Very fast and friendly service. Waiter comes to check in on you often and make sure you're doing okay! Smaller restaraunt, but usually has space. Super solid indian food as well! FOOD: Garlic Naan (7/10) - Solid garlic naan, but a bit too crispy / burnt for my liking. Still goes well with the curry Chicken Tikka Masala (9/10) - One of the better ones that I've had in the Bay Area! You can adjust your spice level as well :)

I first went to Trisara after work to catch up with friends. There was plenty of seating around 6pm, and the service was fast too. We went for the Chicken Jhol Momo and Butter Chicken. The momos were really juicy and slathered in a nice tangy sauce. The butter chicken was also pretty solid, it had the familiar creamy, tomoatoey flavors one would expect. My main qualm is the lack of spice in both dishes, as I've come to expect in Indian/Nepali foods

Came here for a quick bite while in the area. Service is great. I will say food is just okay. Not the best south Asian food I've had but gets the job done. I went especially for the momos and they were just okay. Yummy but I wouldn't come back for them.

Came here for a quick bite for dinner with friends. The service was nice, food doesn't take that long to come out. The okra was okay, it tasted kind of stringy like it was a little old. The garlic naan was very greasy. But the two main protein dishes we got were tasty and had good flavor. With half the dishes being okay, idt I'd come back.

I visit SF fairly often for work and everytime I do, I make sure to try a different Indian restaurant. It's one of my favorite foods and I love trying new spots while traveling. It had been a minute since I had tried Nepali - Indian food so when I discovered this restaurant on Yelp, I decided to give it a go. It was only a few blocks from my hotel and their menu looked great. I went with my favorites - samosa, garlic naan, and vegetable korma. It was ready and waiting for me when I arrived and everything was packaged well. The samosas were perfectly fried with a delicious filling of potatoes and green peas. They came with a tamarind sauce for dipping. When I order these they typically come with a mint chutney of some sort, so I would have loved to have that option as well. The garlic naan was a wee bit too hard in some spots, but the chewiness was spot on and it was a great vessel for my korma. The korma itself wasn't super flavorful, but it was creamy and the vegetables were cooked just right. The serving size was also pretty hefty. I found the prices of everything to be extremely reasonable and ordering online was easy. While it wasn't one of my favorite spots, it was yummy and filled me up and even left me with some leftovers.

Came here for lunch with coworkers. We got chicken momo, goat curry and okra. The servings looked small when it first got to our table but turns out it was just enough for our table of three. None of the spices were overpowering. Service was fantastic. Just keep in mind it takes some time to cook the dishes so probably can't come here if you're on a strict lunch break. Make sure you have ample time to wait.

This place deserves 5 star and I have good reasons for it. It is a Nepalese place but you will find the menu pretty similar to Indian. So what's the difference - it is how Nepalese food is made. I tried the Spinach chicken and I can totally feel authentic Nepalese taste. More turmeric, slightly higher salt, super soft chicken likely cooked in cooker with more liquidy gravy topped with generous amount of cilantro. All very typical of Nepalese style of cooking. Even the Mango Lassi was pretty solid - felt fresh and not going sour whatsoever. If there was anything which was a little underwhelming - it was the Aloo Paratha. It was good but it was made like Bihari/Nepali style. If you are expecting Punjabi style paratha - you will be disappointed. Ambience is ordinary but given the place is located in SF downtown, I won't complain.

Great whole in the wall in the heart of SoMa - super lowkey decor and friendly staff. They have a few beers on the menu and excellent food spanning Nepalese and Chinese. You don't leave feeling over stuffed or breaking the bank.

Such a yummy and homey spot! Waiters are super nice and there's always a table open :) family run spot with great food - momos: got 1/2 veggie and 1/2 meat and both were so delicious - garlic bread: classic - palak paneer: so yummy! Good thickness and ratio to paneer - honey chicken: just as good as any chinese restaurant - chicken tikka: nice flavor and large amount

    Paneer pakora

The food was absolutely delicious! My family and I came here and ordered fried rice, chow mein, chicken tikka masala, raita, paneer pakora, vegetable momo's, and butter naan. Highly recommend each dish. So flavorful, and spicy, and just the right portion. We now have a staple spot to visit in SF! And very kind service as well! :)

It's Himalayan/Nepalese food, and it's got plenty of gluten free options (a must, and always looking for tasty places with gf items). They are labeled as such on the menu, making ordering a breeze. We ordered the kale chaat, as recommended by many Yelpers. I'd agree that it's worth an order. It's a powerful punch of flavor along with a mixture of textures, really lovely! We also ordered the okra, daal bhat, and momos (partner said these were just okay). Atmosphere is like a club/lounge, but don't let that deter you, it didn't feel shady or anything, just a little dark in lighting, cozy booths and tables, etc. Service was also great, and overall, we had a worthwhile experience here!

It was surprising that we were able to get served so quickly on a weekend night, but actually about an hour later, the entire restaurant was packed so we got lucky. I actually couldn't believe that I hadn't tried this restaurant until recently given how many reviews it has. Between the six of us, we ordered a variety of dishes to share for the table. Some of the things that we ordered included the butter chicken, the garlic naan, the coconut naan, plain naan, along with the chow mein with shrimp, pork belly small plate, the kale chaat, the daal bhat, and the chicken momos. From this list, my favorites were the garlic naan, the chow mein, and the kale chaat. Next time, I'd skip over the pork belly as it wasn't anything special. The coconut naan wasn't my favorite either but was nice to try something new. I also didn't really enjoy the daal bhat though I know it's a popular dish of theirs. To each their own. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back. I don't crave this type of cuisine too often, but when I do, this will definitely be the spot to hit up.

Based on my recent order, everything was executed beautifully, from the rich curries to the fresh sides. The Stars of the Show Chicken Tikka Masala: This classic dish was a creamy revelation. The chicken was incredibly tender, and the sauce struck a perfect balance--rich and flavorful without being overly heavy or sweet. It's easily one of the best versions I've had in the city. Saag Curry Lamb: A true highlight! The lamb was cooked to perfection, falling apart with gentle pressure. The Saag (spinach) curry itself was deeply savory and earthy, seasoned masterfully to complement the meat. It had a wonderful, comforting depth of flavor. Sides & Bread Perfection Yellow Rice with Vegetables: This was a vibrant and flavorful accompaniment. The rice was perfectly cooked--fluffy and separate--and the inclusion of fresh, tender vegetables (carrots, peas, etc.) made it a substantive and refreshing side dish. Garlic Cheese Naan: Absolutely essential! The naan was warm, pillowy, and generously stuffed with melted cheese and fresh garlic. It wasn't greasy, and the balance of savory garlic and gooey cheese made it irresistible for dipping into the curry sauces. Overall Verdict Yarsa Napalese Cuisine delivers an exceptional dining experience. The ingredients taste fresh, the spices are complex and aromatic, and the preparation shows genuine care and expertise. If you're looking for fantastic Nepalese and Indian classics in San Francisco, look no further. This place is a gem! The service was great ! The waiter was very friendly and it was a nice vibe in.
