Stopped by with some of my friends for a coffee before brunch! The atmosphere was nice, the people were friendly, and the menu was also explained to us! I ordered a Honey Lavender Latte, and I can't lie, it might've been one of the best coffees of my life!! It was super refreshing and the perfect sweetness. The lavender flavor was bright but not too strong, and I think the bee pollen on top was a fun touch. Even as the ice melted in my drink over time, the coffee didn't lose its flavor and I enjoyed every sip til my cup was empty :) GAH I can't wait to go back for more!!

Service was incredible. The young man who helped me was super hospitable and went above and beyond. Since it was my first time, he walked me through the menu, recommended their most popular drink which was the Son of a Sailor and even told me about their protein pastries and donuts. I ended up getting the protein coffee cake and a burrito. The coffee was great, the burrito was stuffed and actually nutritious, and the coffee cake was packed with nutrients too... maybe a little hard to swallow but still tasty overall. Awesome first experience I'll definitely be back

The coffee was very good! I usually don't like coffee too much but their horchata drink was perfectly sweet. The drink did take a lot longer to make than I expected but it's a small shop with minimal staff so it makes sense. Cute interior and small seating area

My family and I were staying at the Hotel del Coronado for the week and we wanted to find a local coffee shop for breakfast. Trident Coffee came highly recommended, but sadly it did not hit the mark for us. We ended up going to Better Buzz the following days for our coffee and breakfast fix. This place is not cheap for a quick brekkie and coffee. I ordered the Daily Rations Cold Brew with Cold Foam ($7.70) and a Breakfast Burrito ($13.95) which came out piping hot. The burrito is not hefty by any means, but this is Coronado and not San Diego proper so I don't hold that against them. Think of it as more of a wrap. My one complaint about the burrito is that the filing is chopped up and coated in sauce so it's just a mushy experience (see picture). I was stoked when I read that it included hash brown, but since it wasn't a whole crispy hash brown, you couldn't tell the hash brown from the egg or the sausage coated in the cheesy sauce. I hate to say it, but it just tasted sloppy. The 2 gentlemen working are passionate about their craft and very friendly. This place is popular with the locals and military community and I respect that. They do offer a military discount for those eligible. Thank you to all who have served and are currently serving. I'm glad I visited and supported a local business, but this place just wasn't for me.

My pittie, Cali, and I popped into this adorable coffee spot on Friday afternoon. I'd just gotten some gelato down the street & Cali was feeling a little left out of treat time, so we were in search of a pup cup! We bopped into Trident Coffee which is one of the cutest coffee shops I've ever seen! Cool nautical looking light fixtures, an Octopus mascot keeping watch over the place & lots of interesting coffee, tea & nibbles options. There are a few chairs inside & few tables/chairs outside as well. The kindest barista ever was so excited to see us, especially Cali, and he made us feel so welcome. He kindly offered her a pup cup and he delightedly gave it to her. Cali loved every aspect of this interaction & I really appreciated how nice he was to my pup. This interaction really warmed my heart so much and I will definitely stop by again the next time I'm in Coronado! Mahalo!

Solid choice for a coffee fix. We tried the salted caramel cold brew and hazelnut latte. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the cold brew coffee was. Usually I'm not a fan of cold brew because I like my coffee a little more on the creamier side. Very unique flavors. Service was also good. They have military discount as well. We didn't see the sign until after we've already paid. But good to know!

super cool store known for their specialty cold brews! we tried the Honey Lavender Latte and Blackberry Cobbler Latte, and they certainly add enough cream/ flavor that they taste more like lattes, but with the cold brew bases. drinks weren't insanely sweet, definitely recommend if you want to be adventurous!

My friend wanted to go for a birthday run in Coronado. I wanted coffee right after the run which was something I looked forward to as I pushed myself to finish the run LOL. I found this shop with a variety of cold brew options which also included nitro cold brews on the tap! As a coffee drinker, I definitely had to check it out. The location that we went to is located next to some local shops on Orange Ave in "downtown" Coronado. There's a lot of free street parking around the area but could get very hectic and almost impossible to find during holiday season, dinner hours, and weekends. My boyfriend and I wanted to try their cold brew flight, however, they only had 2 sets for the flights which was already taken by another couple. Whaaat sad. Instead, I got their New Orleans Cold Foam, one of the cold brews, annnnd it was kind of sour. It was kind of confusing, giving sweetish taste but with the sourness kept overcoming the coffee bitterness that I was looking for. I personally don't like sour cold brews but that's my own preference. Some people might enjoy them sour, but I don't think they should be sour... However, my friend and boyfriend both liked it though. My boyfriend got their Mexican Mocha, not sweet at all surprisingly! It was quite good, and the aesthetics of the drink were beautiful! Definitely a lot better than the one I got. I was bummed that I couldn't try their cold brew flight but after trying the New Orleans Cold Foam, I was a bit glad that we didn't. Maybe it was a one off day where their cold brew was steeping too long... I definitely will give it another go in the future to try their flight in the future though.

I got the trident cold brew with oat milk and my bf got the turmeric latte with oat milk. Usually i am a fan of sweeter milky coffee drinks but i was pleasantly surprised with my cold brew drink! It was very smooth and didn't taste bitter at all. Normally I add sweetness to my drinks but the cold brew was super refreshing on its own without any sweetness. The turmeric latte was sweet and had a cinnamon taste and my bf loved it as well. Would love to come back the next time I am visiting Coronado!!

Quaint little shop right in the thick of it on Orange Ave in Coronado. Close to the beach, tons of people watching and very walkable. Clean establishment and friendly service.

I am a coffee affecionado, so when I saw this place online I was intrigued. Cold brew coffee in cans? Yes, sign me up! But the thrill subsided as I took my first sip. The coffee tasted mediocre to me, and was not up to par with other cold brew coffee places such as blue bottle, in my opinion. After a few sips I ended up tossing it out, which I normally wouldn't do. This place is definitely a cute concept and obviously appeals to some, but I just wasn't one of those individuals. read more

Hands down the most flavorful coffee. If you prefer black coffee- don't go anywhere else! You can try as many flavors as you'd like before you purchase. Staff is super friendly and loves to guide you in making the perfect choice. You can add flavors and dairy or nondairy creamers- they have it all. Keto and paleo friendly too! Nice area, quaint coffee shop right down the road from the Hotel Del. Really enjoyed the coffee I got, the hot Dreadnaught latte. It was the perfect blend of bitter and sweet, though the temperature could have been a bit hotter. Servers were nice, and the nautical theme inside the shop was so different! Love this place. I've been looking for a cool spot with on tap nitro cold brews and they have really interesting options. I got a flight of 4 and really enjoyed trying them side by side so I could determine what I wanted to buy and take home. Also got a seasonal can of PSL nitro to take home and try. Excited for that. Michael and Leslie were also awesome baristas!!!! Super cool and friendly and helped me choose my flight and gave me the whole rundown on Trident and their story! read more

Best experience for coffee in Coronado. I drive down from Carlsbad weekly for my daughter's sports activities and always need to find a spot to wait for two hours. I'm so happy I found Trident. I love coffee and finding new local places when I travel. My visit to Coronado would not have been complete without a visit to Trident. Jules the Barista encourages me to try the Nitro Cold Brew and I have to say it was the Best. I also tried a Keto Churro ( no so guilty pleasure) that was healthy and delicious enough to want the recipe. I highly recommend Trident. read more

My wife and I were excited to try out this new coffee spot. My wife got the Horchata and I got son of a sailor. We never had nitro coffee so it was a new experience for us. It was definitely different but good. We are old folks who just enjoy a plain old cup of joe. The staff was extremely friendly and explained all the different varieties of coffee they had. Serving as a Naval Officer, Eric Johnson started brewing his own cold brew coffee during his final tour of duty in Iraq. He noticed how coffee and tea act as a bridge between cultural differences. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the sanitation issue, as well as how concerns like this are handled with customers.

Get your act together, this is an embarrassment to the Bird Rock name.

There's two locations as far near the convention center as I know and this is hands down the best one. SEATING: There is plenty of seating but during convention time, you'll be either standing waiting for a table or just heading off to the con with drink in tow. SERVICE: Li helped me twice over the four days and remembered my name. That was really sweet!! There is always great customer service here! I always have a pleasant experience! I love how every year they pick a theme to go with SDCC. Last year iirc was superheroes and this year's was SpongeBob! FOOD: All the drinks are fantastic!! I love how hearty the coffee is. It was always consistent in quality and quantity. I always debate on getting two drinks every time I come because it is only 4 times a year I get coffee from here. The food is always yummy too! I usually just get a bagel! OVERALL: The highlight of my July and of SDCC in general. They are the real MVPs!

I ordered an iced latte with oat-milk and a little breakfast sandwich on an English Muffin as well. The coffee was very good. It was smooth and silky from a barista blend of oat-milk. The breakfast sandwich was good. They prepare the egg with a runny yolk, so be careful. Mine burst with a yolk stream when I bit into the sandwich. On a good note, the little breakfast sandwich was quite good. The sandwich came with one fried egg, bacon, and cheese. You can choose sausage, too. The hospitality was very good. The young lady who took my order was nice and service was efficient. The sandwich was made to order and came out in a timely manner. They offer some comfortable seating outside. The baristas are super friendly, they were so generous with the pupcup, my little 10 pound pom loved. My latte was really nice too you can really differentiate between the Earl Grey and the matcha which was nice. It really gave me the caffeine I needed. It was so nice to be able to buy my books and then get a latte and read outside, definitely going to come back for books and bevvys. Also, they had a kiosk where you can buy Pokemon cards which was pretty cute.
