The online menu photos looked incredible (though I still side-eye those famous PB&J wings--maybe next time!). We chose the Treylor Park Double Wide Diner for breakfast and were thrilled we did. Pro tip: Head there early on a Sunday morning! Alcohol can't be served until after 11 a.m., so the place is surprisingly quiet and easy to get into--no crowds or long waits. We were seated right away, and our server was incredibly friendly and attentive from start to finish. My husband went for The Chupacabra--a massive chimichanga-style breakfast burrito stuffed with eggs, sausage, onions, cheddar cheese, fresh pico de gallo, Sriracha, and chipotle crème fraîche, served with cheesy grits on the side. I ordered the Brunch Nachos, which sounded fun as an "appetizer"... big mistake (or the best kind of mistake!). It was a towering plate of waffle fries loaded with cheddar cheese, bacon, sausage gravy, fried chicken, and topped with sunny-side-up eggs. Both portions were enormous and absolutely delicious--we had to pace ourselves to make a dent in them! My wife and I visited Trailer Park Double Wide Diner in Savannah on a Saturday morning after seeing positive reviews online. The restaurant was busy but appeared to be handling the crowd well, and we were seated promptly. However, shortly after entering, I noticed a strong mildew or damp mop odor inside the dining area. I have a very sensitive sense of smell, and the odor was noticeable enough that I chose not to stay. Gutter ball trash. Insanely overpriced for the trash you are served. Tourist trap from the number of Yelp reviews. This had to have changed hands over the years. The food was absolutely worthless. Seriously, McDonald's is better than this in every way. Photos to prov The ketchup bottle? Disgusting looking. They definitely refill these "do not refill" bottles. The hash browns? Look at the photos--they exploded once a fork hit them. The kitchen was incredibly slow, which resulted in barely warm food. Check out the barely cooked bacon. To top it off? A bathroom door that won't close the first or fifth time because a screw is stripped in the wood. Stupid brown "napkins" from the janitor closet were a nice touch. Straws that barely open in the plastic they're wrapped in, again because they are so cheap. Sausage that was cooked previously, more than likely. The eggs--no complaints there. The toast? Probably leftover from a local prison. The pancakes? I wonder if they were microwaved. I wouldn't go back if someone offered me free food. DO NOT GO HERE. Look at the photos and trust me. read more

I was really excited about trying out this restaurant while visiting Savannah. We went early on Saturday morning. When we got there, we were told that there would be a weight of 45 minutes. We did notice that there were several open seats and seating at the bar that was empty. We asked if we could sit at the bar if it was first come first serve and the host just told us that it was not. We went ahead and put our name on the list, but decided to walk around and see if we could find another place that we could've gotten them too faster. The restaurant was not busy and there was not a line of people waiting so I was very confused on why there was a 45 minute wait. After walking around a little bit, we did get a text saying that our table was ready so we went back to the restaurant. We noticed that the exact same tables that were empty there the first time and the bar seating was still empty. I thought that was very odd. But we decided to go ahead and order. The service was very slow. We ended up waiting for almost an hour to get our food and we got a very basic breakfast. So as soon as the food came, I asked if we could get to go boxes because my friend and I needed to leave and had to be somewhere at a certain time. Still took a pretty long time to get the boxes and you would think that once she brought the boxes she would also give us a check. So I had to wait around for the check as well. So actually didn't end up eating inside the restaurant. I took it back to the Airbnb to eat to get ready to go to where we need to be. After a morning touring the area we stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Our host immediately took us to a table and asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered the fried bologna sandwich and burger. All the food came out quickly, and we enjoyed our lunch while chatting about the area. Our family of 8 came for dinner. We had a plate of nachos for the table. Three of us had tacos to mix and match, two had sliders, and we ordered hot dogs and chicken tenders for the kids. The ambiance was fun and it was nice to find a family friendly restaurant. The servers were friendly and kind. They were understaffed that night but doing their best. The bathrooms were a little gross and in need of a quick wipe down. I loved the spin on nachos using fries instead of chips, but the portion was more meagre than the menu described. The toppings, including bits of chicken, chunks of dill pickle, and ranch dressing, were fun and tasty. The tacos were wild. We got a plate each of shrimp and grits, chicken and waffle, and chicken and pancake tacos so we could make samplers. This was the way to go as three of the same of any of those would have been exhausting. The chicken and waffle are overloaded with sugar. The strawberry salsa in the chicken and pancake was brilliant. I really liked the shrimp and grits, but I would have liked more grits. The kids dishes are pretty straightforward. The tenders were very tough. Overall, it was a fun one time experience, but we probably won't make it a Savannah destination. read more

I ordered the loaded fries because of the talk around town but I enjoyed it. It's very filling and easy to finish if in a rush. The wait staff answered all questions with no hesitations and even laughed with me as I waited for the other half of my party who went to the other location not too far down the road to arrive. What a cool experience located right in the downtown area. We walked in on a Sunday morning around 745. We were the only patrons and the staff was wonderful. I really enjoyed the Low country. The crabcake may be nervous because it was brown on the outside, but it was delicious. The bowl was filling and I even left with a little bit of leftovers. We were excited to try this place but were in a huge rush because of a ghost tour and poor planning on wandering the city beforehand. We told our server our time issue and she took it as a challenge. We ordered a single entree of fish and chips to share since we'd been snacking all day and it was the perfect amount. Walked right in on a Monday morning. Seated promptly, and server was prompt. However, the music was so incredibly loud, it was uncomfortable. I'm not generally overly sensitive to noise, but this was just too much. We agreed to have the code we had already ordered and move along with our day. While we waited to pay, another family walked in and a young boy immediately covered his ears. The music level was just unnecessary.
