What impressed me most was how thoughtfully they approached the installation to minimize any drywall disruption. They made only a minimal number of very small, tidy holes to complete the wiring -- and that made patching them up afterward an absolute breeze. In a situation where things could easily have turned messy, they kept everything incredibly clean and controlled. Their attention to detail was exceptional. Update on this story they sent out a supposedly tech to diagnose the problem this tech was all of 20-25? He had NO idea what he was doing. I was the installer of the generator I mean the pad to the gas line to the electrical to the panel. The guy opened the cover and ran a few programs to clear the faults from the controller- couldn't do it. So he removed the controller from the unit to look at it. He said the controller needed an update ok the problem was that there was no ubc on it and that I needed a new controller so I says how much for the controller? (U don't want to know ) So I go to eBay and find one for a quarter of the cost and buy it. Well I installed it and guess what IT WASNT the problem. So now you know why don't believe what someone says about the problem you're having read more

They came out to check my back up generator-in less than five minutes. He tells me it needs a new battery. He told me the new battery will cost $250. I told him what kind of battery is that? He said, "I buy it from AutoZone. It's a regular 26R battery that goes in on a car." I said that's a lot of money for a car battery. He said, "+150 to put it in." I quickly looked up the 26R at AutoZone and I'll attach the picture. they had one for $140 and one for $199. I asked him, I said, " listen I don't want to get taken advantage with the battery price"He said, " no it's whatever I pay plus $20" I said ok that sounds fair. I said, will you bring me the receipt from AutoZone? He said, "YES"! Right before he left. I showed him the picture that I'm going to attach here. He told me he'll show me the receipt when he gets back. Anyway, long story short when he got back and put the battery in and came and gave me a bill for $410. I asked him where was the receipt for the battery? He told me,"he doesn't give receipts for the battery" and I said, "You told me that you would" he just stood there. I've done a lot of business in this Desert for the last 35 years, I had my own window cleaning company here for 25 year- When this guy came and knocked on the door I should've went with my first instinct-I knew he was going to try and take advantage of me, and he did. I don't recommend Hegge AT ALL. I don't know if they've changed hands over the years, but I'm disgusted. I thought I would call their office in the morning before I write this, but I don't want any more aggravation about it. (It seems there are fewer businesses everyday operating honestly.) I have used them multiple times in the past and they have always done an excellent job. That said, My last experience was not as good. I needed some pagoda lights installed at the end of my driveway. They installed the lights, but there were different heights and didn't look quite right. So we had them return to set them at the proper height. One of them wasn't completely threaded into the base and fell over. I fixed it. But my biggest issue is the billing invoice. It's so vague. They don't list how much an hour they charge , and exactly how much materials cost, just the amount of time they spent at my house. Most consumers want to know this information. read more

I used Hegge to install 2 Ring motion sensor lights and cameras. Jesse showed up a few minutes before the estimated time, was thorough in checking the electrical source, and installed the 2 items in a little over an hour. Evidently the business owner from Hegge Electric found the need to reply with supercilious comments including one stating that my employer contacted her about my supposed conduct towards her. The other responses she alleged have been forwarded to our legal counsel as they're considered defamatory. It should be known that I've referred a lot of new customers to Hegge Electric with zero concerns. We've never had one issue with our work orders except when they billed us as an emergency response at 11:00 am on a weekday where their technician responded and just sat around for two hours waiting for the utility company to arrive. This current work order was NOT a misunderstanding as Sherryl Hegge stated. They've evidently had some turnover of staff in their front office which in my opinion has caused some communication issues with their scheduling. That's all Sherryl Hegge should've said but instead she attacked me personally. It will not go unnoticed nor will I respond further on this forum as I utilized it when their service guarantee failed and then they refused to accept responsibility for their shortcoming. It should be known that we hired a competitor of theirs who is schedule tomorrow to replace an electrical pedestal that Hegge stated would take 2-5 weeks to arrive and install. Our new electrical company found nice supply that will arrive tomorrow and I've ordered 6 more to be replaced next week as we've got sone aging pedestals. I like this new company as they performed some preventive maintenance for us and have identified some issues that we'll need to correct soon. Hegge never had the time to perform any preventive maintenance for us. It's sad that a business owner would feel the need to attack a once loyal customer publicly and stoop to lying about my employer contacting them. I had wiring for electrical shade done by Victor and his associate. They climbed in attic, had to drill in dry wall, and also educated me about my outlets. They were on time. My dogs liked them (important because they are good judges of character!). They left the place swept and used great care to clean up any marks or dirt left on wall. They were also pleasant. The technician did not give the best solution on how to run a 220volt wire from our electrical panel to our new stove. He wanted to run the line outside in a conduit with us having to remove our outdoor enclosed (pool) shower so he could reach the kitchen area from outside. We went with another contractor who did the work for 1/3 the price and ran the wire safely through our home's attic with no issues. read more

Hegge Electric sent out an electrician to fix a recessed light, which fell out shortly after he left. He came back in September and fixed the light that he didn't repair the first time. We paid $143.00 for the 1st failed repair and weren't billed for the second, correct repair. We assumed it was free of charge. Well, today my husband got a nasty call from Hegge billing stating our account was past due. We never received a bill for the second visit, but now told 6 months later it's past due. The first visit we were given an invoice before the tech left, the second visit nothing. We paid the second $143.00 and my husband was much nicer than I would have been. Great service. On time. Thorough clean-up. We installed a high voltage charger. Our garage is far from our service drop, but the tech, Victor, who came out to estimate the job found a clever way to use a secondary distribution box and save us over $2,000. He did a thorough walk-through of our home, inside and out, to determine exactly what our power need would be. The written estimate came the next business day. Victor advised us on where all the work would be done, and how. When it came time to do the installation, Victor headed the crew that was here all day. The work went exactly as proposed, with "no ups and no extras." At one point Victor asked me to join him in the garage. Concerned, I asked if anything was wrong. He said, "No. If we have a problem, we solve the problem. I just want to get your approval on the right height for the charger." This pretty much summarized their approach. Thye plan thoroughly, and do the work professionally. There are no shortcuts; they used first rate materials; they pulled a permit, and arranged the final inspection. Everything passed, of course. This was not an inexpensive job, but Hegge's labor rates and material charges are not at all out of line. There was just a lot of work to do. Everyone - the owner of the company, the office staff, the electricians - was cheerful, professional, super-responsive, and consistently on-time.
