It was a very busy Saturday afternoon in Chinatown. We actually had to park outside of Chinatown and take a 9 minute ride Uber in. Triple Crown had a good ratings and we wanted to enjoy some dim sum. The food was decent but very Americanized. The service was quick and the staff was helpful. Bathrooms are clean which is a plus.

Delicious dim sum. I also had chicken with a variety of mushrooms. We shared piggy buns and had pot Stickers, pork buns, shrimp and chive dumplings, and sticky rice. Delicious and served quickly. Loved everything, including the leftovers.

The Triple Crown Restaurant in Chinatown is absolutely worth the trip! There was a wait (they don't take reservations), but it moved quickly and wasn't long at all. The restaurant was packed -- every seat full -- which is always a good sign. We were seated by the window, which made for a great dining spot. The restaurant was lively with large and small groups of people. The wait staff was attentive and efficient, quickly clearing tables and responding to any requests. The food was excellent. We ordered noodles, rice, hot sour soup and dumplings. One thing to note: portions are served family-style and are large enough to share. We originally thought we were each ordering individual plates, but everything came out perfect for the table. No complaints though -- we all left with leftovers, and honestly, it tasted just as good the next day warmed up! I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was perfectly made. The appetizers were a bit on the smaller side but very flavorful -- you may want to order more than one for the table. The only downside had nothing to do with the restaurant itself -- parking in Chinatown can be a challenge. However, if you dine at a participating restaurant, you can get your parking validated for $3, which definitely helps. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely return.

Triple Crown always wins my pick for hot fresh dim sum & noodles. Eight selections including beef noodles, seafood noodles, pan fried shrimp chives dumplings, stuffed shrimp eggplant, steamed bbq buns, Japanese tofu/pea pod tips, steamed bean curd pork, and my fave-bbq crepes. ALL this for 2 people!? Why not??? Leftovers even better. I'm IN!

On our last day in Chicago, my wife and I were invited out to Triple Crown in Chinatown for dim sum. The location itself was a vibe -- especially with all the Chinese New Year decorations throughout the area. It was really cool seeing Chinatown dressed up like that. As far as the food, a majority of the dim sum options leaned heavily toward pork. Since that's not really my go-to, I ordered the chicken fried rice, a pu pu platter, and chicken skewers. The food itself wasn't bad at all -- solid flavor and generous portions. I had enough to take some home for dinner, which is always a plus. One thing that threw me off was the timing. The dishes came out randomly instead of in order. Your main course might hit the table before your appetizers. My chicken skewers didn't come out until we were basically wrapping up lunch, which kind of defeated the purpose. We had a party of seven, and the wait was nearly an hour and a half. Pro tip: definitely make a reservation online before going. Service-wise, the staff seemed a bit all over the place. They weren't very attentive, and anytime we needed something, we had to flag down a random waitress. Overall, I'd give it a 7/10. The food was good, the portions were solid, and the Chinatown atmosphere was dope -- just be prepared for a wait and a little bit of chaos with service.

Located on the second floor by the main entrance of Chinatown, this restaurant (probably with a lot history) specializes in Cantonese dishes and dim sum. We ordered a bunch from there dim sum menu which were largely pretty good. The stir fried dishes that come with your choice of rice or noodles were a hit or miss. The beef shank noodles were flavorful, however the beef was too hard to chew. We also ordered chicken skewers and seafood trio from their regular menu. The skewers were not edible (too hard). The interior was outdated and don't recommend for formal occasions.

We came here for lunch on a busy Sunday afternoon. They had quoted us 40 minutes which we were fine with, but then called our name within 10 minutes. Service was ok. It was fast and efficient but nothing special. You can get Dim Sum here at a great price. It's very affordable compared to other Dim Simulator places, but the food was mediocre at best. Id honestly rather pay more for better tasting any day of the week. We ordered their BBQ Pork Fried Rice, pot stickers, BBQ Pork Buns, and bbq pork crepes. The fried rice lacked flavor and the pot stickers were similar to the Golden Bull down the street. Not that great. They were huge but very doughy and no flavor. Overall, the entire table agreed it wasn't the best tasting food. Definitely won't be returning.

The BEST dim sum! Everyone is so friendly, our servers always make the best recommendations, and it really just feels like you're at home.

Triple crown is a solid spot in Chinatown. Lots of different options of dumplings, eggrolls, and dishes. Great place to bring a big group. We had eight in our group and only waited about 10 minutes on a Saturday at 2 PM. Service was pretty fast.

I've been ordering takeout from Triple Crown for a while, but this was my first time actually eating there. And yeah... big difference. The vibe inside is really good. Feels lively but not chaotic. Staff is super friendly and straight to the point. No small talk, no waiting around. You order, they bring it out. That's how fast they are. I got the sizzling soy glazed beef short ribs or the number 74 and wow. Honestly tasted way better eating it there than at home. It came out sizzling hot. The meat was crazy tender and juicy, and the sauce had this smoky, sweet punch that just worked. Not too salty, not too sugary. Just right. I cleaned the whole plate and still wanted more, which says a lot. Portions were solid too. Only small thing, it was almost too hot to start eating right away. Overall though, everything we order was really good food. I'll be definitely coming back for more.

Service is fast and easy. Food comes out hot and tasty. Overall cost is also not bad. We picked a whole table of food and it came out around $25-30/person. Always full tables and bustling, but you can get seated pretty quickly. Good dimsum options and lots of main menu dishes to pick from too.

As a beloved traveler to Chicago, I've dined at Triple Crown before and couldn't wait to bring my boyfriend here for dim sum. We all know dim sum prices are increased 2-3x throughout the past few years, so to find a place that was not only tasty but decently priced is hard. Triple Crown satisfied both buckets. We ordered a mix of both dim sum and dishes from the kitchen and walked out so happy. Insanely quick service on a Sunday, which we loved since we were heading out after brunch. Even had leftovers to bring home! Thank you Triple Crown!

Great dining experience overall. They are efficient and helpful. During the weekends, expect to wait for 30 minutes for a table at least and if you're ordering off the menu. We luckily got seated within minutes of our wait time. They present you the dimsum menu and you write down the quantity of each item you want to order. We love getting the shrimp shumai, shrimp crepes, shrimp dumplings, and sticky rice! We also tried their buns with the pig design on it, which was so cute! We also love the hot tea as well.

The dim sum dumplings were forgetful. The service was very subpar and the restaurant smelled really bad. I would skip and go somewhere else.

Actually it IS accessible. I asked because my mother had both hips replaced and has CHF. You must call them FIRST so they can let you in through their service elevator. Not the fancy way, but it's accessible!

Does this restaurant bring dim sum on carts or do you order from the menu? Are there any dim sum places that serve on the carts in Chicago?

MingHin was packed, loud, and a little chaotic. Worth it. Dim sum is an experience as much as a meal and MingHin delivers on both fronts. We ordered more than we could keep track of. Soup dumplings that immediately became the kids' personal obsession. Shu mai that hit every time. BBQ pork buns in every form they offered because obviously. Chinese broccoli to balance out the indulgence. Everything was solid, fresh, and exactly what you want from a dim sum spread. The room was packed and buzzing but the service kept up impressively. Servers were constantly circling, clearing empty plates and dishes without missing a beat. Clean and attentive even at full capacity, which is no small thing. Fair warning if you are bringing little ones: this environment is a lot. The noise, the crowd, the overwhelming parade of food arriving at the table. Our kids loved what they ate but the sensory experience was a bit much for them. This is a place better suited for a group of adventurous adults or older kids who thrive in high energy environments. Prices are great for the quality and quantity of food you get. A Chinatown institution for good reason. Just know what you are walking into and embrace it fully.

Be prepared to wait a little bit for a table, or share a big one with another party at peak times. Some favorites: beef cheong fun with egg, siu mai, Singapore noodle, xo rice noodle rolls, spare ribs, pork and century egg congee. All the food has been very solid. Inside is always bustling and can be a bit crowded. Service is pretty friendly as far as Chinatown goes, and very efficient. There's a guy who works there who I think is the manager or something, because he puts in 200x effort and is always hustling. When he's not around it feels like something is missing. Prices are very reasonable and we like ordering a lot here so that we have tasty leftovers for later. This place has quite a few big tables and is good for large groups. My only nits are that very occasionally a dish or teacup will have a dirty spot, and that the bubble tea here is kind of meh. I don't remember exactly which one I ordered, but it was a little watery and lacking in flavor. It's also probably tough since they're boxed in by boba places now. Pro tip: When you first get your table, they'll ask you what kind of tea you want. If you ignore them or don't know how to answer, the default is green tea. Another one is to come at off-peak times. Not only will you get a table faster, but I think they tweak their portion sizes depending on how crowded it is. Definitely will be back! And I recommend you visit too
