The portion sizes were super generous and the food was delicious! We tried the shrimp ceviche, carnita dippers, seafood tacos and Chile relleno vicio. The carnitas were our absolute favorite but there was no bad food at all. The service was wonderful and we will absolutely be back.

First time here and went with friends who been here before. Went early and got seated right away. Sat at a table and had plenty of room and chairs were comfortable. Hubby and I each enjoyed a margarita on the rocks which was delicious. They had $2 off the Gold Cadillac and it was delicious! I had the pork empanadas. There were three and served with red cabbage. Very tasty and took one home for later. Hubby ordered beef burrito and chicken burrito and came loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and sauce on top. He enjoyed his as well. Service was excellent and our server was very pleasant. After we all were done eating we all sat and talked for awhile. It was nice to catch up with our friends and extremely nice that we were able to stay at our table.

Chips and salsa were good, and complimentary . With Mexican restaurant you either like it or you don't. I did not care for this place. Went on a week night so it wasn't busy. However service was slow. The cream on my tacos weren't good. I could have went without the sauce, however the rice was good.

This is a good spot for your typical jumbo margarita. They are great flavors and pack a punch. The food here is good, nothing to write home about, but the staff is always friendly, and service is fast.

I wish I could give negative stars!! Until today, I would have given 5 stars. For the past 3 years we have ate at this restaurant weekly. My husband and I ordered the same thing every time, today we were informed (after asking) that the manager has cut portion sizes. The picture is what I got for $17.99 ( fajitas Tejana) Normally the portions are twice this size. My husband ordered the Chori Pollo, which is chicken and chorizo, there was 2 pieces of chorizo. So disappointed, we love the staff and feel bad but today will be our last time here.

Came here hungry on a Friday during quarantine. My bf and I sat at a booth and ordered (which took awhile cause I'm so indecisive) and they were very patient which I appreciated. I ordered the chicken and rice and he ordered nachos. My only complaint is that they forgot some items on both of our orders (pico on mine and guacamole and one more thing on his), but the meal was tasty and filling. Definitely a solid choice.

It's chicken nuggets not chicken fingers

We had a 50/50 experience here I ordered seafood nachos we once I got it there was more nachos without anything thing nachos with a. Bit of chess it only had 3-5 shrimp talk about a "sea food nacho" and the pico de Gallo only covered 3 bits of chips I ate more chip plane then chips with a bit of toppings in its. Also my mother ordered margarita it's was not well prepared. One more thing my sister ordered chicken finger we wait almost HALF AN HOUR and instead of chicken finger we got chicken nuggets. I hope it's just a new person who did I put order

Sour cream and guacamole all extra

We used to have a location closer to us in Pittsburgh, and we very much miss it, so we make sure to stop anytime we are on a trip and come near one! This specific Handel's Ice Cream location is on Feder Road, just down from the Feder and Hilliard Rome intersection. It is close to the business district on Hilliard Rome, but just far enough off that it is not too loud or busy. The building sits by itself, and can be accessed via Hartford Village Boulevard, or an unnamed road to the right of the store. There is a large sign that sits near Feder Road, so you will know exactly where to go. Since the building sits by itself, there is dedicated parking on both the right side and in the rear. I can see potentially at peak times this being full, but there are other parking lots adjacent to Handel's that potentially could be utilized. Some Handel's locations have an inside, but like most in Ohio, this location is completely outdoors. So, to place your order you simply walk up to the windows, and can then enjoy their bench seating or take your items to-go. When you approach the windows, you will see all of the signage, menu items, and flavors. The overall ambiance here is nice. There is a lot of bench seating and grass area to socialize and enjoy your ice cream at. There is also a fence at the front of the property to prevent anyone getting too close to Feder Road. The building itself is a classic, older Handel's design, that is very recognizable if you are familiar with the brand. They have a very nice, bright mural painted on the right side of the building that brings a lot to the space. Our visit was on a Sunday evening in September, around 6:30 PM. It was not too busy, as it was lightly raining when we stopped. We briefly waited for the few groups ahead of us to order, but then got waited on less than 5 minutes after arriving (including the time we took to look at the menu). The menu had a lot of different flavors to choose from. There were some fall options being that is was mid-to-late September, including Pumpkin flavors! Like all locations, they had cones, cups, milkshakes, sundaes, novelty items, cakes, pies, and much more. My typical order at Handel's is a 4 Scoop Sampler. This is a takeout-like container with four singular scoops of up to four different flavors. It is a great way to try several different kinds of ice cream, or simply when you cannot decide what you want to have. It is a good size if you are wanting a large sweet treat, or to split with someone else. You are able to get anything that is scooped in the 4 Scoop, which includes the sherbets, ices, and other non-traditional flavors. We were not super hungry when we stopped, so my mom, sister, and I shared the 4 Scoop Sampler. For the flavors, we chose Confetti Brownie Batter, Frosted Animal Cookie, Knot Your Average Dough, and Blueberry Cobbler. I had never tried the Knot Your Average Dough before, so I was excited to taste it. The Confetti Brownie Batter and Frosted Animal Cookie were new to my mom and sister, and then the Blueberry Cobbler is a personal favorite for my sister. I really enjoyed Knot Your Average Dough! It is a Cookie Dough-flavored ice cream with a Salted Pretzel Ripple and Cookie Dough Pieces. The ripple was my favorite part, and I would definitely order it again. I am not a huge fan personally of Confetti Brownie Batter (nothing wrong with this one, I just believe there are much better flavors Handel's makes) and Frosted Animal Cookie (in my opinion, does not taste like Frosted Animal Cookies except for the actual cookie inclusions), but both were made well. Blueberry Cobbler had a ton of Blueberry Ripple, and was great. No complaints about the quality or taste of the ice creams! We all enjoyed getting to try some new-to-us flavors. Since it was raining, and were were trying to get back to Pittsburgh, we took our ice cream to-go. Though, I would love to come back and enjoy the outdoor area on another visit. Pricing here was fair. A small scoop will run about $5 after tax. Our 4 Scoop Sampler was around $7 after tax. Most single-serve items are less than $10, so very normal as far as ice cream is concerned. Considering they make all of the ice creams in-house and with high-quality ingredients, I definitely believe the value is there. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. As stated, our service was very prompt and quick. I have no complaints about anything relating to the staff or the overall customer service here. Had a great visit to this Handel's location! Service was excellent, the ice cream was all very well-made, the location is clean, and the overall atmosphere is great. Glad that I got to have some delicious ice cream, and check out a different Handel's location. I highly recommend stopping at Handel's if you have never been, or are simply in the mood for some incredible ice cream!

Personally I think the best ice cream place around! Great service with a friendly staff.read more

For sure it has a great big menu. There's a selection of cold or hot treats like cones, burgers, and other things. I had a blue raspberry slushie because it may be one of the healthiest items on the menu. It's about $2 for the medium, which is a pretty good size. The slushie was ice cold without being too frozen and it hit the spot. Its menu features an extensive amount of ice cream, shakes, and hot food. The Z Swirl is a Blizzard knockoff. It's okay to call this that because it looks like it. They even say so on the menu. Among the other items offered on the menu is something called a walking taco, which is something like taco meat in a Dorito's bag. Of course this place isn't what you call high class, but it seems good enough for the locals. It also provides some entertainment. The oddest thing is next to its parking lot is a Confederate cemetery, which is pretty cool looking. If you like neighborhood ice cream shops come here. It's better than corporate ice cream shops. In my experience the workers have usually seemed to have been young teenagers probably a first job for many. I don't come to this kind of place expecting a stellar customer service experience, I wouldn't have been too excited to be there at that age either. Bottom line is they have great, cheap ice cream. Yes it's cash only but that's what keeps prices low and there's an ATM out front. Drive thru waits can get long depending on what the people in front of you order, but you can always park and walk up to the window. Sure, sometimes these kids are going to mess up your order but at the end of the day it's a $3 cup of ice cream.
