I booked Drybar for my blowout n' styling (big mistake ) and BlowOut Parlor for makeup. I got my hair done that morning and specifically mentioned that my hair does NOT hold curls well. I was hoping they'd at least last long enough to give beach wave vibes for my evening photoshoot... nope. Not even two hours later, all the curls had completely fallen out and my hair was straight. Thank God for BlowOut Parlor. I had my makeup appointment about an hour before the shoot, and while I was there I vented about my hair disaster. What an AMAZING experience!…read more I scheduled a Full Face, Eyes & Lashes and Upstyling hair appointment online. I was coming in from out of town for my daughter's wedding and I didn't know what to expect. EVERYONE was so friendly and eager to make me look beautiful! My makeup and hair exceeded any expectations I might have had walking in! Laura, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure I looked my very best. I brought my wedding outfit to change into, along with a portable steamer. When I mentioned that I was going to use the steamer on my skirt, she insisted on doing it for me. She didn't want my hair and makeup to be affected by the steam. When it looked like my husband was lost and wouldn't be able to pick me up in time for family wedding photos at the Nixon Library (just down the street), Laura insisted on driving me there herself. She got me there in time. Crisis averted. I really can't say enough about the GREAT staff, services, Laura, and my wonderful experience. It was AMAZING!!! I've been here twice and both times what I've appreciated most is the efficiency of the experience. I show the stylist a picture of what I'm looking for, my hair is washed thoroughly, and then there's about 30 minutes of styling. All in all, I'm usually done in 45 minutes or less and my hair looks gorgeous. The cost of the blowout is $60 (plus tip) so it's a little luxury but it's not too wild (and still wayyy cheaper than DryBar). Will be making this my go to spot for those special occasion blowouts!
