They were very professional, took extreme care of our furniture by wrapping everything with plastic first then blankets, and didn't take a lot of breaks (actually they took no breaks), and had very reasonable pricing ( even though it's still expensive). He really kept his 2 guys moving the entire time. I was very impressed. If I ever move again, and I pray I don't any time soon, I would definitely call Hector again. read more

Very solid, very reliable. They showed up on time, and were professional. They are well integrated with email, mobile contact, and GPS. They use the technology well. Hector is a real pro. A few nits: when handling wood furniture, they did not always put a pad or paper on ground before setting it down on its side. Not a huge thing but if it were an antique I might have had a problem. Only one of the three of team spoke English, but that is not uncommon. Finally, they did not produce an invoice upon payment, which is odd, but I was told I would receive an email receipt, which I guess is OK. Basic deal is 3 guys and a huge clean truck for $95/hr (from and to their dispatch). Not a bad deal. I will definitely call them in the future for my local moves. read more

If you are looking for the BEST VALUE in moving, Hector and team are it. While not perfect, it wasn't 5x the price of the "perfect" movers either. Truck was a little small, one item broke (I packed it, they didn't) they worked really hard. These guys are HONEST and good to do business with which is worth a premium over the craigslist fly-by-night not insured licensed crowd. You can definitely pay more, but if you have a lot to move, it's well worth it! read more

Hector and Trans-One Moving are just great. There is so much stress in moving, including the selection of a mover. I don't think you can go wrong with selecting Trans-One as your moving company. Hector and his team of 2 additional men arrived on time for our move on a Saturday morning. They worked very efficiently during the move-out and move-in phases. Everyone had such a great attitude. They were very careful about not dinging our furniture or our walls. I was particularly amazed on how they were able to guide a dresser into one of the bedrooms - at some point, I did not see how that was going to happen without something getting dinged. But everything went smoothly - no dings to report! You should ask if there is a charge for drive time/how drive time charges work. We were charged 2x drive time - but this was not a negative for us in that paying for the drive time was within the estimate Hector had given us for the move (there just was not a specific delineation of the drive time). Some people may have found this troublesome. All-in-all, highly recommend Trans-One! read more

I am the pickest mover if there ever was one! I have had bad experiences in the past with movers (one company dropped my desk down a stairwell, another lost parts of my furniture, and one even ruined brand new furniture by scratching it up)...so I definitely know what I expect in a moving company! I called around and had chosen Trans-one because they had the cheapest/best price ($85/hr) and had really good Yelp reviews. Hector and his coworker made me feel at ease with the whole moving process, they were very professional, they shrink wrapped with blanket all my furniture and they smiled every step of the way! When they loaded everything into my new apartment I was amazed how NOTHING was scratched, dented, broken, or even chipped (and I have a lot of heavy wooden pieces). They were the best moving company I ever hired!!!! I have had my fair share of moving companies (I've traveled from Texas to Pennsylvania to California, and moved within each of the states)...so trust me when I say you should hire them!! They definitely take good care of your stuff as if it were their own. They were super duper cheap, very prompt, and I knew all the costs going in, no hidden costs! Awesome. After hearing about this company from a co-worker, we gave them a call. On less than 24 hours notice their crew of 3 arrived on a Friday evening, worked speedily and efficiently and had all of our furniture plus three bicycles loaded onto their big truck in around an hour. That included a few minutes of wrapping and negotiating a couple of large items down a tricky stairwell. After a drive to our new residence it took them only about 20 minutes to unload our items from the truck. An hour and forty minutes for the entire job. We just completed a large move and Hector and his team were fantastic. From the moment Hector came to my home to evaluate the move, to the time my last box was delivered to the new place, the entire process was handled smoothly and professionally. One of the positives was his wife Maria, who came to my home to pack up our kitchen. I am in the middle of unpacking, and I have never seen a better job done with the wrapping and packing of fine glass and china. Nothing was broken, and no space was wasted! The guys who came back the following day worked for 12 hours straight, taking only a short break for lunch but powering through the entire time, loading the huge truck twice and making two runs. Echoing what others said before. We got the 95/hour for 3 guys and 24 foot truck for our four bedrm house. These guys were prompt (early) and took care with every item. Nothing was lost or damaged. They were totally cheerful, laughing, and super polite throughout the 16 hour (yes, 16 hours) ordeal. Ours took longer because we had a lot of shelving in the study as well as garage (the kind you make yourself from IKEA and Home Depot) that they took apart, piece by piece, and then reassembled it in the new house. Efficient and friendly movers. They seemed like they had done this a million times, and were very careful with all of our stuff. Hector the owner came with one helper, and it surprised me how happy they seemed. In my experience, movers are usually grumpy and bitter, but they were humming along to music and seemed to actually enjoy what they were doing. A pleasant surprise. Just so you know, they do charge you for the drive back. I wasn't aware of this because they make a big deal about $85/hr, no hidden fees. The move involved a set of stairs at both places and the movers were very careful with all the furniture. This is an awesome moving company. Our moving crew of three was fast, efficient + friendly. They showed up 1 hour early w/ a clean van, a few extra packing supplies and were ready to work. Everything was handled w/ care and they placed everything were it belonged in the new place. The furniture was placed were we wanted it. The boxes were put in the correct designated rooms. Everything arrived intact. Our move took place on a winter day + there was an impending rain storm but these guys were prepared! They had plastic sheeting + managed to finish before it started raining. This moving experience was so great that I even had to tell my friends about it. After hearing some of their bad experiences w/ other movers, I was even more amazed at the value Trans-One offers. Had a move less than 5 miles in the bay area. Adolfo was very responsive and visited the house prior to the move to make an accurate estimate. He advised we only needed 2 movers and not 3 that all other companies were stating as the minimum. The movers on the day were half an hour late but this did not hinder the total time. Samuel and Rudolfo worked without much of a break and we completed the move within 5 hours of a 2 bedroom house with transport time. They were careful and did a good job overall. Being extremely fortune to find 4 pieces of assembled furniture in the clearance section at Ikea on a Saturday night was awesome; Finding out that Ikea only delivers unassembled furniture; PRICELESS. We didn't want to loose the furniture and we needed transportation and we needed it fast! My bother-in law Yelped and we were able to get Hector from Trans-One to transport our furniture in less than one hour. He was patient, (he waited 40 minutes as the Ikea cashier worked in Ultra-Slow mode) fast and extremely helpful. I highly recommend him. Thank you Hector. read more

I scheduled Hector to move our stuff from a large (15x30) storage unit to a a new house. I told him the stuff was pretty packed in and that the previous mover needed two trips in a ~ 18-foot truck to get it moved. The good: Our close-of-escrow date was delayed by the seller so I had to cancel and reschedule a date with Hector on only one day's notice. Hector was understanding and we were able to have him reschedule to July 4 (yes, the fourth of July!). There was a slight increase ($15/hr), but not bad for a 3-man crew to work on a holiday. The crew was diligent and careful. The bad: After scheduling the 3-man crew for the whole day, hector tells me later that morning that he can only do 2 trips 'cuz the crew has to head back and celebrate the holiday as well. After some convincing, hector agreed to finish the job and did another trip. Still, I can't complain too much since I got moved in in one day and at a reasonable price. read more

There were other companies that quoted lower rates but turned out to be either cheats (be-aware, I saw companies with poor reviews actually change their names !) or have some poor reviews. The trans-one moving experience turned out to be exactly as yelp predicted. Hector turned up exactly on time, and the two movers worked efficiently without breaks or stops to load as well as quickly unload stuff. During the move the carefully arranged stuff and were very flexible when I asked them to take certain items first and others later on. It was my first real move (not a "friends+U-HAUL" do-it-yourself kind) and Hector and his crew made it a really pleasant experience. First I got all of the written confirmations in e-mails that I felt necessary (and Hector was patient and prompt in his responses). Then the day before I got a call confirming the next day's schedule. On the day of the move they came 15 minutes earlier, checked out what needed to be moved and gave me an option of getting a bigger truck or using the smaller one for two runs. I thought that 2 runs would be better (since it was a short distance moving) and they started. I was very pleased with the way they handled my furniture and other things. Some of those items weren't packed that nicely when they arrived to my place after I bought them! And unlike other companies I contacted while researching the move they didn't charge anything extra for TV, heavy items, extra steps or packing materials. I hope that I will not need to move again for a while (it IS exhausting even with the best movers!) but I will definitely recommend Trans-One Moving company to all of my friends and coworkers. read more

After interviewing several movers, we choose Trans-One and Hector for one reason, Hector. His professional manor and friendliness won us over. He was accommodated our move date and showed up on time. His guys were very friendly and worked straight for 12 hours with only a 5 minute lunch break. Even though Hector estimated 6-8 hours, when he saw it was going to take a little longer, he politely explained about the amount of furniture and estimated it would take an additional 2 hours. Hector and his team were absolutely awesome. I chose them based upon the number and quality of reviews and they literally were the reason why we had a successful move. We called and Hector was responsive, positive and reassuring. I set up the dates and he sent me the documentation and I felt good about signing up with them. Then the house we were supposed to move to in 4 days fell through! I called Hector and expected him to try and charge me for canceling but he did not. He was sympathetic and offered other dates. I tried for two days to find a new place to live (stressful under any circumstances) and each time I came up with an option I called Hector and he reassured me that he would be there to help. I originally planned my move for Friday and asked if his team could come on a Thursday. I ended up calling him on Wednesday and asking if he could come the next day and he did! We moved as originally scheduled and his team did a great job packing us up. they were on time and friendly. Hector and his team are friendly, ON TIME, Competent, Ethical and Efficient. We are moving house to Southern Utah. Two days before the move four people arrived and carefully wrapped and boxed everything we had not already done. Hector's wife came the next day and finished boxing up the delicate kitchen items.
