Wow, all I have to ssy about this place is molto delizioso! Very satisfying service, taste, volume, and ambience. Stacy was our server, and she was the sweetest! Very attentive, helpful, and cheerful at all times. We ordered the dinner-sized Cozze Bianco, cacciucco di mare, a risotto special, and one more paste dish I can't remember the name of, but had a sauce that was similar to a less salty version of the one in cozze bianco. I had some red wine and had a ton of the complimentary bread. Insalata di Cavoli was perfect way to balance all of the sea food we ordered. It has a very subtle yet simultaneously invigorting flavor to it; it was truly delicious. The cozze bianco was delicious, but the mussel sizes sre slightly smaller than what I am used to buying at a grocers. The sauce is great to dip bread in, but it is pretty salty. The rissotto was good, not too salty, not too cheesy, and pretty creamy as opposed to soupy. The cacciucco di mare was a beast of a dish; enormous portions with very well balanced tomato-based sauce with tons of seafood. The cacciucco di mare was my favorite dish. I ate outdoors and had a pretty plain view of random Harrison buildings, but it felt like I was in a different country. There is something special about the atmosphere here. Indoor dining is available too, and it looks pretty fancy inside. Outdoor is less flashy, but very comfortable, especially on warm summer nights. Before leaving, we received complimentary limoncello to close our the night. I truly had a wonderful experience and highly recommend. read more

The restaurant has friendly staff and a charming indoor atmosphere. The restaurant is in an old-time diner, and is very classic. We were very excited to try this restaurant for a family celebration! It's a lovely restaurant with a beautiful outdoor seating area. For a Tuesday, it was very busy. We ordered in a reasonable time and enjoyed the beautiful night. It soon became clear that many tables around us had no food. We finally got our food about 70 minutes after we sat down. Two of the dinners were outstanding with the lemon sole being the best. Rigatoni with ragu was clearly left waiting for the other 2 and was dry and lacking one of the ingredients. Clearly, the kitchen was having trouble keeping up with the volume. They offered us complimentary lemonicello but we needed to leave by that time. We will give them another chance but it ended up being a stressful night. read more

Love Love Love!!! From the owner, to the atmosphere to the service and the amazing food, this place is a Joy. Its based in an Old diner with a deep dark decor and simple touches. The service was amazing he was very informative and helpful, we ended up getting one of the specials Cavatelli with spicy sausage and butternut squash for an appetizer and what a choice!! I ordered the Orrechiette with spicy sausage, and peppers it was tasty and texture was on point. Veal parm was so perfect its not menu so you gotta ask but wow didn't need a knife and was thinly pounded. Toscana wine was great choice and espresso to top it all off was yummy!! This is my second time eating at Trattoria, and while the first time went well enough, no surprises or mistakes, this time was bad to a point that the meal was good. Like one of those meals where everything from start to finish is off and makes you feel like you are Alice in Wonderland and your laughing so hard, it's no bad because it is so outrageous you will always remember the meal. It was my grandmas 83rd birthday so my whole family had gotten together for first time since before COVID to celebrate now that we are all vaccinated. My wife and I, along with my parents had driven up from Pennsylvania and brought a special cake from my grandmas favorite bakery for the occasion. From the start, things were off. They took half the drink orders, brought additional wines without being asked, my wife got a dirty glass, just little things that caused us to raise an eyebrow. When the meal came out, that is where things started to get worse. They brought out all dishes but one. It took so long for the last to arrive (~5 minutes) that finally the individual pleaded with us all to start so our food wouldn't get cold. Two people who ordered steaks had them cooked completely wrong (medium rare came out well done; rare came out medium well). All the paste dishes were fine, but like, it's pretty hard to mess up pasta. Now they did fix everything that was wrong along the way, so that is why I have given two stars. However the end was where it went totally off the rails. Remember the cake? So we had asked if they could cut in the back and serve, as is standard at a fancy restaurant. We advised to "cut slices smaller as there are 10 in our party." Now, imagine how you could cut those slices if someone asked you to do that..... What actually happened, which still makes me chuckle as I write this, is they cut the cake HORIZONTALLY before cutting slices. So essentially that some people would slices without any icing on top. When they brought it out, my mother who had brought this very special cake not pleased, to say the least. I couldn't stop laughing because like how stupid do you need to be, working in the restaurant industry, to cut a cake horizontally, instead of cutting thin slices. Anyways, they took it in the back and stacked the pieces on top of each other and brought them back out looking like Frankenstein's monster. Photo attached. This experience has started a great new tradition in our family where we are going to get my grandma half cakes for her half birthday every year. In regards to the restaurant, think twice before going for any special occasion or be exceedingly specific on what you want them to do with your food. read more

A group of 6 went for a Tuesday night dinner after a friend raved about this place. It's a little underwhelming from the outside. But don't let the vintage diner look put you off - inside is warm and welcoming. The service team was great. They refilled water glasses, kept wine glasses full but we never felt rushed since they took their cue from our group that we there to enjoy the food and each others company. We started with a couple of appetizers and salads. The Fritto Misto was very good. I didn't try the others. Entrees were Linguini Nere (incredibly good with a creamy pesto sauce), Gnocchi Al Cinghiale (didn't get to taste that, but heard it was great), Pollo Martini (didn't taste this one either, but it was a large portion and others tried it and loved it), a rabbit pasta special (OK at best) and a couple of others. We shared 2 desserts -Tartuffo which was good and another with ice cream and a sauce which was very good. Can't wait to try it again. read more

It's right in front of Harrison station, so it was a perfect place to have lunch before heading back to the city. As a local, I finally understand the hype surrounding this restaurant! I went a few years ago on an off night-- and I am really glad I listened to the good reviews and went back. First of all, I really appreciate the efforts Trattoria Vivolo is taking to ensure safety during COVID 19. They have spacious patio seating outside, as well as well as more secluded and intimate seating inside, complete with dividers. Both the food and the wine were fantastic. I had ordered the Linguine Nere (Squid Ink Linguine with scallops, veggies and pesto), and my boyfriend went with our server Cesar's suggestion of the Agnolotti. Both Cesar and the owner Dean were absolutely lovely, and created a really friendly and welcoming environment for us. They took really great care of us without being overwhelming, and it was exactly I needed to finish off my Sunday night. I can't wait to come back and try the pizza next time as well as another glass of that amazing Rose :) read more

Our favorite restaurant in all of Westchester! Anything you order will be fantastic and if you want something off the menu, they'll usually be able to accommodate. Some of our favorites are the pizzas, risottos, mezzi rigatoni, pollo rustica and martini. If they have stuffed chicken as a special there's an 85% chance I'm getting it because it's amazing every time. I've also enjoyed their branzino and sole. Worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. My girlfriend and I were in this town for a social event and decided to come here due to the positive reviews we had seen. We sat for over an hour waiting for our entrees with no explanation from the staff or any updates to let us know what was going on. Meanwhile the owner was happily greeting other locals and his "buddies", so if you like "good old boys" vibes and are an insecure balding Italian guy in his 50s then I suppose this place would be good for you. read more

Ordered take out from here for the first time. Food was ready just on time for pick up. Chicken Milanese was very good! Perfectly breaded cutlets served with asparagus and potatoes. The food here at Trattoria Vivolo was delicious and the decor/setting was something unexpected for Italian Food. The place is like an updated diner or a re-vamped train car with dim lighting and a beautiful back area that is all windows. They serve nice sized glasses of wine in a personal mini carafe that we enjoyed at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready. (Be prepared to wait if you don't have a reservation - but we were just 2 people so not bad!) We shared polenta as an appetizer each enjoyed a pasta dish. I personally loved the bucatini best!
