium. My only real complaint is that the entrees are served à la carte. I think a $75 steak should come with at least one side. That said, when the filet came out, it looked fantastic. It was cooked slightly over medium, but the flavor more than made up for it. I also ordered a twice-baked potato, which was excellent. Overall, I was genuinely impressed and would definitely come back again.

We had dinner reservations on Friday 7pm for our friend's 40th bday. We had a large group of 13 people. We were seated in the patio like area with netted wall covering. We got to try a bunch of different foods. Best items were the ribeye 16 oz (Juicy and tender), broccolini, loaded mac and cheese, and Hokkaido scallops. The worst items were the truffle fries (no truffle taste), Parker house rolls (hard bread), mushroom (too sour). We also ordered 2 bottles of the Faust Cabernet Sauvignon ($120 each). Our waiter asked if we were celebrating anything. We told them a bday. It was weird to ask and not give like complimentary dessert or something. Why even ask then? He opened and poured the wine for us twice.

Ribeye with a twice baked duchess potato

Incredible food. I had a perfectly prepared prime ribeye with a twice baked duchess potato. You really can't go wrong here. The wine list is extensive and the prices are high. The prices are what I expected for a place of this caliber. Highly recommend.

I sat at the bar and the bartender was lovely. I also really enjoyed the beef tartare and the special which was a pate trio. The ambience was great and I definitely will be returning.

The bananas Foster tasted good but was less bananas than Foster.

My wife and I agreed, our meal at Embers was outstanding. Calm, relaxed ambiance, attentive wait staff, that knew their dishes. We will be back. She had the lobster and I the bisque and beet salad. We shared a shitake. All was spot on.

    Ribeye Ember Bone Marrow

Took my family here for dinner while staying at The Meritage Resort, and we had an amazing experience from start to finish. We started with the lobster bisque and Parker rolls -- honestly, it might have been the best lobster bisque I've ever had. The rolls were served hot, soft, and absolutely delicious. For entrées, my girlfriend had the roasted salmon steak, and I went with the ribeye with ember bone marrow. She loved her salmon, and my ribeye was perfectly cooked -- rich, flavorful, and beautifully complemented by the bone marrow. We shared a few sides: the twice-baked duchess potato, loaded mac and cheese, and maitake mushrooms. The twice-baked potato was incredible -- probably my favorite thing of the night. The mac and cheese was rich and comforting, while the mushrooms weren't really my thing, but still well-prepared. Service was excellent -- friendly, attentive, and on point without ever feeling intrusive. Overall, Ember Steakhouse delivered a top-notch meal and experience. Highly recommend if you're staying at the resort or just looking for a great dinner in the area!

WOW. Just WOW. My husband and I came to Ember Steak to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary, and it truly made our night feel so special. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt intimate, romantic, and elegant! exactly the kind of place you want for a special celebration or date night. Our server Anthony was absolutely amazing. The service was warm, attentive, and genuine the entire evening. He made us feel so welcomed and taken care of, and he really helped make our anniversary dinner unforgettable. Now let's talk about the food... because WOW. Everything was delicious. We had the steak salmon dish and the half chicken, and every bite was incredible. the salmon was flavorful and fresh, and the half chicken was juicy and so well seasoned. You can really taste the quality. For cocktails, I had the pear drink and OMG... to die for. So refreshing and perfectly balanced. And of course we couldn't leave without dessert. We had the strawberry cheesecake, and it was the perfect sweet ending to such a beautiful dinner. Everything about this restaurant, from the ambiance, to the amazing food, to Anthony's incredible service! was just WOW. It made our anniversary feel extra special and memorable. We will absolutely be coming back and recommending Ember Steak to everyone.

Lovely food and very good service. The portions are extremely generous, which as a visitor to the areas does us no good. Considering the level of tourism and that this restaurant is at a resort, you'd think most patrons are not local and would appreciate limited waste with smaller portion sizes as an option. I opted for the special, the lamb, because it was only 8 oz of meat and everything else was more food. I even asked if there was a smaller beef filet option, which there was not. Even if the price is that much lower, I'd still have wanted a 5 oz piece of protein. My husband got the roasted half chicken and perhaps ate a third of it. It was excellent also but again, just too much food and waste. We shared the truffle fries, which were awesome but when they arrived to us were cold. They were still crunchy and appropriately cooked so I did not say anything, especially as we already had plenty and I didn't want more waste. The dessert, Bananas Foster Reimagined, was really fantastic. A highlight. I also ordered a Walnut Old Fashioned. It was just ok. I love Old Fashions and order them most places I go. This one was just ok, maybe it was watered down? The craft ice cube was great but the flavor of the drink just wasn't there. Would I come back? Not sure. There were some really nice things about this place but it is $$$$ and not sure it is worth the price.

    Tomahawk

Decided to give a new place a try, had a friend in town visiting from Texas, so it was a bit of pressure to deliver a good steak. But ember deliveried! We had a great outdoor table on the patio for our large group of 9. Started off with their sushi appetizer, it was a Maki roll without rice, all kinds of fresh fish, and topped with caviar. My daughter loved the caviar, I told her she needs to get a good job to afford that lol. The kids loved their food, Mac and cheese, half roasted chicken, broccolini. For once we didn't have to nag them to eat! Skillet cornbread. The king salmon was perfectly cooked, crisp on the outside and moist in the middle, not dry at all. And the splurge was the ~30 oz tomahawk. That weight is not including the bone. It was delicious and enough to serve 5 adults and 4 small kids. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. And we brought a far niente cab to enjoy with our steak and the corkage fee was reasonable. Would definitely come back here, thinking about that tomahawk makes my mouth water!

Enjoyed our dinner! Great date night spot note: we did not order steak so not reviewing this Five stars for the service because Maya is truly enthusiastic about food and wine ( not a faker) from the heart Four stars for the food because we came for the chef we read about prior to the visit (the chef who hails from Hawaii specializing in seafood and Sushi not just steak... and is no longer on site though he did create the menu and train the kitchen ) We were told chef missed his knife and was not sure what was next though He had been working as a consultant for Meritage and many resorts Maya our waitress is tops! Knowledgeable about the wine, cocktails and food selections. We enjoyed - Hamachi fish collar entree, 10 oz -Duck entree - Ember sushi . sides: -maitaki mushrooms -100 layer potato with creme mousse and fire torched by server tableside We could not finish our meals...so generous portions compared to many napa fine dining spots Memorable? The lavendar lychee martini The sushi The ambiance is romantic for date night the service Next time we will be back for the Blue Note summer stage line up .. We can wine, and have cocktails and some tapas and watch an outdoor concert from their covered temp controlled patio.

    Dirty wine glass

Staying at this resort and had heard nothing but great things about the steak restaurant - we tried to reserve but they had nothing until much later in the evening (we arrived the same day so we're booking it only 5-6 hours in advance). We went anyway to try to even sit at the bar - the resto wasn't even 25% full (they said a big group was coming at 7 but we left after 7 and it was only maybe at 50% capacity inside). Our service was excellent but we were disappointed with others aspects - dirty wine glasses and my husband's steak was overcooked despite lots of discussion about how blue he likes it. The server asked him to cut in the middle to check the temperature when it was clear it was overdone. Now...I know he put the right notes to the kitchen and they didn't follow it, but there was no compensation (even partial like a comp'd side dishes) for it. So....good service, decent atmospheric but disappointed about the lack of availability when it was clearly not booked and the poor cooking of a steak (in a steak house where they should be pros at this). We won't return to this spot again

Had so much wine during our visit that only had a glass of Sancerre, which was terrific. Had to choose between the prime rib special and the rib eye chop. Our server recommended the rib eye and so it went. She was nice enough to give us some Yorkshire pudding, which was also terrific. Started off with an excellent Caesar salad, with whole anchovies. Crabmeat cocktail was fresh and tasty and the rib eye was perfect! Finished off with strawberry shortcake, which, though lacking in strawberries, was still very good. We will definitely return!

Friendly hostess. We were seated in their large, main floor open dining room. They also have a balcony and outdoor patio for dining. The magic happens in their open kitchen that is fun to watch and adds a cool element to your dining experience. Both the sommelier, Tavo, and the server, Jared, greeted us and assisted us with opening our wine that we brought to share with our friends. We started our meal with the grilled shrimp cocktail (5/5) and the crab cocktail (5/5) for the table to share. Both were fresh and delicious. Most of our table ordered steaks, I ordered the long boned pork chop (5/5), with a green peppercorn sauce. The chop was cooked to the right temperature and was clearly brined, as it was moist, tender, and had great char. We order corn, fries, and lobster Mac & Cheese for the table to share. Everyone loved their steaks and we nearly polished off all the sides. My only comment to our super tasty meal is the large baked potato ordered by one of my friends was baked way too long and was overcooked. It had been years since I had dinner last at Cole's. The food and service team are top notch as I remembered. It's definitely still the best steakhouse in Napa. I highly recommend.

Five stars isn't enough…read more In a world where every restaurant seems to be chasing the latest trend, Cordeiro's reminds us why a classic steakhouse never goes out of style. From the moment we pulled into the beautifully manicured grounds (with plenty of easy parking, a surprisingly underrated luxury in Napa), the evening felt special. We arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation and settled into the stunning bar for a cocktail. The bartender was welcoming and friendly, and the bar itself deserves a moment of appreciation: gorgeous stonework, soft embedded lighting, and some of the most comfortable leather bar stools I've ever had the pleasure of lingering in. Once our friends arrived, we were immediately seated in a lovely corner table in a beautiful dining room. Then the real fun began. Every single thing we ordered was exceptional. Cocktails were expertly crafted. The pork belly and watermelon appetizer was one of those dishes that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a moment. The roasted beet salad was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented. And then there was the service. Our team, Jose and Zach, struck that perfect balance between polished professionalism and genuine warmth. Our group tends to be a little cheeky, and they were great sports, engaging with us throughout the evening and making the experience feel personal without ever missing a beat. Fresh rolls appeared, accompanied by enough butter to satisfy even this butter-loving crowd (a detail that should never be underestimated). For entrees, we enjoyed a perfectly cooked filet mignon with savory cheesy potatoes with asparagus and carrots, an outstanding pork chop, a sea bass special, and a swordfish dish with each earning rave reviews around the table. Every plate was beautifully executed. No gimmicks. No unnecessary flourishes. Just incredibly well-prepared food made with care and confidence. What I appreciate most about Cordeiro's is that it knows exactly what it is. This isn't a flashy, see-and-be-seen downtown Napa dining experience with eye-watering prices and culinary gymnastics. It's something far better: a timeless steakhouse delivering exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and an atmosphere that encourages you to settle in, relax, and enjoy the people you're with. As if the evening couldn't get any better, Bashar stopped by our table and spent time chatting with us about the property, its history, and the incredible effort that goes into maintaining the grounds. He was an absolute delight. He even rolled over a beautiful cordial cart and helped us finish the evening with port, salted caramel liqueur, and an another other after-dinner treat that provided the perfect finale. I was dining with three true local Napa folks who had attended various events at Cordeiro's over the years, and it was fun hearing their stories and connections to the place. By the end of the night, all four of us were smiling, already talking about when we'd return. Great food. Great people. Great atmosphere. Cordeiro's isn't trying to be the newest thing in Napa. It's busy being one of the best.

The ambience was genuine French countryside (with a mix of a sports bar inside that didn't really match??), but given everything else was off the charts we didn't mind. The service was 5-star level with their manners, panache, and the knowledge and experience you would only expect at a Michelin-grade chophouse. The food. Spectacular. No words. Presentation was surprisingly impressive even with their side dishes. Their New Zealand Lamb Chops were criminal. Lamb will never be the same after having theirs. It. Was. Perfect. I did not care for any of their side sauces, which were on point, but I just prefer a simpler wine sauce. The wife ordered the Filet Mignon, which was prepared perfectly and was that melt in your mouth tenderness you hope for. Their included sides were asparagus, glazed carrots, AND mashed potatoes which were all fantastic. Appetizer was a jumbo white prawn cocktail which was good (wife birthday choice ;), even though I was eying their Wood Oven Oyster Rockefeller with spinach, bacon, and bearnaise sauce. Next time...sigh. The dessert was so good it was like torture after being so full. Thought I just had the best cheesecake ever that weekend at the Fairmont which was a Pistachio cheesecake with Boscotti crumbles. This blew it away. DARK CHCOLATE OREO CRUSTED WITH A DARK CHEERY COMPOTE. O.M.G. Wife had a banana crème brûlée which was equally amazing. Oh and they forced us to have as many dessert drinks as we liked (her bday came in handy) on a drink cart. (A full bar lol from scotches, sherries, brandies, ports, any style of chocolate liqueur). This will be our new home kitchen away from home. 20/10 rating.

After ordering, I decided to use the restroom and found that it was in a very awkward place. You have to walk down a very long hallway, with minimal lighting, passing a glass room with patrons. I definitely did not feel comfortable and decided to not use the restroom again the rest of the visit. Once the food arrived, everything looked great. The pickle fries were okay, but I think would of been better, maybe cut as slices? My burger was very good and I could barely finish that and the fries. My husband like his burger and said he can't wait to come back and try other dishes. He also loved his beer, Lost Coast IPA. Our waiter was very attentive, all the employees were nice and the food was good. We definitely want to come back if in the area in the future.

The patatas bravas were basically French fries and the special sauce tasted like ketchup with a dollop of mayo in the middle. The cheese tray, for twenty bucks, consisted of three cheese chunks the size of an old school match box. The fried eggplant with honey was delish. Shrimp were just OK. Mussels with polenta were tasty. Then came the paella, which we shared. That was the most disappointing thing. 4 clams and a sprinkling of dried out, overcooked mystery meat. Pricewise, I'd say it's fair for inflationary times, except for the paella which was basically a rip. Next time I want tapas, I'm going to Tapas Bravas in Healdsburg. They never disappoint.

I had a great dinner here! We went in January. Good service…read more This is located in the Archer Hotel. There's nearby parking garages. We enjoyed everything we got, though the Caesar salad was lacking flavor but we could have just asked for more dressing. I liked the Parker house rolls, I LOVED the tartare, crudo, truffle fries, beet salad. The desserts were good and not too sweet. Elevated menu. The crudo was nuanced, tasted like it had Asian flavor influence. The food isn't basic at all. I would recommend this place and I'll definitely come back again!!

Juan was our server, and even at the tail end of his shift he was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. We grabbed a high-top by the bar, celebrating a spontaneous after-work birthday, and the setting could not have been better. The restaurant is stunning--soft lighting, elegant details, and that effortless date-night atmosphere that makes you want to linger. We went straight for the ribeye, cooked flawlessly to order, with honey-glazed carrots and truffle fries that were downright addictive. The cocktail, bright and lemon-kissed like a perfectly balanced lemon drop, tied the whole meal together. Charlie Palmer's remains one of my top steakhouse favorites--and nights like this are exactly why.

We are so glad to find this place at last minute on a Friday in Napa! I'm surprised it's not busy…read morebecause the food is amazing!! I highly recommend the halibut I got. The fish is tender and fresh. It even came with a grilled prawn. What I even love more is the side dishes which is charred cauliflower, asparagus and potatoes. I finished the whole plate and definitely want to come back just for this dish! We didn't get to try the dessert this time but we will definitely come back!

He told us about the specials and I took him up on the special: shrimp ravioli in lobster sauce. Sadly, it was very bland and lacked the "lobster" flavor in the thick sauce. The drinks were awesome. Totally recommend the drinks: Midnight in Italy and Fume Midnight in Italy was basically a very well served Manhattan. But it was gloriously served. Giant cube ice cube, really lovely rye whiskey and the perfect orange garnish that added to the senses as you sipped Fume arrived in a light fixture like glass box that you open to retrieve your drink. It's filled with smoke to add to the drink's experience. My hands smelled like smoke hours after the dinner. The drink was tasty. The grilled pineapple was tasty. But it was more showy than tasty. Baker brie was insanely delish. It was the best baked Brie I had. Perfectly balanced with the honey and pistachio. The iceberg wedge salad was as you would've expected. Decent sized Maybe we didn't ordered the dishes that they were most popular for so I was disappointed. Will have to come back and try another round. Especially for the drinks.

They suggested this restaurant located right inside the resort, and what a fantastic recommendation it turned out to be! This farm-to-table Italian restaurant truly impressed me with the quality of its food, drinks, and overall dining experience. As a vegetarian, I was delighted by the extensive selection of vegetarian and vegan options available. The staff and chef were incredibly helpful in guiding me through the menu. Taking the chef's recommendations, I ordered their freshly made truffle vegetarian pizza, a large Italian salad, crispy artichokes, rigatoni, truffle fries, and tiramisu for dessert. Every single dish was prepared to perfection and absolutely delicious. The ambiance is equally impressive. It's the perfect place to relax and spend quality time with friends and family. The outdoor seating area offers beautiful views, and the cozy fireplace creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional food, great service, and a memorable dining experience. Definitely worth a visit!

We were put into the booth, where all I had to do, just stand up, because I'm disable and I had a hard time getting up out of chairs. Thank you for that. I took my mother and son to your restaurant today. We have been long time patrons since you opened…read more My son ordered your 6oz steak that may have been 6oz prior to cooking but came out and was a smaller portion than the two sprigs of broccoli on the plate. The amount of food for the price was laughable. $37 for a plate of food that was 80% french fries that appeared to come out of a freezer bag. As for the half of beet salad, which I didn't eat, but was charged $11 for and consisted of about a cup and a half of food, had small cubes of beets that tasted like they came from a can. I was hoping, for the price, that the beets would have been local quality and roasted. The Ruben sandwich my mom picked at seemed okay. Just a lackluster sandwich that appeared to be the same quality of Dennys. The $80 meal (not including tip) definitely was not the caliber I expected from your restaurant and I don't plan to return. The service was wonderful and that was why I tipped. The service staff should not be consequenced because the food was in shambles.
