Oh my yum. Just had lunch with my bestie. First time here for both of us. She's local and I'm not. We had the bowls. She got the tikki (spicy goodness) while I had the shawarma. We shared. And we're pleased with both. Saffron rice with lettuce and tomato then a decent serving of the protein with a yogurt sauce. Our server was amazing (Samoan young man) who really made us feel welcome as did the other server and even the mgr. Our tea and coffee were super late but our server updated us. I ordered a falafel plate and falafel wrap using the yelp app. A lady called to make sure my order was correct since I'm vegan and asked if I wanted to remove the garlic sauce (which I didn't know had dairy). I appreciated that she called me to make sure the order was correct. We also tried the roasted red pepper hummus it was small for 4.99 but super delicious and they give you a lot of pita. Great food, but very poor service. I called the restaurant and ordered the Chicken Tikka bowl around 11:30 am for pick up. They said it would be ready by 12:15 so I arrived around 12. There was one large table and one small table that was being served by 1 waiter. I stood in front of the register and kept trying to make eye contact with the server so I could ask him about my order, but he kept ignoring me and running around. I could see the cooks in the back moving about, but not preparing food. I waited a little bit and the cashier showed up, so i asked him about my order and gave him my name. He looked confused when I gave him my name and he told me he would check on it. He went to the back and told me the were working on it. I waited about 15 minutes, but heard nothing. I walked to the back and asked the manager about my order. She went to check on it, came back, and told me they were working on it. So I waited and waited and it was about 12:45 by then. A woman came in and told the waiter about her online order. He went to the kitchen and returned 10 or so minutes later with her order. I asked him again about my order and he said they were STILL working and on it. By that time, it was around 1 and I was pretty mad. So I had to openly become frustrated, tell the guy I had waited 45 min and demand my order. The guy acted apologetic and went to the back and returned with my order. By the time I was ready to go it was already 1:15. The food here was excellent, but I advise you, you must be willing to wait for a long time. read more

This is my favorite Mediterranean restaurant. I've had their chicken tikka and lamb burger. Portion sizes are good. I must have eaten 6/7 lamb burgers during burger week. Quality is excellent! Lamb burger meat is not gamey as I had anticipated. I wish this restaurant would find their way to the southside/downtown area. read more

The. Food. Is. Phenomenal! I love this place. I always get the rice bowl or calzone. I've been here about 4-5 times now because it is close for me for lunch. The ONLY complaint I have is that it takes a while to get your food. If you have enough time for lunch, you should definitely try it. More recently, I noticed people came in and got their food immediately delivered to them, so you should try and order online ahead of time to beat the rush. (Frustating for the people that don't, though!) I prefer this place to Pasha even though it is out of the way otherwise (i.e. if i'm not going for lunch) You should definitely try it! read more

Do not eat here!!! Lynn (waitress) has horrible service and very difficult. I had to wait to order my food because the appetizers hadn't come out. I never even ordered an appetizer. I asked for a plastic cup to drink my beverage due to them not having straws. I was told I couldn't have a plastic cup unless I didn't finish my beverage and wanted to take it to go. So I'm forced to place my mouth on their dirty glass during CoVid pandemic. The waitress needs better customer service and better service to the needs of the customer not being argumentative and snappy. I am completely dissatisfied with the service here. The bathrooms are disgusting and the door swings outward with no paper towels to dry your hands on. Their is only one female stall and the other one is used to store junk. I do not recommend anyone eating here until the service is improved. The customer is always right. The only issue I had is we ordered a rice bowl and pretty much looked like the salad more than the rice bowl so obviously I advised the waiter and she stated she could not take that off the check even though it was not touched. Therefore, the customer service part for me will make me not want to come back to this restaurant. I've been coming here for years but they just loss a customer and I def will share my experience with my friends and military community. Went for a quick lunch today, the Weather was gloomy but I had the taste for mediterranean food. I love mediterranean food, the taste of it makes me smile for days! We arrived to the restaurant around 1428, only 3 poeple were in there eating, and the host greeted us quickly. She let us pick any seat because they were not busy at all. I ordered the chicken Tikka Flatbread and falafel , my other half ordered the chicken Tikki rice bowl. We waited about 15 minutes, my falafels were delicious and the chicken tikka Flatbread was spicy but worth every bite mmmmm mmmmm. The chicken Tikka rice bowl was not my favorite but okay. My other half was not very impressed, he ate more of my Flatbread. Overall, the waitress was very polite and delightful. read more

I've been here dozens of times over the past 5 years. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend eating here. I tired to give them one last chance but they failed short. Service was good today however they were out of the cheese sambusa. Running short of menu items is a normal occurrence here so always ask and have a back up choice. I ordered a rice bowl but one of my topping was missing. I explained this to the wait staff and if you could let the manager Adam know. Manager never got notified or didn't have time to come out. The rice bowl tasted great but the portions also seemed smaller. I will stick to other Mediterranean places nearby that provide better consistent quality. read more

Excellent flavor and food! The portion sizes for the meat are rather small for what they charge. I've been here 3 times in total but there is always something a little off. The first time it took almost an hour to get the floor after sitting down (not enough staff). Secondly, I was charged for a protein bowl when I had ordered a lamb bowl (almost $4 difference) and the cashier refused to acknowledge the server had put down the wrong item. He just shrugged and said I must be wrong. The manager had to step in. Lastly, I received a to-go lamb bowl that was mostly white lettuce and had a small amount of lamb. It was supposed to be basmati rice, lettuce, grilled peppers, Tripoli's sauce, feta, no tomatoes, no onions, and substitute for cucumbers. I'd say greater than 50% of my bowl was lettuce but I didn't order a salad. It's sad that this place had such issues because the spiced meats are fantastic. read more

OMG. I do not believe I did not know this restaurant was here! How I've been missing out! Located in the newer strip mall next to Yo Fresh and a huge Pizza/Wings place, Tripoli's is a hidden treasure. It looks small and unsuspecting from the outside but when you enter you have the option to go straight, in to the glassed in Huka Lounge or to hang a left then walk straight back to the Tripoli's dinning area. I was greeted by a friendly server who took my drink order right away. The menus are under glass on the table so it really takes away any guesswork or waiting for menus. I ordered the falafel appetizer, Greek salad and mixed chicken shwarma and gyro. My favorite was by far the falafel appetizer and would recommend to anyone. Four large patties, freshly made with what I'm guessing was tahini in the middle. Amazing. The Greek salad was plentiful with the feta cheese, tomatoes, onion and sadly black olives (the one thing preventing me from giving 5 stars). As stated on the menu it says it comes with kalamata olives, which I love. I was further a little saddened when my meal came out with another black olive in my hummus *sigh* that however was the only disappointment. The chicken shwarma was tasty but I really like the chunks of lamb. The hummus was fabulous. The rice flavorful but not overpowering. They apparently do a lunch buffet Monday - Thursday. Overall I really liked the food here. Wish they had naan like places in the Mideast do. Some of the food could use a little more flavor. The portion sizes were pretty good, and we had some leftovers. Liked the little pizza looking things. Look like fatair, but they call it something else. The kabob is good, but not the best. I'd recommend the place if you're in the area and want Mediterranean. Some of the prices are kind of high for what you get and the flavor. I'd go back, but it's not my favorite. One caveat, I've lived in the Middle East for quite awhile and love Middle Eastern food and might be a tough critic because I know how amazing it can be and should be. Stopped in Tripoli's for lunch today and had a killer meal. I had heard a lot of good things about this place from colleagues and it did not disappoint. It's located in a busy strip mall and marking is somewhat limited, but managed to find a spot pretty quickly. Supposedly they get really really busy around 12, so try and get there 11:30-11:45 before it's too packed. You are able to seat yourself when you walk in and there's plenty of tables. Decor is very basic, but doesn't matter because this place is all about the food. The server came over promptly and took our orders, I got the chicken tikka kabob rice bowl for $8.75. The food came out in about 10 minutes and the portion size was pretty decent.. Just the right amount for lunch. Lots of chicken, hot rice, and fresh vegetables, all covered in an awesome white yogurt-ish sauce. Lots of great flavors in this dish. You pay at the front counter on your way out. The waiter forgot to put in my appetizer and brought out my meal. I asked him where my appetizer was and he just blamed it on the kitchen. I told him I didn't want the appetizer any longer and that I'd be fine with just my entree. he then argued with me and told me he'd just box it for me.
